In the presence of Bigg Boss Telugu, actor Sohel, who has captured fame, is making a sincere effort to establish himself in the industry. After the recent success of “Mister Pregnant,” Sohel is back with “Bootcut Balaraju,” which was released on February 2nd in front of the audience. Sohel takes on the role of a producer in this film, while Meghalekh plays the heroine. Sunil, Indraja, and Avinash play significant roles. It is directed by Srinivas Koneti. How is this movie? Did Sohel achieve success? Let’s find out in this review.
Plot:
Bootcut Balaraju (Sohel) roams in his village without any work. The village head’s daughter Mahalakshmi (Meghalekh) has been in love with Balaraju since childhood. Despite some dramatic twists, Balaraju and Mahalakshmi’s love continues to grow. On the other hand, Siri (Siri Hanumanth) also loves Balaraju. What is the problem that arises in the love story of Balaraju and Mahalakshmi? Why does Balaraju want to become Sarpanch? Did he win over Patelamma? Or not? That’s the rest of the story.
How it’s done:
In this movie, Sohel shines as a hyperactive character. He convincingly portrays various emotions. Indraja, as Patelamma, does not have much to do. Heroine Meghalekh has been a bit neglected. Another heroine Siri Hanumanth also performed well. Avinash, Saddam, and others did justice to their roles.
Direction:
Director Koneti Srinu’s narration, especially in the love track between Sohel and Indraja, is good. He introduces the characters well in the first half. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is shown beautifully. However, the dramatic scenes in the second half weaken the film’s impact. The director should have designed the climax and fight scenes better.
Technical Aspects:
In terms of technical aspects, the music by Bhimsi Sisirolio is decent but not outstanding. Background music is crucial in emotional scenes. Editor Vinay Ramaswami has done a commendable job. The cinematography by Gokul Bharathi is good. Production values are high.
Pros:
- Sohel’s and Indraja’s performances
- Comedy
- Music
Cons:
- The plot
- Boring scenes
