40 Telugu Candidates passed the UPSC Civil Service Exam

No of candidates registered for the prelims – 10,94,984

No of candidates appeared for the prelims – 5,08,619 (46.49%)

No of candidates advanced to the mains – 9,214 (1.18%)

No of candidates advanced to the interview – 1,824 (19.79%)

No of candidates cracked the interview – 685 (37.55%)

Among the final 685 candidates 508 of them are men and 177 are women.

UPSC Civil Service ranks from Telugu states. 

40 candidates for Telugu states have secured ranks in the civil service examination. 10 of the top 100 ranks are from telugu states.

31-year old Hyderabad resident Priyanwada Madalkar has secured 13 th rank. Priya originally hails from Mumbai but her family settled in Hyderabad. Speaking to Indian Express she said 

 “Technically, this was a second attempt as I appeared for the prelims in 2020. But it was just a couple of months after I registered for the UPSC so I was not completely prepared. My focus anyway was entirely on the next attempt and the hard work has paid off,”

Kurnool resident Yashwanth Kumar Reddy has stood at 15th position. Yashwanth secured all India 93 rank in 2020 assistant commissioner (State Tax) has reappeared to make history.

The achievements of our students have wowed UPSC experts in telugu states. The experts believe that the increase in the number of selected candidates over the previous year is a positive indicator. They further stated that having 40 of our candidates named among the final 685 finalists is a proud achievement and 10 ranks among the top 100 is an incredible feat.
