‘Tillu Square,’ starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran, is the much-awaited sequel to the hit ‘DJ Tillu.’ Under Mallik Ram’s direction and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, the movie had already created buzz with its trailer, teaser, and posters. Now hitting theaters, it’s time to dive into this review and find out if Siddhu has once again captivated the audience with his portrayal of Tillu, bringing laughter and entertainment.

    The Story

Tillu Square‘ continues the adventure from ‘DJ Tillu,’ with Tillu (Siddhu Jonnalagadda) bouncing back from his injuries to launch ‘Tillu Events,’ a new venture into wedding and DJ event planning. Enter Lily Joseph (Anupama), who comes seeking Tillu’s expertise to celebrate her birthday in style. The plot thickens: How will Tillu handle this new request, especially with his heart still mending from Radhika? And why does the mafia boss Mehboob Ali (Murali Sharma) get tangled in their lives? Plus, the big question: Does Radhika (Neha Shetty) make a comeback into Tillu’s world? For the answers, the movie awaits in theaters.

    Performance

Siddhu Jonnalagadda, reprising his role as DJ Tillu, shines once more with his flawless comedic timing, captivating audiences in cinemas. In certain scenes, his charm is undeniable, guaranteeing a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Anupama Parameswaran, bringing a fresh take on Radhika, dazzles with her performance and appeal, striking a chord with the younger crowd. The on-screen dynamic between Siddhu and Anupama is just perfect. Murali Sharma, portraying the mafia don, perfectly embodies his character with his seasoned acting. Muralidhar Goud, as Tillu’s father, impresses with his humor. The rest of the cast also put in solid performances, contributing well within their roles.

    Direction

Mallik Ram, the director, has skillfully shaped ‘Tillu Square‘ to echo the entertaining spirit of ‘DJ Tillu,’ with a strong emphasis on fun and entertainment. He brings Tillu’s character to life in a captivating way. The inclusion of Anupama as an updated Radhika further enhances the movie’s appeal. This sequel raises the stakes in romance, clearly targeting a younger audience. While the comedy hits the mark and the dialogues are memorable, the plot doesn’t venture far from the familiar. The narrative unfolds with a predictable pattern, infused with DJ Tillu’s unique zest. Certain plot twists fall short of expectations, and some of Murali Sharma’s lines in the latter half come across as nonsensical. Despite these hiccups, the movie remains an entertaining watch from start to finish.

    Technically

On the technical front, all departments have shown commendable work. The songs by Ram Miriyala and the background score by Thaman enhance the movie’s appeal. The cinematography by Sai Prakash presents beautiful and colorful visuals. Editing by Naveen Nooli is crisp. The production values are high, indicating the producers didn’t hesitate to spend where necessary.
