Chiranjeevi & Balakrishna Set for Epic Multi-Starrer: Boyapati Srinu Takes on the Challenge!
In Tollywood, legendary heroes like Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are always in the forefront. Having entertained millions of fans over five decades, they continue to engage their audience energetically even past the age of 60. Recently, at a film industry event marking Balakrishna's 50 years in cinema, Chiranjeevi mentioned their upcoming multi-starrer. Director Boyapati Srinu has been challenged to craft the story, and he recently made some exciting comments about this Chiru-Balayya project, sending fans into a frenzy.
‘Without a Story, It’s a Waste’
Fans are eagerly awaiting the Chiranjeevi-Balakrishna multi-starrer. Both actors have openly declared their readiness to proceed if the script is ready, generating anticipation for the director who will utilize this opportunity. Especially since Megastar Chiranjeevi named Boyapati, expectations for this multi-starrer project are high. Recently, Boyapati commented on the project during an award function related to a channel, stating, "It would be a waste if I don't write a story for Chiru and Balayya, who are the title of my movie." This video is going viral.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1847303422111801807
Why Boyapati?
Many directors attended Balakrishna's Golden Jubilee celebrations, but Chiranjeevi specifically mentioned Boyapati Srinu, who is known as the go-to director for action films. With blockbuster films like ‘Simha’, ‘Legend’, and ‘Akhanda’ with senior actor Balakrishna, Boyapati is considered the best choice for handling this grand multi-starrer project. Analysts believe that Chiranjeevi might have strongly suggested Boyapati with a challenge in mind. At the same time, senior director Y.V.S. Chowdary and other writers are also suggested indirectly by Chiru to seize this opportunity.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1830519890249421017
Is it a Guaranteed Mass Story?
Boyapati Srinu knows the pulse of the mass audience well. Both Chiru and Balayya have a huge following among mass audiences. Films like ‘Gang Leader’, ‘Mutha Mestri’ by Chiru, and faction films like ‘Samarasimha Reddy’, ‘Chennakesava Reddy’, and ‘Narasimha Naidu’ by Balayya have been massive hits in C centers. When such heroes come together, the level of the story can be imagined. Sources close to the development suggest that Boyapati is preparing a strong mass story that will present Chiru and Balayya like never before.
Boyapati Competes with Y.V.S. Chowdary!
Based on films like ‘Indra’ and ‘Samarasimha Reddy’, director Y.V.S. Chowdary is ready to write roles for Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. Recently, there has been significant buzz about his initiatives in this direction. Chowdary, a die-hard fan of the Nandamuri family and having a strong connection with them, has previously made films with Balayya and Harikrishna. However, after being away from the industry for a while, he has announced a new project aiming to bring back Chiru and Balayya together with his story. It remains to be seen whose story will finally be chosen between Chiru and Balayya.
‘Akhanda 2’ to Come First
In Tollywood, the combo of Balakrishna (Balakrishna) and director Boyapati Srinu (Boyapati Srinu) is well-known for hit films like ‘Simha’ (Simha), ‘Legend’ (Legend), and ‘Akhanda’ (Akhanda). They are now ready to start their fourth project together, recently announced under the title ‘Akhanda 2’. The pooja ceremonies for this movie took place grandly in Hyderabad, attended by Balakrishna's daughters Nara Brahmani (Nara Brahmani), Tejaswini (Tejaswini), and other family members. However, even if Boyapati finalizes the Chiru-Balayya multi-starrer, it will only move to the sets after completing ‘Akhanda 2’.

Chiranjeevi - Balakrishna: Director Accepts Chiranjeevi's Challenge to Make a Multi-Starrer with Balakrishna?
Tollywood's leading actor, Nandamuri Balakrishna, has completed 50 years in the film industry. In this context, the grand NBK 50 Years Celebrations event was held on Sunday (September 1). Film and political dignitaries attended the event to reminisce about their connections with Balakrishna and his acting career. Megastar Chiranjeevi, who was the chief guest, made some intriguing comments at the event and offered a bumper offer to director Boyapati and other scriptwriters. This has now become a hot topic in Tollywood.
