Allu Sirish's 'Buddy': A Spirited Comeback in an Action-Packed Adventure
Allu Sirish's 'Buddy': A Spirited Comeback in an Action-Packed Adventure
Cast: Allu Sirish, Gayatri Bharadwaj, Prisha Singh, Ajmal Amir, Sriram Reddy, Mohammed Ali, Mukesh Kumar, and others. Director: Sam Antone Music: Hip-hop Tamizha Cinematography: Krishnan Vasant Editor: Ruben Producer: K.E. Gnanavel Raja Release Date: August 2, 2024 After a considerable hiatus, Mega Hero Allu Sirish makes his comeback with the film 'Buddy', starring alongside heroines Gayatri Bharadwaj and Prisha Singh. Directed by Sam Antone and produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green Films banner, this action-adventure film was released on August 2.  What's the Story? Aditya Ram (Allu Sirish), a pilot, falls in love with Pallavi (Gayatri Bharadwaj), who works as an air traffic controller in Visakhapatnam, without ever meeting her. Just as they plan to meet, unexpected events unfold. Pallavi gets caught in a medical mafia trap and is kidnapped, falling into a coma. Her spirit enters a teddy bear that Aditya once gifted her. How does her spirit, through the teddy, reunite with Aditya? How does Aditya, with the help of the teddy, retrieve her body from the villains? What did the villain gang plan to do with Pallavi's body? This is the story. How Did They Perform? Allu Sirish delivers a remarkable performance as Aditya. He excels in the action sequences, showing great maturity as an actor in this film. Gayatri Bharadwaj captivates with her glamour, charming the audience every moment she's on screen. Ajmal Amir, as the villain, matches well against Sirish, impressing with his acting. Second heroine Prisha Singh delights as an air hostess. The other actors also performed commendably within their roles. How's the Direction? Director Sam Antone made an effort to craft a unique story with this film. The love track between Allu Sirish and Gayatri Bharadwaj is beautifully executed. The scenes that show their connection despite being physically apart are particularly entertaining for the youth. The film keeps the audience engaged with 'Kalki' and 'Jai Balayya slogans' that add energy. The action sequences involving Buddy and Allu Sirish are enjoyable. However, the director failed to maintain suspense about what happens next, with the scenes being predictable. Some irrelevant comedy scenes caused viewer fatigue. An attempt to inject humor into the crucial climax was unnecessary. Technically... Technically speaking, Hip-hop Tamizha's background music is a strong addition, enhancing the action scenes, although the songs themselves are not very memorable. Krishnan Vasant's cinematographer is commendable. Editor Ruben could have sharpened his cuts a bit more. Better output from the graphics department would have added value to the film. Production values are satisfactory. Plus Points - Allu Sirish's acting - The love track - Action sequences with Buddy Minus Points - Screenplay - Lack of suspense - Some boring scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

In a recent post on X, she lashed out at some individuals for their incompetence. "How can you be so incompetent? Whatever I say, you turn it into a troll fest. You only talk about that topic. If you have the guts, show it against them, not me. But you won't do that because you can't. All you can do is harass women like your hero, sadly. I pray that you all recover soon," she wrote. The post has caused confusion as it didn’t tag anyone, leaving netizens puzzled over who she was targeting. https://twitter.com/anusuyakhasba/status/1816155138421317791 Was it Directed at Vijay Deverakonda? [toc] Cricket is the first sport that comes to mind in India, cutting across barriers of caste, religion, language, and region, and is embraced by individuals from every stratum of society. Cricketers are often idolized like celebrities, their popularity reaching stellar heights. The affection and admiration for cricketers representing Team India are immense. Icons like Sachin Tendulkar, M.S. Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli enjoy fan bases both domestically and internationally. The representation of players from the Telugu regions in such a pivotal sport has been on the rise. There was a time when the name of a Telugu cricketer would primarily evoke the memory of V.V.S. Laxman and Mohammed Azharuddin. Today, however, the scenario has evolved. Several young talents from the Telugu states are emerging on the national scene, with many already having earned recognition and success playing for India. This exclusive report by YouSay highlights the journey and achievements of these athletes in cricket. Nitish Kumar Reddy Telugu cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy burst onto the scene during the 2024 IPL season. Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Nitish has showcased exceptional skills in batting, bowling, and fielding. He has established himself as a dependable all-rounder, particularly shining in critical moments of the game. Background Nitish Kumar Reddy was born on May 26, 2003, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, into a lower middle-class family. His father, Muthyala Reddy, was previously employed at Hindustan Zinc. Nitish began playing cricket at just five years old. Inspired by watching matches at the Hindustan Zinc company grounds and starting with a plastic ball, he was encouraged by his father to pursue cricket professionally. Early in his career, Nitish attended training camps at the Visakhapatnam ground and later joined the ACA Academy in Kadapa. With the support of former chief selector M.S.K. Prasad further developed his cricketing