A tragedy at the festival 12 years ago, which resulted in the death of one of Shiva’s friends due to a caste conflict, leads to a resolution in the Panchayat to halt all election campaigning until the festival concludes. In this film, 11 young actors play the lead roles. Sandeep Saroj as Shiva, Trinath Varma as Subbu, Eshwar Rachiraju as William, and Yashwant Pendyala as Surya have all made commendable efforts to engage the audience with their distinct performances. The acting experience of Sai Kumar, Goparaju Raman, and Kancherapalem Kishore adds depth to the story. Prasad Behara's performance as the elder is captivating; he brings much humor to the comedic scenes and deep emotion to the dramatic ones. Director Yadhu Vamsi navigates the storyline set in the 90s, delicately touching upon the sensitive topic of reservations in society. The screenplay attempts to weave together friendship, love, caste issues, and politics. The dialogues, written in the local dialect of Godavari, and the vividly crafted festival scenes are particularly engaging. The first half progresses swiftly with typical Godavari-style comedy, and the interval builds intrigue. In the second half, the focus shifts more towards emotional scenes, though it feels slower compared to the first half. The scenes leading up to the climax offer a satirical take on today's political leaders. The love stories in the film are left somewhat unresolved, the resolution of the reservations issue is abruptly concluded, and some scenes feel unnecessarily stretched, which could be seen as drawbacks.
Technically
On the technical front, Anudeep Dev’s music stands out as a highlight of the film, especially the background score during the festival scenes. Cinematographer Raju’s camera work is commendable. The editing is adequate. The production values are high, showing that Niharika Konidela did not compromise on the budget.

Performance Analysis
Although there are few characters, each actor delivers a satisfying performance. Master Bhanu Prakash, as Chintu, captivates with his timing and brings laughter. Srujan, as Guddu, also impresses in his performance. Their acting feels very natural and the entire story revolves around them. Mohan Bhagath, known from 'C/o Kancharapalem', plays a significant role and makes his presence felt adequate. Mani Egurla, Anusha Ramesh, Anjimama, and others perform well in their respective roles as per the story's requirements.
Direction
Director Ananth Vardhan has beautifully portrayed the friendship of two young boys against the backdrop of COVID-19 and lockdown. He visually illustrates the struggles middle-class families faced during the pandemic. Starting the story slowly with the background of Chintu and Guddu's families, the director gradually builds interest. The struggles faced by Guddu due to the lack of a smartphone for online classes are touching. The portrayal of Chintu's brother as a modern-day youth is relatable and engaging. The climax is also satisfying. However, the film lacks commercial elements, predictable plot progression, and sometimes takes too long to introduce characters, which can be seen as drawbacks.
Technical Aspects
Technically, the cinematography is good, and the background music is also appealing. The editor has efficiently fulfilled his responsibilities. The production values are apt for the scale of the film.

Plot

Performance
There's nothing new to say about Rao Ramesh's acting; he perfectly embodied the character of Subramanyam throughout the film, utilizing his extensive experience. His son, played by Ankith, was quite captivating. After last week's 'Aay', he has impressed again in this film, and his antics provide a good dose of laughter. Ramya Pasupuleti, who played Kanchana, didn’t have much scope for acting but made a notable attempt at glamor. Indraja's role was limited; apart from being emotional in the beginning and dancing at the end, there wasn’t much for her. Other characters like Praveen, Harshavardhan, and Annapurnamma were satisfactory.
Direction
The director, Lakshman Karya, has woven the narrative around the unemployment struggles of a middle-aged man belonging to the middle class. His incorporation of natural scenarios with a touch of humor has been successful. The sudden change in Subramanyam's demeanor once money is deposited into his account, and the ensuing antics are the highlights. The second part of the movie, revolving around the problems after spending the money, is well-directed. Although predictable, Rao Ramesh’s timing and humor elevate the film. The plot twists in the climax add intrigue, but Ankith’s love track and some illogical scenes and unfunny comedy bits are downsides.
Technically...
On the technical front, every department has performed well. The cinematography is notably colorful, and the songs are pleasant to listen to. The background score effectively elevates the scenes. Editing is also decent. The production values appear quite rich.