Green Light for a Multi-Starrer with Balayya
At Balakrishna's golden jubilee celebrations, Megastar Chiranjeevi made some exciting comments. He expressed his pleasure in participating in Balayya's 50-year celebration, emphasizing that it was not only a celebration for Balakrishna but for the entire Telugu film industry. He praised Balakrishna as a synonym for faction movies in the industry. Chiru mentioned that Balakrishna inspired him to make the movie 'Indra'. He said if any director or writer comes up with a good story involving characters like Indrasena Reddy and Samarasimha Reddy, he would be ready to act. Promptly, Balakrishna also agreed by saying "double okay" when Chiru asked "Are you ready?" Specifically pointing to director Boyapati Srinu, Chiru challenged him to come up with a story, and also mentioned YVS Chowdary's name in this context.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1830519890249421017
Why Boyapati?
Many directors attended Balakrishna's golden jubilee event from the industry, but Chiru specifically mentioned Boyapati Srinu for a strong reason. Among current directors, Boyapati is known as a caretaker of action films and has directed blockbuster films with senior actor Balakrishna such as 'Simha', 'Legend', and 'Akhanda'. Chiru might believe that only Boyapati could do justice to such a massive multi-starrer, which is why he specifically called out "Oi Boyapati.. Challenge" suggesting that analysts believe Chiru anticipated Boyapati could handle this project. At the same time, senior director YVS Chowdary and other scriptwriters were also indirectly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
YVS Chowdary Steps into the Arena?
It's known that director and producer YVS Chowdary has come forward ready to write roles for Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna, taking inspiration from movies like 'Indra' and 'Samarasimha Reddy'. Efforts in this direction have already started within the industry. YVS Chowdary, a die-hard fan of the Nandamuri family, has a strong connection with them and has directed films with Balakrishna and Harikrishna in the past. Though he had been away from the industry for some time, he has recently announced a new project. If he manages to convince Chiru and Balayya with his story, it could lead to a never-before-seen multi-starrer in Tollywood.
Chiru's Crazy Comments on Fan Wars
With the recent increase in fan wars on social media, Chiru made interesting comments at Balakrishna’s golden jubilee event. "Fans often fight, but events like these show the strong bonds between heroes. That’s why our fans also stay united. Balakrishna always attends our family functions and even dances with us. The honor of acting as a hero for 50 years is Balakrishna’s own. I pray to God that he continues to bless Balakrishna with the strength to entertain us for 100 years in good health," said the Megastar.

HBD Chiranjeevi: Special on Chiru’s Birthday.. Do you know about the events that made him a Megastar?
Megastar Chiranjeevi's birthday is celebrated like a festival by his fans. Even celebrities extend their wishes on this occasion. However, Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad, who became Megastar Chiranjeevi, did not reach the heights of fame effortlessly. He faced numerous obstacles and challenges throughout his journey, eventually earning a special place in the hearts of the audience as the Megastar. Today (August 22), on his birthday, let's look at the events and factors that elevated him to such a high status.
The Incident That Fueled Chiru’s Determination
Before entering the industry, Chiranjeevi lived in Madras with Hari Prasad and Sudhakar. They used to watch previews of movies distributed by Poornachandra Pictures and would give their ratings. On one such occasion, they sat in the front row to watch a movie. However, the hero of the movie, along with the driver and makeup man, came in and forcibly took their seats. Chiranjeevi and his team had no choice but to stand and watch the movie. When the wife of the company’s head asked, “How was the movie?” Chiru responded in anger, “Aunty, we came as your guests, but that hero made us stand by the door. We endured it because we didn’t want to cause trouble for you. If I don’t become the number one hero in this industry, you can ask me why!” True to his word, he reached that level.
