Ponniyin Selvan-2 Movie Review: Another Artistic Masterpiece from Mani Ratnam!
Ponniyin Selvan-2 Movie Review: Another Artistic Masterpiece from Mani Ratnam!
Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, starring Tamil superstars, has received mixed responses at the box office. Some appreciated it, while others found it difficult to understand. However, the director has raised many questions in the film, and Ponniyin Selvan-2 seeks to answer them. With extensive promotions since last month, the film has finally been released. Did the movie succeed? Did Mani Ratnam create magic? Let's review. Director: Mani Ratnam Cast: Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Sobhita, Aishwarya Lekshmi Music: A.R. Rahman Cinematography: Ravi Varman What's the Story? The first part ends with the conspiracy to assassinate Chola Prince Arunmozhi (Jayam Ravi). Did he really die? Will Vallavarayan (Karthi), who set out to uncover the conspiracies of the rival kings, save him? What did Aditya Karikalan (Vikram) do upon hearing the news of his brother's death? Why does Nandini (Aishwarya Rai) wish to witness the end of the Cholas? Ponniyin Selvan-2 is the answer to all these questions. How is it? The movie starts with a voiceover by a megastar. The story unfolds with Vallavarayan, Nandini, and the wise men trying to save Arunmozhi. The plot moves forward with Aditya Karikalan learning about the conspiracy and taking action. The situations between Aditya Karikalan and Nandini serve as the highlight of the movie. Their encounter in one incident is at another level. Nandini's desire to see the end of the Cholas and the ambitions of Pallavarayar to capture the kingdom are never boring. In conclusion, Ponniyin Selvan-2 is a visual treat that delivers stellar performances and an engaging story, making it another artistic masterpiece from Mani Ratnam. Trisha and Aishwarya Rai both dazzled in a frame that was so stunning, it felt like two eyes weren't enough to take it all in. After the film's opening, the decent screenplay gets somewhat slow at times, making the audience feel a bit restless. Even though it's in Mani Ratnam's style, one can't help but feel that a little more polish would have been better. The climax seems to have been wrapped up in a hurry, and the film could have connected more with the audience with a bit more focus. Performances In Ponniyin Selvan 2, Vikram showcases his versatility. Despite limited screen space in the first part, he steals the show in the sequel. Aishwarya Rai is another unforgettable character, shining even in a role with a negative shade. Jayam Ravi and Karthi breathed life into their characters. Many connected with Karthi's character Vallavarayan in the first part of Ponniyin Selvan, and audiences will continue their journey with this character in the sequel. Trisha, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aishwarya Lakshmi performed admirably within the confines of their roles. Comparing the first part with the second, director Mani Ratnam made some improvements. The film was handled with a sense of balance. Despite the slow narration, the audience will undoubtedly be rooting for the hero. Overall, while the film could have used a bit more polish and focus, the talented ensemble cast and Mani Ratnam's signature touch make it an enjoyable experience for viewers. Technical Aspects One of the highlights of the film is its cinematography. Ravi Varman captivates the audience with his skillful work, bringing the director's vision to life with great finesse. The editing is also commendable. There is no need to mention the production values separately. The music for the film is a plus point. Although A.R. Rahman showcases his talent in this movie, there are moments when it feels like it could have been better. It's not completely disappointing, but it doesn't quite reach the level one would expect from Rahman. Strengths Story and narration Performances of the actors Cinematography Weaknesses Slow pacing Rating: 3.25/5

Janhvi Kapoor: Nidhhi, Janhvi, Anasuya's Fiery hot pics.. Can You Handle It?!
