Nindha Movie Review: Has Varun Sandesh Broken His Streak of Flops?
Nindha Movie Review: Has Varun Sandesh Broken His Streak of Flops?
Cast: Varun Sandesh, Annie GB, Tanikella Bharani, Bhadram, Surya Kumar, Shreya Rani Reddy, Madhu, and others Written and Directed by: Rajesh Jagannadham Music: Santhu Omkar Cinematography: Ramiz Naveeth Editor: Anil Kumar P. Producer: Rajesh Jagannadham Release Date: June 21, 2024 Starring Varun Sandesh, the film "Nindha," directed by Rajesh Jagannadham, is presented under the theme "Kandrakota Mystery." Annie, Tanikella Bharani, Bhadram, and Surya Kumar play significant roles. The already released trailer and teaser have captivated audiences. The film premiered on June 21. Did it manage to please viewers? Has it brought success to Varun Sandesh after his string of previous flops? What’s the story? In the village of Kandrakota, Balraju (Chatrapati Shekhar) is arrested and condemned to death for the rape and murder of a girl named Munju. Distressed by the case, the presiding judge, Satyanand (Tanikella Bharani), dies, haunted by his inability to deliver a fair verdict. Driven to uncover the true perpetrator, the judge's son, Vivek (Varun Sandesh), takes matters into his own hands. He kidnaps six people connected to the case, unveiling the actual facts. What does Vivek uncover? Which of the six is the real murderer? Can Vivek prevent the wrongful execution of Balraju? These questions form the core of the story. How did they perform? Varun Sandesh, typically cast as a lover boy, takes on a new role as Vivek. His standout performance as a Human Rights Commissioner is impressive, with his effort visible in every scene, enhancing his stature as an actor. Chatrapati Shekhar and Madhu, portraying Balraju and Manju respectively, have also delivered captivating performances. The six kidnapped characters performed adequately, and other characters fulfilled their roles satisfactorily. How is the direction? Incidents of people being punished for crimes they did not commit frequently make headlines. Director Rajesh Jagannadham commendably centers his film on this theme. The story begins with the abduction of six individuals, and the first half focuses on extracting the truth, which may feel prolonged and potentially bore the audience. However, the second half is more engagingly directed. It provides clear answers to the backstories of Balraju and Manju, the relevance of the six kidnapped individuals to the case, and other pivotal questions. An unexpected twist in the climax keeps the audience on edge. Despite some slow-paced scenes in the first half, the movie will appeal to fans of crime thrillers. Technically... On the technical front, the background music is pleasing, although at times it overpowers the dialogues. The cinematography is good. Despite being shot in limited locations, the visuals are quite natural. The editing could have been tighter. The production values are appropriate for the film. Plus Points - Varun Sandesh's acting - Background music - Second half Minus Points - First half - Protracted scenes Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5

Honeymoon Express Review: A Fresh Take on Romance and Conflict Resolution
Honeymoon Express Review: A Fresh Take on Romance and Conflict Resolution
Cast: Chaitanya Rao, Hebah Patel, Tanikella Bharani, Suhasini, Aravind Krishna, Ali, Surekha Vani, Ravi Varma, and others Director: Bala Rajashekharuni Music: Kalyani Malik Background Music: R.P. Patnaik Producers: K.K.R., Balaraju Release Date: June 21, 2024 Chaitanya Rao and Hebah Patel team up for the first time in "Honeymoon Express," directed by Bala Rajashekharuni and co-produced by K.K.R. and Balaraju. Tanikella Bharani and Suhasini also play significant roles. Released on June 21, did this film captivate audiences? Did it bring success to Chaitanya Rao and Hebah Patel? Let's explore these questions in this review. What’s the Story? Ishan (Chaitanya Rao) and Sonali (Hebah Patel) first meet through a minor accident, which blossoms into romance and leads to their marriage. However, they have different approaches to life; Sonali is fast-paced, while Ishan is methodical. This disparity often causes conflicts between them. One day, they encounter a senior couple who introduce them to a game called "Honeymoon Express" and invite them to a