Director TJ Gnanavel, known for his thought-provoking film 'Jai Bhim,' has attempted to deliver a meaningful message with 'Vettaiyan' as well. The film includes mass moments and heroism elevations that audiences crave, along with commercial elements that greatly enhance the story. The director has made a strong attempt to expose how the mafia misuses the education system. Rajinikanth's introduction and his steps to dismantle the marijuana mafia kick off the movie on a high note, moving into the core story following a rape case involving Sharanya. Scenes between Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are particularly captivating, enhancing the film’s intrigue. Rajinikanth's dialogues, along with the performances of star cast members like Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati, have been well-utilized by the director. The climax is also satisfying. Anirudh Ravichander's music takes the film to the next level. The Plot Police Officer Adiyan (Rajinikanth) works as the Superintendent of Police in Kanyakumari. He gains a reputation in the department as an encounter specialist. Based on a complaint from school teacher Sharanya (Dushara Vijayan), he encounters an individual running a marijuana mafia. Sharanya is then transferred to Chennai where she unexpectedly becomes a victim of a brutal attack. Teacher associations and the public massively protested, leading to the case being assigned to Adiyan. Within 48 hours, Adiyan captures a suspect named Guna and conducts an encounter, claiming he is the culprit. A judicial inquiry committee led by Judge Satyadev (Amitabh Bachchan) is formed to review the case. What did Satyadev's committee conclude? What caused Sharanya's death? What is the education mafia behind her death? The roles of Patrick (Fahadh Faasil), Nataraj (Rana Daggubati), ACP Roopa Kiran (Ritika Singh), and Hanu Reddy (Sampath Raj) in this case are pivotal. To find out more, one must watch the movie.

GnanavelMusic: Anirudh RavichanderEditor: Philomin RajCinematography: S.R. KhadirProduction House: Lyca ProductionsProducer: Subaskaran AllirajahRelease Date: October 10, 2024 Superstar Rajinikanth plays the lead role in 'Vettaiyan - The Hunter,' directed by T.J. Gnanavel, known for 'Jai Bhim'. Produced by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions, the film features Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh in pivotal roles. The movie has been released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. However, the retention of the Tamil title in the Telugu version drew some criticism. Did the movie overcome these issues to receive positive talk? Did it bring Rajini another solid success after the blockbuster 'Jailer'? Let’s find out in this review. Plot Police officer Adhiyan (Rajinikanth) serves as the SP of Kanyakumari and earns a reputation as an encounter specialist. Based on a complaint from school teacher Saranya (Dushara Vijayan), he takes down a drug mafia leader. Later, Saranya is transferred to Chennai, where she unexpectedly becomes a victim of sexual assault and murder. As teachers' associations and the public protest on a large scale, the case is handed over to Adhiyan. He apprehends a person named Gunaa within 48 hours, claiming him to be the culprit, and executes him in an encounter. A judicial committee is then formed, headed by Judge Sathyadev (Amitabh Bachchan), to investigate the matter. What did the committee find? What was the reason behind Saranya's death? What role does the education mafia play in her murder? And how are characters like Patrick (Fahadh Faasil), Nataraj (Rana Daggubati), ACP Roopa Kiran (Ritika Singh), and Hanu Reddy (Sampath Raj) connected to the case? To find out, you must watch the movie. Performance Analysis As always, Superstar Rajinikanth delivers an exceptional performance. His mass moments, heroism, and elevation scenes make his character a visual treat. Especially, his dialogue delivery and mannerisms are sure to impress the audience. Amitabh Bachchan, in an equally important role, is fantastic, and their scenes together are electrifying. Fahadh Faasil, playing a police informer, is captivated by his witty performance. Rana Daggubati and Dushara Vijayan also got substantial roles and impressed with their performances. The rest of the cast has performed well within their scope. Direction and Execution Director T.J. Gnanavel, known for the socially conscious 'Jai Bhim,' attempts to deliver another strong message through 'Vettaiyan.' Adding mass moments, heroism, and commercial elements to the story was a major plus. The film boldly addresses how people exploit under the guise of "smart education." The director starts the movie on a commercial note with Rajinikanth's introduction and action against the drug mafia and takes the story into the core plot after Saranya's case. However, the slow pace of the narration and some predictable elements work against the film. But the scenes between Amitabh and Rajini are a highlight, adding intrigue. Rajini’s dialogues and the director’s handling of the star cast like Fahadh Faasil and Rana are impressive. The climax is also satisfactory. Technical Aspects In terms of technical aspects, every department performed well. The cinematography was excellent, giving the film a commercial look. Anirudh's background score, as always, excites the audience, and the fans are sure to enjoy it. The editing could have been a bit sharper. Lyca Productions did not compromise on the production quality. Kanguva Movie Review: Suriya's Epic Tale of Reincarnation, Revenge, and Ancient Battles – A Visual Spectacle
