Nandamuri Family's Support for Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Vishwak Sen: A Strategic Move in Tollywood?
Nandamuri Family's Support for Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Vishwak Sen: A Strategic Move in Tollywood?
Among the young Telugu heroes who have gained a good following among the youth, Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Vishwak Sen are at the forefront. Both these young heroes are currently riding high with a series of successes. Interestingly, they are receiving significant support from the Nandamuri family. Balakrishna and Junior NTR have been actively encouraging these young heroes, drawing attention by participating in their film promotions. While it is common for senior actors to support young talents in the industry, there seems to be a strong reason behind why Tarak and Balayya are backing Siddhu and Vishwak specifically. Let’s delve into the reasons behind this in this article. Getting Close to the Young Heroes Megastar Chiranjeevi has always been at the forefront in encouraging young actors. Now, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Junior NTR have joined this list. They are supporting young actors like Vishwak Sen and Siddhu Jonnalagadda. Recently, as part of a promotional event, Tarak conducted a special interview with these two heroes, along with director Koratala Siva. The interview garnered a lot of hype. Earlier, Tarak attended the success meet of a film starring Siddhu as the chief guest, where Vishwak was also present. Tarak created a buzz by taking photos with both of them. Recently, Balakrishna also met these two heroes, and they donated the amount they had announced for Vijayawada flood relief together with Balayya. Earlier, during the pre-release event of another film, Balakrishna praised Vishwak, calling them twins. Whenever there’s an opportunity, Tarak and Balayya are always seen supporting Siddhu and Vishwak. Is There a Master Plan? With many young heroes in the industry like Vijay Deverakonda, Adivi Sesh, Naveen Polishetty, Nikhil, and Kiran Abbavaram, there are speculations on why Balakrishna and Tarak are encouraging only Vishwak and Siddhu. There’s talk in the film circles that the industry is currently divided into two camps – Mega and Non-Mega. The Mega family has over half a dozen heroes, many of whom openly declare their admiration for Megastar. With this in mind, it seems the Nandamuri family is trying to create a group of their own by encouraging the upcoming stars like Vishwak and Siddhu, who have publicly expressed their admiration for the Nandamuri family several times, especially their fondness for Tarak. Tarak and Balakrishna appear to be keen on supporting them to form a group of their own. Competing with Allu Arjun! Allu Arjun has been supporting Vijay Deverakonda and his brothers right from the beginning. Their bond started with the film "Arjun Reddy" and has continued since then. Last year, Bunny attended the promotion event of a movie produced by Vijay’s brother. During a controversy involving the film "Baby," where Vishwak was caught in the middle, Allu Arjun’s indirect comments reportedly put a lot of pressure on Vishwak. However, with Tarak’s support, Vishwak managed to get through the issue. While Tarak and Bunny share a good friendship, it seems they are forming their own groups by supporting different young heroes individually, according to film analysts. Vishwak and Siddhu’s Upcoming Projects Vishwak is currently busy with two films. He is working on "Mechanic Rocky" directed by Raviteja Mullapudi, where Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead. The film is shaping up to be a comedy-action entertainer, with its second song recently released. Vishwak is also acting in the film "Laila," directed by Ramnarayan, where he will be seen playing a female role. Apart from these, he is set to start projects "VS13" and "VS14" soon. On the other hand, Siddhu Jonnalagadda has three exciting projects lined up. He is working on "Jack" and "Telusu Kada." After these, "Tillu Cube" will also go on the sets.

Nani and Vijay Deverakonda: Battling Nepotism in Tollywood's Tier 2
Nani and Vijay Deverakonda: Battling Nepotism in Tollywood's Tier 2
Nepotism has always been a hot topic in the film industry. Following the tragic demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the debate around nepotism intensified. There's a widespread belief that nepotism bars opportunities for outsiders as industry heirs dominate the space. Nepotism has become commonplace, and Tollywood is no exception. It's often said that, after Bollywood, our industry has a high number of heroes from film families, leaving actors like Nani, Vijay Deverakonda, Nithiin, Adivi Sesh, Sharwanand, and Gopichand categorized as 'Tier 2' heroes. But how much truth is there to this? Are they truly unable to succeed because of nepotism? Let's find out in this special report. What Exactly is 'Tier 2'? Generally, in every industry, actors are classified into two or three tiers based on their popularity. In Tollywood, names like Prabhas, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, and Balakrishna are considered 'Tier 1' heroes. They create a festive atmosphere in theaters upon the release of their films, recovering about 30% to 50% of the budget on the first day itself due to their massive fan following. Tier 2 heroes, as previously mentioned, including Nani, Vijay Deverakonda, Nithiin, Ram Pothineni, Naga Chaitanya, and Gopichand, may lag slightly behind in terms of remuneration, fan base, and budget of the films. Despite competing with top-tier heroes and being active in the industry, their films' collections tend to be limited. Unseen by Star Directors! Star directors like Rajamouli, Trivikram, Sukumar, and Koratala Siva prefer working with top-tier heroes, which, fans argue, does injustice to stars like Vijay Deverakonda and Nani. The exclusion by star directors reportedly prevents these actors from achieving pan-Indian success. Even though they release films with new directors at a pan-India level, they don't achieve the expected results. Hero Nani faced this with his project 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,' planned for a pan-India release but still not released in Hindi. Fans suggest that despite having talent, the lack of star power beyond Tollywood is a disadvantage for Nani. Are Stories Failing Too? A great cast cannot save a film if the story fails. Whether a film is a success or a failure largely depends on the story. Fans are questioning whether 'Tier 2' heroes are choosing their scripts wisely. Recent films like Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart', Ravi Teja's 'Mr Bachchan', Nithiin's 'Extraordinary Man', and Gopichand's 'Rambanam' have left fans puzzled over why these actors accepted these projects. With big scripts mostly going to top-tier heroes, 'Tier 2' actors have to settle for what's left, some commentators feel. Nepotism vs Talent! The notion that only heirs in the film industry can succeed is a myth. If that were true, every offspring from major film families would become a star hero. No matter the background, without acting talent, longevity in the industry is impossible, as many heirs have demonstrated. Actors like Nani, Vijay Deverakonda, Ravi Teja, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Adivi Sesh, and Naveen Polishetty have made their mark without any significant background, solely based on their talent. A significant success for Nani could propel him to 'Tier 1', fueling speculations among fans. The Fault Lies in the Audience! In a past interview, actors Rana and Nani made interesting comments about nepotism. Rana highlighted the unseen pressures and responsibilities that come with inheritance, stating that nepotism only helps to an extent, and without talent, one cannot survive in the industry. Nani, addressing the role of nepotism in cinema, mentioned that it's not industry insiders but the audience that fosters nepotism. He pointed out the disparity in audience size between his debut and that of actor Charan, questioning the audience's role in perpetuating nepotism.

