Movies Releasing in Theaters Committee Kurrollu Produced by Niharika Konidela, the latest film 'Committee Kurrollu' features Sandeep Saroj, Yashwant Pendyal, Eshwar Rachiraju, Trinath Varma, and Prasad Behara in lead roles, with Sai Kumar and Goparaju Ramana in supporting roles. Directed by Yadu Vamshi, the film is set to hit theaters on August 9. The film team has indicated that the movie contains many elements that will appeal to the youth. Simbaa Featuring Jagapathi Babu and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key roles, the film 'Simbaa', directed by Muralee Manohar, is a supernatural crime thriller. The movie, releasing in theaters on the same day, promises to show the dire consequences of environmental destruction. Toofan Starring 'Bichagadu' fame Vijay Antony and directed by Vijay Milton, 'Toofan' also stars veteran actor Sathyaraj in a significant role. The film, jointly produced by Kamal Bora, D. Lalith, B. Pradeep, and Pankaj Bora, was originally slated for release on August 2 but was postponed to this week due to unavoidable reasons. The film is now set to debut on August 9. Bhavanam Starring Saptagiri, Dhanraj, Shakalaka Shankar, Ajay, Malavika Satheesan, and Sneha Ullal, 'Bhavanam' is directed by Balachari Kurella. The film, releasing this week on August 9, is produced under the banner of Super Good Films by R.B. Choudary, Wakada Anjan Kumar, and Veerendra Seervi. It combines suspense and entertainment in equal measure, according to the film's crew. Movies and Web Series Releasing on OTT Bharateeyudu 2 The Kamal Haasan and Director Shankar's combo 'Bharateeyudu 2' is making its way to OTT this week. It will start streaming on Netflix from August 9 and will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Kalki 2898 AD Directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas, the film "Kalki 2898 AD" has achieved massive box office success, grossing over ₹1200 crores. This film, recently released in theaters, has been successful and well-received. It started streaming on Amazon Prime from August 23. The plot follows Raayan (Dhanush), who lives with his two brothers and sister. His elder brother Muthuvel (Sundeep Kishan) frequently gets into trouble. When a local rowdy named Dorai unexpectedly dies, another rowdy, Seetharam, targets Raayan. Who killed Dorai? What happened to Raayan's brothers? Grrr Starring prominent Malayalam actors Kunchacko Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu, "Grrr" is a survival comedy drama directed by Jay K. Released on June 14 in Malayalam, it has been performing decently at the box office. Now, it is streaming in Malayalam along with Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada on Disney+ Hotstar from August 20. The plot involves Regimen Nadar (Kunchacko Boban), who, distressed by his girlfriend’s departure, drunkenly jumps over a fence into a lion’s den. Zoo worker Haridas Nair (Suraj Venjaramoodu) attempts to rescue him, getting trapped himself. What efforts did the police and zoo officials make to save them? How did they escape the lion’s clutches? Viraaji Varun Sandesh's latest attempt, "Viraaji," directed by Aadyant Harsh, hit theaters on the 2nd of this month and has already hit OTT platforms. It started streaming on Aha from August 22. The plot revolves around ten individuals from various professions who arrive at a dilapidated mansion for different reasons, realizing they have been lured into a trap. Two try to escape and are gruesomely murdered. Meanwhile, Andy (Varun Sandesh), addicted to drugs, arrives at the mansion. What unfolds with Andy’s arrival? Who lured them to the mansion? Did they all safely escape? Toofan Starring Vijay Antony of "Bichagadu" fame, "Toofan" was released in Telugu on August 9 and quickly made its way to Amazon Prime. The Tamil version had already been available on OTT the previous week. Starting from August 23, the Telugu version is also streaming. The plot follows Saleem (Vijay Antony), an Indian secret agency agent who travels to the Andaman Islands for solitude. Veeranjaneyulu Vihara Yatra Along with the above-mentioned films, other interesting movies released last week are also available on OTT. "Veeranjaneyulu Vihara Yatra," a family entertainer, started streaming on ETV Win from August 14. If you haven’t watched it yet, this weekend might be a perfect time.