resort. What exactly is "Honeymoon Express"? Does the game help resolve the conflicts between Ishan and Sonali? Does it enhance their romantic life? This forms the crux of the story. How Did They Perform? Chaitanya Rao, known for his charm in a series of films, delivers another impressive performance in this movie, skillfully playing dual roles. Hebah Patel once again tries to captivate audiences with her beauty, and their chemistry is likely to appeal to the youth. Veteran actors Tanikella Bharani and Suhasini consistently entertain with their seasoned performances, bringing laughter to the theaters. The story mainly centers on these four characters. The other cast members performed competently within their roles. How is the Direction? The increasing frequency of young couples separating shortly after marriage has become a notable trend. Director Bala Rajashekharuni has chosen this issue as the theme of his movie. The film aims to convey that couples should make an effort to understand each other's preferences post-marriage. However, the director struggles with his storytelling, introducing elements such as science fiction and time travel, which lead to confusion. Some scenes designed to appeal to the youth may be perceived as overly bold, possibly deterring family audiences. Nonetheless, the innovative concept of the characters coming from the future to fix their lives adds a fresh twist to the narrative. Technically… On the technical front, the songs by Kalyani Malik are good, and the background score by R.P. Patnaik is adequate. The cinematography is passable. Better editing could have improved the film. Production values are also adequate. Plus Points - Acting by Chaitanya Rao and Hebah Patel - Contemporary themes - Music Minus Points - Narrative and screenplay - Protracted scenes Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5 https://telugu.yousay.tv/do-you-know-these-top-secrets-about-hebba-patel.html

Bhaje Vaayu Vegam Review: Kartikeya Delivers a Solid performance After 'RX100'!
Bhaje Vaayu Vegam Review: Kartikeya Delivers a Solid performance After 'RX100'!
Cast: Kartikeya, Iswarya Menon, Rahul Haridas, Tanikella Bharani, Ravi Shankar, and others Director: Prashanth Reddy Music Directors: Radhan, Kapil Kumar Jammul Cinematography: R.D. Rajasekhar Editor: G. Satya Production House: UV Creations Release Date: May 31, 2024 In his latest film, 'Bhaje Vaayu Vegam', young hero Kartikeya impresses once again under the direction of Prashanth Reddy. Iswarya Menon plays the female lead in this film produced by UV Creations. The movie's trailer and teasers have already captured the audience's attention, raising expectations for the film. How did this crime thriller fare upon its release on May 31? Did it captivate the audience? Let's find out in this review. Plot After his parents' untimely death, Venkat (Kartikeya) is left orphaned at a young age. Rajanna (Tanikella Bharani), a close friend of his father, takes him in and raises him alongside his biological son, Raju (Rahul Haridas), with hopes for their bright future. The brothers, however, mislead Rajanna by fabricating stories about their employment in the city. As Rajanna's health begins to fail, Venkat turns to betting with a notorious gang to secure funds for his father's medical needs, but he is duped. Fueled by betrayal, Venkat vows to exact revenge on the gang. The story unfolds as Venkat confronts various obstacles in his path of revenge and explores his romantic relationship with Iswarya Menon. Performances Kartikeya, the young hero, dazzles with his performance, excelling in scenes of anguish and emotion and impressing in action sequences. Iswarya Menon, though not given much scope for performance, manages to charm with her screen presence. Rahul Haridas delivers a solid performance in his role. Villain Ravi Shankar makes his mark as usual, and Tanikella Bharani, along with other supporting actors, do justice to their roles. Direction Director Prashanth Reddy proves his mettle with his debut, successfully crafting a solid action thriller. He starts the movie with a gripping scene of the hero in lock-up and narrates the story through flashbacks in a unique way. Using the first half to set up the story, he spikes interest with a significant twist at the interval, maintaining the flow into an engaging second