From Small Roles to Hero Status
Chiranjeevi entered Tollywood in 1978. After many attempts, he got his first opportunity in the movie 'Punadi Rallu.' Interestingly, the film 'Pranam Khareedu,' in which he acted later, was released first. This film introduced him to the audience. While he was trying to establish himself as a hero, some people demanded that he play small roles in other heroes’ films. In one instance, Chiru mentioned that he acted in those roles, hoping the time would come when he could prove himself. He conveyed that despite the obstacles, one could reach their goal by staying positive.
The Reason Behind Chiru’s Mesmerizing Dance
In the early days of his career, Chiranjeevi’s dance was not exceptional. After completing a song shoot, he asked his manager how his performance was. The manager replied, “What’s there in it? You just did what the dancers behind you did. You need to show your uniqueness.” From then on, Chiru started going beyond what the choreographers instructed, captivating audiences with his extra effort. Chiranjeevi also once mentioned that film critic Gudipoodi Srihari played a role in helping him improve his acting.
From Reviewer to Padma Vibhushan
Megastar Chiranjeevi stays as far away from negativity as possible, which is why he always appears energetic. He strongly believes that listening to failure stories can lead to discouragement. He credits his immense self-confidence as the key to his success. Starting his career as a reviewer, he went on to receive the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions to the film industry. Notably, he had already received the Padma Bhushan before this.
Supporting Young Heroes
Megastar Chiranjeevi is always at the forefront of encouraging newcomers. No matter how busy he is, he attends events for young heroes if invited. Speaking on this once, he said, “I don’t feel proud of this. When I entered the industry, I wished someone would encourage me. Now, when small heroes come to me and invite me, I see myself in them. I pat them on the back and encourage them as much as I can.”
As the Darling Child of Art
Chiranjeevi frequently responds to the issues in the industry and the struggles of film workers, offering help to the best of his ability. When some people called him the "Big Support" of the Telugu film industry, Chiru humbly denied it, saying, “I am just the darling child of art, not something big.”
Leading in Charitable Activities
Among Telugu heroes actively participating in charitable activities, Megastar Chiranjeevi stands out. Through the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, he has brought light into many lives and continues to extend a helping hand to those in need. In his four-decade-long acting career, he has garnered millions of fans and won several awards, including three Nandi Awards for Best Actor. Currently, he is busy with his 156th film, ‘Vishwambhara,’ directed by Vashishta, set to release on January 10 next year.

ANR Centennial: Chiranjeevi Reflects on Past Conflict with Mohan Babu as He Receives National Award
The centennial celebrations of Akkineni Nageswara Rao were held grandly on Monday at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The event was attended by numerous celebrities including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Ram Charan, and Naga Chaitanya. During the event, Chiranjeevi was honored with the 'ANR National Award'. The award was presented to him by Amitabh Bachchan. Subsequently, Chiranjeevi reminisced about a past dispute with Mohan Babu during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
What Happened?
In 2007, during the 75th anniversary of the Telugu film industry, the Tollywood community celebrated the Diamond Jubilee event where it was decided to honor Megastar Chiru with a Legendary Award. Actor Mohan Babu made some sharp comments about this. He mentioned that some came to honor him as a celebrity, not as a legend, and suggested, "Write a book defining what a legend is and what a celebrity is and then give awards. Am I not a legend for being the first actor from the industry to serve in Rajya Sabha, for educating 25% of poor students for free, for acting in more than 500 films, and producing 45 films?"
https://twitter.com/lyf_a_zindagii/status/1850924373890552313
What did Chiru say?
Reacting to Mohan Babu's questioning, Chiranjeevi responded strongly. "There are Rama Rao, Raghavendra Rao, Bapu, Vishwanath, and Dasari Narayana Rao; they are the legends. Give the award to them. My peers like Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, and I are of the same age. Don’t separate me from them by giving me this award. I’ve said before that I don’t want the Legendary Award. However, some objected when I was about to receive it. If I am deemed unworthy, I will not accept the award. I will surrender it in a box and will only take it when I am deemed worthy. By the time of the 100-year celebrations, if I become a legend along with Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Pawan Kalyan, and Mahesh Babu, I will accept it. Until then, I bury that award," he stated during the Diamond Jubilee celebration.