Cast: Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj, K.S. Ravikumar, Harish Uthaman, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, among others. Director: Shiva Music: Devi Sri Prasad Cinematography: Vetri Palaniswamy Editing: Nishaad Yusuf Producers: K.E. Gnanavel, Vamshi Pramod Release Date: 14-11-2024 The Tamil actor Suriya stars in the most anticipated film 'Kanguva,' directed by Shiva. This film, also featuring Bollywood actress Disha Patani and Bobby Deol, is produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja and Vamshi Pramod with a massive budget of ₹350 crores. Released across India on November 14th, the film aims for box office collections of ₹1000 crores. Let's find out how the film fares and whether it has lived up to the audience's expectations and added another success to Suriya’s account. Plot Francis (Suriya) works as a bounty hunter in Goa, with his girlfriend Disha Patani and friend Yogi Babu assisting him. One day, a child approaches Francis feeling a mysterious connection to him, which he senses might be from a past life. What is this ancient connection with the child that dates back a thousand years? Who really is Kanguva? What battles did he fight as a fierce leader? What threats did his tribe face from the villain (Bobby Deol)? How did Kanguva save his tribe from the villain? To uncover these mysteries, one must watch the movie. Performance Analysis Tamil superstar Suriya has delivered a stellar performance in this film, impressing in both the roles of Francis and Kanguva. The effort he has put into the role of Kanguva is evident on screen, especially during the battle scenes, showcasing his formidable presence. His body language, dialogue delivery, and expression of emotions are all on point. Bobby Deol as the villain has delivered a powerful performance, matching Suriya's intensity. Disha Patani brings glamour to the film, and her chemistry with Francis’s character works well. Comedian Yogi Babu provides comic relief. Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, K.S. Ravikumar, and Harish Uthaman have significant roles and contribute well within their capacities. Direction Director Shiva has crafted 'Kanguva' with a novel storyline. The film starts slowly as it introduces Francis's character and takes time to develop. A small girl enters Francis's life, linking back to a past life, which interestingly steers the plot. From Kanguva’s entry, the true narrative begins. The director has engagingly depicted tribal life and conflicts from a thousand years ago. The twist at the interval raises expectations for the second half, which is filled with twists and action sequences that make the story even more gripping. The climax is sure to give everyone goosebumps. However, the slow-paced narrative and underdeveloped emotions, along with a somewhat weak villain character, might be seen as drawbacks. Technically... On the technical front, all departments have performed well, especially the VFX team, which has provided excellent output for the film. The cinematography is impressive. The music by Devi Sri Prasad is a major asset to the film, with both songs and background score enhancing the cinematic experience. The production values are high, and every scene is richly crafted. 'Venom 3: The Last Dance' Review - Tom Hardy's Explosive Farewell Packs Stunning Action But Misses Heart
Cast: Tom Hardy, Andy Serkis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Peggy, Rhys Ifans, Cristo Fernandez, Stephen Graham, and others Directed by: Kelly Marcel Cinematography: Fabian Wagner Editing: Mark Sanger Music: Dan Deacon Producers: Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Kelly Marcel, Tom Hardy Release Date: October 25, 2024 The 'Venom' series holds a special place in Hollywood movies, captivating fans of superhero films. Following two blockbuster hits, the series continues with 'Venom 3,' which hit theaters worldwide on October 25 as 'Venom: The Last Dance.' Like always, Tom Hardy stars as the protagonist under the direction of Kelly Marcel. Did part 3 also please the audience? Did it stand out as a visual wonder with its thrilling action sequences? Let's find out now. What's the Story? Picking up where 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' left off, the third part begins. After separating from Venom, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) becomes a most-wanted criminal. Meanwhile, Venom is also being hunted by beings from his own planet. Suddenly, both face a new threat. An element necessary for the release of Nal (Andy Serkis), a super villain imprisoned in another world, is unique with them. This provokes Nal's army to chase them. To escape from Nal's army, either Eddie or Venom must die, or they must forever be on the run. How did Eddie and Venom handle this? How did they confront Nal? That's the story. How Did They Perform? Tom Hardy delivers a one-man show in 'Venom 3.' He fits perfectly into Eddie Brock's role once again and manages to generate chemistry with an absent Venom, which is no small feat. Like in previous films, his comedic timing brings laughs, and he dazzles in the action sequences. His dynamic performance in the intense action scenes captivated the audience. Andy Serkis, as Nal, also grabs attention. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Peggy, Rhys Ifans, Cristo Fernandez, and Stephen Graham all do justice to their roles, fulfilling their characters' demands effectively. https://twitter.com/VenomMovie/status/1834215396595101934 How's the Direction? Director Kelly Marcel has crafted 'Venom: The Last Dance' with thrilling action sequences similar to the first two parts. Starting with an intense fight action scene, the director maintains this intensity until the end. He impresses the audience with three solid action sequences, especially with the climax that holds viewers captive for 20 minutes. The battle involving Venom, other symbiotes, and the military against a formidable enemy is thrilling. However, the makers have already announced that this movie will be the last in the Venom series. Highlighting Eddie and Venom's bond with an emotional finish would have been ideal. One scene just before the pre-climax does manage to be emotionally engaging. Overall, the movie will definitely entertain action lovers. https://twitter.com/VenomMovie/status/1846663977784562073 Technically On the technical front, the VFX team has done a fantastic job, turning the film into a visual wonder. The background music is excellent. The editing is adequate, and the production values are high. Plus Points - Tom Hardy's performance - Action sequences - VFX work Minus Points - Lack of depth in Eddie and Venom's bonding - Insufficient drama in the storyline Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 3/5

Thangalaan Review: Another Milestone in Vikram's Career
Thangalaan Review: Another Milestone in Vikram's Career
Cast: Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and others. Director: Pa. Ranjith Music: GV Prakash Kumar Editing: Selva R.K. Cinematography: A. Kishore Kumar Producers: K.E. Gnanavel Raja, Pa. Ranjith, Jyoti Desh Pandey Release Date: 15-08-2024 Having portrayed distinctive characters in films like 'Aparichitudu' and 'I', actor Vikram, who is also popular in Telugu cinema, has returned with another exciting movie, 'Thangalaan'. In this film, Vikram appears as a tribal man, and his transformation for the role has significantly heightened expectations among the audience. The trailer and teaser for the movie have doubled these expectations. Released worldwide on August 15, how did 'Thangalaan' fare? Has Vikram mesmerized once again with his performance? What was the cinematic experience like for the audience? Let’s explore in this review. What's the Story? Set during British rule in the 1850s, the story unfolds in a village called Veppur. Thangalaan (Vikram), living with his family, finds himself compelled to join a gold hunt with an Englishman named Clement due to unforeseen circumstances. This journey brings them face to face with bizarre experiences. Thangalaan is haunted by dreams where Aarathi (Malavika Mohanan), a tribal sorceress, uses her supernatural powers to protect the gold. But does she really safeguard the gold? What challenges do Thangalaan and his team face from her? What does Thangalaan learn on this journey? Did he ultimately discover the gold or not? That is the story. How Did They Perform? Vikram, as Thangalaan, was outstanding and made the character unforgettable. His portrayal as a tribal person, with the mannerisms and expressions, captivates everyone. This can be marked as another milestone in Vikram's career. Parvathy Thiruvothu, playing Thangalaan’s wife, was adequate in her role. Malavika Mohanan as Aarathi, the tribal leader, delivered the best performance of her career. Her looks and acting scared the audience and stood next to Vikram in terms of impact. Their action scenes together are particularly thrilling. Other actors performed well within their roles. How's the Direction? The film 'Thangalaan', primarily revolving around a gold hunt, is subtly portrayed by director Pa. Ranjith was a struggle of an oppressed class during the British era, highlighting racial discrimination. The world and characters created by the director transport the audience to a new realm. The people's attire and societal depiction are immersive. The journey of Thangalaan with the British in search of gold, and the challenges they face en route, build suspense. The scenes before the interval raise expectations for the second half, which, however, feels a bit detached as the story progresses. The pre-climax fight between the British, Thangalaan, and the tribal community leads to confusion, blurring the line between Thangalaan's dreams and reality. Yet, the director delivers a satisfying conclusion in the climax by revealing another dimension of Thangalaan's character. Technically Speaking Technically, the film is robust in many aspects. The costumes, makeup, and art departments have outdone themselves for this movie. The music by GV Prakash Kumar also complements the narrative well. The production values are high. Plus Points: - Story and narration - Performances by Vikram and Malavika - Fantasy elements Minus Points: - Pacing in the second half - Slow narration Telugu.YouSay.tv Rating: 3/5