half leading up to the climax. However, the climax follows a conventional commercial format, which might feel a bit unsatisfactory. The love track between the hero and heroine also feels routine and lacks chemistry. Apart from a few logical errors, 'Bhaje Vaayu Vegam' definitely thrills. Technically On the technical front, the background score by Kapil Kumar enhances the action sequences, taking them to another level, while Radhan's songs are also impressive. R.D. Rajasekhar's cinematography is commendable. Editing is satisfactory, and the production values are high. Plus Points - Kartikeya's performance - The twist at the interval - Engaging second half Minus Points - Routine love track - Conventional climax Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Prathinidhi 2 Review: Nara Rohit captivates as a journalist but…
Cast: Nara Rohit, Siri Lella, Dinesh Tej, Saptagiri, Tanikella Bharani, Indraja, Udaya Bhanu, Ajay Ghosh, Ajay, Praveen, Prudhvi Raj, Raghbabu and others Director: Murthy Devagupthapu Music: Mahati Swara Sagar Editing: Raviteja Girijala Cinematography: Nani Chamidishetty Producers: Kumararaja Battula, Anjaneyulu Sri Thota, Surendranath Bollineni Production Companies: Vanara Entertainments, Rana Arts Release Date: May 10, 2024 Nara Rohit reprises his role as the protagonist in the newest political action flick 'Prathinidhi 2,' a follow-up to its predecessor 'Prathinidhi.' Helmed by acclaimed journalist Murthy Devagupthapu, this political thriller has captured widespread attention, particularly due to its release timing amidst the AP elections. The promotional materials, including posters and trailers, have already stirred curiosity. Has it succeeded in leaving a mark on the audience? Story Chetan (played by Nara Rohit) embodies integrity as a journalist. Operating as a freelance reporter, he fearlessly unveils the truth, ultimately ascending to the position of CEO at NCC Channel. From this vantage point, Chetan embarks on a mission to uncover the misdeeds of political figures. However, amidst his crusade, an assassination attempt targets CM Prajapathi (portrayed by Sachin Khedekar). Who stands behind this sinister plot? And what revelations surface through the ensuing CBI investigation? To fully grasp the depth of Nara Rohit's battle against the political establishment, one must experience the narrative unfold on screen. Performance Review Nara Rohit shines in his portrayal of journalist Chetan, adeptly conveying emotional depth and commanding the action sequences. His performance stands out as a highlight in the initial half of the film. Siri Lella, though with a restricted role, captivates viewers' interest in the latter part. Sachin Khedekar leaves an indelible impression with his portrayal of the CM. Additionally, commendable performances are delivered by Dinesh Tej, Jisshu Sengupta, Ajay Ghosh, Prudhvi Raj, and Udaya Bhanu, collectively enhancing the cinematic experience. Direction Review Director Murthy adeptly shapes the film into a commercial political drama, offering a unique perspective on journalism and political structures. The opening sequences skillfully establish the protagonist's integrity and the noble essence of journalism. The initial half portrays the hero wielding a pen, while in the latter half, he transitions to wielding a sword, leading to pivotal plot turns. The director's depiction of the significance of a vote resonates powerfully, yet certain political scenes may verge on excessive dramatization. Additionally, the familial backdrop of the hero in the latter half may seem somewhat conventional, and the portrayal of the CBI appears overly simplistic. Technical Aspects Technically, the film is well-crafted. Nani Chamidishetty’s cinematography and Mahati Swara Sagar’s background score are strengths. The editor could have been more stringent, especially in the second half. The production values are appropriate for the film’s scale. Plus Points - Nara Rohit’s acting - Twists in the story - Political dialogues Minus Points - Editing - Some illogical scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

Aadikeshava Review: Mega Nephew Excels in Action Scenes with His 'Rudra Tandav' Performance. How is 'Aadikeshava'?
Aadikeshava Review: Mega Nephew Excels in Action Scenes with His 'Rudra Tandav' Performance. How is 'Aadikeshava'?
