The mini auction for the 2023 IPL season has come to an end. All the teams have acted strategically and acquired players.
Though it’s a mini-auction, the biggest spending in IPL history has been noted in this auction.
The Punjab Kings paid Rs. 18.5 crores for England all-rounder Sam Curran, making him the most expensive player in IPL history. Australian all-rounder Cameron Greene cost the Mumbai Indians 17.5 crores.
England all-rounder Ben Stokes was acquired by Chennai Super Kings for a record-breaking Rs 16.5 crore.
For 16 crore rupees, Lucknow Supergiants acquired Nicholas Pooran. Harry Brook and Mayank Agarwal each cost Sunrisers Rs 13.25 crore and Rs 8.25 crore, respectively.
Amit Mishra, the oldest player in the league, was acquired by the Lucknow SuperGiants for 50 lakhs.
The youngest player at the auction, Afghan spin bowler Mohammad Ghazanfar, was unable to secure a purchase.
