Ravi Teja: How Did He Win Over Balakrishna's Fans with the 'Aavesham' Remake?
Ravi Teja: How Did He Win Over Balakrishna's Fans with the 'Aavesham' Remake?
Among the stars of Tollywood, Ravi Teja is known as the 'Mass Maharaja'. Having delivered blockbusters such as 'Idiot', 'Bhadra', 'Venky', 'Vikramarkudu', 'Kick', 'Mirapakay', 'Power', 'Bengal Tiger', and 'Raja The Great', Ravi Teja hasn't been seen much in recent years. Although his recent films 'Dhamaka' and 'Eagle' seemed promising, they failed to deliver the level of success expected of Ravi Teja's caliber. His latest, 'Mr. Bachchan', also faced a dismal failure. Given his string of flops, it appears that the Mass Maharaja is taking a daring step by getting ready to remake a successful Malayalam movie. Ravi Teja in the Remake of 'Aavesham'! The Malayalam film 'Aavesham', directed by Jeethu Madhavan and featuring Fahadh Faasil in the lead, was an action-comedy that released this year and achieved great success, grossing over ₹150 crores at the box office. There has been talk in Tollywood about remaking this film in Telugu for some time. According to the latest buzz, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has acquired the remake rights of this film. Ravi Teja's acquisition of the rights has led to widespread speculation that he will star in the remake himself, to be produced under his own production company. An official announcement may also be coming soon, exciting Ravi Teja's fans. Choosing Over Balakrishna... There were rumors that Nandamuri Balakrishna would star in remake 'Aavesham' in Telugu, as Fahadh Faasil's role seemed a good fit for him. Balakrishna's fans even counted the film as one of his future projects. However, unexpectedly, Ravi Teja secured the project instead, charming Balakrishna's fans. Yet, Balakrishna's fans also say that Fahadh Faasil's role suits Ravi Teja well and believe that he will do justice to the various shades of the character. The question of who will direct this intriguing remake is currently generating much interest. Struggling to Overcome the Flop Streak! Ravi Teja, who once entertained fans with hit films, is now struggling with a series of flops. Of his last ten films, only one ('Krack') was a hit, and two others ('Dhamaka' and 'Eagle') received average feedback. The remaining seven were outright failures at the box office. The less said about 'Mr. Bachchan', the better, as it drew significant criticism and trolling for Ravi Teja. Critics have pointed out that he is not choosing age-appropriate roles and seems more interested in romantic scenes with much younger actresses. These criticisms have led Ravi Teja to decide that he must achieve a hit somehow and believes that remaking the successful Malayalam movie 'Aavesham' would be a safe bet. Will 'Aavesham' Be a Good Fit? 'Aavesham' presents a unique story where three college students seek help from a local gangster, Ranga (Fahadh Faasil), to deal with their seniors. As the plot unfolds, Ranga forms a bond with the students, but complications arise due to his character, leading to an intriguing situation. Fahadh Faasil's characterization is a special attraction in this story. Given that the character suits senior actors well, initially, Balakrishna's name came up. Now that Ravi Teja's name has emerged, many wonder how he will fit into this role. There's no doubt that Ravi Teja can handle it, as the role demands a mix of comedy, action, and aggression, all of which he can deliver convincingly.

Bharateeyudu 3 Heading Straight to OTT: Can Shankar and Kamal Haasan Bounce Back After 'Bharateeyudu 2' Flop?
Bharateeyudu 3 Heading Straight to OTT: Can Shankar and Kamal Haasan Bounce Back After 'Bharateeyudu 2' Flop?