Cast: Panja Vaisshnav Tej, Sreeleela, Joju George, Sada, Sudarshan, Radhika Sarath Kumar, Jayaprakash, Tanikella Bharani, Suman, Aparna Das, and others. Writer and Director: Sreekanth N. Reddy Cinematography: Dudley Music: GV Prakash Kumar Production Houses: Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas Producers: Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya Release Date: November 24, 2023 Mega Nephew Panja Vaisshnav Tej, who gained a blockbuster hit with his debut movie 'Uppena', didn't achieve the same level of success in his subsequent films. However, he had high hopes for his latest movie 'Aadikeshava'. Different from his past movies, he appeared in a mass look in this one. Did 'Aadikeshava' bring him success? Did the Vaisshnav-Sreeleela pair impress the audience? Let's find out in this review. Story Baloo (Vaisshnav Tej), raised under his mother's shadow, grows up boldly but can't tolerate injustice. He confronts anyone regardless of their power. Forced by his parents, he joins a cosmetic company. He falls in love with the CEO, Chitravati (Sreeleela). A man from Brahmasamudram tells Baloo that he has a different family and his real name is Rudra Kaleswar Reddy. Who is Baloo? What happens when he goes to Brahmasamudram? How does he confront Chengareddy (Joju George), the antagonist causing havoc in the region? To know, one must watch the movie. Review The first half is light-hearted, showing friendship, love, and family scenes in Hyderabad. The story takes a turn at the interval. The second half is all about Baloo's confrontation with Chengareddy. The film follows a pattern - a song when the hero and heroine meet, and a fight when the hero and villain face each other. Performances Vaisshnav Tej has once again proved himself as a good actor. He is entertaining as a lover boy in the first half and shows valor as Rudra Kaleswar Reddy in the second. Sreeleela doesn't have much scope for acting but excels in dance. Radhika, as the hero's mother, impresses. Joju George, as the villain, appears cruel but his character lacks impact. Aparna Das, Suman, Tanikella Bharani, and others performed well within their roles. Sudarshan provided some comic relief. Direction The film has elements of love, family bonds, drama, and politics but director Sreekanth N. Reddy struggled to present them effectively. Apart from a few twists, the story and narration lack novelty, resembling old faction movies. Emotional scenes and suspenseful moments are missing. Despite weak writing, the direction is good. Technically The technical aspects of the film are commendable. Dudley's cinematography is captivating. GV Prakash Kumar's songs aren't memorable, but the background score is good. Other departments also showed good work. Production values are high. Positives Vaisshnav Tej's actingTwistsBackground music Negatives Routine story and narrationLack of emotional depth Rating: 2.5/5

Rathnam Movie: Vishal Dominates with Electrifying Action Sequences
Rathnam Movie: Vishal Dominates with Electrifying Action Sequences
Cast: Vishal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Ramachandra Raju, Yogi Babu, Murali Sharma, Harish Peradi, Mohan Raman, Vijay Kumar Director: Hari Music: Devi Sri Prasad Cinematography: M. Sukumar Editing: T.S. Jai Producers: Karthikeyan Santhanam, Alankar Pandian Release Date: April 26, 2024 Vishal, the action hero, collaborates once again with mass director Hari for their hat-trick film 'Rathnam'. After the grand successes of their previous films 'Bharani' and 'Pooja', expectations were sky-high for this third installment. Priya Bhavani Shankar joins Vishal, alongside Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, and Murali Sharma in pivotal roles. Released on April 26, the big question is: How does this film stack up? Has Vishal scored another hit? Did 'Rathnam' live up to the hype? Let’s delve into this review. What's the Story? In the narrative, Rathnam (Vishal) resides at the border between Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. He adores Janani (Priya Bhavani Shankar) with all his heart. However, their life takes a perilous turn as gangsters plot to kill her. What steps does Rathnam take? How does he protect Janani from their wrath? Why are the gangsters after Janani? What finally unfolds? Explore the answers in the story. Performance Analysis As always, Vishal shines in his role, particularly excelling in the action scenes and capturing hearts in emotional moments. Priya Bhavani Shankar impresses, particularly in her intense emotional scenes with Vishal. Yogi Babu brings laughter once again with his trademark comedy. Gautam Menon, Samuthirakani, and Murali Sharma effectively bring their characters to life with strong performances. Direction? Director Hari has crafted this film with a focus on both family and mass audiences, featuring electrifying action sequences and delivering a compelling message. The first half of the film smartly introduces Vishal's character and weaves significant emotional scenes involving Priya Bhavani Shankar. However, the romantic subplot between the leads lacks depth and is more stylistically cinematic. Yogi Babu’s comedy, steeped in Tamil cultural nuances, might not fully resonate with the Telugu audience. The screenplay is somewhat weaker compared to Hari's earlier works. Nonetheless, the film is packed with elements designed to captivate Vishal's fans and mass audiences, adding a positive touch to the movie. Technical Department On the technical front, all departments have performed commendably. Notably, the music and songs by Devi Sri Prasad are standout features, enhancing the film significantly. His background score for both the emotional and action scenes greatly elevates these sequences. M. Sukumar’s cinematographer is engaging, and T.S. Jai’s editing is solid. The production values are high, ensuring a quality cinematic experience. Plus Points: Vishal's compelling actingThrilling action sequencesCaptivating music Minus Points: Lack of substantial content in the storyLackluster screenplay Rating from Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5

Tollywood Top Experimental Movies: Must-Watch Telugu Experimental Films for a Thrilling Experience!
