Plot:

Ultimately, she decides that breaking him out of jail is the only option left. Does Satyabhama succeed in her efforts? Performances:



Alia Bhatt delivers a stunning performance as Satyabhama. Her acting in emotional scenes is captivating, and she is incredibly convincing as the sister fighting to save her brother, excelling even in action sequences. Vedang Raina, as her brother, also puts forth a commendable performance. Telugu actor Rahul Ravindran, as Muthu, has landed a pivotal role that significantly impacts the story. Direction:



Director Vasan Bala has crafted this film in the jailbreak genre. Right from the beginning, he successfully establishes the strong bond between the siblings. The audience can truly feel the strong relationship between them. However, the plot tends to drag until Ankur's arrest, after which the pace of the story picks up. The struggles Ankur faces in jail and Satyabhama's efforts to free him are engaging. With her decisive action to break him out, the story takes a thrilling turn, which the director has skillfully depicted. The climax action episode stands out as a highlight of the film. However, the predictable storyline and lack of innovative twists can be seen as drawbacks.







Technically:



Technically, the cinematography is impressive, effectively presenting the prison environment, especially in the climax, which offers some visually stunning shots. The music is satisfactory, with the background score fitting well with the film's tone. Tighter editing could have benefitted the movie. The production values are high.

Actor Gopichand captivates with his settled acting and impresses in action sequences, proving his comedy timing once again with 'Viswam'. However, his role does not offer much variety compared to his previous films; it feels quite routine. Heroine Kavya Thapar doesn’t have much scope in acting but scores well on the glamour front. Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Sunil, and Rahul Ramakrishna bring laughter in the film, especially in the train episode. Other characters have performed well within their roles.







Direction



Having directed blockbusters like 'Anandam', 'Sontham', 'Venky', 'Dhee', 'Ready', and 'Dookudu', Srinu Vaitla had lost his track recently. Recognizing his strengths and weaknesses, he brought 'Viswam', a mix of action and comedy, back to the audience. However, choosing an outdated story for this film could be seen as a drawback. Punches and the comedy track are the strengths of the film, particularly the sequences involving Vennela Kishore and Prithvi that are sure to leave the audience in splits. The Italy track and the villain’s character feel weak. The hero-heroine love track also feels repetitive. However, the interval scene and the climax manage to engage.







Technically



On the technical front, Chetan Bharadwaj’s music is decent with two or three good songs, and the background score elevates the scenes well. K.V. Guhan’s cinematography is also commendable. Editing by Amar Reddy could have been sharper. The production values are high, giving each scene a rich look.

Jani Master was accused by his assistant of sexual harassment. She complained to the police, saying, "I met Jani Master in 2017. I joined his team as an assistant choreographer in 2019. During a film shoot in Mumbai, I traveled there along with Jani Master and two other assistants. At the hotel there, Jani Master raped me. He threatened to fire me and said I would never work in the film industry again if I told anyone. He took advantage of the opportunity to take us from Hyderabad to other cities for film shootings and raped me multiple times. Even during the shootings, he behaved indecently inside the vanity van," the victim stated in her complaint. Following her complaint, police arrested him on Thursday (September 19). The Cyberabad SOT team apprehended him at a lodge in Goa.

But seeing these allegations at this level is heartbreaking. The law will determine who is at fault. I congratulate the police for acting swiftly in this matter. This incident clearly shows that no one is above the law," Manoj stated.
