The Telangana government has introduced a budget of Rs.2,90,396 crore for 2023-24. Finance Minister Harish Rao stated that the revenue expenditure is Rs.2,11,685 and the capital expenditure is Rs.37,325.
Telangana is famous as a prosperous agricultural state, and as such huge funds have been allocated to Agriculture. Finance Minister Harish Rao also assured that the farmer's loan waiver scheme will be launched soon.

An amount of Rs.1000 crore has been allocated for Palm Oil Cultivation with the aim of increasing Palm Oil cultivation to 20 lakh acres in the state, which yields a net income of Rs.1.5 lakh per acre.

1200 check dams, Palamuru-Rangareddy lift Irrigation Project, Khammam Sitarama project, Kaleswaram, etc., are the current irrigation projects in TS state. With the aim of irrigating 1.25Cr acres., Rs.26,885 crores have been allocated.

The government, which gives uninterrupted electricity for 24 hours and provides free electricity to agriculture, has allocated Rs.12,727 crores to the electricity department this time.

Rs.12000 crores have been allocated for Aasara Pensions. Aasara pensions are given to all persons above 57 years of age as well as single women and disabled persons.

For the development of Dalits in Telangana, Rs.17,700 crores have been allocated for the Dalit Bandhu scheme, which was brought with the aim of giving Rs.10 lakhs to each family.

A huge quota of funds has been allocated to SC Pragathi & ST Pragathi schemes. Rs.36,750 crores will be given to the SC Development Fund Act. An allocation of Rs.15,233 crore has been made for the development of ST.

Finance Minister Harish Rao announced in the Assembly that regularization of contract employees and wage revision of SERP employees will be done from April 2023 onwards.
