I was in the same house with her for 3 years says Raj Tarun in response to affair allegations.
Raj Tarun is a popular young actor in Tollywood. He initially rose to fame with his debut film 'Uyyala Jampala' and gained a considerable fan base with movies like 'Cinema Choopista Mava' and 'Kumari 21F'. However, his career later suffered due to a series of poor script choices, resulting in several flops. Recently, Raj Tarun's girlfriend leveled serious accusations against him, alleging deceit and officially filing a police complaint. In response, Raj Tarun issued a strong rebuttal, making this issue a hot topic in Tollywood.
Affair with Actress
A young woman named Lavanya filed a complaint against actor Raj Tarun at the Narsingi Police Station in Hyderabad, accusing him of infidelity. She claimed that since starting their relationship in 2012, Raj Tarun had grown close to another actress during the filming of 'Thiragabadara Saami'. According to Lavanya, their relationship persisted beyond that period, and Raj Tarun verbally abused her when she confronted him. She also mentioned that she was wrongfully detained for 43 days in a drug case that did not involve her. The Narsingi police have confirmed receipt of her complaint and are investigating. Rumors are circulating that the actress Raj Tarun allegedly became involved with Malvika Malhotra, who was the lead actress in 'Thiragabadara Saami'.

It's not true: Raj Tarun
Actor Raj Tarun addressed the accusations made by his ex-girlfriend Lavanya in an interview with a media channel. He explained, "I met her while I was involved in making short films. She was kind and offered me help when I first moved to Hyderabad. We were indeed in a relationship from 2014 to 2017, but after that, we ended our relationship. I had issues with her circle of friends and her drug use. She threatened to take her story to the media if I broke up with her, so I continued to support her to protect my reputation. Now, she is blaming me for her involvement in a drug case," he emphatically clarified.

She was with another guy in my own house'
Raj Tarun leveled serious allegations against his ex-girlfriend Lavanya, claiming that during their relationship, she was involved with another man. "She maintained a relationship with another guy who she sued him for assaulting her daily. After I moved out, she lived with him in my house for some time. She even blackmailed her own father. We were never married, and it's widely known in the industry that I have no plans to marry. She is aware of this as well. Despite living in Hyderabad while she lives in Mumbai, she accuses me of cohabiting with an actress from Mumbai. How is that possible? She's fabricating these stories because she fears I will evict her from the house," Raj Tarun stated.

In this song, foreign beauty Scarlett Wilson danced alongside Pawan Kalyan, and her charm, along with his dance steps, became the songâs special attraction.

The Future of Telugu Cinema: Directors Who Could Rival S.S.Rajamouli's Success
Among India's esteemed directors, S.S. Rajamouli is distinguished by his unbroken streak of success. With films like 'RRR,' he has propelled Telugu cinema to international prominence and is currently poised to penetrate the global market with 'SSMB29,' starring Mahesh Babu. However, there are ongoing discussions among North Indian audiences about whether any Telugu directors can match Rajamouli's achievements. In response, we are giving several dynamic directors making their mark who can impact the Indian box office in a manner akin to Rajamouli. Who are these directors? Let's explore.
[toc]
Nag Ashwin
Currently, one of the most talked-about directors in Tollywood is Nag Ashwin. His upcoming film 'Kalki 2898 AD' featuring Prabhas is creating buzz at a global level. This science fiction movie, inspired by Indian mythology, is set to release worldwide on June 27. Film analysts believe that if this movie succeeds, there will be no turning back for Nag Ashwin's career. This film has the potential to elevate Tollywood to a new level and could bring immense fame to Nag Ashwin. His vision, execution, and unique promotions remind one of Rajamouliâs style.
Director Rajamouli consistently sets the standard in incorporating technology into cinema, known for world-class graphics, inventive weaponry, distinctive costumes, and extraordinary hero portrayals. Director Nag Ashwin, in a similar vein, channels Rajamouliâs innovative spirit by leveraging cutting-edge technology for 'Kalki'. The film features a specially designed vehicle named 'Bujji', used by Prabhas for his on-screen adventures. On Wednesday (May 22), a special preview of 'Bujji' was released, rapidly gaining popularity on YouTube.

The 'Bujji' special vehicle was developed in collaboration with Mahindra company, costing around 7 crores. Normally, it takes five to ten years to develop a new vehicle, but director Nag Ashwin has integrated the Mahindra team into the film to direct them according to his vision. He stated in the 'Bujji' glimpse release event that this vehicle plays an important role in the movie. He thanked the Mahindra team for their cooperation in creating the vehicle.

