The hero who grew up with a gangster works for a goal. He also stands by his master gangster who raised him. But after an attack on his master, the Hero's whole life takes a different turn. The remaining story is all about twists and turns in finding out who attacked his master.

Story

‘Michael’ is a pure gangster genre movie. Director Ranjith shot it stylishly. But it would have been better if they had paid more attention to the story and narration.

How has it Fared?

Most of the movie progresses without any surprises and the audience can easily guess it. The twist in the interval also lacked the punch.

The main thing which is needed in gangster movies is a very good screenplay and Michael fails in this department.  It looked like the other big cast was not given due importance and screen time and it felt like they were wasted.  Also, the movie has a more serious feel without any commercial elements.

Sandeep Kishan tried to give his career best in this movie. His body is a plus for the character. And Sandeep really impressed with the action sequences.

Performance of Actors

Gautham Menon made a splendid job with what he got in the movie. There are many fans who want to just see him on the screen and boy he didn't disappoint. Fans will like his stylish speeches and dialogue in this movie as well.

Vijay Sethupathi and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar the biggies, didn't have adequate roles and screen time. Heroine Divyansha Kaushik has done well. Anasuya Bharadwaj performed okay.

Although the story and narration are weak, technically the film is strong. The canvas of the movie looks rich. The cinematography by Kiran Kaushik is very good. Sam CS's music is ok but the background music could have been better in many scenes. In terms of production, the film was shot without any compromise.

How is it technically?

A story, a narrative Lack of suitable screentime for other big actors

Minus points

Michael's character Cinematography Background music Rich visuals

Plus Points

Rating: 2.75

Those who like gangster movies will like the movie. The story is not a new story, seen in many movies. Visuals and BGM are good. You can see it once on the weekend.
