Performances



Raj Tarun delivers a commendable performance in dual dimensions as Rachit Ram, convincingly playing both a billionaire and an unidentifiable common man. Hasini Sudheer, as the village girl Ammu, shines beautifully on screen, and the love scenes between Raj Tarun and Ammu are pleasing. Praveen provides comic relief in the friend’s role, while other comedians like Satya and Brahmanandam shine throughout the film.







Direction



We've seen many films where a wealthy young man lives as a common man for various reasons. Director Ram Bhimana has crafted 'Purushothamudu' in a similar vein. The real story begins when the wealthy hero reaches the village of Rayapulanka. The introductions and romantic scenes with the heroine are engaging. The first half is entertaining with village backdrop comedy, and the hero's stance against injustices in the village makes for an appealing interval bang. However, the narrative seems to lose track in the second half, meandering predictably and boringly without any significant twists. The climax, although predictable, is somewhat saved by Prakash Raj's entry and his impactful dialogues. Director Ram Bhimana fails to bring any novelty to the story or narration.







Technically



Musically, Gopi Sundar’s contributions are just passable, with none of the songs being particularly memorable. The background score is decent. PG Vinda’s cinematography is impressive, capturing the essence of village life beautifully. The editing is adequate, and the production values are suitably high for the film.

Plot

On the other side, Pedda Gangadhari (Yuva Chandra) serves as the keeper of the sacrificial animals and secretly educates his daughter. When Patel finds out, he makes the sacrificial animal disappear. He threatens to sacrifice Gangadhari's daughter if the animal isn't found by the festival. What does Gangadhari do to save his daughter? Is he able to bring back the animal? Ajay, as Patel, delivers a powerhouse performance, surpassing even his impactful role in 'Vikramarkudu.' Newcomer Yuva Chandra excels as Gangadhari, a man desperate to educate his child and improve his village. Despite being his debut, he perfectly fits into his role. Telugu actress Ananya Nagalla gets a substantial role and shines as Bujjamma. Even in a deglamorized role, she delivers an exceptional performance. Singer Noel also got a significant role and did justice to it. Srikanth Iyengar and Chatrapathi Shekhar lived up to their roles, along with other supporting cast members who performed competently within their limits.







Direction



Director Sahith Mothkuri captures the essence of a rural 1980s setting right from the beginning, immersing the audience into that era within the first 20 minutes. He vividly portrays how the oppressed and weak were subdued during the Patel era, focusing on the prejudices rooted in caste and pride. The introduction of characters, the love story between the hero and heroine, and other scenes are well-handled in the first half. However, the second half seems a bit faltering. The director appears to rely too heavily on the villain's oppression to drive emotional engagement, resulting in scenes that sometimes lack logical continuity. Nevertheless, the director succeeds in connecting the audience with the film's underlying message.

On the technical front, the music and cinematography departments have performed well. The songs and background score positively impact the film. How did the Actors Perform?



Sai Ronak, in the role of Chaitanya, was captivating. As a software engineer committed to his family's happiness, he fitted well into his character. Pragya Nagra, as Manasa, impressed with her performance in a significant role. The chemistry between Sai Ronak and Pragya was effective, and both competed well on screen. Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad, as Manasa's father Sadanandam, left his indelible mark. Rohini, as the hero's mother, performed admirably. Raghu Babu, Krishna, LB Sriram, and Kireeti, among others, performed their parts well according to their roles. The rest of the cast was adequate.







How was the Direction?



The director skillfully showcased the wedding traditions and practices of Telangana, illustrating that a marriage is more than just tying knots; it's a heartfelt union between two generations. The first half introduces the hero and the colorful life of software employees. From the moment the marriage agreement is made, traditional Telangana customs are vividly depicted. By the interval, a suspense builds up about whether the wedding will happen, maintaining interest for the second half. The director successfully conveyed why Manasa changes her mind and why Chaitanya decides against the marriage. However, some scenes lacked connectivity, which could be seen as a downside. The long-drawn scenes tested the patience of the audience. The climax scene, involving the handover, resonated well with every young woman and their parents, marking a success for the director.