Sukumar
Before "Pushpa: The Rise," Sukumar was primarily recognized within Tollywood, but the film's success catapulted him to a pan-India directorial status. His direction in "Pushpa" left a strong impression, especially his transformation of the stylish Allu Arjun into a rugged character with untidy hair and a beard, perfectly matching the role's demands. Unlike Rajamouli, who is known for emphasizing the interval and climax scenes with intense action, Sukumar adopted a unique approach in "Pushpa." He designed these key scenes without violence, thereby intensifying anticipation for the second half. In the climax, Pushpa's confrontation with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil) set the stage intriguingly for the upcoming sequel.
Everyone is waiting eagerly for the sequel 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', set to release on August 15. The makers have already started promotions. If this movie is successful, Sukumarâs stature is expected to rise significantly. He has also announced that his next film will star Ram Charan. Rumors are that 'Pushpa 3' is also in the pipeline, suggesting that Sukumar could reach Rajamouli's level of popularity in the next 2-3 years.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Tollywood sensation director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has proven his mettle with the movie 'Animal'. He has earned a unique recognition by making films with different concepts and has changed the style of cinema making, similar to Rajamouli. He is currently preparing to shoot his next film with Prabhas, titled 'Spirit'.
In 'Spirit', Prabhas will appear as a police officer for the first time, and his character is expected to be very powerful. A poster related to Prabhasâs character has already been released, showing him in a different style of police uniform, reminiscent of an international cop look. Sandeep has promised that 'Spirit' will feature even stronger content than 'Animal', and he is confident that the movie will collect 150 crores on the first day alone, reaching 1500 crores in collections within a week if it receives positive reviews.
Following 'Spirit', Sandeep Reddy is set to direct with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Animal 2'. If these two films are successful, film analysts believe that Sandeep could achieve a level of fame comparable to Rajamouli.
Prasanth Varma
Young director Prasanth Varma has made a nationwide impact with his film 'HanuMan'. Achieving star director status with just his third movie, 'HanuMan' has become this year's highest-grossing film, collecting over Rs. 350 crores and surpassing expectations at the box office. Prasanth Varma is now developing 'Hanuman 2' and is rumored to be directing a period film featuring Bollywood star Ranveer Singh. Success in these two projects could elevate Prasanth Varma's reputation to a national level.
Prashanth Neel
Kannada director Prashanth Neel has achieved solid success with 'Salaar,' featuring Tollywood star Prabhas. His directing style has greatly impressed even Rajamouli. Prashanth Neel has captivated everyone by providing elevations that match Prabhas' on-screen persona, presenting him as a strong personality in 'Salaar.' He designed the interval sequence wonderfully, reminiscent of Rajamouliâs style. Every appearance of Prabhas on screen sent chills down the fans' spines.
Currently, Prashanth Neel is fully dedicated to 'Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam'. Success with this film could establish him as one of the top directors nationally. He is also preparing for 'NTR31' with Tarak, expected to start production soon, and the production company has announced that 'KGF 3' is underway. If these three projects are successful, Prashanth Neelâs fame could rival that of Rajamouli.
Koratala Siva
Koratala Siva, a noted director in Tollywood, has seen substantial box office success with all his films except 'Acharya'. He is now directing a pan-India film titled 'Devara' featuring Tarak, set against a coastal backdrop and generating significant buzz. The film, which includes Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and music by Anirudh, will release in two parts, the first on October 10. The promotional materials, including a thrilling scene of Tarak with a sword, have heightened expectations. Success with 'Devara' could elevate Koratala Siva to national prominence. If both parts succeed, he could become one of the country's most prominent directors.
Sujeeth
Sujeeth, recognized for his stylish direction, possesses skills akin to Hollywood filmmakers and is often compared to S.S. Rajamouli. Following 'Baahubali,' he directed Prabhas in 'Saaho.' Despite the film not meeting box office expectations, audiences appreciated Sujeethâs direction, screenplay, and innovative approach, especially his execution of action scenes. He showcased Prabhas in a notably stylish role. At that time, it was said that Sujeeth would not need to look back if he could achieve a significant hit. Currently, he is directing 'OG' with Pawan Kalyan, anticipated as a pan-India release. Early glimpses have already excited Pawan's fans, where he portrays a gangster. If 'OG' succeeds, it is believed that Sujeeth's career could soar, with some analysts suggesting that two major hits might propel him to a status comparable to Rajamouli's.
Buchi Babu
Buchi Babu is one of the few directors who achieved a solid hit with their debut film. With 'Uppena,' he introduced a pure love story to the audience, proving his significant talent to the industry. He has now risen to a level where he is set to direct his next film with Tollywood star Ram Charan. This upcoming film, a sports drama, will also be released at a pan-India level. Analysts believe that if Buchi Babu's talent combines well with Ram Charan's star power, the film is sure to succeed. They also opine that his name will become well-known at a national level if this project succeeds.