Young beauty Nidhhi Agerwal has once again flaunted her charm. She captivated everyone with her overflowing beauty. In white, red, and black dresses, Nidhhi offered a nice treat to her fans. Her latest photos are going viral on the internet. In these photos, Nidhhi did not hold back any of her allure, mesmerizing netizens with her waist, and midriff. Moving on to her personal details, she was born in Hyderabad. However, Nidhhi's education and growth took place in Bangalore. Starting her career as a model, she participated in the 'Miss Diva Universe 2014' contest and caught everyone's attention. In 2017, she made her Bollywood debut with 'Munna Michael,' captivating everyone with her role as Deepika Sharma. The following year, she greeted Telugu audiences with 'Savyasachi,' earning good marks for her role opposite Naga Chaitanya. Despite 'Savyasachi' receiving a flop talk, she was surrounded by numerous opportunities in Telugu. During this time, she acted opposite Akhil Akkineni in 'Mr. Majnu' under Venky Atluri's direction, charming the audience as Nikitha. She achieved a solid success in Telugu with 'iSmart Shankar,' acting alongside hero Ram. Even after the success of 'iSmart Shankar,' opportunities in Telugu dwindled for her. Thus, focusing on the Tamil industry, Nidhhi Agerwal impressed the audience there with 'Eeswaran' alongside Simbu, and 'Bhoomi' with Jayam Ravi. In 2022, she starred in 'Hero' alongside Mahesh Babu's nephew, Ashok Galla. However, the movie failed at the box office, leaving her disappointed. Currently, Nidhhi Agerwal has two big projects in hand. She is acting alongside Pawan Kalyan in 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' and with Prabhas in 'The Raja Saab.' She has high hopes for these films, believing success in these would cement her place in Tollywood. While actively doing films, she also engages with her fans on social media, frequently sharing hot photo shoots. Currently, she enjoys a massive following on social media, with 28.5 million people following her account on Instagram. On the other hand, popular anchor and actress Anasuya also made headlines with a stunning hot show, throwing a cheeky challenge to netizens with her navel displays. Sharing these photos herself, Anasuya gave her fans a delightful treat, raising temperatures by flaunting her waist and lifting her hands. Rangammatta Stuns Netizens with Her Hot Looks.. Social Media is Ablaze with Comments! Heroines Can't Match Her Glamor, Showered with Praises. Anasuya's career took a significant turn with the movie Rangasthalam. Her performance as Rangammatta captured the industry's attention. Following Rangasthalam, Anasuya was flooded with movie offers. She shined in movies like Meku Matrame Chepta, Kathanam, F2, Chavu Kaburu Challaga, Thank You Brother, Khiladi, and Wanted Pandugadu. Currently, Anasuya has many movies in her kitty. She plays a pivotal role in Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2. Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor also created a sensation on social media today with her beauty parade. In a tight-fit red dress, she set the internet on fire, looking as spicy as a hot chili, igniting young hearts. Netizens are smitten by her stunning outfit, claiming Bollywood has never seen beauty like Janhvi's before. With a series of films in Bollywood, Janhvi Kapoor is soon to make her entry into Tollywood. She's set to debut with Jr NTR in the movie Devara. Rumors suggest she has also bagged a role in Kollywood hero Surya's movie Karna. Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak. However, the average talk of the movie didn't bring her much fame. Gunjan Saxena brought her recognition for her acting, impressing critics with her performance in this biopic. Despite acting in Good Luck Jerry, Mili, and Bawaal, she hasn't achieved significant success. Recently, Janhvi grabbed attention with a special song in the movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Currently, this beauty is busy in Bollywood with the film Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, directed by Sharan Sharma.