Tollywood Top Experimental Movies: Must-Watch Telugu Experimental Films for a Thrilling Experience!
Tollywood has seen hundreds of films to date, with some becoming super hits and others facing failure. However, certain films (Telugu Experimental Movies With Unique Concept) offered a unique experience to the audience regardless of their box office outcome, introducing something new to viewers accustomed to routine cinema. These films proved that audiences embrace experimental films with the right content. Let's dive into these movies and their uniqueness. Jamba Lakidi Pamba 'Jamba Lakidi Pamba' can be considered a trendsetter in Telugu cinema. Directed by EVV Satyanarayana, this film explores what happens when men transform into women, creating a sensation at the time of its release. Even today, audiences enjoy watching clips of this film on YouTube. Aditya 369 'Aditya 369' is a memorable film in Nandamuri Balakrishna's career and the first time-travel movie in Telugu cinema, a concept previously seen only in Hollywood. Director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao crafted the story to fit our context, tying it to the era of Sri Krishnadevaraya and achieving great success with the time-travel concept. Nani The film 'Nani' (2004), directed by S.J. Surya with Mahesh Babu as the lead, presented a novel concept. It tells the story of a boy transformed into a 28-year-old by a scientist and involves unique elements like working in a company and falling in love with the owner's daughter. The film's ending, where he chooses to return to his childhood, offered a fresh experience to the audience. Dasavathaaram Dual roles by a hero are common, and there have been instances of triple roles too. However, 'Dasavathaaram', featuring Kamal Haasan, is unique for having the hero play ten distinct roles. Directed by K.S. Ravikumar left everyone in awe of Kamal Haasan's acting prowess. Dongala Mutha 'Dongala Mutha', directed by Ram Gopal Varma and starring Ravi Teja, is notable for being shot in just five days with only seven actors (Ravi Teja, Charmme Kaur, Prakash Raj, Lakshmi Manchu, Brahmanandam, Subbaraju, Supreeth Reddy) without any of them taking a single rupee until its theatrical release. It was shot using Canon 5D cameras, adding another special aspect to its production. Eega Directed by SS Rajamouli, 'Eega' created a sensation in Tollywood by proving that a film (Telugu Experimental Movies With Unique Concept) doesn't need a star hero to succeed; even a small fly can lead to a massive hit. Rajamouli used Hollywood-level technicians to deliver an exceptional visual treat. Mithunam 'Mithunam' is a film adaptation provided by actor Tanikella Bharani of a short story written 25 years ago, featuring only two characters throughout. It explores the life of elderly parents after their children settle abroad. The Film Federation of India's recommendation for this film as India's entry for the Oscars is noteworthy. Anukokunda Oka Roju Released in 2005, this film also brought a unique storyline. It revolves around Sahasra (Charmme), who inadvertently attends a night party, unknowingly consumes drugs, and experiences bizarre events. One day goes missing from her life, and as she tries to uncover what happened, she faces assassination attempts. The connection of these attacks to superstitions forms the crux of the story, keeping viewers engaged throughout. Awe! 'Awe!' stands out as a unique film in Tollywood. Directed by Prasanth Varma of Hanu Man fame, it tells the story of Kali, a girl suffering from multiple personality disorder, who creates characters for each of her feelings. The story unfolds as she tries to express her emotions through these characters. Manam Featuring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, and Naga Chaitanya, 'Manam' is directed by Vikram Kumar. This film was the first of its kind in Telugu cinema and keeps the audience

Story Sagar Varma (Naga Chaitanya) is a journalist working as the chief editor of a newly launched newspaper. One day, he finds a newspaper cutting at a Dhaba predicting the death of a pet dog in a car accident. A scene with Brahmanandam's son, Raja Gautam, is particularly surprising. Direction Vikram K Kumar's directorial skills are evident in this series. The storyline of 'Dhootha' doesn't become clear until a few episodes in, but the director keeps the audience engaged without any dull moments. He uses small twists and turns to maintain interest. The director also throws some light on media-related issues, showing how journalists are becoming pawns in the hands of political leaders. He skillfully portrays the good and bad in journalism, politics, and police systems. However, the length of each episode, ranging from 40-50 minutes, may feel dragged. Overall, Vikram K Kumar's direction receives good marks. Technically 'Dhootha' is technically superior. Mikolaj Zaigul's cinematography is commendable, especially in the scenes shot in the rain. The background score is also pleasing without any jarring sounds, complementing the narrative well. The production values are high. Gopichand Bhimaa Review: Gopichand cracks this time?
