Movies releasing in Theaters / OTT this week ( Sep 22)

While this week (September 18-24) might feel quiet in the theaters, you won’t miss out on the action thanks to OTTs. Were you eagerly awaiting “Salar”? We too! Unfortunately, due to some technical hiccups, its release got bumped to November. This week we don’t have any big movie releases in theaters, but hang tight next week “Skanda” is hitting theaters on September 28, and “Peddha Kapu: Part 1” is hot on its heels. In the meantime, there are about 20 films making their debut on streaming platforms. There is a drop in OTT film releases as well. Out of this week’s offerings, keep an eye out for “Athithi”, “King of Kotha”, “Fast X”, and “Jaane Jaane”. Here’s a quick peek at what’s streaming between September 18-24:

Athidhi (Telugu Series)

Tune into Disney Hotstar to catch the latest series, “Athidhi”. Ever wondered what can unfold in a single night? This series explores just that. Under the guidance of showrunner Praveen Sattaru and directed by Bharat Y.G., you’ll see Venu Thottempudi and Avantika Mishra in pivotal roles.

King of Kotha

Hold onto your seats for Dulquer Salmaan’s “King of Kotha” hitting Disney Plus Hotstar on September 22. Directed by the talented Abhilash Joshi, this film was awaited by fans across the country. Word on the street? The response has been mixed.

Jaane Jaan

Brace yourself for a suspenseful ride with “Jaane Jaan”, starring Kareena Kapoor and Vijay Verma. This mystery thriller, directed by Sujay Ghoi, will keep you on the edge. Don’t miss it on Netflix starting September 21.