Ahimsa Movie Review: Abhiram Shines in a Routine Love Story Directed by Teja
Ahimsa Movie Review: Abhiram Shines in a Routine Love Story Directed by Teja
Cast: Abhiram Daggubati, Geetika Tiwari, Sada, Kamal Kamaraj, Kalpalatha, Ravi Kale, Rajat Bedi Directed by: Teja Music: R.P Patnaik Cinematography: Sameer Reddy The Daggubati family is renowned in Tollywood, with Suresh Babu and Venkatesh leaving a lasting impact on the industry. Rana, the successor to this legacy, has also carved a niche for himself. Now, Rana's younger brother, Abhiram Daggubati, has made his debut in the industry with the film 'Ahimsa,' directed by Teja. The movie released on June 2, and it's time to find out how it fares and if Abhiram delivers his first hit. The Story Raghu (Abhiram Daggubati) is a staunch believer in non-violence. He lives by the principle of not harming even an ant. Raghu is deeply in love with Ahalya (Geetika Tiwari). However, their engagement day takes a horrifying turn when Ahalya is brutally raped by two sons of Dhanalakshmi Dusyanta Rao (Rajat Bedi). Raghu takes legal action against them, with the assistance of lawyer Lakshmi (Sada). In a tragic turn of events, Dushyanta Rao kills Lakshmi's family. The real story unfolds as Raghu, who initially believed in non-violence, faces the dilemma of how to deal with Dushyanta Rao. To know what the hero does, you must watch the movie in theaters. Performances Abhiram delivers an impressive performance in his debut role as the hero. He showcases his talent and acts with conviction in crucial scenes. Considering this is his first movie, his acting can be considered good. Geetika Tiwari shines in her role as the heroine, impressing with both her beauty and acting prowess. However, there are some instances where her performance falls short. Sada excels in her role as a lawyer, and the rest of the cast, including Ravi Kale, do justice to their respective roles. Direction Director Teja chose a promising story but fails to present it effectively. The film lacks the engagement and interest required to captivate the audience. Some scenes may remind viewers of movies like Jayam and Nuvvu Nenu. The film feels overly stretched, and Teja seems to have disregarded logical thinking in some scenes. The inclusion of an item song in the villain's house while the bodies of his sons lie there feels out of place. This may leave the average viewer wanting the movie to conclude quickly. Although the film bears Teja's signature style, routine scenes make it tedious to watch. Technical Aspects In terms of technical aspects, R.P Patnaik's music doesn't leave a lasting impact, although some songs are enjoyable. The song ‘Vundhiley Vundhiley’ stands out with its meaningful lyrics by Chandra Bose. The background music is decent as well. Sameer Reddy's cinematography is a notable highlight, contributing positively to the overall visual appeal of the film. The production values are commendable. Pros Impressive debut performance by Abhiram Good cinematography Some enjoyable songs Cons Stretched screenplay Routine scenes Rating: 2/5

Shahrukh's Jawan movies Smashes Records, but still Telugu titan movies stand tall
Shahrukh's Jawan movies Smashes Records, but still Telugu titan movies stand tall
Shahrukh Khan's fresh-out-of-the-oven movie, 'Jawan', is the talk of the town. On its opening day, this sensation amassed an unbelievable net collection of Rs. 75 crores across all languages in India. If you're keeping track, that's the highest opening-day net collection any movie has seen so far. Before 'Jawan' started breaking records, 'Pathan' held a record with Rs.55 crores, 'KGF 2' with Rs. 54 crores, and 'Bahubali'? A respectable Rs. 41 crores. And here's the cherry on top: globally, 'Jawan' made a jaw-dropping Rs. 125 crores on its debut. Released around Krishnashtami (how timely!), 'Jawan' has already become a blockbuster. And given the buzz around Shahrukh, trade insiders are placing their bets on this one breaking even more records. If we're talking opening-day gross numbers, the grapevine suggests 'Jawan' might have garnered up to Rs. 150 crores globally, but we're all waiting for the official word from the film crew. Now, if you're like me and love rankings, here's a treat for you! A peek at the top-10 Indian films that made big splashes on their debut: RRR (2022) Headlined by the stellar NTR and Ram Charan and orchestrated by the maestro S.S. Rajamouli, 'RRR' set a golden standard by pulling in Rs.223.5 crores on its premiere day. Even trade experts didn't see that coming! Baahubali 2 (2017) Ah, the sensation that was 'Baahubali 2'! With a first-day worldwide collection of Rs. 214.5 crores, it sat comfortably on the throne for a good five years before 'RRR' came into the picture. KGF 2 (2022) Directed by the talented Prashanth Neel and spotlighting Yash as the hero, 'KGF 2' shattered many a record. It bagged a cool Rs.164.5 crores