According to reports, Musk fired Ned Segal, the chief financial officer, of deceiving him and Twitter investors over the volume of fake accounts on Twitter, along with Parag and Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal, policy, and trust.
In May 2022, Musk made a bid to purchase the microblogging platform, but the deal fell at the last minute since Musk and his investors lacked precise information about the fake and bot accounts on Twitter.