skills. First Class Cricket As an opening batsman in age-group cricket and a medium pacer, Nitish Kumar Reddy has shown considerable prowess. He played for the Under-19 B team, where he effectively displayed his cricketing skills. Nitish made his first-class debut during the 2019-20 Ranji season. Since then, he has participated in 7 matches, amassing one century and one half-century, for a total of 366 runs. In List A cricket, representing the Andhra team, Nitish has played 22 matches, batting in 15 innings and scoring 403 runs with an average of 36.63, which includes 25 fours and 21 sixes. Additionally, his bowling record in List A includes 14 wickets in 22 matches, with an economy rate of 5.81. Turning Point The selection for the IPL marked a significant turning point in Nitish Kumar Reddy's career. After his impressive performances in first-class cricket, he was drafted by the Sunrisers franchise in 2023 for a base price of Rs. 20 lakhs. Though he saw limited opportunities in his debut season, the Sunrisers had specific plans for him as a finisher in the following season. In a critical match against Chennai (CSK vs SRH), Nitish was positioned in the lower middle order and scored 14 runs off 8 balls, contributing to his team's victory. Encouraged by his potential, the Sunrisers management promoted him up the batting order in a subsequent match against Punjab. Taking full advantage of this opportunity, Nitish quickly scored a half-century, amassing 64 runs from 37 balls, which included 4 fours and 5 sixes, proving invaluable to his team. This performance notably enhanced his visibility on the national stage and became a pivotal moment in his cricketing journey. IPL Performance So far, in the IPL, Nitish Kumar Reddy has played 10 matches, scoring 239 runs at an average of 47.80 and a strike rate of 154.23, including two half-centuries. Reviewing his IPL bowling stats, he has taken 3 wickets in 9 matches, conceding 124 runs for 73 runs scored against him, with best bowling figures of 2/17. Future Team India All-Rounder There has always been a demand for pace all-rounders in Team India. After Hardik Pandya, the BCCI is on the lookout for a suitable pace all-rounder. Observers analyzing Nitish's batting style, variety in bowling, and dynamic fielding suggest that he is a suitable candidate for this role. Consistent performance in tournaments and maintaining fitness could soon see Nitish donning the Team India jersey. Sports experts predict that Nitish will evolve as a future all-rounder for Team India. One Hero Two Heroines: Old Trend in Tollywood is coming Back?
The Telugu film industry consistently leads in setting new trends. A resurgent trend in Tollywood features films with one hero and two heroines. While this concept is not new, as many Telugu films have previously followed this pattern, its popularity waned over time. However, after a significant hiatus, this trend is making a comeback, with several upcoming movies adopting this format. What are these films, and who are the heroines involved? We will delve into these details in this special report. Gayathri Bharadwaj - Prisha Rajesh Singh Allu Sirish stars in the upcoming film 'Buddy,' directed by Sham Anton. Scheduled for release on August 2, the film features two heroines: Gayathri Bharadwaj and Prisha Rajesh Singh. Both actresses have caught the audience's attention in the promotional materials for 'Buddy.' The film is produced under the banner of Studio Green Films by KE Gnanavel Raja and Adhana Gnanavel Raja. Malvika Malhotra - Mannara Chopra Raj Tarun stars in the latest film 'Thiragabadara Saami,' directed by A.S. Ravi Kumar. In this film, two heroines share the screen: main heroine Malvi Malhotra and Mannara Chopra, who appears in a special song. Meanwhile, Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra have been in the news recently. Raj Tarun's girlfriend, Lavanya, has filed a complaint alleging that he deceived her and has been romantically involved with Malvi Malhotra. Amid these controversies, there is heightened interest in 'Thiragabadara Saami.' Thanvi Akanksha - Seerat Kapoor The latest film 'Usha Parinayam,' directed by veteran director Vijay Bhaskar and starring his son Sree Kamal, is set to hit theaters on August 2. The film features two heroines: newcomer Thanvi Akanksha and established actress Seerat Kapoor, who will appear in a special song. Thanvi Akanksha makes her film debut, while Seerat Kapoor has been known for her roles in films like 'Run Raja Run,' 'Tiger,' 'Columbus,' 'Okka Kshanam,' and 'Touch Chesi Chudu.' Meenakshi Chaudhary - Shraddha Srinath Vishwak Sen stars in 'Mechanic Rocky,' directed by Raviteja Mullapudi and produced by Ram Talluri. The film, set against a love triangle concept, features Meenakshi Chaudhary and Shraddha Srinath as the female leads. Scheduled for release on October 31, 'Mechanic Rocky' has sparked curiosity among viewers. Meenakshi Chaudhary is already well-known from films like 'Ichata Vahanamulu Niluparadu,' 'Khiladi,' 'HIT 2: The Second Case,' and 'Guntur Kaaram.' Shraddha Srinath has also captured the Telugu audience's heart with her performances in 'Jersey' and 'Saindhav.' Tamannaah - Raashi Khanna The fourth installment in the 'Aranmanai' series, 'Baak,' was recently released in Telugu, directed by Sundar C. It stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashii Khanna, who together featured prominently in a song that became quite popular among fans. Despite being a horror film, 'Baak' failed to make a significant impact at the box office. Tamannaah - Keerthy Suresh Megastar Chiranjeevi's last film, 'Bhola Shankar,' also featured two heroines and was directed by Meher Ramesh.