The film 'Bharateeyudu', which featured the successful combo of Kamal Haasan and director Shankar, created a sensation in the past. Its sequel 'Bharateeyudu 2' was released on July 12 this year amidst high pan-India expectations but unexpectedly ended up as a disaster. The film drastically failed to meet the audience's expectations. However, during the climax of this film, director Shankar confirmed the coming of 'Bharateeyudu 3' with a special trailer. Recently, there’s buzzing excitement around the third part, with rumors suggesting it’s heading directly to OTT. Let’s try to find out the truth. ‘Bharateeyudu 3’ Heading Straight to OTT! Another film under the direction of Shankar, starring Kamal Haasan, 'Bharateeyudu 3' is in continuation of their previous successful ventures. The second part, released in July this year, failed to win the audience's favor, leading to theatrical issues for the third installment. There seems to be reluctance from theater groups to take a risk on it. In this context, makers are preparing to directly release the third part on OTT, as is strongly circulated in Kollywood circles. However, netizens comment that releasing a film by Shankar and Kamal Haasan, who have a pan-India reputation, directly on OTT could be seen as a disgrace. Confirmed by OTT Circles! It's confirmed by Netflix circles that 'Bharateeyudu 3' will definitely be coming to OTT. There's a chance it will be streaming by January 2025, likely as a treat for Sankranti. An official announcement is expected soon. Meanwhile, 'Bharateeyudu 2', despite its flop talk in theaters, streamed on Netflix but failed to achieve expected viewership levels. Due to this, it’s rumored that the OTT rights for 'Bharateeyudu 3' might sell for a lower price. Harsh Trolls for 'Bharateeyudu 2'! In 'Bharateeyudu 2', Kamal Haasan appeared as a 106-year-old man, which brought significant trolling for the unrealistic portrayal of such an aged person performing action sequences. Critics pointed out that the plot and narrative of 'Bharateeyudu 2' were poor, and it did not resemble a typical Shankar film. Will a Game Changer Save the Day? The film 'Bharateeyudu 2' directed by Shankar was a massive disappointment. Following underperformances of Shankar's earlier films like 'Robo 2.0', 'I', and 'Snehitudu' at the box office, there's a pressing need for a game-changer to revive his success streak. The success of this movie could potentially reestablish Shankar’s fame at a pan-India level, while failure might put his career at risk. Similarly, for producer Dil Raju, this game-changer is crucial to recover from past losses incurred under the 'Family Star' banner.

Bharateeyudu 2 Day 1 Collections: Unexpected Shock for ‘Bharateeyudu 2’, Significant Drop in Collections!
Bharateeyudu 2 Day 1 Collections: Unexpected Shock for ‘Bharateeyudu 2’, Significant Drop in Collections!
The film 'Bharateeyudu 2', directed by Shankar and starring Kamal Haasan, came with high expectations due to the blockbuster success of its predecessor, 'Bharateeyudu'. Released globally on Friday, July 12, the film failed to meet audience expectations and received mixed reviews on its opening day. Disappointed by the film, some netizens expressed their dissatisfaction on social media platforms. How did 'Bharateeyudu 2' perform in terms of day one collections? And how did the mixed reviews impact its earnings? Let's explore. Day 1 Collections: The negative reviews for 'Bharateeyudu 2' seem to have impacted its first-day collections significantly. According to trade sources, the film grossed Rs. 25.6 crores on its opening day, with the Tamil version alone contributing Rs. 16.5 crores. In Telugu, it earned Rs. 7.9 crores, and in Hindi, a mere Rs. 1.2 crores. Trade analysts pointed out that the film failed to captivate the Hindi-speaking audience, resulting in notably poor collections in the north. Additionally, the Telugu audience also showed limited interest in the movie, as noted by film analysts. A Significant Drop in Collections! Compared to Kamal Haasan’s previous film 'Vikram', which earned Rs. 60 crores on its opening day, 'Bharateeyudu 2' saw a substantial drop in day one collections. Even his recent antagonist role in 'Kalki 2898 AD', which debuted with more than Rs. 190 crores, and director Shankar’s last film 'Robo 2.0', which grossed Rs. 93 crores on its first day, outperformed 'Bharateeyudu 2'. It is noteworthy that 'Indian 2' did not even come close to these films in terms of first-day earnings, baffling trade analysts. Why the Decline in Revenue? Film analysts believe the main reason for the disappointing first-day collections of 'Bharateeyudu 2' is its failure to meet expectations. An outdated story and a weak screenplay significantly harmed the film. Although the social message added some strength, the lack of the father-daughter sentiment, a key element in the original 'Bharateeyudu', was a major drawback. The songs also failed to impress, contributing to the negative impact on the movie. Netizens also posted extensively about their disappointment, suggesting that these factors likely led to the poor box office performance of 'Bharateeyudu 2'. The Story Aravindan (Siddharth) and his friends fight against corruption and injustices within the country. They spread awareness through social media videos and urge the return of Bharateeyudu. In response, the veteran freedom fighter Senapathi (Kamal Haasan), known for his previous anti-corruption crusades, returns to India. He takes decisive action against those deeply involved in corruption and motivates the youth. However, unexpected developments stir public dissent against Bharateeyudu. What exactly unfolded? Why did the public turn against Senapathi? What triggered their anger? Did Bharateeyudu succeed in his objectives upon returning? This forms the crux of the story. https://telugu.yousay.tv/en/bharateeyudu-2-review-kamal-haasan-returns-but-does-the-sequel-match-the-originals-brilliance.html

Bharateeyudu 2 Review: Kamal Haasan Returns, but Does the Sequel Match the Original's Brilliance?
Bharateeyudu 2 Review: Kamal Haasan Returns, but Does the Sequel Match the Original's Brilliance?