On the technical front, Mani Sharma’s background score was a significant highlight, enhancing many scenes. The cinematography added another layer of appeal to the film. Charan Arjun’s songs were appealing. Nageswara Rao Bonthala’s editing crisply fit the film’s pace. The production values were also commendable.

Raj Tarun, as Radha, is captivating throughout the film. His acting has more scope compared to his previous films, and his emotional expressions are compelling. Manisha looks beautiful as Krishna, and their chemistry is well-portrayed. Abhirami, as the mother, captures the audience's attention. Even though Singeetam Srinivasa appears only in a few scenes, he leaves a strong impact. Ammu Abhirami, Goparaju Ramana, and Srikanth Iyengar play their parts within their limits. Hyper Aadi and Nellore Sudarshan provide occasional comic relief. The rest of the cast performed adequately within their roles.







Direction



Director J. Sivasai Vardhan crafted this film with a concept of how modern society and women perceive a man aspiring to be like Lord Rama. The first half flows pleasantly with the love track between the hero and heroine and the bond between mother and son, anchored around the lunch box as a medium of their love letters. The twist at the engagement concludes the first half. The second half takes Radha on a background of why he distances himself from women, although it drags compared to the first half. The tests imposed on the hero in a Kerala ashram and the antics of Srikanth Iyengar do not pan out well. The way Radha and Krishna break up also lacks novelty. The climax is another weak point of the film.







Technically



Technically, the cinematographer does a great job with vibrant and fresh visuals. Shekhar Chandra’s music does not leave a lasting impression. The background score is passable, and the editing is fine. The production values are high.

Dev Gill has shown his mark in action scenes. With experience playing villains in various films, he seemed to handle action effortlessly. However, he struggled significantly in love scenes and emotional sequences, failing to express emotions convincingly. Chitra Shukla delivered a solid performance as the heroine, fitting well into her role. Praveen and Tejaswini Pandit, as the villain and ACP Bhavani respectively, were compelling. Posani Krishna Murali and Sayaji Shinde impressed with their seasoned acting. The rest of the cast was satisfactory.







Direction



Directed by Peta Trikoti, the film reminds one of Telugu hits like 'Temper' and 'Pataas.' However, the plot lacks novelty, and the narration isn't engaging. The director failed to extract compelling performances corresponding to the story's demands. The love track between the hero and heroine feels quite tedious, and Dev Gill's romantic looks recall his villain roles. Nonetheless, Trikoti made an effort to showcase his style in the fight scenes, which are somewhat interesting when the hero confronts the villains.

However, the police investigation scenes feel routine and lack logical progression. In the second half, Jagapathi Babu’s entrance as the Forest Man, emphasizing tree conservation and love for nature, brings thought-provoking scenes. Nonetheless, the lack of impactful dialogue means the director’s message doesn’t resonate strongly with the audience. The concept of 'biological memory' is intriguing in the film. A better presentation of the Forest Man episode could have enhanced the impact. Overall, although the movie's concept is interesting, the director fails to effectively convey it to the audience.

On the technical front, Krishna Saurabh’s background music is a highlight, elevating several scenes effectively. Krishnaprasad’s cinematography is commendable, and the editing is adequate. The production values are high.

The funny scenes between Nabha Natesh and Priyadarsi are engaging, though the dubbing for Nabha Natesh's role could have been better. Serial Cases Against RGV



On today's date (November 11), a case was filed against film director Ram Gopal Varma at Maddipadu Police Station in Prakasam District under the IT Act. He posted material during the promotion of the movie 'Vyuhm' that allegedly denigrated Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, Nara Brahmani, and Pawan Kalyan. The Telugu Desam Party's main secretary from Maddipadu Mandal lodged the complaint. Police registered the case and are conducting an investigation. Similarly, a case was also filed against RGV at Talluru Police Station in Guntur District for making indecent posts about Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh. The vice president of the TDP's Farmers Division, Nutalapati Ramarao, filed a complaint today urging action against Varma. Consequently, Tuluru police also registered a case against RGV, who may soon be investigated.







