Love Reddy Movie Review: A Heartwarming Tale of Love and Honor
Cast: Anjan Ramachandra, Shravani Reddy, N.T. Ramaswami, Ganesh D.S., Ravi Kalabrahma, Vani Gouda, and others. Written and Directed by: Smaran Reddy Music by: Prince Henry Cinematography by: Mohan Chari, Askar Ali Editor: Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao Producer: Hemalatha Reddy Release Date: October 18, 2024 Anjan Ramachandra and Shravani Reddy lead in Smaran Reddy’s 'Love Reddy', with N.T. Ramaswami, Ganesh D.S., Ravi Kalabrahma, and Vani Gouda in supporting roles. The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, garnered high expectations among the audience, especially after the recent trailer spiked interest. Let’s see how it fared with the audience as it released on October 18. The Story Narayana Reddy (Anjan Ramachandra), at 30, is still unmarried. Despite numerous matchmaking attempts by his family, he rejects every proposal, claiming none of the girls meet his expectations. One day, he falls in love with Divya (Shravani Reddy) at first sight on a bus. Transforming into 'Love Reddy', he sees her as his world. Divya befriends Narayana but rejects his love proposal. Even though she likes Love Reddy, why did Divya reject him? What twist does Divya's entry bring to Narayana Reddy’s life? Does their love story end happily? The film must be watched to find out. Performance Analysis All actors in 'Love Reddy' are relatively new. Anjan Ramachandra impresses as the lovelorn Narayana Reddy, especially given that this is his first film, captivating with his natural acting. Shravani Reddy justifies her role as Divya. N.T. Ramaswami, playing Divya's father, catches everyone’s attention, especially with the twist he introduces in the climax. Jyothi Madan, as the girl who likes the hero, and the actor playing the hero’s brother, among others, performed well within their roles. Direction Analysis Director Smaran Reddy has crafted a pure love story revolving around the critical issue of honor and prestige. Though the story is routine, it's presented with a natural flair of Andhra-Karnataka locality. Starting with a matchmaking scene, the director makes the narrative engaging once the protagonist becomes 'Love Reddy'. However, his efforts to express his love come off as somewhat clichéd. The curiosity of whether Divya will reciprocate Love Reddy's feelings keeps the first half engaging. The second half, dealing with the rejection of his love and the reasons behind it, connects well with today's youth. The last 20 minutes are emotionally driven, making the climax particularly impactful. Overall, Smaran Reddy has marked a good score as a director. Technical Aspects On the technical front, Prince Henry's music is a major strength to the film, bringing scenes to life with his distinctive background score. The songs are appealing. The cinematography is commendable, richly presenting each frame. The editing is adequate, and the production values are high. Plus Points - Acting - Emotions - Music Minus Points - Routine story - Dragged scenes in the first half Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5

Ties and Tangles: The Marital Saga of the Akkineni Family
Ties and Tangles: The Marital Saga of the Akkineni Family
Tollywood actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and renowned actress Sobhita Dhulipala are soon to be united in marriage. Their engagement ceremony was recently held in the presence of family members, a grand affair announced personally by Akkineni Nagarjuna, which quickly went viral. However, Naga Chaitanya was previously married to star actress Samantha. Due to disagreements, they separated. With Naga Chaitanya's recent engagement, the topic of his divorce has resurfaced. There is also a discussion online suggesting that marriages do not seem to last in the Akkineni family, with netizens recalling that nearly four couples within the family have gone through divorces. Let's now look into the details of these instances. The Akkineni Family Even before the divorce between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, four other couples in the family had already ended their marriages. The legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Annapurnamma had five children, among them, Akkineni Nagarjuna became a well-known actor. Their eldest son, Akkineni Venkat, produced several films. Their daughter, Satyavati's children, Sumanth and Supriya, are also well-recognized in the Telugu film industry. Another daughter, Nagasusheela's son Sushanth, is also making his mark as an actor. https://twitter.com/iam_strganesh/status/1821881385251991843 Nagarjuna’s Divorce Sumanth’s Divorce Sumanth, the nephew of Nagarjuna and son of Satyavati and Surendra Yarlagadda, was doing well in his career when he fell in love with