Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ is among the frontrunners for ‘Best International Feature film’ at the Oscars 2023

SS. Rajamouli’s creative wonder ‘RRR’ is still winning the hearts of western audiences.  The epic action drama from Tollywood has been the most popular foreign film on Netflix for more than a month, and due to popular demand, it has been re-released in numerous American theaters. Many eminent filmmakers from around the world have praised “RRR.” James Gunn and Marvel director Scott Derrickson recently praised this movie.

For Indian filmmakers, the Oscars have been a difficult route. There have been a few Indian movies nominated for these coveted prizes, however they were not successful. Due to “RRR’s” incredible global success, Indian cinema’s long-awaited triumph appears promising this year. Many Indian cinema experts and industry observers believe that Ram Charan and Jr. NTR starrer would undoubtedly receive an Oscar nomination for best foreign film. In their post on the top international feature film predictions, “Indiewire,” a well-known American independent cinema publishing media source, featured “RRR.” According to Indiewire, “RRR” is one among the front-runners for best foreign feature film at the Oscars 2023.