Imminent Arrest of Posani!



Actor Posani Krishna Murali, known for his successful multiple roles in films, joined YSRCP after its establishment and campaigned for Jagan during the 2019 elections. After Jagan became Chief Minister, Posani was even more vocal than YSRCP leaders in targeting Pawan and Chandrababu. He faced accusations of character assassination in several press meets. Posani previously lashed out calling Pawan a mental case and alleging that the Mega family only formed parties for financial gains. He fiercely criticized them, leading to multiple lawsuits filed by Jana Sena supporters and women's groups, which were ignored while YSRCP was in power. Now, with the coalition government in office and revisiting old cases against those who insulted TDP and Jana Sena leaders, there's talk in AP political circles that Posani might be arrested any moment.

Actress Sri Reddy, known for her support of YSRCP, had previously criticized TDP and Jana Sena leaders in her unique style during the last government's tenure. There were instances when she even insulted Pawan Kalyan's mother. With AP police now focusing on those who have engaged in character assassination on social media, Sri Reddy is also likely to be taken into custody soon. Various cases registered against her in different regions are being reviewed by the police. Recently, the actress released a video apologizing and requesting forgiveness from Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan, and Home Minister Anita, pledging not to post any offensive content about them or their family members anymore. The video has become quite trending lately.







Will Actions Be Taken Against Prakash Raj?



Recently, a controversy erupted between Pawan Kalyan and Prakash Raj over comments related to Tirumala laddus and Sanatan Dharma. While Pawan spoke about Sanatan Dharma, Prakash Raj posed several questions on the same platform without directly naming him, using the hashtag #JustAsking. Pawan largely ignored these comments. However, Jana Sena workers and Pawan's fans are highly agitated over Prakash Raj's unrelated criticisms and are demanding action against him on social media. What's the Story

Eight years later, he discovers that Honey is alive and they have a five-year-old daughter named Nadia (Kashvi Majmundar). Bunny who is abroad returns to India to find them. Meanwhile, some are attempting to kill Honey and her daughter. Who are these individuals? What challenges does Bunny face while searching for his wife? What secrets does Honey possess? What is in the armory that the villainous gang seeks?







Performances



In his role as Bunny, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan delivers a solid performance, excelling in action sequences. However, it is Samantha who truly shines in the series. Her acting, alongside her prowess in fight scenes, stands out. She skillfully portrays a secret agent, a lover, and a mother, offering a feast for the eyes in her romantic scenes with Varun Dhawan. Just like in the 'Family Man' series, she also sizzles in hot scenes. The series largely revolves around the screen presence of Varun and Samantha. Samantha captivates with her glamour, while young Kashvi Majmundar profoundly influences the storyline with her emotional performance. Kay Kay Menon, Simran, and the rest of Bunny's team do their roles.







Direction



While 'Citadel: Honey Bunny' doesn't offer much novelty in terms of storyline, the way it is presented and the screenplay are commendable. The directors Raj &amp; DK have cleverly divided each episode into two parts, spanning the years 1992 and 2000, which adds intrigue. They've managed to clearly present the connections between the characters across the timelines without confusion. While the first two episodes are mostly introductory, the story picks up from the third episode. The struggle between Honey-Bunny and the villain gang to seize a world-dominating armored object is captivating. However, the lack of thrilling elements on par with 'Family Man,' the absence of twists, and episodes lasting over 50 minutes each are drawbacks.







Technically..



On the technical front, all departments have performed well. Aman Pant's background score is notable. Johan Herlein's cinematography is a special attraction, capturing fight and chase scenes that will enthrall action lovers. However, more care could have been taken with the editing. The production values adhered to by Russo and Raj DK are commendable.
