Tarak’s latest film, ‘Devara‘, has achieved solid success at the box office, amassing over ₹400 crores in just a week and continuing its strong performance in theaters. Following the success of this movie, all eyes are on Tarak’s next project. Currently working on ‘War 2‘ in Bollywood, Jr NTR is set to soon start ‘NTR 31‘ with director Prashanth Neel. There’s a strong buzz about this upcoming project. However, according to the latest updates, Tarak has agreed to another exciting project, rumored to be with a prominent Tamil director.
“Pan-India Film with ‘Jailer’ Director!”
It is reported that Jr NTR, the ‘Man of Masses’, has given the green light to another ambitious project. He will be working with Nelson Dilipkumar, the Tamil star director known for successful films like ‘Doctor‘, ‘Beast‘, and ‘Jailer‘. The story pitched by Nelson has reportedly captivated Tarak, and there’s a strong buzz within film circles about this. Plans are being made to produce this as a pan-India film, with an official announcement expected soon. Nelson’s reputation has soared pan-India, especially after the hits ‘Beast’ and ‘Jailer’, the latter featuring Rajinikanth in a compelling role. Fans are already speculating that a movie with such a director could break records.
Hold Until 2026!
Even though an official announcement regarding the Tarak-Nelson Dilip Kumar project might be forthcoming, the film isn’t expected to start shooting anytime soon. Currently, Tarak is busy with pending shoots for ‘War 2’ and is about to start ‘NTR 31’. Nelson is also preparing to begin shooting ‘Jailer 2’ once Rajinikanth completes his ongoing project. Given their busy schedules, it might take longer for this project to commence. Film circles estimate that the movie might only go on floors by 2026. Meanwhile, Tarak recently openly expressed his willingness to work with Tamil director Vetrimaaran, hinting at potential future collaborations.
Our Strength is Him: Tarak
At the success meet of ‘Devara’ held last Friday, Tarak made some interesting comments. He showered praise on his brother-in-law Harikrishna, emphasizing his often unnoticed but fundamental role. “Hari always stays in the background; many don’t understand him because he doesn’t come forward to speak about himself. Regardless of what anyone says or thinks, Hari is the cornerstone of NTR Arts. To Kalyan and me, Hari is our strength. Those who appreciate this will understand; others don’t need to,” Tarak stated.
Jr NTR as a Farmer from Bangladesh!
Under Prashanth Neel’s direction, the upcoming ‘NTR 31’, co-produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, has been creating a buzz in Tollywood. This period action drama is set to portray Tarak as a farmer, with the story unfolding against a Bangladeshi backdrop. It’s said that the young man, living a simple life as a farmer, becomes involved in extraordinary events that lead to a significant struggle for the locals. Prashanth Neel plans to showcase Tarak in two distinct variations, promising a level of characterization and performance that surpasses his previous roles.
Has the Heroine Been Decided?
Director Prashanth Neel is currently deep into pre-production work for ‘NTR 31’, focusing on casting. There’s talk of Rashmika Mandanna being considered to star opposite Tarak, which would mark their first film together if it materializes. The director aims to release ‘NTR 31’ as a Sankranthi gift in 2026 and is planning to start shooting soon. Ravi Basrur will be composing the music, with Bhuvan Gowda taking on the cinematography responsibilities for the film.