Gopichand Bhimaa Review: Gopichand cracks this time?
Cast: Gopichand, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Malavika Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu, Nassar, Naresh, Mukesh Tiwari, Poorna, Rohini, Chammak Chandra, and others. Director: A. Harsha Music: Ravi Basrur Cinematography: Swamy J. Gowda Production Company: Sri Sathya Sai Arts Producer: K.K. Radhamohan The action entertainer 'Bhimaa,' featuring macho hero Gopichand, is directed by Kannada filmmaker A. Harsha under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Arts by K.K. Radhamohan. Young heroines Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malavika Sharma co-starred in the movie. The teaser, trailer, and promotional posters have already heightened expectations for the film. Released globally on March 8, as a Maha Shivaratri special, does 'Bhimaa' bring relief to Gopichand, who has been seeking a hit for years? Did Gopichand impress in his police avatar? Plot The story of 'Bhimaa' revolves around the Parashurama Kshetra temple, situated in the vicinity of Bangalore and Badami, where unexpected incidents occur. How does the police officer Bhimaa (Gopichand) solve them? What is his connection to parashurama Kshetra? How are the roles of heroines Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malavika Sharma integrated into the story? How does the love track between Priya Bhavani and Gopichand begin? Performance In this out-and-out action movie 'Bhimaa,' Gopichand delivers a stellar performance. As a police officer, his dialogue delivery, attitude, and body language are commendable. It seems like Gopichand has finally received a role that suits his persona after a long time. He appears in dual roles, mesmerizing the audience with variations fitting the character. The heroines Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malavika Sharma have significant roles, with Priya Bhavani's chemistry with Gopichand being particularly captivating on screen. Naresh, Vennela Kishore, and Chammak Chandra bring laughter, while Nassar, Mukesh Tiwari, and Rohini, among others, deliver commendable performances within their roles. Direction Director A. Harsha, who is also a choreographer, has provided a fresh presentation of Gopichand in 'Bhimaa.' Having delivered numerous hit films in Kannada, Harsha successfully showcases Gopichand in a different light. The story woven around Parashurama Kshetra feels novel. Harsha has brought out Gopichand's acting prowess in a dual role, one of which is a surprise element. He has excellently crafted each action sequence to be impactful. The special effects department also contributed well to the film's success, with the interval bang and climax adding great value. However, the second half feels somewhat routine, with certain scenes lacking logical coherence. Technically On the technical front, Ravi Basrur's music is a highlight, especially his background score, which elevates the action sequences. Swamy J. Gowda's cinematography is praiseworthy. The editing could have been tighter to enhance the pacing. The production values are high, showing no compromise on the budget. Positive Points: - Gopichand's performance - Action sequences - Background music Negative Points: - Dragged scenes - Editing Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5 Click Here For Telugu Review

Vidudhala Part 1 Movie Review: NTR's Director Vetrimaran presents "Vidudhala" - Will it captivate the audiences?
Vidudhala Part 1 Movie Review: NTR's Director Vetrimaran presents "Vidudhala" - Will it captivate the audiences?