Cast: Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani, Vivek Director: Shankar Music: Anirudh Ravichander Cinematographer: Ravi Varman Editor: Sreekar Prasad Producer: Allirajah Subaskaran Release Date: 12-07-2024 Kamal Haasan and director Shankar's original film, 'Bharateeyudu', which debuted twenty-five years ago, became a sensation for its intense critique of corruption and bribery. The sequel, titled 'Bharateeyudu 2', was released in theaters on July 12. Alongside Kamal Haasan, the film stars Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, S.J. Surya, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam, and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. Has this film met expectations? Has Kamal Haasan once again captivated audiences as Bharateeyudu2? Let's explore in this review. Plot Aravindan (Siddharth) and his friends fight against corruption and injustices within the country. Performance  In 'Bharateeyudu 2', Kamal Haasan delivers a virtuoso performance, reprising the role of Senapathi with remarkable skill. Siddharth also stands out in a pivotal role. Rakul Preet Singh and S.J. Surya enhance the film with their performances, although their characters are somewhat underdeveloped. The rest of the cast delivers adequate performances. Direction Director Shankar seems to have merely repeated the narrative of Bharateeyudu. He updated an outdated story to fit modern times, focusing the sequel on showcasing how Bharateeyudu would eliminate corruption today. Shankar’s usual flair is missing in the direction. The screenplay is lackluster, and even Kamal Haasan's introduction isn't as engaging. While some scenes are well-executed, others fail to make an impact. However, Kamal Haasan's chase sequences and the fight scenes with terrorists are highlights. The social message adds some strength to the film, but the lack of father-daughter sentiment and uninspiring songs from the first film negatively impact this one. Overall, the sequel fails to mesmerize the audience as Senapathi did before. Technical Aspects On the technical front, the music by Anirudh Ravichander isn't memorable, though the background score is good. However, in some scenes, the BGM dominates too much. The cinematography is commendable, and the editing is passable. The production values are high, showing no compromise on spending. Plus Points Kamal Haasan's actingThe messageAction sequences Minus Points Outdated storyWeak screenplayLack of emotional impactDragging scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 2.5/5   Public Talk: What Are Netizens Saying? On Twitter, 'Bharateeyudu 2' is receiving mixed reactions. While a few comment that the film is good, many are posting that it's a flop, surrounding it with negative talk. Some even question if Shankar really directed the film. A netizen on Twitter called 'Bharateeyudu 2' a disaster, expressing dissatisfaction with its boring and outdated story. https://twitter.com/TheWarriorr26/status/1811574234780733548 Another netizen said the story progresses boringly. They noted that the first half lacks gripping and exciting sequences. https://twitter.com/newMovieBuff007/status/1811561032780820788 One person tweeted that the movie was discouraging, with a very poor screenplay and emotional scenes that didn't work, making 'Indian 3' seem unlikely. https://twitter.com/TheWarriorr26/status/1811574234780733548 A netizen named Vijay posted that 'Indian 2' was a below-average film. However, they found the trailer for 'Indian 3' played during the climax somewhat interesting, raising hopes for the next installment. https://twitter.com/vijay827482/status/1811579025699066091 Another netizen praised 'Bharateeyudu 2', complimenting Shankar's direction as next-level and Kamal Haasan's acting and action sequences. They gave the movie a four-star rating. https://twitter.com/FMovie82325/status/1811559067925524625

Indian 2 Weekend Collections: 'Bharateeyudu 2' takes a significant drop in earnings. How much over the weekend?
Indian 2 Weekend Collections: 'Bharateeyudu 2' takes a significant drop in earnings. How much over the weekend?