actress Keerthi Reddy, famed for 'Tholi Prema'. They married in August 2004 but, for unknown reasons, divorced two years later. Keerthi Reddy settled in Bangalore, while Sumanth has remained single and is recently becoming busy with films again. Tragedy in Supriya’s Life Sumanth's sister, Supriya Yarlagadda, also faced a similar situation. She debuted as an actress in the movie 'Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi', starring Pawan Kalyan. Later, she distanced herself from acting and got more involved in film production. Eventually, she married an actor named Charan Reddy with the approval of her elders, but their marriage did not last long. Charan Reddy passed away due to health issues, and since then, she has been living alone. Cancellation of Akhil’s Marriage Before the marriage of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, Akhil Akkineni was ready to tie the knot. His engagement also took place with Shriya Bhupal, a relative of Ram Charan’s wife Upasana. However, this did not lead to marriage. For some reasons, Akhil and Shriya's wedding was canceled. Following the cancellation, Shriya Bhupal married another man, while Akhil has been striving for success in the film industry. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s Divorce In 2017, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha got married in Goa, after a love that blossomed following their acquaintance during the making of the movie ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ in 2010. After seven years of being in a relationship, they got married and were recognized as Tollywood’s cute couple. Unexpectedly, they divorced in 2021, shocking fans and the entire cinema world. At that time, Samantha was heavily criticized, with some blaming her bold roles in films post-marriage as the reason for their separation.

Thiragabadara Saami Movie Review: A Tale of Love and Valor
Thiragabadara Saami Movie Review: A Tale of Love and Valor
Cast: Raj Tarun, Malvi Malhotra, Mannara Chopra, Ankita Thakur, Makarand Deshpande, Pragathi, Raja Ravindra, John Vijay, Prithvi, Tagubothu Ramesh, and others Director: A.S. Ravi Kumar Music: JB Cinematography: Jawahar Reddy Producer: Malkapuram Shiva Kumar Release Date: August 2, 2024 Amid controversies, the new youth-centric film "Thiragabadara Saami," starring Raj Tarun and directed by A.S. Ravi Kumar, is released Today. Raj Tarun is joined by Malvi Malhotra and Mannara Chopra, who play the lead roles. Other significant characters are portrayed by Makarand Deshpande, Raja Raveendra, and Pragathi. The film, however, has been embroiled in scandal, with Raj Tarun's ex-girlfriend Lavanya accusing him of infidelity and being romantically involved with Malvi Malhotra. Released on August 2, amidst these controversies, "Thiragabadara Saami" has generated significant interest. How did the film fare, and was it able to engage the audience? Let's explore in this review. Plot Giri (Raj Tarun) is a very timid person who is afraid of everything and generally unresponsive to his surroundings. In contrast, Shailaja (Malvi Malhotra) is bold and aggressive. She doesn't hesitate to fiercely deal with anyone who teases her. A romance develops between these two with very different personalities. But how does Giri cope with controlling Shailaja? What challenges do their love face? Why did the usually calm Giri have to fight back? What did he do to win his love? You'll have to watch the movie to find out. Performances Hero Raj Tarun has fully immersed himself in the role of Giri. Initially portrayed as an innocent, he later transforms into a lover who fights for his beloved against all odds, showing great variation in two dimensions. Particularly in action sequences, Raj excels, showcasing an intensity never seen before in his career. Malvi Malhotra perfectly embodies Shailaja, making a strong impression in her Telugu film debut. The on-screen chemistry between Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra works very well. Second heroine Mannara Chopra also delivers an outstanding performance. John Vijay, Raghubabu, Ankita Thakur, Pragathi, and Raja Raveendra do their roles effectively. Direction Director A.S. Ravi Kumar has crafted this film as a love and action entertainer. The first half smoothly progresses with the introduction of the hero and heroine and their love track, entertaining with comedy arising from Shailaja dominating Giri. Their chemistry ensures that the first half never drags. A twist at the interval heightens interest for the second half, which is filled with hero elevations and action sequences, keeping the audience engaged. However, some scenes might feel boring, and certain fight scenes seem over-the-top for Raj Tarun's persona, lacking logical connection. Emotional scenes also did not resonate as well. Those looking for a solid action entertainer will enjoy "Thiragabadara Saami." Technically... On the technical front, the background music provided by JB is a significant asset, elevating the action sequences to another level. However, the songs are not particularly memorable. The cinematography is also commendable, and the editing is adequate. The production values are high. Plus Points - Raj Tarun's acting - Love track - Action sequences Minus Points - Non-effective emotional scenes - Some boring scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Bench Life Series Review: A Relatable Tale for IT Professionals with Stellar Performances
