India’s leading multiplex chain, PVR INOX Limited, has introduced a bumper offer for movie lovers by launching the second edition of their cinema subscription service. This new coupon offer, named ‘PVR Passport 2.0,’ comes after the initial launch of the PVR Passport coupon service a few months ago. Taking into account the feedback received during the first attempt, PVR INOX Limited has introduced modifications to the old service and rolled out ‘PVR Passport 2.0’. But what exactly is this ‘PVR Passport’ service? And what does the offer through ‘PVR Passport 2.0’ entail? Let’s find out.
What is the ‘PVR Passport’ Service?
Typically, audiences prefer watching movies in theaters. However, watching movies in theaters every week can become an expensive affair, leading many to prefer streaming movies on OTT platforms instead. To address this issue and attract audiences to their theaters, PVR INOX Limited has introduced a coupon system. By providing a set number of tickets at a reduced price in the form of coupons, they aim to draw more viewers. As part of this initiative, the first version of the PVR Passport service was launched offering ten movies for Rs. 700. Following a positive response from the audience, PVR has now announced new coupon offers with some changes in the second iteration.
‘PVR Passport 2.0’
Through ‘PVR Passport 2.0’, moviegoers can purchase coupons for four movies at just Rs. 349, which must be used within a month. These coupons are only valid on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, excluding weekends. Normally, ticket prices at PVR multiplexes can go up to Rs. 200. According to this rate, purchasing tickets for four movies would cost up to Rs. 800. By buying the ‘PVR Passport 2.0’ coupon, viewers can get four tickets for half the price, effectively costing only Rs. 87 per ticket. This offer allows movie enthusiasts to fulfill their desire to watch a movie every week at a lower cost. However, it remains to be seen whether these coupons will be applicable for big movie releases, for which the company needs to provide clarification.
Limited Offer!
The ‘PVR Passport 2.0’ offer will only be available for two weeks and is limited to a select few. In this round, the company has announced that 50,000 passes will be available to the audience. These coupons can be purchased on the PVR and INOX websites as well as their respective apps. Additionally, the passes can also be acquired via the Paytm app, as announced by PVR INOX Limited through a poster. With ‘PVR Passport 2.0’ now available nationwide, the passes are selling out quickly, according to the organizers. Therefore, those looking to watch four movies at a reduced cost should hurry to purchase their passes.
