The main roles are played by Pavan Sidhu and Soniya  Singh, who have previously starred together in several short films and are rumored to be a couple in real life. How does the series fare? How captivating is their chemistry? Let's find out in this review. What's the Story? Madan (Pavan Sidhu) from Warangal lives with his brother's family and earns money through betting. He falls in love with Sasi (Soniya Singh) from Hyderabad. After losing a significant amount of money in betting, Madan encounters difficulties. When he learns that Sasi's family will be away for ten days for a wedding, he decides to visit her. However, on the night he arrives, the wedding is canceled, and her family unexpectedly returns. How did Madan manage to evade Sasi's family? What challenges did he encounter? How did he interfere with Sasi's arranged marriage prospects? Did Sasi's family eventually accept their marriage? These questions form the crux of the series plot. Performances The acting of Soniya Singh and Pavan Sidhu is a major highlight of the series. Their real-life relationship adds an authentic touch to their on-screen chemistry. They both delivered charming performances. Pradeep, who plays Sasi's father, excels with his comedic timing, while Ashok Chandra adds an emotional touch in the grandfather role. Keshav Deepak, as Madan's brother, and Roopa Lakshmi, as the family matriarch, among others, effectively contribute to the series. Direction Director Winod Gali successfully crafted a charming love story series, diverging from the usual bold suspense thrillers. Although the plot is conventional, he managed to keep it captivating. The intrigue surrounding what happens next, especially after the hero becomes trapped in the heroine's house, holds the audience's attention. The comedic tension that emerges as Madan attempts to hide with Sasi's assistance adds entertainment value. However, some scenes feel repetitive and the series suffers from a lack of visual variety because it is set in a single location. The screenplay could have been improved. Technically Musically, Sinjit Yerramilli did well, especially with two songs that stand out. The background score is adequate. The cinematography is also good, providing fresh visuals suitable for a love story. The production values are high. His interactions with Brahmanandam, who hurts his ego, lead to hilarious scenes involving a group of beggars following him. The comedy scenes between Ali and Brahmanandam played a significant role in the film's success. Himalaya Baba (Desamuduru) In 'Desamuduru', starring Allu Arjun, Ali appears as a Baba performing penance in the Himalayas. He gradually reveals why he became a Baba, creating excitement among the audience. Every scene feels like a climax, eliciting laughter. The scenes related to this character still have a following among the audience. Goli (Devudu Chesina Manushulu) In this film, also a collaboration between Ravi Teja and Puri, Ali plays an unusual character named Goli, who excessively worships as the son of the goddess Lakshmi. Although Lakshmi Devi (Kovai Sarala) tries to help him by giving him opportunities, his foolishness turns them into comedic situations. Performance There's nothing new to say about Rao Ramesh's acting; he perfectly embodied the character of Subramanyam throughout the film, utilizing his extensive experience. His son, played by Ankith, was quite captivating. After last week's 'Aay', he has impressed again in this film, and his antics provide a good dose of laughter. Ramya Pasupuleti, who played Kanchana, didn’t have much scope for acting but made a notable attempt at glamor. Indraja's role was limited; apart from being emotional in the beginning and dancing at the end, there wasn’t much for her. Other characters like Praveen, Harshavardhan, and Annapurnamma were satisfactory. Direction The director, Lakshman Karya, has woven the narrative around the unemployment struggles of a middle-aged man belonging to the middle class. His incorporation of natural scenarios with a touch of humor has been successful. The sudden change in Subramanyam's demeanor once money is deposited into his account, and the ensuing antics are the highlights. The second part of the movie, revolving around the problems after spending the money, is well-directed. Although predictable, Rao Ramesh’s timing and humor elevate the film. The plot twists in the climax add intrigue, but Ankith’s love track and some illogical scenes and unfunny comedy bits are downsides. Technically... On the technical front, every department has performed well. The cinematography is notably colorful, and the songs are pleasant to listen to. The background score effectively elevates the scenes. Editing is also decent. The production values appear quite rich. For the answers, one must visit the theaters. Performances This is Tamil actor Vinoth Kishan’s first direct film in Telugu. He fits well into the role of Lakshman, convincingly playing the part of a husband wasting time building castles in the air. On the other hand, Anusha Krishna excels as Varalakshmi, portraying the struggles of a middle-class wife with natural ease. Rithika Srinivas also delivers a solid performance as the NRI lady. The movie primarily revolves around these three characters. Other actors in the film also impress within their roles. Direction Director Neelagiri Mammilla has attempted to showcase the lives of the impoverished in the slums of Hyderabad through this film. 'Peka Medalu' conveys that just like the castles in the air, the lives of those who believe in them are similarly intangible. The film depicts how the circumstances in the slums lead children astray while also infusing humor to carry the middle and lower-class emotions. Furthermore, the director has made efforts to portray women's empowerment, suggesting that nothing is impossible with hard work. The first half of the movie flows smoothly, though the second half feels a bit dragged. However, the scenes from the pre-climax to the end title elevate the film to another level. The absence of commercial elements, a routine story, and some scenes feeling repetitive are drawbacks of the movie. Technically On the technical front, the music is good. The editor could have been sharper, especially in making some scenes in the second half crisper. The cinematography is commendable, and the production values are high, giving even this small-scale film a rich look.
