Rishi Sunak was born on may 12, 1980 in Southhampton, Hampshire, UK to an Indan origin family.
Early Life
His Father Yashvir gew up in Kenya and Mother Usha Sunak was born in Tanzania. They have migrated from Africa to Britan. Yashvir was a Doctor while Usha was a pharmacist.
He is the eldest of three siblings. His brother Sanjay is a psychologist and his sister Raakhi works in New York as chief of strategy and planning at the United Nations global fund for education in emergencies.

Sunak studied at Winchester College and read Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at Lincoln College, Oxford, in 2001. The 42-year-old also did his MBA as a Fulbright Scholar from Stanford University in 2006
Education
In the US, Rishi and Akshata Murthy attended the same college. Eventually, they fell in love and with the blessing of their parents, were wed in Benguluru in 2006.

Akshata Murty is the daughter of Infosys founder NR Narayan Murthy. Rishi and Akshata were blessed with two daughters Anoushka and Krishna.
Marriage & Kids
Sunak worked for the investment bank Goldman Sachs as an analyst (2001 - 2004). He worked for the hedge fund management firm The Children's Investment Fund Management and became a partner of the company in 2006. Sunak was also a director of Catamaran Ventures an investment firm owned by his father-in-law.
Business Career
He was selected as the Conservative candidate for Richmond (Yorkshire) in October 2014. In 2015, he became MP from the Richmond constituency.
Polictical Entry
From 2015-17, he was a member of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee.
Served as deputy minister for local affairs in 2018 during the second term of then PM Theresa May.
Rishi again won the MP seat in 2019 general election from Richmond constituency .
2019 Election
In 2019, he was appointed Chief Secretary to Treasury by Boris Johnson and also became a member of the Privy Council.

Sunak, on July 5, 2022, resigned from his post along with minister Sajid Javid, expressing a lack of confidence in Johnson's leadership.
After Johnson resigned he ran for PM post. Despite the support from Many MP’s Rishi lost to Liz Truss by 21000 votes in Tory voting.
