Movie Review : ‘First Day, First Show’

    September 2, 2022

Anudeep KV requires no introduction,  the filmmaker behind “Jati Ratnalu,” a comedy-filled blockbuster with a convoluted plot. He penned the tale for the film “First Day, First Show.” With their extensive array of promotions, this film greatly increased interest in the film. Will Audeep and his team impress the audience this time? Let’s find out.

    Movie: First Day First Show

Director: Vamsidhar Goud, Lakshmi Narayana Puttamshetty

Starring: Srikanth Reddy, Sanchita Basu, Vennela Kishore, Tanikella Bharani etc.

    Music: Radhan

    Producers: Sreeja, Sreeram

    Story:

The story takes place in 2001, the year that Pawan Kalyan’s movie “Kushi” hits theaters. Srinivas has a special fondness for the actor Pawan Kalyan. He also has a love story. His girl requests first-day-first-show tickets for the Pawan Kalyan movie “Kushi.” Srinivas goes to get tickets at whatever cost in an effort to win her love. He has the tickets, right? Is he winning his girl’s love? The rest of the film runs on this questions.

    Analysis

Anudeep attempted to apply the same strategy used for “Jati Ratnalu”. It implies that, for the most part, the plot proceeds illogically. Naveen Polishetty has been the xfactor of ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ but that xfactor clear lacks in this film. Anudeep has incorporated a potent masala called “Pawan Kalyan” into this dish. Fans of Powerstar will rejoice since Pawan Kalyan’s frenzy will be featured throughout the entire movie. The tunes bring back memories of earlier times. The theatre scenes are captured in a really authentic way. It signifies that they evoke memories of the past.

Vennela Kishore excels in the opening stanza. Tanikella Bharani, Srinivas Reddy, and Mahesh all provided terrific humour in line with their characters. The audience is entertained by some decent humour in the first half. However, the movie drags on a lot in the second part. Furthermore, a lot of people find the conventional love narrative to be dull. The production values and music feel average.

    Pros:

    First Half

    Pawan Kalyan reference

    Vennela Kishore

    Cons:

    Passable Storyline

    Mediocre performances

    Second half

    Rating : 2/5
