Starring Sree Vishnu, Priyadarshi, and Rahul Ramakrishna in the lead roles, the latest movie ‘Om Bheem Bush’ is directed by Sri Harsha Konuganti. Touted as a comedy entertainer, this film has arrived amid much anticipation. But did it manage to impress the audience? What kind of ruckus did these three cause? Let’s find out in this review.

    What’s the Story About?

Krish (Sree Vishnu), Vinay (Priyadarshi), and Madhav (Rahul Ramakrishna) are good friends who live life carelessly engaging in silly activities. In the course of events, amidst some dramatic developments, these three step into a village called Bhairavapuram. How did these three end up becoming scientists? How did the village change them? Why did they step into the fort haunted by the Sampangi ghost? What connection does Krish have with the ghost? What experiences did these Big Bang Brothers face upon entering the fort? And how did Krish’s love story with Jalajaakshi (Preethi Asrani) unfold? That forms the rest of the story.

    How Did They Perform?

The comedy delivered by Sree Vishnu, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Priyadarshi is the main strength of the movie. Their comedic timing in many scenes brought strength to the narrative. The heroines, Preethi Asrani and Ayesha Khan, though their roles are limited, Ayesha Khan managed to attract with her glamor. Priya Vadlamani also made her presence felt with a special song. Racha Ravi, Aditya Menon, Srikanth Iyengar performed well within the scope of their roles. Other actors in various roles also managed to grab attention with their performances.

    How’s the Direction?

Similar to ‘Jathi Ratnalu’, director Sri Harsha Konuganti mixed a crazy journey of three friends with horror comedy. The interactions between Sree Vishnu, Priyadarshi, and Rahul Ramakrishna are hilariously executed. The first half of the movie revolves around the A to Z services they undertake in the village and the comedy woven around it. The second half is centered around the Sampangi palace. The storyline involving the Sampangi ghost and the climax scenes are appealing. However, the opening scenes and some in the second half like dating the ghost didn’t leave much impact. Overall, the director successfully blended old themes with comedy, providing a fresh feel to the narrative.

    Technically Speaking

Technically, the film’s crew did a good job. Sunny MR’s music is a plus point for the movie. Raj Thota’s cinematography is another highlight. Editor Vijay Vardhan Kavuri’s editing is apt for the film’s pace. The production values maintained by producers Sunil Balusu and V Celluloid are commendable.

    Plus Points

    – Performances by Sree Vishnu, Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna

    – Comedy

    – Climax scenes

    Minus Points

    – Routine story

    – Some drag in the first half