What did Chiru say at the ANR event?
At the prestigious ANR National Award ceremony, Megastar Chiranjeevi received the award. Recalling the Diamond Jubilee event, he expressed, "If I consider the Telugu film industry my home, then the opportunity to win came in 2007. I was very happy that everyone agreed to honor me with the Legendary Award. However, due to some adversities, I felt it was not the right time to accept it. I decided to keep the award in a box until I felt worthy. Today, receiving the great ANR award, particularly from Amitabh Bachchan and with my friend Nagarjuna welcoming me wholeheartedly, I feel like I have truly won at home."
https://twitter.com/i/status/1850904660875288817
‘I was shivering at those words’
Chiranjeevi made interesting remarks about Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, who presented the award. He noted that whenever something good happens or he receives an award, the first congratulations come from Amitabh. Recalling the Padma Vibhushan award, Chiranjeevi mentioned, "When I received the Padma Vibhushan, Amitabh called me the 'King of Indian Cinema,' which made me shiver. But it filled my heart with immense joy. When I approached him for the role of my mentor in the movie 'Sye Raa,' he immediately agreed without considering formalities (remuneration), saying, ‘No need for that... you are my friend.’"

Jai Hanuman: Megastar Chiranjeevi in 'Jai Hanuman'?
Teja Sajja and director Prashanth Varma's film 'Hanuman' has captivated audiences nationwide. Released across India in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, it quickly became a blockbuster hit. This Sankranthi, 'Hanuman' not only held its own against major films but also shattered box office records, generating significant profits for its producers. The success of the film has naturally led to heightened expectations for its sequel. Recently, buzz has emerged around 'Hanuman 2', with rumors circulating in Tollywood that Megastar Chiranjeevi may join this highly anticipated project.
Contacts with the Megastar!
As hinted in the climax of the first part, 'Hanuman' will have a sequel. The script work for this movie is nearly complete. It is understood that director Prashanth Varma wishes to cast Megastar Chiranjeevi for the role of Hanuman, believing that only he can do justice to the character given its importance in the sequel. Alternatively, there are strong efforts to cast Ram Charan for the same role. As per sources efforts have started, strengthening the buzz that either Chiranjeevi or Ram Charan might be enacting as Hanuman. Producer Chaitanya Reddy's recent comments have further fueled this speculation, suggesting that if either Chiru or Charan agrees, expectations for 'Hanuman 2' will sky-rocket.
Will 'Jai Hanuman' Take Time to Start?
It appears that 'Jai Hanuman' might take more time to kick off. Director Prashanth Varma is recently reported to be starting a film with Nandamuri Balakrishna's son, Mokshagna Teja. Mokshagna, who was on the heavier side, has recently slimmed down and undergone a handsome makeover, sparking rumors that their film will soon go on floors. Given this, it's likely that Prashanth Varma will focus on 'Jai Hanuman' after completing his project with Mokshagna. Meanwhile, Megastar Chiranjeevi is busy shooting 'Vishwambhara' aimed for a Sankranthi release. On the other hand, Ram Charan is acting in 'Game Changer' and has also given a green signal to star in a film directed by 'Uppena' fame Buchi Babu. This may further delay the shooting for 'Jai Hanuman'.
Mokshagna's Video Goes Viral
There have long been rumors about Nandamuri Balakrishna's son Mokshagna entering the film industry. Balakrishna has mentioned at several movie events that his son will join the film industry. Previously, there were negative comments about Mokshagna not being suitable for a hero. However, recent stylish photos of Mokshagna have surprised fans and netizens. A recent video of a photoshoot featuring Mokshagna in a yellow shirt has gone viral. The video has been extensively shared by Nandamuri fans, making it a trending topic online.

