Shriya Saran was born on September 11, 1982, in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Her father, Pushpendra Saran, worked at BHEL, and her mother, Neerja Saran, was a chemistry teacher. Shriya made her film debut as a lead actress in the 2001 film 'Ishtam,' where she impressed everyone with her performance. This led to her second film with Nagarjuna, where she played his love interest in the movie 'Santosham,' earning high praise. She then appeared in films like 'Chennakesava Reddy' (2002) with Balakrishna, 'Nuvve Nuvve' (2002) with Tarun, and 'Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu' (2003) with Udhay Kiran, which brought her into the limelight.
