SSMB29: Mahesh's Look is Different! Jakkanna Has Really Pulled Off Something Great!
There's no need to specify just how high the expectations soar when it comes to a film by SS Rajamouli. With superstar Mahesh Babu teaming up with Jakkanna for this film, the entire nation's eyes are fixed on this project. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the day this exciting combo hits the sets. Meanwhile, Mahesh is undergoing a striking makeover for the film. Recently, when Mahesh and his wife met Telangana's CM Revanth Reddy, his look went viral. Pictures of Mahesh sporting long hair and a beard have been going viral on the internet, fueling speculation that this might be his look in SSMB29. However, there seems to be a big twist here. Let's find out what it is.
Is Mahesh's Look the Real Deal?
Fans are going crazy over Mahesh's latest look, praising him as looking like a Hollywood hero. Comments indicate that this look is finalized for 'SSMB29'. Yet, the latest buzz suggests that this is indeed the look Mahesh will sport in the film. After growing his beard and hair, Rajamouli is planning to bring in a hair stylist from abroad to craft four to five looks for Mahesh, one of which will be finalized. So, Mahesh's fans who thought the current look was final might be in for a surprise. They believe Jakkanna has really pulled a fast one on them.
Thus, Mahesh Has Freedom!
Rajamouli always pays special attention to the looks of his heroes in films, making sure they don’t leak before the film's release. He sets conditions for his heroes to ensure their looks are not revealed during the shooting. This was followed by Prabhas, Ram Charan, and Tarak during the shoots of 'Baahubali' and 'RRR'. However, Mahesh has been freely posing for cameras at various events, revealing his makeover in one form or another. But this freedom might be because this look isn’t the final one. Once the real look is finalized, there’s a chance Mahesh will be more cautious about not being exposed.
Rajamouli’s Master Plan!
For the upcoming film 'SSMB29' starring Mahesh Babu, director Rajamouli has decided to proceed with a new strategy. Typically, Rajamouli's movies involve significant VFX work, requiring simultaneous progress with the shooting. To address this, he has planned to shoot VFX-heavy scenes first and has already begun pre-production works. These scenes will be handed over to VFX companies in advance, and Rajamouli will then focus on the remaining shooting. This approach will allow both VFX work and shooting to be completed concurrently, speeding up the film's completion, which is making the fans extremely happy.
Answering the Critics
SS Rajamouli holds a top spot among India’s most esteemed directors. However, he has been critiqued lately for taking three to four years to release a film. Throughout his 23-year career, he has only released 12 films. His decision regarding VFX work is seen as a strategic move by the film industry. This could potentially allow for the film to be released within a couple of years. Estimates suggest that 'SSMB 29' could hit the screens by the end of 2026, even if it starts rolling next year.