on the very first day, making southern cinema really proud. Adipurush (2023) Om Raut's 'Adipurush', starring Prabhas as Rama and Kriti Sanan as Sita, may have received mixed reviews, but its opening collections told another story, amassing Rs.136.8 crores. Saaho (2019) Prabhas's 'Saaho', where he was paired with the lovely Shraddha Kapoor, made a splash by collecting over Rs 100 crores (Rs. 125.6 crores to be precise) on its debut day. Robot 2.0 (2018) Tamil cinema's megastar, Rajinikanth's 'Robo 2.0', sealed its spot with Rs. 105.6 crores on day one. But it couldn't keep the momentum, sadly. Did we mention Akshay Kumar played the antagonist here? Pathan (2023) Earlier this year, Shahrukh Khan's 'Pathan' raked in a commendable Rs 104.8 crore on its first day. It was a breath of fresh air for Shahrukh and his fans, especially with 'Jawan' further cementing his place. The Jailer (2023) Another one from Rajinikanth, 'Jailer' clocked in Rs.91.2 crore globally on its debut. Interestingly, it's the first Tamil film to reach such heights. Overall? A mind-boggling collection of over Rs.650 crores. Plus, it's rocking the OTT space! Kabali (2016) 'Kabali' might have had a rocky performance but started strong, making Rs.90.5 crore on its opening day. Before 'Jailer', 'Kabali' was Rajinikanth's crowning jewel. Ponnayan Selvan (2022) Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan: Part I' took the box office by storm, collecting a substantial Rs. 83.6 crore. The sequel, 'Ponniyan Selvan Part 2', is already breaking records in Tamil cinema, starring the likes of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, and Sobhita Dhulipalla.

Line Man Review: The Emotional Current of 'Line Man' !
Line Man Review: The Emotional Current of 'Line Man' !
Cast: Thrigun, Kaajal Kunder, Jayashree, Harini Srikant, and others. Director: V. Raghu Shastry Music: Manikanth Kadri Cinematographer: Shanti Sagar H.G. Producer: Ganesh Papanna Release Date: 22-03-2024 In the latest film "Line Man" directed by Raghu Shastry, starring young hero Thrigun and Kaajal Kunder as the lead pair, it was produced under the banner of Purple Rock Entertainers. The film unit has stated that this movie is based on a real incident that happened in Kerala. Released simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada languages today, how did this film turn out? Did it manage to impress the audience? Or not? Let's examine this in this review. What's the Story? Nataraj alias Nattu (Thrigun), whose father worked as a lineman in the electricity department, inherits his job after his sudden death. Consequently, the responsibility of electricity supply in the village falls into Nattu's hands. During this time, he suggests to the villagers to celebrate the 100th birthday of the village deity, Devudamma (B. Jayashree), on a grand scale. The villagers agree and start the preparations. However, they are shocked when Nattu suddenly refuses to provide electricity. Why did Nattu do that? What's Devudamma's reaction? What caused Nattu to cut off the electricity for several days? Did he eventually restore electricity to the village? To know, one must watch the film on screen. How did they Perform? Hero Thrigun perfectly fits into the role of a lineman. As a villager, his natural appearance and expressions were captivating. Heroine Kaajal Kunder, as Devudamma's granddaughter, was okay but her role lacked importance. B. Jayashree, as the 99-year-old Devudamma, delivered an outstanding performance, becoming the film's focal point. Supporting actors like Niviksha Naidu and Harini Srikant, among others, performed well within their roles. How's the Direction? Director Raghu Shastry chose an interesting story for the film. In times when people can hardly bear a power cut for an hour, he explored the scenario of a village facing several days without electricity. The director visually presented the life of village residents and their psyche. He showed how people in villages coped during nights without electricity. A strong reason must be shown for the villagers to adapt to the absence of electricity, and the director managed to convey this emotionally. However, a bit more care in the screenplay would have been better, as some scenes felt dragged. The movie's short duration worked in its favor. As a director, Raghu Shastry made a decent attempt in his first venture. Technically Speaking On the technical front, the team performed well. Cinematographer Shanti Sagar H.G. beautifully captured the village scenes. Manikanth Kadri’s music was good, especially his background score for the emotional scenes added value. The production values were high, showing no compromise on the budget. Positive Points: - Story - Performances by Thrigun and Jayashree - Music Negative Points: - Screenplay - Some dragged scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

"Vyooham" Movie Review: RGV dishes out average fare.
