Elon Musk, who formally bought Twitter for an unknown sum, has fired Twitter's Indian descent CEO Parag Agrawal.

According to reports, Musk fired Ned Segal, the chief financial officer, of deceiving him and Twitter investors over the volume of fake accounts on Twitter, along with Parag and Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal, policy, and trust.

In May 2022, Musk made a bid to purchase the microblogging platform, but the deal fell at the last minute since Musk and his investors lacked precise information about the fake and bot accounts on Twitter.

Here is some less well-known info about the former Twitter CEO.

Parag Agrawal was born in 1984 in Mumbai.

He attended the Mumbai Atomic Energy Central School for his education. Playback singer Shreya Ghoshal was his classmate.

IIT Bombay is where Parag completed his B. Tech. in computer science. He scored 77th rank in IIT-JEE.

After relocating to the US in 2005, Parag Agrawal graduated from Stanford University with an MS and a PhD in computer science.

Parag held research internships at Microsoft, Yahoo, and AT&T prior to joining Twitter.
