Mohammed Siraj’s   sensational comeback

At the start of his career, Siraj went by the nicknames "Run Machine" and "Karna in Giving Runs." He gave runs freely and received harsh criticism. Siraj is currently the top ODI bowler in the world after overcoming the challenge.

Siraj did not get to where he is now by accident. He was born into an auto driver's family in Hyderabad's historic old city. After his father passed away, he overcame his pain and fought for his father's ambition and desire, which catapulted him to this point.

Siraj's rise to success began in the Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali competitions. Later, after excelling in the local trophies, he was given a spot in the Sunrisers team for the IPL.

Beginning

He did well with 10 wickets in his debut season when he was given the chance to play for the Sunrisers. However, he leaked a lot of runs since the batsmen could predict his line and length with ease.

Siraj was raised in the streets of Hyderabad's old city, where his limited linguistic and conversational skills had a negative impact on his self-confidence, prevented him from speaking easily with other team members, and prevented him from developing his skills.

Siraj joined RCB later in the season. He had the opportunity to play along  with top players like Kohli and de Villiers. He used to leak a lot of runs here as well, which hurt RCB's chances of winning. He only claimed 7 wickets throughout the season, conceding runs at a run rate of 9.5.

Siraj then participated in domestic competitions and matured. In the IPL held in the UAE during Corona, Siraj displayed his true potential.

He was once mocked for being a run machine, but he disproved this notion by setting a record as the only bowler to record two consecutive maidens in IPL

Siraj grew stronger under the leadership of Dale Steyn and Bharat Arun. After rubbing with likes of Virat Kohli, he has become more assertive and confident.

Due to his strong Ranji performance, he was chosen for the Australia tour. Siraj began playing brilliantly in the second Test after India was routed in the first Test.

While on the Australian tour, Siraj lost his father, but he overcame the grief and kept playing. Siraj will never forget Virat Kohli's support for him at that moment. He impressed with the ball with a  5-wicket haul in the last Test in the series which he dedicated to his father.

In a game against Australia in January 2019, he made his ODI debut. He only played only one game and gave away 76 runs. The next time Siraj played for the ODI team was in February 2022.

After his comeback, Siraj never looked back. In just 15 matches in 2022, he got 24 wickets while bowling with great line and length. And all of that with a 4.61 fantastic economy rate.

In each of his last 10 games, Siraj has grabbed at least one wicket. Because of this, he has moved up to the number one bowler in the ODI rankings released by the ICC.

Matches     -  21 Wickets      -   38 Best              -  4/32 Economy    -  4.62