The film 'Bharateeyudu 2', starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar, is facing difficulties at the box office. Negative reviews from its first showing have significantly impacted its earnings. As a result, the revenue over Saturday and Sunday was low, causing the weekend collections to plummet. There is now widespread speculation that the film will be a disaster. How much were the weekend collections? Trade circles announced that 'Bharateeyudu 2' only managed to garner ₹59 crores over the weekend. It earned ₹25 crores on its first day, and significantly less, ₹18.2 crores on Saturday and ₹15.1 crores on Sunday. Saturday collections for the Tamil version were ₹13.7 crores, Telugu ₹3.2 crores, and Hindi ₹1.3 crores. Expected to increase, Sunday's collections instead dropped further, making ₹15.1 crores in India, with the Tamil version alone bringing in ₹11 crores. Telugu and Hindi versions only made ₹2.8 crores and ₹1.3 crores respectively. Further decline expected! With collections failing to meet expectations in the first weekend, the film crew is expressing concern. If this is the situation in the first week, there is apprehension about how much the collections could drop in the coming days. It's reported that some theater owners, especially in the Telugu states, are considering halting the screenings due to low turnout. Therefore, from Monday onwards, 'Bharateeyudu 2' is expected to perform even worse, with the Tamil market remaining the only hope for the film. Day 1 collections? Negative reviews impacted 'Bharateeyudu 2' on its first day, earning only ₹25.6 crores (GROSS) as reported by trade circles. The Tamil version collected the highest with ₹16.5 crores. Telugu earned ₹7.9 crores and Hindi just ₹1.2 crores. The film completely failed to attract the Hindi audience, leading to dismal collections in the north. The lack of interest from the Telugu audience was also noted. A significant drop compared to other films! Compared to Kamal Haasan's previous film 'Vikram', which earned ₹60 crores on its opening day, 'Bharateeyudu 2' saw a drastic fall in its Day 1 collections. His recent villain role in 'Kalki 2898 AD' garnered over ₹190 crores on its first day. Director Shankar's last film 'Robo 2.0' also created a record by collecting ₹93 crores on its opening day. However, 'Bharateeyudu 2' released on Friday didn't even come close to these films, collecting less than half of their Day 1 earnings, which surprised trade analysts. Why did the collections drop? The primary reason for the disappointing Day 1 collections of 'Bharateeyudu 2' is believed to be its failure to meet expectations. An outdated story and a weak screenplay significantly hurt the film. While the social message provided some strength, the lack of father-daughter sentiment, which was a plus in 'Bharateeyudu', turned out to be a negative. The songs also failed to impress, further impacting the film negatively. Overall, the sequel disappointed many, as netizens widely expressed their dissatisfaction. These factors likely contributed to the poor box office performance of 'Bharateeyudu 2'. What is the story about? Aravindan (Siddharth) and his friends fight against corruption and injustices within the country.

Anasuya delivers a compelling performance as teacher Akshika, embodying her character flawlessly. Divi, Sreenath Maganti, and Vashistha Simha also engage well in their roles, with Vashistha Simha's portrayal as the investigative officer being particularly notable. Senior actors Gautami and Kasturi add charm in secondary roles. Kabir, portraying the antagonist, was adequate. The rest of the cast performed well within their roles. Direction Director Murali Manohar has attempted to blend environmental themes into a crime and investigative story. The introduction of Anasuya’s character, the love track between Divi and Sreenath Maganti, and the dual murder events are well-handled in the first half. However, the police investigation scenes feel routine and lack logical progression. In the second half, Jagapathi Babu’s entrance as the Forest Man, emphasizing tree conservation and love for nature, brings thought-provoking scenes. Nonetheless, the lack of impactful dialogue means the director’s message doesn’t resonate strongly with the audience. The concept of 'biological memory' is intriguing in the film. A better presentation of the Forest Man episode could have enhanced the impact. Overall, although the movie's concept is interesting, the director fails to effectively convey it to the audience. Technically On the technical front, Krishna Saurabh’s background music is a highlight, elevating several scenes effectively. Krishnaprasad’s cinematography is commendable, and the editing is adequate. The production values are high. Plus Points - Performances by Jagapathi Babu and Anasuya - The environmental message - The secondary meanings Minus Points - Lack of engaging narrative - Dragged scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

Allu Sirish's 'Buddy': A Spirited Comeback in an Action-Packed Adventure
Allu Sirish's 'Buddy': A Spirited Comeback in an Action-Packed Adventure
Cast: Allu Sirish, Gayatri Bharadwaj, Prisha Singh, Ajmal Amir, Sriram Reddy, Mohammed Ali, Mukesh Kumar, and others. Director: Sam Antone Music: Hip-hop Tamizha Cinematography: Krishnan Vasant Editor: Ruben Producer: K.E. Gnanavel Raja Release Date: August 2, 2024 After a considerable hiatus, Mega Hero Allu Sirish makes his comeback with the film 'Buddy', starring alongside heroines Gayatri Bharadwaj and Prisha Singh. Directed by Sam Antone and produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green Films banner, this action-adventure film was released on August 2.  