'Kantara' Star Rishab Shetty Beats Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan to Become Lord Hanuman in 'HanuMan' Sequel?
Tollywood star director Prasanth Varma's highly anticipated film "Jai Hanuman" has just shared an exciting update. After much speculation about who would play Hanuman, the filmmakers have finally revealed that Kannada star hero Rishab Shetty will portray the role. The first look poster featuring Rishab Shetty as a powerful Hanuman holding a statue of Lord Rama has ignited immense interest among fans.
The previous film "Hanuman" by young hero Teja Sajja and director Prasanth Varma shook the entire nation. Released pan-India in languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, it became a blockbuster hit. This film, a festive release for Sankranti, outperformed major films and set new box office records, leading to high expectations for its sequel "Jai Hanuman." This has intensified the efforts to cast a notable actor for Hanuman's role in the sequel, keeping the audience in suspense.
Initially, there were rumors that either Chiranjeevi or Ram Charan might play Hanuman, especially after the director hinted at the sequel's direction in the ending of "Hanuman." Reports were that Prasanth Varma had discussions with Yash of KGF fame, but due to his busy schedule with "Toxic" shooting, that combination did not materialize. However, last month Prasanth Varma met with Rishab Shetty and shared the story, sparking his interest in the project. This led to the official announcement of Rishab Shetty taking on the role, further raising expectations. Mythri Movie Makers are producing this big-budget film, and regular shooting will start soon.
Why Was Rishab Shetty Chosen?
Rishab Shetty, as a hero and director of the Kannada film "Kantara," demonstrated his capability on a national level, creating a box office tsunami. Before "Kantara," Rishab Shetty was primarily known in the Kannada industry, but now he's recognized nationwide and even received a national award for best actor. He is currently working on "Kantara Chapter 1," a prequel, in collaboration with a renowned Hollywood VFX company that has worked on successful films like "The Chronicles of Narnia," "The Lion King," and "Batman." This collaboration is expected to bring a new energy to "Jai Hanuman," aligning well with his rising popularity and the pan-India goals of the film.
New Project "Maha Kali"
On another note, director Prasanth Varma's "Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe" (PVCU) has just announced its third project, titled "Maha Kali" (MAHAKALI). The first look poster released by the makers indicates that this film will be the first female superhero movie in the Indian cinema landscape, directed by Pooja Aparna Kolluru. Produced under the RKD Studios banner by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal, this project adds new strength to our universe. Prasanth Varma’s post hints that Kali Devi will incarnate to battle formidable evil, promising to redefine what superheroes can be.

Ram Charan’s 'Game Changer' to Clash with Chiranjeevi’s 'Vishwambhara' This Sankranti?!
Ram Charan, in collaboration with director Shankar, is shaping up a Pan-India film titled 'Game Changer'. This is Ram Charan's first project after the colossal success of 'RRR', setting high expectations. The movie, being developed as a political action thriller, is produced by Tollywood producer Dil Raju. Mega fans are eagerly anticipating its release, scheduled as a Christmas treat. However, there’s a strong buzz that the film might also contend in the Sankranti race, sparking interest on whether it will pose a strong competition to Chiranjeevi's own film already slated for Pongal.
From Christmas to Sankranti Lock-in!
Sankranti is a major festival in the Telugu states, a popular release window for big-star films. Alongside this, Megastar Chiranjeevi has also locked his upcoming film 'Vishwambhara' for the Pongal race. Following this, there are talks within film circles that Ram Charan’s latest 'Game Changer' may also target a Sankranti release. Given the ongoing post-production work, a Christmas release might not be feasible, hence the makers are considering a shift to Sankranti to optimize returns, setting the stage for a potential box office clash between Chiru and Charan.
Is Distributor Pressure the Cause?