Diverse and Bold: Young Telugu Heroes Redefining Cinema with Unique Script Choices
Telugu cinema's young heroes are being particularly careful with their choice of scripts, showing interest only if the story offers something new. Otherwise, they unhesitatingly reject routine stories, setting an example that even veterans like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Ravi Teja, Ram Pothineni, Nithiin, and Gopichand could take note of. Young actor Suhas is soon to appear in a unique story titled 'Gorre Puranam'. This backdrop has reignited discussions about the innovative subjects young heroes are choosing. Who are these young heroes bringing new stories to life? What movies have they done? Let's delve into this special report.
Suhas
Starting with minor roles in the industry, Suhas became famous almost overnight with the movie 'Colour Photo'. Building on the fame from his short films, he seized opportunities in cinema. He earned good recognition from the audience by acting in diverse films like 'Writer Padmabhushan', 'Ambajipeta Marriage Band', 'Sriranga Neethulu', and 'Prasanna Vadanam'. Moreover, he made an impact as a villain in the movie 'HIT 2'. Recently, he's gearing up to present another novel subject with 'Gorrepuranam', releasing this Friday (September 20).
Teja Sajja
Starting as a child actor, Teja Sajja transitioned to a lead role with 'Zombie Reddy'. Despite his first film establishing him as hero material, subsequent diverse films like 'Ishq' and 'Adbhutham' did not earn much fame. However, he achieved a solid hit nationally with 'Hanuman', directed by Prasanth Varma. This success resonated well, enhancing Teja Sajja's reputation. Currently, he's involved in another pan-India film titled 'Miraya', where Manchu Manoj plays the villain. The already released teaser of 'Miraya' has raised expectations.
Nikhil Siddhartha
Nikhil Siddhartha grabbed everyoneâs attention with 'Happy Days'. Post that film, he continued to captivate the youth with solo hero films. His journey includes significant roles in films like 'Swamy Ra Ra', 'Karthikeya', 'Surya vs Surya', 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada', and 'Karthikeya 2', establishing him as a reliable hero. Currently, he's part of the historical film 'Swayambhu', produced by Ram Charan, and also 'Karthikeya 3' is in his lineup.
Vishwak Sen
Vishwak Sen, known among the youth as a mass hero, has been careful to ensure diversity in his films from the start. His initial movie 'Vellipomakey' didn't make a big splash, but 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' brought him significant youth following. Following that, 'Falaknuma Das', a mass action drama, secured another success. His roles in 'HIT', 'Paagal', 'Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam', 'Ori Devuda', 'Das Ka Dhamki', 'Gaami', and 'Gangs of Godavari' further cemented his status as a star in Telugu cinema. Currently, he's involved in 'Mechanic Rocky' and 'Laila', where his appearance in a lady getup in 'Laila' is noteworthy.
Adivi Sesh
Adivi Sesh initially appeared in a minor role in the movie 'Sontham' led by Aryan Rajesh. His breakout role as a hero was in 'Karma'. He gained recognition as a villain in Pawan Kalyanâs 'Panjaa'. With important roles in 'Run Raja Run', 'Baahubali', and a series of diverse films like 'Kshanam', 'Goodachari', 'Evaru', 'Major', and 'HIT 2', Adivi Sesh transformed into a reputable hero. He's currently working on the sequel to 'Goodachari', expected to be a pan-India release, poised to further boost his career if successful.
Siddhu Jonnalagadda
Starting with a role in Naga Chaitanyaâs debut 'Josh', Siddhu Jonnalagadda didn't see much career growth despite diverse roles in movies like 'Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu', 'Orange', and 'Guntur Talkies'. She clarified that her first Kannada film was 'Ondu Kathe Hella,' but she didnât tell her family she was making the film.
After its release, her family was shocked to see Priyanka in the film but didn't say a word and instead encouraged her.
Despite her interest in acting, Priyanka never thought about entering films; she dreamed of securing a good job.
If she hadnât entered the industry, Priyanka mentioned she would have been working in a reputable corporate firm by now.
Priyanka made her Telugu debut with 'Gang Leaders.' On her first day of shooting, seeing veteran actors like Lakshmi and Saranya made her very nervous.
She questioned her worthiness of acting with such accomplished actors and directly asked the director Vikram if he had made a hasty decision in casting her.
From a young age, Priyanka admired Suriya. She was thrilled to get a chance to act with him in 'ET.' After shooting, when Suriya sent her a gift, she excitedly posted it on Instagram.

