Now, he is set to appear in a series of upcoming films, starting with ‘Devara’ directed by Koratala Siva. The next two years will see him releasing four pan-India films, offering a big treat to his audience. After making noise with ‘Devara’, he will entertain fans with the Bollywood movie ‘War 2′, sharing the screen with star hero Hrithik Roshan. There’s also a sequel, ‘Devara 2’, in NTR’s lineup. Recently, the highly anticipated project ‘NTR 31’ directed by Prashanth Neel was kicked off. This film, expected to be released for Sankranti 2026, is also rumored to include another movie directed by Shouryuv under the ‘Hi Nanna’ banner, which also appears to have pan-India scope. All in all, NTR seems to have planned at least four film releases over the next two years.

The long-awaited project by NTR and Prashanth Neel started on Friday (August 9) with a ceremonial pooja. Observations of the new poster for NTR31 suggest that the film’s plot revolves around an opium mafia narrative set between China and India around 1969. The Kolkata port, being close to the Golden Triangle, was then a hub for opium smuggling. This facilitated frequent skirmishes between the local gangs and the active Chinese mafia in Kolkata. These links reportedly extended all the way to Southeast Asia and even Europe. Currently, there’s strong buzz that Prashanth Neel is shaping the NTR31 project around these points. The film unit needs to provide clarity on these details.

Dual Roles for Tarak!

There’s exciting news about the upcoming ‘NTR 31’ project under the combination of Tarak and Prashanth Neel. According to the buzz, NTR will be performing dual roles. One of the characters is a 75-year-old man, a role he has never played before, while the other character will be that of a mafia don. Mythri Movie Makers are expected to start shooting this film in September, with an official announcement anticipated soon. Currently, Prashanth Neel is busy with the pre-production work.

The Title Decided!

The film NTR 31 is considering an intriguing title, ‘Dragon’, which has been under deliberation for some time. The term ‘Dragon’ in European languages signifies evil, chaos, and the ability to breathe fire, making it a powerful name. Given that Tarak will portray a character with negative shades, this title would perfectly match the film’s intensity. An official announcement regarding the title confirmation is expected very soon.