The shift of 'Game Changer' from December to Sankranti is reportedly due to distributor pressure. Distributors believe that moving this high-budget film to Sankranti would be more profitable than a Christmas release, as releasing during the Christmas period might not be as lucrative. Additionally, the concern is that with movies releasing around January 10 for Sankranti, missing this window could potentially result in a loss of long-period collections, as the film would only have a 20-day run to make a substantial impact.
Will Chiru Step Back?
Although father and son, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan have yet to clash at the box office. If 'Vishwambhara' versus 'Game Changer' happens, it might send mixed signals to the fans, creating a dilemma on which movie to support during the release. Film circles speculate that Chiranjeevi might consider postponing 'Vishwambhara' to avoid a direct clash for his son’s sake, especially given the ongoing uncertainty over 'Game Changer’s' release date. Producer Dil Raju and music director Thaman have initially promoted the film for a Christmas release, yet the fans remain skeptical, now with heightened promotions pointing towards a Sankranti release. Missing the Sankranti window could deeply dissatisfied Mega fans, pressing the makers to lock the date for the festival.
Charan Says No to Reshoots!
Ram Charan has recently completed shooting for 'Game Changer' and shifted his focus to his next film under Buchibabu’s direction, ‘RC16’, adopting a new long-haired look and physique. However, recent reports suggest director Shankar was dissatisfied with some scenes from 'Game Changer', considering reshoots with Charan. When this was brought to Charan’s attention by producer Dil Raju, he declined, fearing it would delay his ongoing project 'RC16', for which dates were already committed.
Charan-Neel Combo Loading!
Another exciting project is brewing for Ram Charan with Prashanth Neel, known for delivering blockbusters like 'KGF' and 'Salaar'. Discussions have reportedly concluded for this venture, which DVV Danayya is expected to produce. However, this project might take time to commence, as Neel is currently occupied with 'NTR 31', 'Salaar 2', and 'KGF 3'. Charan also has upcoming commitments with directors Buchibabu and Sukumar, only after which the Charan-Neel movie might take off.

Recently, some exciting updates about 'Spirit' have been revealed.
Megastar Chiranjeevi's Special Appearance!
There is strong speculation that Megastar Chiranjeevi might appear in a special role in the movie 'Spirit'. Reports suggest that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been in talks with Chiranjeevi, and if he agrees, it would significantly heightened expectations for 'Spirit'. Additionally, there is buzz that Malayalam superstar Mammootty will also play a crucial role in the film, which is said to be pivotal to the storyline. Official announcements from the production team are awaited. The movie is also rumored to feature Bollywood couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in roles with negative shades, and there are whispers that Korean and Chinese stars might join the cast as well.
When Does Shooting Start?
Pre-production work for 'Spirit' is currently in full swing, and initial plans by Sandeep Reddy Vanga aim to start shooting from November. However, Prabhas is currently busy with other projects like 'Raja Saab' and 'Fauji', which are also under production. With these projects scheduled, the new plan is to start shooting for 'Spirit' in the first week of January next year. By then, 'Raja Saab' would have wrapped up and 'Fauji' would be over 50% complete, freeing up Prabhas for 'Spirit'. Ceremonial activities for the movie are planned for early January, with regular shooting expected to begin after the festival of Sankranti.
The Shocking Budget!
'Spirit', directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas, is generating massive expectations nationwide. Everyone is eagerly waiting to see when the film will hit the floors as the pre-production is creating a buzz online. The budget for the movie is rumored to have been set at a whopping INR 1000 crores. Initially, the budget was speculated to be around INR 500 crores, later updated to INR 750 crores, and now it stands at INR 1000 crores. If true, this would make 'Spirit' the biggest movie of Prabhas' career in terms of budget.
Record Remuneration for Prabhas!