In Tamil, she has worked with Sivakarthikeyan in 'Doctor' and 'Don,' and with Dhanush in 'Captain Miller,' all of which were also dubbed into Telugu.

Rivalries Escalate: How Fan Wars Are Threatening the Future of Indian Cinema
Once, Bollywood was synonymous with the Indian film industry, where only Hindi stars were considered pan-India celebrities. However, the scenario has completely changed now. The South Indian film industry is also making a mark on the Indian box office and gaining national attention. South Indian cinemas from Tollywood and Kollywood are providing stiff competition to Bollywood's dominance. At such a transformative phase, fan wars, especially from the South Indian industry, are weakening its impact. If unchecked, this could pose serious threats to the industry's future.
Tollywood vs Kollywood
Fan wars used to be confined within a single industry, where fans would engage in posting criticisms against each other. Now, with the rise of pan-India films, these battles have spilled over to other industries. Fans are unable to tolerate if a film from another industry outperforms their favorite star's movie in collections. This rivalry is particularly evident between Tollywood and Kollywood. Tamil hero Vijay's films see massive trolling from Telugu audiences upon release, and similarly, when Telugu films release, they face significant online backlash from Tamil audiences.

https://twitter.com/i/status/1841876236840374698
What's the Damage?
Many might think these fan wars, instigated by just a few, are harmless to the heroes and the film industry. That's a misconception. These trolls influence a significant portion of the audience from respective industries, inadvertently fostering resentment against stars from rival industries. This results in outright rejection and negative campaigning against films upon their release, even if the films are well-made, affecting their overall collections. Films that perform well in the North are being sabotaged in the South, highlighting the adverse effects of unchecked fan wars.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1841876236840374698
Impending Releases at Risk!
Several big-budget pan-India films are set for release soon from both Tollywood, like 'Pushpa 2', 'Game Changer', and from Kollywood with stars like Suriya and Sivakarthikeyan. If fan wars are not controlled, these films could face significant setbacks despite their potential. The film community urges that good cinema should be supported beyond regional biases to achieve true pan-India success. Otherwise, Bollywood could indirectly benefit from these continued rivalries.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1841876236840374698
Check Needed on Title Clashes!
Itâs crucial for directors and producers from significant industries like Tollywood and Kollywood to avoid fueling fan wars. Recently, more Kollywood films have been released directly with Tamil titles in Telugu-speaking regions, causing discontent among the Telugu audience. Mistakes by a few can risk generating widespread animosity against the Tamil industry as a whole. Measures must be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1841876236840374698
Political Turn
Comments made by AP Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan, intended to protect Sanatana Dharma, have stirred controversies in Tamil Nadu. Indirect comments aimed at Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, also an actor, escalated this into a war between Telugu and Tamil film industries, with fans clashing on social media platforms. Both fans have been vehemently trolling each other, comparing Pawan Kalyanâs film career with Udhayanidhiâs credentials.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1841876236840374698
Pawan Kalyan vs. Allu Arjun
The Mega Family, one of Tollywoodâs most influential families, has produced more than a dozen actors. Recent rumors suggest a rift between Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun, intensified during the AP elections when Allu Arjun allegedly supported a candidate from an opposing party. This has led Mega fans to target Allu Arjun extensively, while the 'Allu Army' defends their hero in return. However, at a recent government event, Pawan Kalyan mentioned both actors from Tollywood, including Allu Arjun, expressing high regard for them, which fans perceive as an attempt to quell the controversy. Yet, Mega fans continue to urge on social media not to promote Allu Arjun's upcoming film 'Pushpa 2'.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga: The New Age Rajamouli of Indian Cinema?
Director Rajamouli, a pride of the nation, has achieved recognition as a filmmaker of extraordinary calibre. He delights audiences at a pan-India level with his films, setting a benchmark for other directors with movies like 'RRR,' bringing prestigious awards like the Oscars to India. Currently, the name resonating at that level is Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Despite having directed only three films, he commands attention that many directors aspire for. Stars are eager to work in his films, much like they are for Rajamouli's projects. Let's delve into why this is the case.
Unique Direction
Sandeep Reddy Vanga made his directorial debut with 'Arjun Reddy,' captivating the youth with his portrayal of the hero. He replicated his success by remaking the film in Hindi as 'Kabir Singh.' Recently, he shook the box office with 'Animal' starring Ranbir Singh. Sandeep's narrative style is considered unique compared to other directors, known for establishing hero characters powerfully. This distinctive direction has made top stars keen to collaborate with him.
Queuing Stars!
After the blockbuster 'Animal,' the buzz is that Sandeep will be teaming up with Prabhas for 'Spirit.' Following this, Allu Arjun is confirmed to be the hero in another upcoming project. Mahesh Babu is also said to have agreed to a movie with Sandeep post his project with Rajamouli. Sandeep has already discussed the story with Mahesh, as per various interviews. Recently, there have been talks with Jr. NTR, and Charan is expected to discuss a potential project soon. Beyond these stars, there's talk of 'Animal-2' in Bollywood, indicating Sandeep's widespread popularity. Despite their busy schedules, stars are ready to allocate dates for a chance to work with Sandeep, who, like Rajamouli, is desired by cinema lovers across India for his pan-Indian success.
Spirit Heroine Fixed
With Prabhas as the hero, massive expectations surround 'Spirit,' directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The industry is eagerly awaiting the commencement of filming. Currently busy with pre-production, the director has sparked intense curiosity online. Rumors are that Bollywood's seasoned actress Kareena Kapoor will star opposite Prabhas. Having been a top heroine in Bollywood, Kareena now occasionally appears in films and web series. News of her returning as a lead actress alongside a star hero has generated much interest. Fans are already speculating about the chemistry between Prabhas and Kareena, awaiting an official announcement from the 'Spirit' team.
Prabhasâs Villain Repeats!
Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, recently known for villain roles, played Ravana in 'Adipurush' and opposed Jr. NTR in 'Devara.' His menacing appearance in the recently released 'Devara' trailer captivated audiences. Another buzz about 'Spirit' suggests that Saif will also appear in a negative role here, pitted against Prabhas in a powerful character. An intriguing aspect is that Saifâs wife, Kareena Kapoor, rumored to be the heroine in 'Spirit,' might see the couple portraying hero and villain on screen, which adds an interesting layer to the anticipation for the film. If true, expectations for 'Spirit' are set to climb to new heights.

