Sunil Narang and Tollywood celebrities Rana, Mahesh, and Venkatesh to launch 'AMB Classic' first drive-in theater in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is all set to have its first-ever 'Drive In Theatre' at Shamshabad Airport. The project is named 'AMB Classic' and will be set up in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.

The Director of Asian Cinemas, Sunil Narang, and popular actors Rana Daggupati, Venkatesh, and Mahesh Babu have joined hands to establish this unique theater.

Who?

They have signed an agreement with GMR Group and are waiting for the government's permission to commence construction work.

A drive-in theater is a type of outdoor cinema where people can park their cars and watch movies on a large screen in a public space.

What is a Drive-In Theater?

The primary feature of a drive-in theater is the ability for viewers to remain in their vehicles while enjoying the movie.

The organizers are hopeful of completing the construction work at the earliest, and if everything goes according to plan, the theater will be available for public viewing during Dussehra.

The architect who designed AMB Cinemas in Gachibowli has been approached for the construction of  this 'Drive-In Theatre.'

The theater will be constructed with  a parking capacity of around 150 cars, and two gates will be set up.

The Telangana government has been exploring various entertainment options for the people of Hyderabad, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, HMDA proposed the idea of a 'Drive-In Theatre' to the government.

The Telangana government has decided to set up 'Drive In Theatres' at the outer ring road interchanges, and HMDA has been directed to select a suitable location among the 19 interchanges.

Starlit Cinemas has been occasionally screening movies in the Drive-In Theatre at the Hitex outdoor area in Hyderabad. However, now we will get  a permanent Drive-In Theatre at Shamshabad.
