Superstar Krishna is one of the pioneers of Telugu cinema. He’s one of the biggest names in the Indian cinema industry. He has appeared in more than 350 films as an actor. In his cinematic career, the renowned actor experimented with every genre.

Krishna began his career by acting in family dramas and love stories, but soon he began experimenting with other genres as well. He is thought to be the generation's most well-liked action figure. Krishna has appeared in a wide range of genres, including spy, mythology, action, western, and folklore

The James Bond of TFI

James Bond movies and western cowboys both had a big influence on Krishna. He is the first performer to bring James Bond and cowboy themes to Telugu films.

Achievements and contributions

Despite making his fortune as one of the most commercially successful actors, he didn’t just limit himself to acting. He worked as a director and producer. As a budding filmmaker and technician, he introduced a number of cutting-edge technologies to Telugu cinema, laying the groundwork for New Age Telugu cinema.

Kishna had two films released in the same month in 1983, "Shakti" and "Praja Rajyam," both of which were box office successes. He also holds the record for releasing two of his films, Iddaru Dongalu and Yuddam, on the same day.

Krishna’s "Alluri Sita Rama Raju" was the first Telugu film to receive a national award for its soundtrack.

Apart from acting, the legendary actor also produced 50 films in 9 languages and directed 12 films. His 1972 film "Pandanti Kapuram" won the national award for best Telugu national film.
