Neelakantham, who employs Simhadri in his household, discovers that his daughter, Gangotri, has fallen in love with Simhadri. Upon learning this, Neelakantham Naidu decides to kill Simhadri. However, Simhadri manages to escape this attempt on his life. The story then revolves around how Simhadri manages to outwit Neelakantham and ultimately be with his beloved, Gangotri.