"Vyooham" Movie Review: RGV dishes out average fare.
Cast: Ajmal Ameer, Manasa Radhakrishnan, Rekha Nirosha, Surabhi Padmavathi, Dhanunjay Prabhune, Kota Jayaram, Elena Tuteja, and others. Director: Ram Gopal Varma Music: Balaji Cinematography: Sajish Rajendran Editing: Manish Thakur Producer: Dasari Kiran Kumar The movie "Vyooham," directed by Tollywood's sensational director Ram Gopal Varma, was released worldwide today (March 2). After overcoming numerous obstacles, this film has made its grand entry into theaters in Telugu states. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, this film stars Ajmal and Manasa as the main leads and is produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar under the banner of Ramadhutha Creations. Let's see how the movie is and if it managed to impress the audience. Story The story of "Vyooham" is a compilation of events from the time of YS Rajasekhar Reddy's death until YS Jagan became the Chief Minister. What were the efforts made by CBN (Dhanunjay Prabhune) and Pawan's characters to discredit Jagan? How did Jagan withstand their conspiracies and ascend to the CM's throne with the support of the people? The movie explores the dynamic changes in AP politics during this period. Performance Ajmal Ameer, playing the role of YS Jagan, has completely immersed himself in the character. His acting and expressions brilliantly portrayed Jagan. The movie revolves around Ajmal, and his performance in emotional scenes is particularly commendable. Manasa Radhakrishnan, as Jagan's wife Bharathi, also impressed. Dhanunjay Prabhune, appearing as Chandrababu, maintained a serious look throughout the movie. The actors who played Chiranjeevi and Pawan roles, among others, performed well within the scope of their characters. Direction Director Ram Gopal Varma has attempted to expose the behind-the-scenes political plays from his perspective through this film. He showcased Jagan's character positively while depicting Chandrababu and Pawan in a negative light. The dialogues between Chiranjeevi and Pawan's characters are humorous. However, RGV focused more on criticizing than narrating the movie. Paying attention to the story and screenplay would have been beneficial, especially since the second half feels dragged. This movie might not appeal to those expecting commercial elements but will satisfy a certain audience segment. Technically On the technical front, Balaji's background score is captivating, and Sajish Rajendran's cinematography is commendable. The production values are also quite good for the movie. Plus Points: - Ajmal Ameer's acting - Background music Minus Points: - Lack of commercial elements - Dragged second half - Some overextended scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

"Guntur Kaaram Review: Mahesh Babu Dazzles with Dance and Mass Action!"
"Guntur Kaaram Review: Mahesh Babu Dazzles with Dance and Mass Action!"