Out of the total budget for 'Spirit', about INR 600 crores is reportedly allocated for the cast's remuneration, with Prabhas alone commanding INR 300 crores due to his dual role in the film. If confirmed, this payment would make him the highest-paid Indian actor ever. In addition, Bollywood stars like Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor are also rumored to be playing special roles in the film, which justifies such a significant budget allocation for the cast.

With Megastar Chiranjeevi withdrawing his film 'Vishwambhara' from the race, producer Dil Raju has officially announced the release of 'Game Changer' as a Sankranti gift. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna’s son, Naga Chaitanya, seems ready to compete with Charan, as strong buzz suggests his latest film 'Thandel' is targeting Sankranti too.
Thandel Enters the Sankranti Race!
Starring Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, 'Thandel' is generating significant buzz in Tollywood as a romantic action drama. Following their previous blockbuster, 'Love Story', expectations are high for this duo’s second film together. Movie lovers are eagerly awaiting this release, which the makers plan to push for a Sankranti release. Initially, the producers planned to release the film on December 20, but due to pending work, a Sankranti 2025 release is now deemed more suitable, with an official announcement expected soon.
Charan Versus Chaitu
In Tollywood history, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna have clashed several times during Sankranti. This Sankranti, their heirs are set to battle it out, adding intrigue to the festive season. Following the success of RRR, Ram Charan has gained international fame, which he hopes to bolster with 'Game Changer'. On the other hand, Chaitanya is yet to secure a hit following 'Love Story'. With 'Thandel', he aims to reclaim his spot in the hit track. The repeat pairing of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in 'Thandel' is anticipated to yield positive results. It remains to be seen who will emerge victorious in this face-off.
Strong Competition from Balakrishna!
Alongside 'Game Changer' and 'Thandel', Nandamuri Balakrishna will also be a strong contender this Sankranti. Directed by Bobby, 'NBK 109' is gearing up for a festive release. Balakrishna’s films have been successful in the last two Sankranti seasons, indicating stiff competition for 'Game Changer' and 'Thandel'. Additionally, a film directed by Anil Ravipudi starring Venkatesh is also likely to release during Sankranti, along with Sundeep Kishan's 'Majaka', making this Sankranti a battleground at the box office.
The Story of 'Thandel'
'Thandel' is Naga Chaitanya’s 23rd film, with music by Devi Sri Prasad. In this film, Chaitanya plays a fisherman. The story revolves around a group of fishermen from Srikakulam who go to Veeraval in Gujarat for fishing and get caught by the Pakistani Coast Guard. The film explores the events that unfold thereafter. In Gujarati, 'Thandel' means a boat operator, a term commonly used by people in the villages along the Gujarat-Pakistan border, as revealed by director Chandu Mondeti in an interview.

The 'Mega Family' in Tollywood, known for its substantial fan base, has launched many stars under megastar Chiranjeevi. Present-day industry luminaries like Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, and Allu Arjun are all members of this illustrious family. Films from the Mega Family consistently create a buzz in Tollywood. 'The Ultimate Pan-India Release'...
Among the directors close to the Mega Family, Harish Shankar is notable. He has openly declared himself a fan of Pawan Kalyan. During the promotion of his film 'Mr. Bachchan', Harish Shankar made some significant comments in response to why he hasn't yet made a Pan-India film. He stated, "You can’t just write a story for the sake of calling it Pan-India. 'Pushpa' wasn’t made as a Pan-India film; neither was 'Kantara'. They told local stories that the Pan-India audience accepted. It should happen organically. I have been working on a line for Kalyan garu, Ram Charan, and Chiranjeevi. If made, it will be the true Pan-India film." Currently, these remarks have become the talk of Tollywood. Mega fans are eagerly posting their hopes for this film to hit the sets soon.

From Child Artist to National Award Winner: Keerthy Suresh's Inspiring Journey in Cinema
Keerthy Suresh is one of those actresses who prioritizes acting over beauty. Belonging to the Tamil industry, she has also gained significant popularity in Telugu films. Her role as Savitri in the movie 'Mahanati' was phenomenal, earning her a National Award. However, her film career has seen many interesting twists and turns. Today (October 17), on the occasion of Keerthy Suresh's birthday, let's look into some special aspects of her life.