Bench Life Series Review: A Relatable Tale for IT Professionals with Stellar Performances
Cast: Vaibhav Reddy, Ritika Singh, Charan, Akanksha Singh, Nayan Sarika, Rajendra Prasad, Tanikella Bharani, Venkatesh Kakumanu, and others. Writer and Director: Manasa Sharma Cinematography: Dhanush Bhaskar Music: P.K. Dandi Producer: Niharika Konidela Production Company: Pink Elephant Pictures OTT Platform: SonyLIV Release Date: September 12, 2024 After the recent release and success of 'Committee Kurrollu,' which featured new actors and a fresh storyline, Niharika Konidela received commendations. This set high expectations for her newly produced web series 'Bench Life,' centered around the struggles of software employees, directed by Manasa Sharma against an IT backdrop. The series stars Vaibhav Reddy, Charan Peri, Ritika Singh, and Akanksha Singh in leading roles and began streaming on SonyLIV from September 12. Let’s delve into this review to see if 'Bench Life' is another hit in Niharika's account. What’s the Story? Balu (Vaibhav Reddy), Ravi (Charan Peri), and Meenakshi (Ritika Singh) are employees at a prominent software company and also good friends. Balu has been in love with Esha (Akanksha Singh), a colleague, for nine years but has never confessed his feelings. Meanwhile, Meenakshi dreams of becoming a director and circulates her scripts among producers. In the meantime, Ravi plans a trip to Goa with his wife (Nayan Sarika) and two friends, prompting the three friends to go on the bench. What happens after they go on the bench? What role does Prasad Vashisht (Rajendra Prasad) play in the company? What causes discord between Ravi and his wife? Did Ravi confess his love to Esha? What happened to Esha’s dream of becoming a director? To find out, one must watch the series. How Did They Perform? Vaibhav, as Balu, delivers a commendable performance, generating plenty of laughs with his comedic timing. Akanksha Singh, as his love interest, played her part well, captivating as a reserved young woman unable to express her inner feelings. The highlight of the series might be said to be the duo Charan Peri and Nayan Sarika, whose performances along with their scenes together are highly entertaining. Ritika fits perfectly into the role of Meenakshi, a young woman struggling to break free from an unsatisfying job to pursue her dreams of directing. Tulasi justly fulfills her role, while Rajendra Prasad once again charms with his comedic timing and emotional delivery. Tanikella Bharani, though in a brief role, makes a significant impact at a crucial moment in the story. Niharika Konidela, Sangith Shoban, and Venkat make memorable appearances in guest roles. How Was the Direction? Director Manasa Sharma has crafted the series in a way that connects well with the youth, particularly software employees, developing each character with a purposeful arc. The finale provided for the characters of Charan Peri and Nayan Sarika is particularly well-done. However, the endings given to Ritika Singh and Akanksha Singh's characters feel overly cinematic and lack naturalness. The comedy track between Rajendra Prasad and Vaibhav Reddy is a significant plus, as are the sentimental scenes involving Rajendra Prasad and Nayan Sarika. Overall, director Manasa Sharma has earned commendable marks, though the coarse language used by Vaibhav and the series’ appeal primarily to IT professionals could be seen as drawbacks. Technically... On the technical front, the cinematographer has done an excellent job presenting the software office environment effectively. The background music is also praiseworthy. Other departments like art work and production design have shown solid performance, reflecting high production values. Plus Points - Performances of the main cast - Directional skills - Comedy elements Minus Points - Occasionally bold dialogues - Appeal mainly limited to IT professionals Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 3/5

