August 11,12 & 13 Telugu movie and OTT releases (Updated)

The independence weekend is lined with massive big releases. Nithiin and Nikhil from Tollywood, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar from Bollywood are going head to head for the box office glory. Apart from theatrical releases, many exciting films are set to debut on OTT’s. Take a look.

Laal Singh Chaddha – 11 August

Aamir Khan’s most awaited film, Laal Singh Chaddha, is finally dropping on August 11th. Audiences are excited to see Aamir Khan on screen again after four years of hiatus. This film is an official remake of Tom Hanks’ “Forrest Gump”. Kareena Kapoor Khan played the heroine in this flick. This film is expected to get stunning openings.

Raksha Bandhan (Hindi) – 11 August

Akshay Kumar is set to compete with Aamir Khan for box office supremacy with his film Raksha Bandhan, which is being released on August 11, the same day Aamir’s “Laal Singh Chaddha” will also be released in theaters. Public has a lot of expectations on this Anand L Rai directed flick.

Macherla Niyojakavargam – 12 August

Nitiin’s mass action drama Macherla Niyojakavargam created a good amount of hype among the audience with its every update. Kriti Shetty plays the female lead in this film. Macherla Niyojakavargam is released on August 12. The flick is directed by MS. Raja Shekar Reddy.

Karthikeya 2 – 13 August

Nikhil Siddhartha’s much awaited film ‘Karthikeya-2’ will be released on August 13. This film has massive pre-release buzz, unlike any other Telugu film in recent times. Anupama Parameshwaran is playing the female in this picture.  ‘Karthikeya-2’ is a sequel for 2014 film ‘Karthikeya’. The franchise is directed by Chandoo Mondeti. This flick is releasing in both Telugu and Tamil.

Viruman (Tamil) – 12 August

Karthi took on the Tamil Nadu box-office with his film “Viruman”. The masala-action flick is directed by M.Muttaiah and produced by hero Suriya. Viruman is releasing in theaters on August 12.