What's the Story? Aditya Ram (Allu Sirish), a pilot, falls in love with Pallavi (Gayatri Bharadwaj), who works as an air traffic controller in Visakhapatnam, without ever meeting her. Just as they plan to meet, unexpected events unfold. Pallavi gets caught in a medical mafia trap and is kidnapped, falling into a coma. Her spirit enters a teddy bear that Aditya once gifted her. How does her spirit, through the teddy, reunite with Aditya? How does Aditya, with the help of the teddy, retrieve her body from the villains? What did the villain gang plan to do with Pallavi's body? This is the story. How Did They Perform? Allu Sirish delivers a remarkable performance as Aditya. He excels in the action sequences, showing great maturity as an actor in this film. Gayatri Bharadwaj captivates with her glamour, charming the audience every moment she's on screen. Ajmal Amir, as the villain, matches well against Sirish, impressing with his acting. Second heroine Prisha Singh delights as an air hostess. The other actors also performed commendably within their roles. How's the Direction? Director Sam Antone made an effort to craft a unique story with this film. The love track between Allu Sirish and Gayatri Bharadwaj is beautifully executed. The scenes that show their connection despite being physically apart are particularly entertaining for the youth. The film keeps the audience engaged with 'Kalki' and 'Jai Balayya slogans' that add energy. The action sequences involving Buddy and Allu Sirish are enjoyable. However, the director failed to maintain suspense about what happens next, with the scenes being predictable. Some irrelevant comedy scenes caused viewer fatigue. An attempt to inject humor into the crucial climax was unnecessary. Technically... Technically speaking, Hip-hop Tamizha's background music is a strong addition, enhancing the action scenes, although the songs themselves are not very memorable. Krishnan Vasant's cinematographer is commendable. Editor Ruben could have sharpened his cuts a bit more. Better output from the graphics department would have added value to the film. Production values are satisfactory. Plus Points - Allu Sirish's acting - The love track - Action sequences with Buddy Minus Points - Screenplay - Lack of suspense - Some boring scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

'Slaves' Comment Backfires: Tamil Actress Kasthuri Shankar Schooled on Chennai's Telugu Origins and Tamil Nadu's Hidden Telugu Heritage
'Slaves' Comment Backfires: Tamil Actress Kasthuri Shankar Schooled on Chennai's Telugu Origins and Tamil Nadu's Hidden Telugu Heritage
Tamil actress Kasthuri Shankar, known for her roles in several blockbuster films like 'Bharatheeyudu', has recently made inappropriate comments targeting the Telugu-speaking people, equating them to slaves. Her comments, which purportedly elaborate on historical contexts, have sparked controversy in both Telugu states and have become a topic of discussion even in Tamil Nadu, where she is currently a member of the BJP. However, if Kasthuri were aware of history, she might have refrained from such remarks. Knowing the significant contributions of Telugu rulers, leaders, and individuals in Tamil lands would have offered a better perspective. What Exactly Happened? Tamil actress Kasthuri's recent comments have caused severe uproar in the Telugu states. During an event organized in Gurumoorthy Nagar in Chennai, she joined the BJP and targeted the DMK and the Karunanidhi family. She remarked that Telugu people, who initially came to serve in the royal courts 300 years ago, are now claiming Tamil identity, questioning who are others to deny Tamil identity to the Brahmins who came here long ago. She suggested that Dravidian ideologists oppose Brahmins merely because they advise against coveting others' wives, and thus, they oppose Sanathana Dharmam. She also claimed that speaking Telugu alone is enough to become ministers in Tamil Nadu, noting that five Telugu ministers are currently in the DMK government. Impact on Tamil History One of the prominent dynasties that ruled Tamil Nadu was the Cholas, among whom Kulottunga Chola-I was of Telugu descent. His father was Rajaraja Narendra, a ruler from the Vengi Chalukya dynasty who governed the region between Krishna and Godavari in present-day Andhra Pradesh. Kulottunga Chola’s mother, Ammangaidevi, was a princess in the Chola realm. After her father's death, instability plagued the Chola kingdom, leading Kulottunga to safeguard his grandfather's empire and continue ruling there. His descendants also successfully ruled Tamil Nadu. From 1061-1118, Kulottunga ruled as a Chalukya emperor, but his son Vikrama Chola became a Chola emperor, illustrating that the blood of Telugu Chalukyas was present in him. Historians often state that a Telugu person ruled the great Tamil kingdom of the Cholas, clearly marking the impact of Telugu culture on Tamil history. Image credit: Wikimedia Commons The Telugu Name Behind ‘Chennai’ The name of Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, comes from a Telugu person. In 1639, Damerla Chennappa Nayakudu, a prince under Venkatapati Nayak, a lord from the Andhra Padmanayaka dynasty, governed the area. The British, under the East India Company, settled there and later renamed the area as Madras. Over time, the area became known as Madras, but locals preferred to call it Chennai Pattinam or Chennapuri. Following local preference, after independence, the name was officially changed to Chennai in August 1996. Image credit: Wikimedia Commons Telugu Influence on Madras Previously, the combined state of Madras, now Tamil Nadu, was united with Andhra Pradesh. Due to Potti Sreeramulu’s hunger strike, Andhra Pradesh was formed as a separate state on October 1, 1953. Telugu people played vital roles in all sectors in the erstwhile Madras state, contributing to its development. From 1925-29, Srikalahasti zamindar Panaganti Ramarayanam served as the president of the Justice Party and Chief Minister of Madras, during which the current Thyagaraya Nagar was established. Between 1932-36, Bobbili Raja, Sri Ramakrishna Ranga Rao, served as the Chief Minister of the Madras Presidency. Rao Bahadur Kurma Venkata Reddy Naidu worked as the Governor of Madras. Even before the split, Prakasam Pantulu, a Telugu person, served as the Chief Minister of the united Madras state. The first three graduates in law from Madras University were Telugu. Thus, Telugu individuals significantly impacted politics, education, medicine, law, and commerce. Image credit: Wikimedia Commons Hundreds of Telugu Manuscripts Vijayanagara Emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya, known to all Telugu people, wrote 'Amuktamalyada' under the witness of his court's Ashtadiggajas, which is still preserved in the Tanjavur library in Tamil Nadu. Along with it, 778 palm manuscripts covering mathematics, science, and mythology are stored there, demonstrating the extent of Telugu cultural influence in Tamil Nadu. This cultural patronage by ancient kings highlights Tamil Nadu as a symbol of cultural integration, which everyone should recognize.