TFAPA's Ban on Reviewers Inside Theaters: A Bold Move to Save Cinema from Negative Hype!
In the past, audiences used to watch movies firsthand to form an opinion. Gradually, word-of-mouth took precedence in shaping movie-going decisions. However, the scenario has drastically changed today with film media and YouTube channels shifting their focus on new releases, bringing review culture to the forefront. Immediately after a movie's release, several YouTube channels rush to theaters to gather audience reactions and post them on their channels. Consequently, movie lovers form opinions without actually seeing the film, largely influenced by negative reviews on these channels.
Producers' Response: No Entry to Theaters for Reviewers
Observing the significant impact of YouTube and netizen reviews on movie outcomes, the Tamil Film Active Producers Association (TFAPA) has decided to take a pivotal step to regulate these reviews. They have issued a directive to cinema hall owners not to allow media inside theaters, highlighting how negative reviews have severely impacted films like 'Indian 2', 'Kanguva', and 'Vettaiyan'. The growing issue in the film industry needs a united front from all associations to counteract this challenge, as stated by TFAPA. They specifically requested that theaters should not facilitate public reviews during the first show on release day.
https://twitter.com/sekartweets/status/1859087661245624343
Addressing Personal Attacks
Recently, some YouTube channels have targeted actors under the guise of reviews, critiquing their performance inappropriately, leading to personal attacks. TFAPA has responded to these instances, condemning the personal criticisms aimed at actors, directors, and producers. They have warned that such behavior will not be tolerated and have urged these channels to change their approach to reviews.
Is There a Need for Similar Action in Tollywood?
The issues highlighted by the Tamil producers are also prevalent in Tollywood, with many YouTube channels based in Hyderabad flocking to theaters like Prasad's IMAX during star movie releases. These channels often highlight sensational comments for fame, overshadowing genuine audience reviews. The presence of fans and anti-fans at first shows amplifies negative opinions, persuading the general audience to avoid theaters and wait for OTT releases instead. Film analysts suggest that Tollywood bigwigs might consider similar measures as their Tamil counterparts.
https://twitter.com/pakkatelugunewz/status/1859143090378076253
Will the Measures Be Effective?
While the TFAPA's decision to restrict YouTube channels from theaters is commendable, its practical effectiveness remains questionable. Controlling YouTube channels is challenging; even national leaders face trolling. Even if access inside theaters is denied, reviewers can still gather public opinions outside, where those eager for visibility will likely speak up. The effectiveness of TFAPA's recommendations remains to be seen.