Cast: Hima Dasari, Pooja Reddy Bora, Osman Ghani, and others Director: Ruthvik Yelagari Music: Sai Teja Cinematographer: C.H. Sai Editor: Jai C. Sreekar Art Director: Aravind Mule Producer: Manasa Dasari OTT Platform: ETV Win Recently, OTT platforms have been home to many unique stories, with ETV Win bringing a different movie every week to entertain its audience. This week, the suspense thriller 'Tatva' was released directly on OTT. Featuring Hima Dasari and Pooja Reddy Bora as leads, directed by Ruthvik Yalagiri, this hour-long film has hit the screens, but did it win over the OTT audience? Let’s find out in this review. What’s the story? Arif (Hima Dasari) is a regular taxi driver who suddenly finds himself in need of money. In this quest, businessman Thomas (Osman Ghani) rides in Arif’s taxi. Realizing Thomas has the money he needs, Arif plans to get it by any means necessary. Unexpectedly, Thomas is murdered during their interaction, and Arif gets entangled in the case. Police officer Jyotsna (Pooja Reddy Bora) steps in to investigate. Who killed Thomas? How is Arif involved? What is the relationship between Thomas and Arif? Is Arif innocent? The answers unfold only through watching the movie. How did they perform? Although Hima Dasari is the main hero, it’s Osman Ghani who steals the show as Thomas. His portrayal adds depth to the character, making even a smile resonate with underlying intentions. Hima Dasari also captivates as Arif, bringing to life the struggles of a young man. Pooja Reddy landed a significant role, which seems straightforward at first but takes a surprising turn at the climax, pivotal in twisting the story. The film primarily revolves around these three characters, with other actors performing well within their roles. How’s the direction? Having worked as an assistant director for movies like 'Run Raja Run' and 'Saaho,' Ruthvik brings a unique style to this thrilling cinema. The film, which explains the fading humanity within individuals, starts grippingly, especially the first 20 minutes. Ruthvik aims to deliver his points without confusion, wrapping up the film in just 58 minutes, a definite plus. However, some scenes stray from logic and feel incomplete, which could have been refined for better impact. Those expecting commercial elements like songs, fights, romance, or love tracks might find it less appealing. Overall, Ruthvik’s directorial effort is commendable. Technically speaking, The cinematography is notable, especially considering most of the film takes place at night, delivering good visuals even in low light. The background music also strengthens the film's atmosphere. Editing is decent, and production values are high. Technically, 'Tatva' scores well. Plus points: - Characters of Arif and Thomas - Camera work - Background music Minus points: - Lack of commercial elements - Some incomplete climax scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

Maa Nanna Superhero Review: A Touching Father-Son Story – Is This Sudheer Babu's Comeback?
Maa Nanna Superhero Review: A Touching Father-Son Story – Is This Sudheer Babu's Comeback?
Cast: Sudheer Babu, Sayaji Shinde, Harshith Reddy, Aamani, Raj Sundaram, Shashank, Sai Chand, Arna, Chandra Vempati, and othersDirector: Abhilash KankarMusic: Jai KrishnaCinematography: Sameer KalyaniEditing: Anil Kumar. PProducer: Sunil BalusuRelease Date: October 11, 2024 'Maa Nanna Super Hero' is a film starring Sudheer Babu in the lead role, directed by Abhilash Reddy Kankar. Arna plays the female lead, and Sayaji Shinde and Sai Chand appear in key roles. The movie, released on October 11 as a Dasara gift, had premiered a day before. So, how is this movie? Did the father-son sentiment strike a chord with the audience? Did it bring success to Sudheer Babu, who has been struggling with a series of flops? Let's find out in this review. Plot Prakash (Sai Chand) is a truck driver whose wife dies after giving birth to their child. Unable to take care of the newborn, Prakash leaves the child in an orphanage and goes away for work. Unexpectedly, he gets arrested and ends up spending 20 years in jail. On the other hand, a stockbroker named Srinivas (Sayaji Shinde) adopts the child, Johnny (Sudheer Babu). Since Johnny’s arrival, Srinivas's life has turned upside down, leading to financial troubles. He blames Johnny for his misfortune and harbors resentment towards him, while Johnny still loves Srinivas deeply and tries to pay off his debts while taking care of him. Meanwhile, Srinivas ends up owing a powerful politician one crore rupees. At the same time, Johnny meets his biological father, Prakash. What happens next? How does Johnny work to pay off Srinivas's debt? Does Srinivas finally understand Johnny’s love? To find out, you need to watch the movie. Performance Analysis In 'Maa Nanna Superhero,' Sudheer Babu presents a different side compared to his previous films. Known for showcasing his physique in action movies, this time, he impresses with his