As a Child Artist
The daughter of actors Suresh Kumar and Menaka, Keerthy Suresh sparkled as a child artist in the Malayalam film 'Pilots'. She also appeared as a child artist in the films 'Achaneyanenikkishtam' and 'Kuberan'.
Mother as Chiru’s Heroine.. Daughter as Sister
In Chiranjeevi's film 'Punnami Naagu', Keerthy's mother Menaka acted as the heroine. Recently, in the movie 'Bhola Shankar', Keerthy played the significant role of Chiranjeevi's sister. Despite the film not doing well, their performances as siblings were well-received. During the shoot in Hyderabad, Chiranjeevi mentioned during movie promotions that he ensured home-cooked meals were sent to Keerthy throughout the filming.
Stalled Projects at the Beginning
Keerthy Suresh began her career as a heroine with the film 'Geethanjali', starring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. However, even before this, she had signed three projects as a heroine, which had also started shooting. Unexpectedly, these three projects were halted midway, leading to great disappointment for her, as she mentioned in an interview.
Tagged as Iron Leg
Early in her career, the halting of three projects, and the failure of films like 'Geethanjali' and 'Ring Master' in Malayalam, and her first Tamil film 'Idhu Enna Maayam' being a disaster, Keerthy was tagged as an 'Iron Leg'. She faced significant trolling but ignored it and went on to succeed in films, establishing herself as a successful heroine.
Turning Point with Mahanati
Her first Telugu film 'Nenu Sailaja' was a success, which increased her opportunities in Tollywood and Kollywood. Despite being in commercial films, she felt unfulfilled as an actress until 'Mahanati' came along. Her portrayal of Savitri was critically acclaimed, earning her the National Award for Best Actress and becoming an inspiration to other actresses. Her career graph significantly rose after 'Mahanati'.
Series of Failures
Post-'Mahanati', it was believed that Keerthy's career would have no downturns, and she did receive a series of offers. However, subsequent films like 'Saamy Square', 'Pandem kodi 2', 'Rang De', and 'Annaatthe' failed to meet audience expectations. Her women-oriented films 'Penguin', 'Miss India', and 'Good Luck Sakhi' also failed to make an impact.
Director's Intent to Cast Keerthy
Following last year's release 'Dasara', which was a massive success, Keerthy made a strong comeback. Directed by Srikanth Odela with Nani as the hero, the film grossed over 100 crores and received widespread praise for Keerthy's performance. She excelled in the role of Vennela, a rural woman, and received awards like SIIMA and Filmfare for Best Actress. However, it was revealed during movie promotions that director Srikanth Odela initially planned to cast Keerthy as the heroine for 'Dasara' after narrating the movie story and suggested she gain 10-12 kilograms, which she couldn't. Nani mentioned that Odela decided to cast her despite her not being able to gain weight, highlighting that even though he was a debut director and she was a National Award-winning actress, they ended up becoming good friends on the movie sets.

Keerthy’s Special Talent
Not just her face, Keerthy Suresh's voice is also beautiful. Directors have capitalized on her melodious voice, having her sing beautifully the song 'Pudhu Metro Rail' in 'Saamy Square'. She also recently lent her voice to the character of Bujji Vehicle in 'Kalki 2898 AD' and proved her dancing skills with the 'Gandhaari' album.
This Year into Bollywood
Having already entertained this year with 'Siren' and 'Raghu Thatha', Keerthy is busy with upcoming projects like 'Revolver Reeta', 'Kannivedi', and 'Uppu Kappurambu'. She is set to enter Bollywood with 'Baby John'. In an instance, she mentioned that the roles of Savitri (Mahanati), Vennela (Dasara), and Kalavathi (Sarkaru Vaari Paata) were challenging in her career.
