Ravi Teja appears very powerful as Mr. Bachchan, dazzling with his unique style of comedy and reminiscent of the Ravi Teja of the past. He marked his presence in both action sequences and emotional scenes, showing versatility adapted to the situations. Bhagyashri Borse charmed with her glamor, especially shining in the songs. Jagapathi Babu fully justified his role as the antagonist. Comedian Satya entertained with his comedy, especially in the first half. Sachin Khedekar, Tanikella Bharani, Gautami, and Praveen also performed well in their respective roles, fitting perfectly within their character limits. How's the Direction? Director Harish Shankar attempted to show through this film the benefits to society when an Income Tax Officer works with integrity. He well-crafted the character of Mr. Bachchan and its related scenes. The love track between Ravi Teja and Bhagyashri Borse was a strong point of the movie. It played a crucial role in engaging the audience in the first half, along with Satya’s comedy. The climax leading up to the raid on Muthyam Jaggaiah's house and the subsequent action-packed scenes turned the narrative engaging. However, the magic of Harish’s direction faded somewhat in the second half. The entire second half revolving solely around the IT raid lessened the intrigue. A more interesting build-up between the hero and the villain's mind games would have been advantageous. A stronger portrayal of the villain’s role could have elevated the film to another level. Technically Technically, Mickey J. Meyer was the first hero for this film, providing catchy tunes suitable for the narrative. Songs like "Reppalu Dappulu," "Jikki," "Sitara," and "Nallanchu Tella Cheera" were a feast for both ears and eyes. Ayananka Bose's cinematographer was captivating. The production values were high. In this context, he posted a defiant message on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Try to stop me." What prompted Vishal to post this? What is the nature of his controversy with the producers' council? Let’s delve into the details. What happened? Vishal previously served as the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC). During his tenure, he faced allegations of misusing Rs. 12 crores. More recently, Vishal indirectly targeted the Tamil Nadu government and some producers in his comments about the monopoly over theaters in Tamil Nadu. He criticized the control a few individuals have over movie release timings and their overarching control of the cinema industry. Did it achieve success similar to the original Demonte Colony? Let's find out in this review. Plot Samuel Richard (Sarjano Khalid) unexpectedly commits suicide after overcoming a disease like cancer. His wife, Debbie (Priya Bhavani Shankar), struggles to come to terms with his decision and attempts to communicate with his spirit to uncover the reason behind his actions. She discovers from a book in a library that his death was predetermined by that book. Debbie learns that many others who read this book also died similarly. Recently, Srinivas (Arulnithi) and his twin brother Raghunandan (Arulnithi) have also read the book, putting their lives in danger. What is this book? What is the evil power behind it? Performance Arulnithi excels in a dual role, showcasing distinct variations between the two characters in appearance and performance. Priya Bhavani Shankar, in the main female lead, impressed significantly, especially with a change in her hairstyle giving her a fresh look. This role, unlike her previous glamor roles, provided her with a substantial acting opportunity. Arun Pandian, playing the role of Debbie's uncle, did a satisfactory job. Archana Ravichandran, though in a brief appearance, managed to entertain. Muthukumar, Sarjano Khalid, and others performed well, particularly those portraying Buddhist monks who were captivating. Direction R. Ajay Gnanamuthu has crafted part 2 as a continuation of the original 'Demonte Colony' story. The film keeps the audience engaged with twists every half-hour from the start. The director skillfully intertwined two stories by introducing a family not present in the first part. The film not only deals with horror but also includes disputes among brothers and step-sisters, adding a bit of entertainment. Debbie’s efforts to save the twin brothers and the ensuing horror elements are thrilling. The screenplay is quite engaging. The climax along with the scenes linking to a potential third part are surprising. However, weak graphics, some dragging scenes, and the pre-climax could be seen as negatives. Technically On the technical front, the cinematographer did an excellent job by not just sticking to the typical dark mode of regular horror films but presenting it in a colorful manner. The graphics department could have done better. The background music was good, enhancing the suspense in the scenes. Editing was decent. The production values are high. Surya, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam, and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. Has this film met expectations? Has Kamal Haasan once again captivated audiences as Bharateeyudu2? Let's explore in this review. Plot Aravindan (Siddharth) and his friends fight against corruption and injustices within the country. They spread awareness through social media videos and urge the return of Bharateeyudu. In response, the veteran freedom fighter Senapathi (Kamal Haasan), known for his previous anti-corruption crusades, returns to India. He takes decisive action against those deeply involved in corruption and motivates the youth. However, unexpected developments stir public dissent against Bharateeyudu. What exactly unfolded? Why did the public turn against Senapathi? What triggered their anger? Did Bharateeyudu succeed in his objectives upon returning? This forms the crux of the story. Performance  In 'Bharateeyudu 2', Kamal Haasan delivers a virtuoso performance, reprising the role of Senapathi with remarkable skill. Siddharth also stands out in a pivotal role. Rakul Preet Singh and S.J. Surya enhance the film with their performances, although their characters are somewhat underdeveloped. The rest of the cast delivers adequate performances. Direction Director Shankar seems to have merely repeated the narrative of Bharateeyudu. He updated an outdated story to fit modern times, focusing the sequel on showcasing how Bharateeyudu would eliminate corruption today. Shankar’s usual flair is missing in the direction. The screenplay is lackluster, and even Kamal Haasan's introduction isn't as engaging. While some scenes are well-executed, others fail to make an impact. However, Kamal Haasan's chase sequences and the fight scenes with terrorists are highlights. The social message adds some strength to the film, but the lack of father-daughter sentiment and uninspiring songs from the first film negatively impact this one. Overall, the sequel fails to mesmerize the audience as Senapathi did before. Technical Aspects On the technical front, the music by Anirudh Ravichander isn't memorable, though the background score is good. However, in some scenes, the BGM dominates too much. His latest film as a protagonist, 'Aho! Vikramarka,directed by Trikoti, is released on August 30. How did the film turn out? Did hero Dev Gill succeed? Let's find out in this review. Plot In Pune, 1200 laborers from a colony disappear without a trace for 25 years, leaving their families in despair, not knowing whether they are alive or dead. During this period, Vikramarka (Dev Gill) is transferred to the Pune police station as an SI. Initially, he colluded with the drug mafia led by Bilal (Posani Krishna Murali). Influenced by his girlfriend Archana (Chitra Shukla), he transforms into an honest police officer. What incident prompted Vikramarka's change? What happened to the missing laborers? Was Vikramarka able to save them? What challenges did he face in this process? This is the story. Performances Dev Gill has shown his mark in action scenes. With experience playing villains in various films, he seemed to handle action effortlessly. However, he struggled significantly in love scenes and emotional sequences, failing to express emotions convincingly. Chitra Shukla delivered a solid performance as the heroine, fitting well into her role. Praveen and Tejaswini Pandit, as the villain and ACP Bhavani respectively, were compelling. Posani Krishna Murali and Sayaji Shinde impressed with their seasoned acting. The rest of the cast was satisfactory. Direction Directed by Peta Trikoti, the film reminds one of Telugu hits like 'Temper' and 'Pataas.' However, the plot lacks novelty, and the narration isn't engaging. The director failed to extract compelling performances corresponding to the story's demands. The love track between the hero and heroine feels quite tedious, and Dev Gill's romantic looks recall his villain roles. Nonetheless, Trikoti made an effort to showcase his style in the fight scenes, which are somewhat interesting when the hero confronts the villains. Technically... The art department performed well.
