T20WC:  Pakistan reached the finals by trashing the Kiwis

After beating the Kiwis in the semifinals, Pakistan advanced to the finals for the first time in 13 years in a world cup tournament.

Rizwan, the opener, and captain Babar Azam rapidly destroyed the New Zealand bowlers to secure a victory in the semifinals.

The batting and bowling performances of Pakistan were superior to those of New Zealand.

The toss was won by New Zealand, who elected to bat first. However, they had a rough start as opener Finn Allen was bowled out by Shaheen Afridi.

After beating the Kiwis in the semifinals, Pakistan advanced to the finals for the first time in 13 years in a world cup tournament.

Conway (20) attempted to get New Zealand going, but Shadab removed him with a superb direct hit run out.

In the eighth over, Mohammad Nawaz caught Glenn Phillip, who had a great World Cup campaign.

Daryl Mitchell and Kane Williamson have set the innings and built the momentum for the Kiwis. Mitchell got lucky with a run out in the 16th inning.

Shaheen Afridi bowled Kane Williamson (46) in the very next over. That wicket gave Pakistan complete dominance of the game.

On the last ball of the 19th over, Daryl Mitchell reached his half-century.

New Zealand finished the inning with a score of 152-4 after scoring 8 runs in the 20th over.  Among the Pakistani bowlers, Shaheen Afridi took 2 wickets and Nawaz took 1.

On the fourth ball of Boult's first over of the match, Babar Azam was dropped by Devon Conway.

Then, Rizwan and Babar made a 105-run partnership for the first wicket.

New Zealand again dropped Babar’s catch on the first ball of the 10th over. Babar scored his first 50 in this tournament.

In the 13th over, which was bowled by Boult, Mitchell caught Babar. The Kiwis took Pakistan's first wicket when they were at 105.

In the 14th over, Rizwan, another opener, reached his half-century in 36 balls. Later, in the 17th over, Phillips caught him.

In Ferguson's over, Haris struck a six and a four to reduce Pakistan's need from 22 out of 18 to 8 out of 12 balls. But in a rush, he was caught by Santner.

Only 2 runs were needed in the final over for Pakistan to complete the task of chasing down the mark set by New Zealand. Pakistan subsequently earned a spot in the World Cup.

Thus Pakistan advanced to the World Cup final for the first time in 13 years.

If Team India wins against England tomorrow. India would face Pakistan in the finals.
