One day, while going about his usual business, he meets Simran (Gehna Sippy), a dumb woman, and develops feelings for her. On the other hand, Sunil Reddy (Sunil) the minister orders the police to recover the stolen diamond in order to protect his government credibility. What’s the connection between Bachchan Saab, Diamond and Sunil Reddy? Who owns the diamond? Will Bachhan be able to marry Simran? To see these things, you must see the film in a theater.
Analysis:
Chor Bazaar marks director Jeevan Reddy’s comeback to the big screen following the success of “George Reddy.” The director has generated a lot of excitement for this movie, but he fell flat on this one. From the start, the story seems uninteresting with illogical scenes. Even the chemistry between the lead actors was not brought out by the director. The comedians Sunil, Sampoornesh Babu, and Jabardasth did their utmost to save the movie but were unsuccessful. The courtroom sequences don’t make sense. The dialogue and actions of the heroes appear to be beyond his age. The entire movie takes place on a set called Chor Bazaar. The Telangana accent of the nineties seems to be obscure.
Cast:
Aakash Puri’s performance has undoubtedly improved from his earlier films. Gehna Sippy performed admirably. Veteran actress Archana was excellent in her part as the hero’s mother. Sunil, Sampoornesh Babu, and Subbaraju characters had no significant impact on the movie.
Technical Aspects:
There is nothing new in the story. Jeevan Reddy terribly failed to make a commercial entertainer. The background score and music are subpar. The cinematography by Jagdish Chikati is excellent. Editor Anwar Ali could have done a better job.
Pros:
Actor and Actress
Cinematography
Cons:
Story
Screenplay