With just a month until the release, the Pushpa 2 team is focusing on promotions. Events are reportedly planned in major cities across North India, with the trailer launch expected in Patna. Team India cricketers Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, and Arshdeep Singh are rumored to be invited as special guests for these events. An official announcement regarding this unique collaboration is anticipated next week. If this news is confirmed, Pushpa 2 will be setting a new trend in movie promotions, as cricketers have rarely participated in promotional events for films, making this a groundbreaking moment in Indian cinema history.
Invitations Based on Location!
The Pushpa 2 promotions will reportedly be spread across various states in North India, with specific cricketers invited based on the event location. According to the latest updates, Shikhar Dhawan may appear at an event in Punjab, Hardik Pandya in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and Ajinkya Rahane in Mumbai. Additionally, the Pushpa team is planning an event in the U.S., with a rumored invitation to West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle. In Australia, cricketers Glenn Maxwell and David Warner might attend. Fans are thrilled at the possibility of these cricket stars joining Pushpa 2 promotions.
Trailer Update!
Sources indicate that the makers plan to release the Pushpa 2 trailer on November 15. The trailer is reportedly 3 minutes and 45 seconds long, with sequences designed to give viewers goosebumps. Releasing the trailer two weeks before the film is expected to build significant anticipation among audiences. Fans still recall the impact of the Pushpa 1 trailer, which featured the iconic line, âDid you think Pushpa is just a flower? Itâs fire.â With high expectations, fans hope that the Pushpa 2 trailer will deliver a similar level of excitement.
Thaman Joins the Pushpa 2 Team!
It is well-known that Pushpa 2âs music is being composed by star music director Devi Sri Prasad, who created a sensation with his soundtrack for the first part. However, rumors suggest that the Pushpa team has brought on board Thaman for the filmâs background score, and reports also indicate discussions with Kantara music director Ajaneesh Loknath. If finalized, Thaman may handle the first halfâs score, with Ajaneesh providing music for the second half. Sukumar reportedly made this decision due to time constraints and concerns with the current background score.

From Child Artist to National Award Winner: Keerthy Suresh's Inspiring Journey in Cinema
Keerthy Suresh is one of those actresses who prioritizes acting over beauty. Belonging to the Tamil industry, she has also gained significant popularity in Telugu films. Her role as Savitri in the movie 'Mahanati' was phenomenal, earning her a National Award. However, her film career has seen many interesting twists and turns. Today (October 17), on the occasion of Keerthy Suresh's birthday, let's look into some special aspects of her life.
As a Child Artist
The daughter of actors Suresh Kumar and Menaka, Keerthy Suresh sparkled as a child artist in the Malayalam film 'Pilots'. She also appeared as a child artist in the films 'Achaneyanenikkishtam' and 'Kuberan'.
Mother as Chiruâs Heroine.. Daughter as Sister
In Chiranjeevi's film 'Punnami Naagu', Keerthy's mother Menaka acted as the heroine. Recently, in the movie 'Bhola Shankar', Keerthy played the significant role of Chiranjeevi's sister. Despite the film not doing well, their performances as siblings were well-received. During the shoot in Hyderabad, Chiranjeevi mentioned during movie promotions that he ensured home-cooked meals were sent to Keerthy throughout the filming.
Stalled Projects at the Beginning
Keerthy Suresh began her career as a heroine with the film 'Geethanjali', starring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. However, even before this, she had signed three projects as a heroine, which had also started shooting. Unexpectedly, these three projects were halted midway, leading to great disappointment for her, as she mentioned in an interview.
Tagged as Iron Leg
Early in her career, the halting of three projects, and the failure of films like 'Geethanjali' and 'Ring Master' in Malayalam, and her first Tamil film 'Idhu Enna Maayam' being a disaster, Keerthy was tagged as an 'Iron Leg'. She faced significant trolling but ignored it and went on to succeed in films, establishing herself as a successful heroine.
Turning Point with Mahanati
Her first Telugu film 'Nenu Sailaja' was a success, which increased her opportunities in Tollywood and Kollywood. Despite being in commercial films, she felt unfulfilled as an actress until 'Mahanati' came along. Her portrayal of Savitri was critically acclaimed, earning her the National Award for Best Actress and becoming an inspiration to other actresses. Her career graph significantly rose after 'Mahanati'.
Series of Failures
Post-'Mahanati', it was believed that Keerthy's career would have no downturns, and she did receive a series of offers. However, subsequent films like 'Saamy Square', 'Pandem kodi 2', 'Rang De', and 'Annaatthe' failed to meet audience expectations. Her women-oriented films 'Penguin', 'Miss India', and 'Good Luck Sakhi' also failed to make an impact.
Director's Intent to Cast Keerthy
Following last year's release 'Dasara', which was a massive success, Keerthy made a strong comeback. Directed by Srikanth Odela with Nani as the hero, the film grossed over 100 crores and received widespread praise for Keerthy's performance. She excelled in the role of Vennela, a rural woman, and received awards like SIIMA and Filmfare for Best Actress. However, it was revealed during movie promotions that director Srikanth Odela initially planned to cast Keerthy as the heroine for 'Dasara' after narrating the movie story and suggested she gain 10-12 kilograms, which she couldn't. Nani mentioned that Odela decided to cast her despite her not being able to gain weight, highlighting that even though he was a debut director and she was a National Award-winning actress, they ended up becoming good friends on the movie sets.

