In 2022, the Telugu film industry had
a successful year. Hits by Nagarjuna Bangarraju, DJ Tillu, and RRR helped enhance box office collections.
Rajamouli's magnum work RRR, which depicted Ram and Bheem, grossed more than 1000 crores.
Prashant Neel's KGF-2 and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram, both dubbed Telugu films, were well received by the Telugu public. With the theme of travel back in time both Bimbisara and 'Oke Oka Jeevitham,' did a good job at the box office.
'Sitharamam,' a cult great love story, has won a lot of money and accolades. Nikhil stunned Bollywood with Karthikeya 2. The thrillers Adavi Sesh Major and Hit 2 also captivated the audience.

Sitaramam, a love story with a war setting, was a decent hit for director Hanu Raghavapudi. The film, which had a budget of 30 crores, grossed Rs. 91.4 crores and starred Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salmaan.

Sharwanand came with the sentiment of Mother, 'oke oka Jeevitham.' The story of journeying back in time kept the audience interested. It grossed 12 crores on a tiny expenditure of 6 crores.
The film Kartikeya 2 set records not just in Telugu but also in Bollywood. The Hindi version, starring Nikhil, was released in 53 theatres and quickly expanded to 1500 locations due to public demand. It was produced on a budget of Rs. 15 crores and grossed Rs. 120 crores.