Diverse and Bold: Young Telugu Heroes Redefining Cinema with Unique Script Choices
Diverse and Bold: Young Telugu Heroes Redefining Cinema with Unique Script Choices
Telugu cinema's young heroes are being particularly careful with their choice of scripts, showing interest only if the story offers something new. Otherwise, they unhesitatingly reject routine stories, setting an example that even veterans like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Ravi Teja, Ram Pothineni, Nithiin, and Gopichand could take note of. Young actor Suhas is soon to appear in a unique story titled 'Gorre Puranam'. This backdrop has reignited discussions about the innovative subjects young heroes are choosing. Who are these young heroes bringing new stories to life? What movies have they done? Let's delve into this special report. Suhas Starting with minor roles in the industry, Suhas became famous almost overnight with the movie 'Colour Photo'. Building on the fame from his short films, he seized opportunities in cinema. He earned good recognition from the audience by acting in diverse films like 'Writer Padmabhushan', 'Ambajipeta Marriage Band', 'Sriranga Neethulu', and 'Prasanna Vadanam'. Moreover, he made an impact as a villain in the movie 'HIT 2'. Recently, he's gearing up to present another novel subject with 'Gorrepuranam', releasing this Friday (September 20). Teja Sajja Starting as a child actor, Teja Sajja transitioned to a lead role with 'Zombie Reddy'. Despite his first film establishing him as hero material, subsequent diverse films like 'Ishq' and 'Adbhutham' did not earn much fame. However, he achieved a solid hit nationally with 'Hanuman', directed by Prasanth Varma. This success resonated well, enhancing Teja Sajja's reputation. Currently, he's involved in another pan-India film titled 'Miraya', where Manchu Manoj plays the villain. The already released teaser of 'Miraya' has raised expectations. Nikhil Siddhartha Nikhil Siddhartha grabbed everyone’s attention with 'Happy Days'. Post that film, he continued to captivate the youth with solo hero films. His journey includes significant roles in films like 'Swamy Ra Ra', 'Karthikeya', 'Surya vs Surya', 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada', and 'Karthikeya 2', establishing him as a reliable hero. Currently, he's part of the historical film 'Swayambhu', produced by Ram Charan, and also 'Karthikeya 3' is in his lineup. Vishwak Sen Vishwak Sen, known among the youth as a mass hero, has been careful to ensure diversity in his films from the start. His initial movie 'Vellipomakey' didn't make a big splash, but 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' brought him significant youth following. Following that, 'Falaknuma Das', a mass action drama, secured another success. His roles in 'HIT', 'Paagal', 'Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam', 'Ori Devuda', 'Das Ka Dhamki', 'Gaami', and 'Gangs of Godavari' further cemented his status as a star in Telugu cinema. Currently, he's involved in 'Mechanic Rocky' and 'Laila', where his appearance in a lady getup in 'Laila' is noteworthy. Adivi Sesh Adivi Sesh initially appeared in a minor role in the movie 'Sontham' led by Aryan Rajesh. His breakout role as a hero was in 'Karma'. He gained recognition as a villain in Pawan Kalyan’s 'Panjaa'. With important roles in 'Run Raja Run', 'Baahubali', and a series of diverse films like 'Kshanam', 'Goodachari', 'Evaru', 'Major', and 'HIT 2', Adivi Sesh transformed into a reputable hero. Especially with 'Major', his market reach significantly expanded. He's currently working on the sequel to 'Goodachari', expected to be a pan-India release, poised to further boost his career if successful. Siddhu Jonnalagadda Starting with a role in Naga Chaitanya’s debut 'Josh', Siddhu Jonnalagadda didn't see much career growth despite diverse roles in movies like 'Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu', 'Orange', and 'Guntur Talkies'. However, he struck blockbuster success with 'DJ Tillu', and its sequel continued this trend. The sequel, 'Tillu Square', notably grossed ₹135 crore. He is currently acting in 'Jack' and 'Telusu Kada', with 'Tillu Cube' also in the pipeline. Narne Nithiin Junior NTR’s brother-in-law, Narne Nithiin made his debut with the youthful entertainer 'MAD', which was a success at the box office and connected well with the youth due to its college backdrop. His subsequent film 'Aay', set in a village backdrop, showcased his diversity and was also successful. After a subdued presence in 'MAD', Nithiin’s performance in 'Aay' was much improved, excelling in acting, dance, and comedy, and effectively conveying emotions.