‘Kesava Chandra Ramavat (KCR)’ Review: Rocking Rakesh Shines in a Heartfelt Tribute with an Emotional Twist
‘Kesava Chandra Ramavat (KCR)’ Review: Rocking Rakesh Shines in a Heartfelt Tribute with an Emotional Twist
Cast: Rocking Rakesh, Ananya Krishnan, Lohith, Mime Madhu, Tanikella Bharani, Tagubothu Ramesh, Dhanraj, Jordar Sujatha, and othersDirector: Anji GarudavegaMusic: Charan ArjunEditor: Chintala MadhuProducer: Rocking RakeshProduction House: Green Tree ProductionsRelease Date: November 22, 2024 Comedian Rocking Rakesh stars in Kesava Chandra Ramavat (shortened as KCR), a film with an intriguing premise tied to the former Telangana Chief Minister, KCR. With Rakesh portraying a die-hard fan of KCR, the movie garnered significant hype. Directed by Anji Garudavega, the film also stars Ananya Krishnan, Tanikella Bharani, Dhanraj, and others. Did Rakesh impress in his lead role and justify the hype? Let’s find out in this review. The Plot Kesava Chandra Ramavat, alias KCR (Rocking Rakesh), hails from Rangabai Tanda in Warangal district and has been a devoted fan of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) since childhood. Inspired by KCR’s speeches during the Telangana movement, Kesava grew up idolizing him. His cousin, Manju (Ananya Krishnan), is in love with him, but Kesava dreams of marrying a wealthy city girl, believing it would secure his future. Eventually, he gets engaged to the daughter of a rich man and vows to marry her in the presence of KCR. Determined to fulfill his promise, Kesava travels to Hyderabad to convince KCR to attend his wedding. What challenges does he face in the city? How does the ring road project create problems for his village? Does Kesava succeed in bringing KCR to his wedding? The answers form the crux of the story. Performances Rocking Rakesh delivers an earnest performance as a passionate KCR fan, showcasing his natural acting skills. His portrayal of a young man fighting for his village and dreams is convincing. Ananya Krishnan, playing Manju, does a decent job, though her role doesn’t offer much scope for acting. Lohith as Kesava’s father and Mime Madhu as his uncle stand out with their performances. Tagubothu Ramesh and Jordar Sujatha provide comic relief in their brief appearances. Tanikella Bharani, Dhanraj, and others perform adequately within their limited roles. Direction Director Anji Garudavega narrates the story of a simple Lambada youth’s journey from his village to the city, driven by his admiration for KCR. The film captures the emotional journey of Kesava, highlighting his struggles and dreams. The first half introduces Kesava, his village life, and his inspiration drawn from KCR’s speeches. The promise to bring KCR to his wedding adds intrigue to the second half. The challenges Kesava faces in Hyderabad and the emotional climax involving the ring road issue are handled well. However, the film’s overt focus on glorifying a political figure might limit its appeal. While it serves as a celebration for KCR fans and BRS supporters, its reception among general audiences remains uncertain. Technical Aspects Technically, the film is well-crafted. Director Anji Garudavega also impresses as a cinematographer. Charan Arjun’s songs and background score elevate the emotional sequences. The production values are commendable, reflecting a well-invested effort. Strengths Rocking Rakesh’s performanceEmotional sequencesMusic Weaknesses Overemphasis on a politicianA few stretched scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Bench Life Series Review: A Relatable Tale for IT Professionals with Stellar Performances
Bench Life Series Review: A Relatable Tale for IT Professionals with Stellar Performances
Cast: Vaibhav Reddy, Ritika Singh, Charan, Akanksha Singh, Nayan Sarika, Rajendra Prasad, Tanikella Bharani, Venkatesh Kakumanu, and others. Writer and Director: Manasa Sharma Cinematography: Dhanush Bhaskar Music: P.K. Dandi Producer: Niharika Konidela Production Company: Pink Elephant Pictures OTT Platform: SonyLIV Release Date: September 12, 2024 After the recent release and success of 'Committee Kurrollu,' which featured new actors and a fresh storyline, Niharika Konidela received commendations. This set high expectations for her newly produced web series 'Bench Life,' centered around the struggles of software employees, directed by Manasa Sharma against an IT backdrop. The series stars Vaibhav Reddy, Charan Peri, Ritika Singh, and Akanksha Singh in leading roles and began streaming on SonyLIV from September 12. Let’s delve into this review to see if 'Bench Life' is another hit in Niharika's account. What’s the Story? Balu (Vaibhav Reddy), Ravi (Charan Peri), and Meenakshi (Ritika Singh) are employees at a prominent software company and also good friends. Balu has been in love with Esha (Akanksha Singh), a colleague, for nine years but has never confessed his feelings. Meanwhile, Meenakshi dreams of becoming a director and circulates her scripts among producers. In the meantime, Ravi plans a trip to Goa with his wife (Nayan Sarika) and two friends, prompting the three friends to go on the bench. What happens after they go on the bench? What role does Prasad Vashisht (Rajendra Prasad) play in the company? What causes discord between Ravi and his wife? Did Ravi confess his love to Esha? What happened to Esha’s dream of becoming a director? To find out, one must watch the series. How Did They Perform? Vaibhav, as Balu, delivers a commendable performance, generating plenty of laughs with his comedic timing. Akanksha Singh, as his love interest, played her part well, captivating as a reserved young woman unable to express her inner feelings. The highlight of the series might be said to be the duo Charan Peri and Nayan Sarika, whose performances along with their scenes together are highly entertaining. Ritika fits perfectly into the role of Meenakshi, a young woman struggling to break free from an unsatisfying job to pursue her dreams of directing. Tulasi justly fulfills her role, while Rajendra Prasad once again charms with his comedic timing and emotional delivery. Tanikella Bharani, though in a brief role, makes a significant impact at a crucial moment in the story. Niharika Konidela, Sangith Shoban, and Venkat make memorable appearances in guest roles. How Was the Direction? Director Manasa Sharma has crafted the series in a way that connects well with the youth, particularly software employees, developing each character with a purposeful arc. The finale provided for the characters of Charan Peri and Nayan Sarika is particularly well-done. However, the endings given to Ritika Singh and Akanksha Singh's characters feel overly cinematic and lack naturalness. The comedy track between Rajendra Prasad and Vaibhav Reddy is a significant plus, as are the sentimental scenes involving Rajendra Prasad and Nayan Sarika. Overall, director Manasa Sharma has earned commendable marks, though the coarse language used by Vaibhav and the series’ appeal primarily to IT professionals could be seen as drawbacks. Technically... On the technical front, the cinematographer has done an excellent job presenting the software office environment effectively. The background music is also praiseworthy. Other departments like art work and production design have shown solid performance, reflecting high production values. Plus Points - Performances of the main cast - Directional skills - Comedy elements Minus Points - Occasionally bold dialogues - Appeal mainly limited to IT professionals Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 3/5

Prasad Producer: Maheshwara Reddy Release Date: August 01, 2024 The latest film starring Ashwin Babu, who is the brother of well-known anchor and director Ohmkar, is titled 'Shivam Bhaje.' Digangana Suryavanshi plays the lead female role. Directed by Abdul Apsar Hussain, the movie also features notable actors such as Hyper Aadi, Arbaaz Khan, Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, and Brahmaji in significant roles. The promotional materials, trailer, and teaser have significantly raised expectations for this film, which was released on August 1. Let's explore how the film fared and whether it succeeded in captivating the audience. Plot Chandu (Ashwin Babu) works as a loan recovery agent. During his job, he falls in love with Shailaja (Digangana Suryavanshi), who works in a chemical lab. Due to an incident, Chandu loses his sight. Following a dramatic event blessed by Lord Shiva, an operation restores his vision. However, after regaining his sight, Chandu begins to see various visuals. Whose eyes did Chandu receive? What are these visuals he sees? Why does a mere recovery agent end up fighting with enemy nations? What deed did Chandu perform with the grace of Lord Shiva? What role does Dogra (a dog) play in the story? To find out, one must watch the movie. Performances Ashwin Babu delivers a remarkable performance in the role of Chandu, showcasing great versatility across two dimensions. Digangana Suryavanshi captivates the audience as Shailaja. The chemistry between Ashwin and Digangana is effectively established. Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan impresses in his role as a police officer, and comedian Hyper Aadi elicits laughter with his impeccable timing. Seasoned actors Brahmanandam and Murali Sharma mesmerize with their performances, while other actors adequately fulfill their roles. Direction Director Abdul Apsar Hussain commendable intertwines mystery and devotional elements. Some suspense scenes in this crime drama are quite engaging. The storyline woven around international espionage also pleases, though the screenplay falters at times. The narrative could have been presented more effectively on screen. The subplot involving murders seems rather weak. Chandu's character could have been made more powerful. Some scenes lack logical coherence. The slow pace of the story and a lack of engaging elements in the first half are drawbacks. Unrelated scenes test the audience's patience. Technically On the technical front, Dasarathi Shivendra’s cinematography is impressive. He beautifully presents key scenes, especially in the second half. Vikas Badisa’s music is decent. Chota K. Prasad’s editing is also commendable. The production values are high. Plus Points - Ashwin Babu’s acting - Suspense scenes - Climax Minus Points - Slow narration - Lack of engaging elements - Irrelevant scenes Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5

Telugu Mind-Bender 'Rahasyam Idham Jagath' Takes on Hollywood! 🌀 Time Travel Meets Sri Chakra in This American-Shot Thriller
Telugu Mind-Bender 'Rahasyam Idham Jagath' Takes on Hollywood! 🌀 Time Travel Meets Sri Chakra in This American-Shot Thriller
Cast: Rakesh Galebhe, Sravanthi Pattipati, Manasa Veena, Bhargav Gopinatham, Karthik Khandal, Aadi Naidu, Shiva Juturi, and others Director: Komal R. Bharadwaj Music: Gyani Cinematography: Taylor Blumel Editor: Chota K. Prasad Producers: Hiranya, Padma, Komal R. Bharadwaj Release Date: November 8, 2024 'Rahasyam Idham Jagath' stars Rakesh Galebhe, Sravanthi Pattipati, Manasa Veena, Bhargav Gopinatham, and others in key roles. Produced by Padma and Hiranya Ravinuthala under Single Cell Universe Production and directed by Komal R. Bharadwaj, the movie hit theaters today (November 8). Promoted as a film featuring elements of time travel and a multi-universe concept, let’s find out how this film fares. What's the Story The story takes place in America. Akira (Sravanthi) and her boyfriend Abhi (Rakesh) plan a trip to India. Before leaving, they decide to go on a trip with old friends (Vishwa, Kalyan, and Aru). They end up in a remote forest village where Akira’s ex, Vishwa, also joins them. Due to heavy snowfall, they are forced to stay the night in a local hotel. One of Akira’s friends, Aru, a scientist, is researching the concept of the multi-universe. A fight ensues, and Abhi ends up killing Akira and Kalyan. At this point, Aru reveals that there is a way to the multi-universe in the village. Desperate to bring his friends back to life, Abhi starts searching for a wormhole to the multi-universe. What happens next? Does Abhi find the wormhole? Can he save his friends? Do Abhi and Akira end up going to India? This is the story. Performance  Rakesh, known for his hit short films, shines as the lead, particularly in his scenes traveling through the wormhole. Sravanthi impresses as Akira, while Aru fits well in the role of the scientist. Bhargav provides some laughs, and Karthik performs well in a negative role. The fact that the entire shoot took place in America, with training influenced by Hollywood, is evident in the actors' performances. The rest of the cast delivered well within their roles. Direction Director Komal R. Bharadwaj seems to have drawn inspiration from Hollywood films like Inception and Interstellar. However, he creatively connects these concepts with events from Indian mythology to resonate with the local audience. The way he links the multi-universe to the Sri Chakra and the wormhole is intriguing. The first half is mostly about the friends’ trip and conflicts, with the multi-universe element introduced right before the interval. In the second half, Abhi’s search for the wormhole and his time travel to save his friends are depicted. The interval scene and climax add strength to the film. However, the heavy use of American actors, the Hollywood-inspired scenes, and dialogues that lack a local touch are notable drawbacks. Technical Aspects Technically, the film stands out with its impressive visuals and cinematography, especially in the forest locations. However, the background music often overpowers the dialogues. The songs are decent, though dubbing could have been more refined. Production values are high, complementing the film’s theme well. Plus Points Multi-universe storylineMythological link-upCinematography Minus Points Slow first halfLack of commercial elements Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5
