When it comes to the best on-screen pair in Tollywood, Prabhas and Anushka often top the list. Their chemistry has garnered a dedicated fan base, with fans frequently posting on social media wishing for them to get married. Though such rumors circulated for some time, they were eventually dismissed as unfounded. Currently, Prabhas is busy with Raja Saab while Anushka, also known as “Sweety,” is occupied with her film Ghaati. Recently, special posters were released on Prabhas’ birthday for Raja Saab and on Anushka’s birthday for Ghaati, sparking online discussions as fans noticed striking similarities between the two posters.
With a Cigar in Hand…
In Ghaati, where Anushka plays the female lead, she is shown in a rugged, intense look with blood on her face, smoking a cigar, surrounded by smoke. Interestingly, Prabhas’ recent Raja Saab poster also depicted him in a similar getup, holding a cigar in his mouth with a smoky effect. Fans have taken to social media, placing both posters side by side and tagging them as “King and Queen,” calling for a new film featuring the two together.
A Fierce Anushka
On Thursday morning, the makers of Ghaati released the first look of Anushka’s character, followed by a solid teaser in the evening. Unlike her previous films, Anushka appears more violent and intense, shown mercilessly decapitating someone while looking in a bus mirror. In the teaser, she is seen calmly smoking a cigar with blood-covered hands after the brutal act. This powerful role brings back memories of her impactful performances in films like Vedam and Arundhati, where she showcased her ability to take on strong, intense roles.
All Hopes Pinned on Ghaati
Anushka, once a leading star in the industry, is currently facing challenges in her career, with fewer opportunities alongside major stars. Although her recent film Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty received positive feedback, it didn’t achieve the kind of success fans expected for her. Therefore, Ghaati is a crucial project for Anushka as she aims to re-establish her position in the industry. Similarly, Ghaati’s director Krish is also relying on this project for a comeback after the shelving of Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
Prabhas’ Upcoming Projects
Prabhas currently has a packed lineup of pan-India projects. Along with Raja Saab, he is working with Sandeep Reddy Vanga on Spirit, Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2, Prashanth Neel’s Salaar 2, and Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauji. He also has a special role in Manchu Vishnu’s ambitious project Kannappa. Recently, Prasanth Varma, known for HanuMan, reportedly narrated a story to Prabhas that he was highly interested in. Furthermore, discussions are ongoing for projects with Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Bollywood’s Rajkumar Hirani. With these diverse ventures, Prabhas’ career is on an unstoppable rise.
