Veteran actress Vijaya Shanthi celebrates her 56th birthday today. The legendary actress was born on June 24, 1966, in Madras. She entered the film industry at the age of 14. Her first film was ‘Khiladi Krishna’. With her powerful performances, she earned the titles of ‘Superstar’ and ‘Lady Amitabh’. Vijay Shanthi is the synonym of lady-oriented movies during the 80’s and 90’s. The actress appeared in 187 films over the 40 years of her acting career. Vijaya Shanthi won numerous accolades, including national awards and Nandi Awards. In 2020, after a gap of 13 years, she made her comeback to the movies with Maheshbabu’s film ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’.
