This Week’s OTT &  Telugu Movie Releases (Jan  5th 2023)

The new year has begun. Big movies are coming as Sankranti gifts. Therefore, there aren’t many notable films in theaters this week, turning everyone’s attention to OTT platforms. Accordingly, this week we will see a host of new movies and web series streaming on OTT platforms. Let’s take a look at what they are.

Movies/Web Series Releasing on OTT

Calling Sahasra

‘Calling Sahasra,’ starring Sudigali Sudheer, has already arrived on OTT. It’s streaming on Amazon Prime from January 1. Directed by Arun Vikkirala, this movie was released in theaters on December 1 and didn’t receive much acclaim. Considering Sudigali Sudheer’s popularity among TV audiences, it was quickly brought to OTT. Dalisha plays the female lead in the movie.

Hi Nanna

Nani’s newest film, ‘Hi Nanna,’ is scheduled for its OTT debut this week. It will be available on Netflix starting January 4. Originally slated for a Sankranti release, the film’s streaming date has been advanced to the 4th. Mrunal Thakur features alongside Nani in the movie.

Conjuring Kannappan

‘Conjuring Kannappan,’ which was a super hit in Kollywood last year, is releasing on OTT this week. This horror thriller will be available on Netflix from January 5 and can be watched in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Regina, Nassar, and Saranya play key roles in the film.

#90s

The web series ‘#90’s’, directed by Aditya Hasan and starring Shivaji and Vasuki in lead roles, is also set to stream. Taglined as ‘A Middle-Class Biopic,’ it will be available on ETV Win from January 5. The makers have stated that the scenes and emotions revolving around a middle-class family will captivate the viewers. The series promises to be engaging with its mix of fun, joy, and struggles.”