Cast: Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Rao Ramesh, Easwari Rao, Murali Sharma, Sunil, and others Director: Trivikram Music: Thaman Cinematography: Manoj Paramahamsa Editing: Naveen Nooli Producer: S. Radhakrishna Production Company: Haarika & Hassine Creations Release Date: January 12, 2024 Mahesh Babu stars in the action drama 'Guntur Kaaram,' directed by Trivikram. Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary play the female leads, with a key role by Ramya Krishnan. With its teaser, trailer, and songs already heightening expectations, this Trivikram-Mahesh combo, their third collaboration, has garnered significant attention. The film released on January 12 as a Sankranti treat. But how does 'Guntur Kaaram' fare? Has Mahesh's mass avatar won hearts? Has Sreeleela captivated with her beauty? Let's find out. Story The story unfolds with Vaira Surya Narayana's (Prakash Raj) daughter, Vasundhara (Ramya Krishnan), winning the MLA seat for the third time, aiming to become a minister. MLA Kata Madhu (Ravishankar) threatens to reveal Vasundhara’s second marriage and her son Ramana (Mahesh Babu) if she doesn’t get the ministerial post. Surya Narayana tries to get Ramana to deny any relation with Vasundhara on legal papers, but Ramana refuses. Despite his father Royal Satyam’s (Jayaram) advice, Ramana stays in Guntur, running a chili yard. What led Vasundhara to divorce her first husband? Why is she indifferent towards Ramana? What’s the love track of Ramana and Ammu (Sreeleela)? And what role does sister-in-law Raji (Meenakshi Chaudhary) play? This forms the crux of the story. Performances Mahesh Babu's role is undoubtedly the highlight of the film. He excels in dance and emotional scenes, showcasing his unique style. Sreeleela shines in dance numbers, especially alongside Mahesh in a mass song. Meenakshi Chaudhary's role is limited. Ramya Krishnan delivers a dignified performance. Prakash Raj and Vennela Kishore offer nothing new. Other actors like Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, and Sunil don’t make a significant impact. Direction Trivikram is known for infusing strong emotions and sharp dialogues in his films, but 'Guntur Kaaram' misses that magic. The plot revolves around a son estranged from his mother for 25 years, yet the bond feels weak. Trivikram seems to fill the film with filler scenes, lacking depth in characters and scenarios, not typical of his caliber. While the film has high energy and some emotional moments, its magic is diluted by weak storytelling and a lack of Trivikram's signature touch. Technically Thaman’s music is impressive, but some songs interrupt the narrative flow. The background score is remarkable. Manoj Paramahamsa’s cinematography is captivating, and Naveen Nooli’s editing is adequate. The production values are high. Plus Points Mahesh Babu’s performanceSreeleela’s dance numbersThe music Minus Points Weak story and screenplayLack of strong emotionsAbsence of Trivikram's trademark style Rating: 3/5

The pre-release promotions featuring Nani and Mrunal Thakur were eye-catching. Let's see how the film turned out and whether it conveys the emotional bond between father and daughter. Plot Viraj (Nani) is a fashion photographer in Mumbai and adores his daughter Mahi (Kiara). He entertains her with stories where he is the hero. One day, when Mahi asks for a story about her mother, Viraj hesitates. This leads Mahi to run away from home. During this, Mahi is saved from an accident by Yashna (Mrunal Thakur). While in a coffee shop, Viraj arrives searching for his daughter and finally tells her the mother's story. What is this story? Who is Varsha? What is the relationship between Yashna and Mahi's mother? How does Yashna fall in love with Viraj? These questions are answered in the film. Performances Nani once again captivates the audience with his performance, especially in the emotional scenes with his daughter. His portrayal of a father's desperation and sorrow is heart-wrenching. Nani and Mrunal Thakur's pairing is commendable, and both have breathed life into their characters. Mrunal Thakur, in particular, stands out in the pre-climax scenes. Baby Kiara is adorable and evokes empathy. Priyadarshi, Angad Bedi, Jayaram, and Viraj Ashwin play key roles effectively. Direction For a debut director, Shouryuv's handling of the film is impressive, presenting the story without confusion or unnecessary violence and romance. However, some spoon-feeding scenes slow down the narrative. The film's emotional content is its strength, with unexpected twists engaging the audience. There are many heartwarming scenes for family audiences. Technical Aspects Technically, the film is excellent with fitting scenes and music enhancing the narrative. Sanu John Varghese's cinematography is a plus, presenting Nani in a new light and capturing the beauty of Mumbai and Goa. Hashim's music is captivating, with the song "Samayama" echoing throughout the film. The production design and editing are well-executed. Plus Points Nani, Mrunal, and Kiara's performances Emotional depth and twists Music Minus Points Predictable story Slow-paced scenes Rating: 3/5