Keerthyâs Special Talent
Not just her face, Keerthy Suresh's voice is also beautiful. Directors have capitalized on her melodious voice, having her sing beautifully the song 'Pudhu Metro Rail' in 'Saamy Square'. She also recently lent her voice to the character of Bujji Vehicle in 'Kalki 2898 AD' and proved her dancing skills with the 'Gandhaari' album.
This Year into Bollywood
Having already entertained this year with 'Siren' and 'Raghu Thatha', Keerthy is busy with upcoming projects like 'Revolver Reeta', 'Kannivedi', and 'Uppu Kappurambu'. She is set to enter Bollywood with 'Baby John'. In an instance, she mentioned that the roles of Savitri (Mahanati), Vennela (Dasara), and Kalavathi (Sarkaru Vaari Paata) were challenging in her career.

Rajamouliâs Big âWhat Ifâ: Suriya Was Almost Cast in Magadheera â How It Couldâve Changed Telugu Cinema
Tamil star Suriyaâs upcoming film Kanguva is all set for a grand pan-India release on November 14. With the release date approaching, Suriya and the Kanguva team are actively promoting the film through various events, including a recent pre-release event. At this event, special guest Rajamouli mentioned that he once considered making a film with Suriya, sparking widespread curiosity. Fans are now speculating which film this might have been. Letâs take a closer look.
Which Film Was It?
The mega-blockbuster Magadheera (Ram Charan) catapulted Charanâs career to new heights under Rajamouliâs direction. According to the latest buzz, Rajamouli initially wanted to cast Suriya in Magadheera. While there were strong rumors about Rajamouli wanting Suriya for Baahubali, these rumors were debunked by Rajamouliâs father and writer Vijayendra Prasad, who clarified that Baahubali was designed specifically for Prabhas. However, itâs believed that Rajamouli initially considered Suriya for Magadheera. At the Kanguva pre-release event, Rajamouli praised Suriyaâs Ghajini, which was released in 2005âfour years before Magadheera in 2009. Considering that Magadheera took three years to complete, itâs likely Rajamouli had the script ready by 2006. Based on these timelines, fans speculate that Magadheera was the film Rajamouli envisioned for Suriya.
What If That Had Happened?
If Suriya had done Magadheera instead of Ram Charan, Charanâs career might have looked very different. After his debut with Chirutha, which received moderate success, Charan struggled to establish a strong foothold until Magadheera cemented his position in the industry. Even though he acted in several films after Magadheera, he didnât experience another significant breakthrough until Rangasthalam in 2018. Industry analysts and fans believe that without Magadheera, Charanâs career might not have reached the heights it did.
âMissed Chance to Work with Suriyaâ
At the Kanguva pre-release event, Rajamouli expressed admiration for Kollywood actor Suriya, crediting him as an inspiration for his pan-India films. He acknowledged Suriyaâs impact on promoting Telugu cinema globally, citing Suriyaâs promotion for Ghajini as a case study on how actors from different industries can connect with Telugu audiences. Rajamouli explained that Suriyaâs efforts inspired him while creating Baahubali but noted that, despite wanting to work with Suriya, the opportunity never materialized.