Cast: Suri, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sree, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon Director: Vetrimaran Music: Ilaiyaraaja Cinematography: R. Velraj Editing: Ramar Producer: Elred Kumar Director Vetrimaran is well-known in the Tamil film industry for giving more importance to the story than the heroes. His movies like Visaranai, Vada Chennai, and Asuran have garnered many national awards and have showcased his talent. The film "Asuran" created a sensation in Tamil and later became a hit in Telugu as "Narappa." Now, Vetrimaran's latest film "Vidudhala Part 1" has been released in Telugu. With Vetrimaran's name attached, the expectations for the film have grown significantly. So, will "Vidudhala" enthrall the Telugu audience? Has Vetrimaran delivered another hit? Let's find out. Plot: Kumareshan (Suri) joins as a police constable and becomes a driver in the police squad, which is tasked with capturing the people's leader Perumal (Vijay Sethupathi). Kumareshan believes that the police's duty is to protect the public from harm. Meanwhile a bear attacks a woman in a forest and to save her, Kumareshan defies his superiors and uses the police jeep. Later, Kumareshan befriends the injured woman's granddaughter (Bhavani Sree), and their friendship gradually turns into love. The story revolves around Kumareshan's struggles as he juggles between love and his mission to capture Perumal. Performances: Director Vetrimaran's success in selecting actors suitable for their roles must be acknowledged. Suri and Bhavani Sree's performances captivate the audience in this film. Suri as Kumaresan was convincing and Bhavani as an innocent girl nailed the role. Chetan is convincing as the ruthless police officer, while Vijay Sethupathi, although only appearing for a short time as Perumal, leaves a mark with his performance. Gautam Menon, Rajeev Menon, and others have performed to their limits. Technically: In Part 1 of the film's release, director Vetrimaran introduced a new world. The portrayal of the forest and the police setup is quite natural in his unique style. However, the film falls short in terms of conflict and drama. Some situations feel dragged out. The efforts of the police to catch the gang, the common people getting caught in the crossfire, is something we've seen in many Telugu films. The repetition of these scenarios in this film makes it somewhat boring. The romantic scenes between Kumareshan and Paap also feel routine. On the other hand, the cinematography is good, and the production values are high. Plus Points: Performances Cinematography Climactic sequences Minus Points: Lack of conflict in the story Dragged out situations Rating: 2.5/5

Masthu Shades Unnai Ra Movie Review: Abhinav Casts Magic as a Hero.
Masthu Shades Unnai Ra Movie Review: Abhinav Casts Magic as a Hero.
Cast: Abhinav Gomatam, Vaishali, Raj Muyin, Ali Reza Director: Tirupati Rao Music: Sanjeev Thomas Cinematography: Siddhartha Swayambhu Producers: RM Reddy, Prashant V, Bhavani Kasu Release Date: 23-02-2023 The film "Masthu Shades Unnai Ra!", featuring comedian Abhinav Gomatam in the lead role, is directed by Tirupati Rao. Alongside Ali Reza and Vaishali in significant roles, the film is produced jointly by Bhavani Kasu, RM Reddy, and Prashant V. Presented as a comedy entertainer, this movie hit the screens today (February 23). So, how is the movie? Did Abhinav Gomatam impress as the protagonist? Let's find out. Plot Manohar (Abhinav Gomatam) is a simple painter whose life hasn't settled down, leading his prospective bride to abandon him at the altar. Determined to change his fortunes, Manohar decides to learn Photoshop and start his flex designing unit. In this journey, he crosses paths with Umadevi (Vaishali Raj). How did the penniless Manohar achieve success in this journey? What problems did he face from Rahul (Ali Reza), and how did he overcome them? That forms the crux of the story. Performance  Abhinav Gomatam, recognized for his comedic role in "Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi", has showcased his versatility as a lead actor in this film. He captivated with his natural performance, excelling in both comedic timing and emotional scenes, proving his mettle as a complete actor. Vaishali Raj, the female lead, did an adequate job, although her role didn't offer much scope for performance. Ali Reza, known from Bigg Boss fame, managed to attract attention with his acting. The rest of the cast performed well within their roles' limitations. Direction Director Tirupati Rao chose a promising story. His homework on the story is apparent and adds value. However, the screenplay faltered, especially in the first half, filled with unnecessary scenes, delaying the story's progression. Nevertheless, a twist at the interval built curiosity among the audience. The real story begins in the second half, which is much more enjoyable than the first. The director managed the main sequences well, generating good humor. The second half's engaging narrative somewhat salvaged the film. Technical Aspects On the technical front, the film's execution felt subpar. The music by Sanjeev Thomas failed to captivate. Siddhartha Swayambhu's cinematography was merely satisfactory. The editing needed more precision. Better production values could have enhanced the overall output. Positive Points - Abhinav's acting - Comedy - Second half's engagement Negative Points - First half's drag - Unnecessary scenes - Technical department's performance Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5