Writing and Direction: Vikram K Kumar Cinematography: Mikolaj Zaigul Music: Ishaan Chabra Producer: Sharath Marar OTT Platform: Amazon Prime Video Episodes: 8 Release Date: December 1, 2023 Director Vikram K Kumar is known for his unique storytelling in movies like '13B', 'Ishq', 'Manam', and '24'. His latest venture into web series with 'Dhootha', directed for the first time, is noteworthy, especially with Akkineni Naga Chaitanya playing the lead role. After '13B', Vikram K Kumar revisits the supernatural genre with 'Dhootha'. How is the series? Did it impress the OTT audience? Let's find out in this review. Story Sagar Varma (Naga Chaitanya) is a journalist working as the chief editor of a newly launched newspaper. One day, he finds a newspaper cutting at a Dhaba predicting the death of a pet dog in a car accident. The series unravels his journey alongside his wife Priya (Priya Bhavani Shankar), PA-cum-journalist Amrutha (Prachi Desai), and DCP Kranti (Parvathy Thiruvothu). Performances Naga Chaitanya excels in his role with grey shades, impressing with his looks and expressions throughout the series. Parvathy Thiruvothu, as SP Kranti, also stands out with her natural acting. Prachi Desai and Priya Bhavani Shankar have limited roles but make their presence felt. Jayaprakash, Ravindra Vijay, Chaitanya, Rohini, Eshwari Rao, Aneesh Kuruvilla, Jeevan Kumar, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla have performed well within their roles. The flashback scenes feature impressive acts from Pasupathi, Tarun Bhaskar, Tanikella Bharani, Raja Gautam, and Satya Krishnan. A scene with Brahmanandam's son, Raja Gautam, is particularly surprising. Direction Vikram K Kumar's directorial skills are evident in this series. The storyline of 'Dhootha' doesn't become clear until a few episodes in, but the director keeps the audience engaged without any dull moments. He uses small twists and turns to maintain interest. The director also throws some light on media-related issues, showing how journalists are becoming pawns in the hands of political leaders. He skillfully portrays the good and bad in journalism, politics, and police systems. However, the length of each episode, ranging from 40-50 minutes, may feel dragged. Overall, Vikram K Kumar's direction receives good marks. Technically 'Dhootha' is technically superior. Mikolaj Zaigul's cinematography is commendable, especially in the scenes shot in the rain. The background score is also pleasing without any jarring sounds, complementing the narrative well. The production values are high. Aadikeshava Review: Mega Nephew Excels in Action Scenes with His 'Rudra Tandav' Performance. How is 'Aadikeshava'?
Cast: Panja Vaisshnav Tej, Sreeleela, Joju George, Sada, Sudarshan, Radhika Sarath Kumar, Jayaprakash, Tanikella Bharani, Suman, Aparna Das, and others. Writer and Director: Sreekanth N. Reddy Cinematography: Dudley Music: GV Prakash Kumar Production Houses: Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas Producers: Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya Release Date: November 24, 2023 Mega Nephew Panja Vaisshnav Tej, who gained a blockbuster hit with his debut movie 'Uppena', didn't achieve the same level of success in his subsequent films. However, he had high hopes for his latest movie 'Aadikeshava'. Different from his past movies, he appeared in a mass look in this one. Did 'Aadikeshava' bring him success? Did the Vaisshnav-Sreeleela pair impress the audience? Let's find out in this review. Story Baloo (Vaisshnav Tej), raised under his mother's shadow, grows up boldly but can't tolerate injustice. He confronts anyone regardless of their power. Forced by his parents, he joins a cosmetic company. He falls in love with the CEO, Chitravati (Sreeleela). A man from Brahmasamudram tells Baloo that he has a different