âTold the Story⌠It Didnât Work Outâ
In a recent interview, Tamil star Karthi shared an interesting story about Rajamouliâs attempt to collaborate with him and Suriya. During the promotions for Satyam Sundaram, Karthi, in a conversation with director Gautham Menon, revealed that Rajamouli had once narrated a story to him and Suriya. âRajamouli Sir told us a story that was good, but the movie didnât materialize,â Karthi explained. Fans were stunned, wondering why they would pass on a Rajamouli film. If this project had taken off, it might have further elevated the careers of both Suriya and Karthi.

Tollywood's Emerging Directors: Redefining the Role of Heroines
In cinema, both the hero and the heroine are crucial, like the two eyes of a face. Nowadays, heroines seem to have less scope for substantive roles compared to the past, with some directors focusing films predominantly around the hero. Often, heroines appear primarily for songs and to add a visual appeal. Recent movies like 'Liger,' 'Mr. Bachchan,' and 'Double iSmart' have drawn criticism for focusing more on heroines' exposure than their acting skills. However, some young directors in Tollywood are attracting praise for portraying heroines with dignity, following the example set by Sekhar Kammula. Who are these directors? What films have they made? How have they portrayed their heroines? Letâs find out.
Sekhar Kammula
When you think of a sensible director in Tollywood, Sekhar Kammula is one of the first names that come to mind. He is known for creating beautiful love stories and engaging family dramas. The heroines in his films and the way they are portrayed remain memorable to the audience. Kamalinee Mukherjee in 'Anand' and 'Godavari' is a prime example, portrayed as the girl-next-door in a dignified manner. In 'Leader,' Richa Gangopadhyay, and in 'Life is Beautiful,' Shagun Kaur, left lasting impressions. Particularly in films like 'Fidaa' and 'Love Story,' Sai Pallavi's roles won hearts without relying on exposure, affirming Sekharâs significant contribution to her becoming a star heroine. His understanding of how to extract authentic performances from actresses makes many heroines keen to work with him at least once.
Hanu Raghavapudi
Similar to Sekhar Kammula, director Hanu Raghavapudi takes great care in the portrayal of heroines. His films 'Andala Rakshasi,' 'Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha,' 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu,' and 'Sita Ramam' make it clear that he focuses on the substance of his heroines' roles. Actresses like Lavanya Tripathi, Mehreen, Sai Pallavi, and Mrunal Thakur under his direction have garnered significant acclaim. Mrunal Thakur, in particular, received rave reviews for her role in the beautiful love saga 'Sita Ramam,' achieving star status in Telugu cinema. Her character Sita in the film remains special to her, as stated in various interviews. Hanu has announced a project with Prabhas, introducing a new actress, Iman Ismail, to the Telugu screen, whose appearance has already generated considerable interest.
Vivek Athreya
Young director Vivek Athreya also seems to follow in Sekhar Kammula's footsteps regarding heroine portrayal. His recent film 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' with Nani, featuring Tamil actress Priyanka Arul Mohan, showcased her acting without resorting to glamour. His previous works, 'Mental Madhilo,' 'Brochevarevarura,' and 'Ante Sundaraniki,' emphasized dignified portrayals over skin show, with actresses like Nivetha Pethuraj, Nivetha Thomas, and Nazriya Nazim earning recognition for their roles.
Shouryuv
Director Shouryuv made his mark with the film 'Hi Nanna,' capturing hearts and earning praise for his sensitive portrayal. In the film, Nani stars alongside Mrunal Thakur, who was previously known in Bollywood for more glamorous roles. Shouryuv presented her as a quintessential Telugu girl without compromising her dignity throughout the film. Despite opportunities for skin show in songs, he chose not to take that route, maintaining the integrity of Mrunal's character. This approach left film critics impressed and hopeful that he will continue in this manner in his future projects.
Tharun Bhascker
Tharun Bhascker, a young director, has quickly become synonymous with youthful films. He has gained recognition in a short time with content that resonates with the youth, without ever giving in to the temptation to showcase glamour unnecessarily. Starting with his debut film 'Pelli Choopulu,' this aspect becomes clear. Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma's pairing in the film highlighted substantial acting over cheap thrills. This film significantly boosted Ritu Varma's popularity. After turning actor in several films, Tharun Bhascker has returned to directing with 'Keeá¸a Cola,' continuing his tradition of dignified cinematic portrayals.
