While working from home, he spends enjoyable times with his childhood friends, Hari and Subbu. During this period, he falls in love with Pallavi (Nayan Sarika) from a neighboring village. Pallavi, who is very active on social media and cares deeply about caste, initially likes Karthik believing he is from the same caste. When she discovers he is from a different caste, she distances herself and agrees to an arranged marriage. Karthik finds it hard to cope with this. Narne Nithiin in the role of Karthik was captivating. This role, compared to his first film, offered more scope for acting, and his maturity is evident in his expressions and dialogue delivery. He was also impressed with his dance skills. Nayan Sarika, as Pallavi, charmed with her beauty and performance, perfectly portraying a girl from the Godavari region. The comedy delivered by Raj Kumar Kasireddy and Ankith Koya in their roles as friends highlighted the film, particularly Kasireddy’s performance, which is memorable. Though director Anji chose a familiar story, the way he presented it is appealing. The backdrop of Amalapuram, the innocence and warmth in the people, and the bonds of childhood friends all these elements are well-blended into the narrative. The film picks up pace when the three friends reunite, and from the moment Karthik falls in love, the movie becomes more entertaining. The efforts and troubles his friends undergo to help with his love life bring laughs. The director managed to introduce a twist in the straightforward storyline to make the second half more interesting. He also delivered a good message by involving the elders of both families in the second half. The twist in the climax is surprising. However, the routine story, a love track dominated by comedy, and some illogical scenes are drawbacks of the movie.







Technically Speaking



Technically, the cinematography by Sameer Kalyani is a significant plus for the movie. His camera work showcasing the surroundings of Amalapuram and the rural setting is impressive. Regarding music, the songs breathe life into the film, with Ram Miriyala’s Sufi song being particularly enchanting. Prominent directors and producers in Tollywood are adopting a new trend by announcing release dates even before the completion of movie shootings. Due to delays and other issues during production, they often have to quickly announce new dates if they fail to release on the initially promised date. This practice of locking dates in advance for big-budget movies is reportedly causing issues for smaller films and tier-2 heroes. Natural Star Nani has responded strongly to this issue, which has become a hot topic in the industry.



'That attitude is not correct'



It is natural for films to be postponed. Reasons such as adjustments of actor dates, VFX delays, and other shooting delays often lead to postponements. However, the frequency of delays has increased recently. Nani has made fiery comments about the practice of announcing release dates without certainty and then postponing them. During promotions for "Saripodhaa Sanivaaram," he addressed this issue, stating, "Announcing a release date without clarity harms many. We should set a date only if the movie is ready; otherwise, we should wait. This attitude of announcing a date and then changing it isn’t right." These comments have sparked significant discussion within Tollywood, with both industry insiders and netizens supporting Nani’s views.







Warning to 'Pushpa 2' Team?



Nani did not specifically mention any film in his latest comments, but industry circles are discussing that he was referring to the 'Pushpa 2' team. Reportedly, Nani's "Saripodhaa Sanivaaram" was initially targeted for an August 15 release at the beginning of its production. However, since Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' had already locked that date, the "Saripodhaa" team had to reschedule for late August (August 29). Unexpectedly, the 'Pushpa 2' team moved their release to December 6, releasing a special poster to announce it. This shift allowed other films like "Double iSmart," "Mr. Bachchan," "Thangalaan," and "Aay" to move their schedules to August 15. Considering this, Nani had to bring his film on August 29. The timing of 'Pushpa 2' locking August 15 initially led to the loss of a long weekend for "Saripodhaa Sanivaaram," prompting speculation that Nani's comments were an indirect warning to them.







Run Time Fixed for Nani’s Movie!



Nani's latest film "Saripodhaa Sanivaaram," directed by Vivek Athreya, is set to release on Thursday, August 29. Priyanka Arul Mohan stars as the heroine. The film has recently completed its censor formalities and has reportedly received a U/A certification. S.J. Suryah, who plays the villain, revealed that the runtime has been fixed at 2 hours and 50 minutes. Plot

Performance



There's nothing new to say about Rao Ramesh's acting; he perfectly embodied the character of Subramanyam throughout the film, utilizing his extensive experience. His son, played by Ankith, was quite captivating. After last week's 'Aay', he has impressed again in this film, and his antics provide a good dose of laughter. Ramya Pasupuleti, who played Kanchana, didn’t have much scope for acting but made a notable attempt at glamor. Indraja's role was limited; apart from being emotional in the beginning and dancing at the end, there wasn’t much for her. Other characters like Praveen, Harshavardhan, and Annapurnamma were satisfactory.







Direction



The director, Lakshman Karya, has woven the narrative around the unemployment struggles of a middle-aged man belonging to the middle class. His incorporation of natural scenarios with a touch of humor has been successful. The sudden change in Subramanyam's demeanor once money is deposited into his account, and the ensuing antics are the highlights. The second part of the movie, revolving around the problems after spending the money, is well-directed. Although predictable, Rao Ramesh’s timing and humor elevate the film. The plot twists in the climax add intrigue, but Ankith’s love track and some illogical scenes and unfunny comedy bits are downsides.







Technically...



On the technical front, every department has performed well. The cinematography is notably colorful, and the songs are pleasant to listen to. The background score effectively elevates the scenes. Editing is also decent. The production values appear quite rich.
