Rashmika was initially given an opportunity in Sandalwood by Rishab Shetty. She responded that she had not yet watched "Kantara," a new film by Rishab, when questioned about it in an interview. The audience at Sandalwood didn't take well to her remarks.

Finally, in response to the criticism she has received on social media, she states that she has watched Kantara and has offered Rishab and his crew her best wishes. She also noted that owing to her schedule, she was unable to watch it early.

In addition, Rashmika posted  a sentimental remark in response to the personal attacks she faced on social media.

Rashmika claimed during a press conference for her upcoming Hindi film "Mission Majnu" that Bollywood had become synonymous with romantic movies while the South only desired masala flicks.