family and his real name is Rudra Kaleswar Reddy. Who is Baloo? What happens when he goes to Brahmasamudram? How does he confront Chengareddy (Joju George), the antagonist causing havoc in the region? To know, one must watch the movie. Review The first half is light-hearted, showing friendship, love, and family scenes in Hyderabad. The story takes a turn at the interval. The second half is all about Baloo's confrontation with Chengareddy. The film follows a pattern - a song when the hero and heroine meet, and a fight when the hero and villain face each other. Performances Vaisshnav Tej has once again proved himself as a good actor. He is entertaining as a lover boy in the first half and shows valor as Rudra Kaleswar Reddy in the second. Sreeleela doesn't have much scope for acting but excels in dance. Radhika, as the hero's mother, impresses. Joju George, as the villain, appears cruel but his character lacks impact. Aparna Das, Suman, Tanikella Bharani, and others performed well within their roles. Sudarshan provided some comic relief. Direction The film has elements of love, family bonds, drama, and politics but director Sreekanth N. Reddy struggled to present them effectively. Apart from a few twists, the story and narration lack novelty, resembling old faction movies. Emotional scenes and suspenseful moments are missing. Despite weak writing, the direction is good. Technically The technical aspects of the film are commendable. Dudley's cinematography is captivating. GV Prakash Kumar's songs aren't memorable, but the background score is good. Other departments also showed good work. Production values are high. Positives Vaisshnav Tej's actingTwistsBackground music Negatives Routine story and narrationLack of emotional depth Rating: 2.5/5

My Name Is Shruthi Movie Review: Hansika's Compelling Performance
My Name Is Shruthi Movie Review: Hansika's Compelling Performance
Cast: Hansika, Muralisharma, Naren, Jayaprakash, Vinodini, Saiteja, Pooja Ramachandran, Prema, Praveen, Rajeev Kankala, etc. Director: Srinivas Omkar Cinematography: Kishore Boidapu Music: Mark K Robin Producer: Burugu Ramya Prabhakar Production Company: Vaishnavi Arts Release Date: 17 November 2023 Hansika, a prominent actress in Tollywood, known for her roles alongside stars like Bunny, Ram, and Nitin, returns with "My Name is Shruti". This film marks her comeback in Telugu cinema after a hiatus, carrying high expectations for success. Let's delve into whether this film has been a triumphant return for Hansika. The Story The film revolves around Shruti (Hansika), an ad agency employee raised by her grandfather and mother after her father's early demise. Her seemingly smooth life with her love, Charan (Sai Teja), takes a dramatic turn when she inadvertently gets entangled in MLA Gurumurthy's (Naren) criminal activities within the skin mafia. The story unfolds Shruti's discovery of Gurumurthy's heinous deeds and her subsequent struggles. The intricacies of the skin mafia and Shruti's counteractions form the core of the narrative. Performance Analysis Hansika Motwani delivers a commendable performance as Shruti. She skillfully portrays the nuances of her character in both romantic and intense scenes. Pooja Ramachandran stands out with her impressive acting skills. Prema, a former lead actress, returns in a multifaceted role. Naren fits comfortably into his role as a leader, while Muralisharma, Jayaprakash, and Praveen contribute effectively in their respective parts. Directorial Perspective Director Srinivas Om Kar explores the leather business's darker side. The film begins with a promising premise of skin grafting but falters in character development and backstory unfolding. The non-linear storytelling approach, alternating between different time frames, tends to confuse rather than clarify. Emotional depth in crucial scenes is lacking, although the second half's twists engage the audience. Technical Aspects From a technical standpoint, the film is commendable. Mark K. Robin's music adds a distinct flavor to the movie, and Kishore's cinematography is noteworthy. However, the production values don't quite match the film's level. Highlights Hansika's actingEngaging plot twistsEffective music score Areas of Improvement Slower first halfUnderdeveloped emotional arcs Rating: 2.5/5 "My Name is Shruthi" showcases Hansika's acting prowess, but the film struggles with pacing and emotional engagement, appealing more to viewers who appreciate a narrative with unexpected twists.