mature acting, bringing out the emotions perfectly and striving for recognition as a complete actor. Sayaji Shinde gives a good performance as the foster father, though his character lacks depth. Sai Chand, as the biological father, lives the role with his trademark acting. Most of the important scenes revolve around these three characters. Arna, as the heroine, doesn’t have much importance in the story but manages to make an impression with her glamour in some scenes. The rest of the cast has done a decent job within their scope. Direction For those who have watched Tamil and Malayalam films and wondered why such feel-good movies aren't made in Telugu, this film will bring joy. Director Abhilash Kankar chose an emotionally touching story. The plot revolves around the emotional journey of a father separated from his child at a young age and the complexities of a foster father-son relationship. However, the director took considerable time to establish Johnny's love for his father. Only after the emotional buildup does the real story begin. The first half focuses on Sudheer Babu and Sayaji Shinde's relationship, while Sai Chand's character comes into play in the second half, making it more emotional. The last 20 minutes are particularly heart-wrenching for the audience. The slow pace of the narration and lack of commercial elements are the negatives. Technical Aspects In terms of technical aspects, Jai Krishna's background score is a big plus for the film. The cinematography is also impressive. However, the editing could have been better. Trimming some lagging scenes would have improved the film. Plus Points StorySudheer Babu's performanceBackground score Minus Points Slow narrationLack of commercial elements Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Director: Sam Antone Music: Hip-hop Tamizha Cinematography: Krishnan Vasant Editor: Ruben Producer: K.E. Gnanavel Raja Release Date: August 2, 2024 After a considerable hiatus, Mega Hero Allu Sirish makes his comeback with the film 'Buddy', starring alongside heroines Gayatri Bharadwaj and Prisha Singh. He excels in the action sequences, showing great maturity as an actor in this film. Gayatri Bharadwaj captivates with her glamour, charming the audience every moment she's on screen. Ajmal Amir, as the villain, matches well against Sirish, impressing with his acting. Second heroine Prisha Singh delights as an air hostess. The other actors also performed commendably within their roles. How's the Direction? Director Sam Antone made an effort to craft a unique story with this film. The love track between Allu Sirish and Gayatri Bharadwaj is beautifully executed. The scenes that show their connection despite being physically apart are particularly entertaining for the youth. The film keeps the audience engaged with 'Kalki' and 'Jai Balayya slogans' that add energy. The action sequences involving Buddy and Allu Sirish are enjoyable. However, the director failed to maintain suspense about what happens next, with the scenes being predictable. Some irrelevant comedy scenes caused viewer fatigue. An attempt to inject humor into the crucial climax was unnecessary. Technically... Technically speaking, Hip-hop Tamizha's background music is a strong addition, enhancing the action scenes, although the songs themselves are not very memorable. Krishnan Vasant's cinematographer is commendable. Editor Ruben could have sharpened his cuts a bit more. Better output from the graphics department would have added value to the film. Production values are satisfactory. Plus Points - Allu Sirish's acting - The love track - Action sequences with Buddy Minus Points - Screenplay - Lack of suspense - Some boring scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

'Viswam' Movie Review: Can Gopichand and Srinu Vaitla Break Their Dry Spell?
'Viswam' Movie Review: Can Gopichand and Srinu Vaitla Break Their Dry Spell?
Cast: Gopichand, Kavya Thapar, Naresh, Mukesh Rishi, Jisshu Sengupta, Vennela Kishore, Sunil, Sham, Pragathi, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, Prithvi, and others. Director: Srinu Vaitla Music: Chetan Bharadwaj Cinematography: K. V. Guhan Editing: Amar Reddy Producers: Venu Donepudi, T.G. Vishwa Prasad Release Date: October 11, 2024 The latest film 'Viswam' directed by Srinu Vaitla and starring popular actor Gopichand, jointly produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Venu Donepudi, with Kavya Thapar as the heroine, is a test to regain success after both have experienced a drought in hits. Released on October 11, did 'Viswam' bring them the success they were hoping for? Let's find out in this complete review. Plot In Hyderabad, a federal minister (Suman) is murdered. Assassins chase a child who witnessed the murder, intending to kill her. However, Gopireddy (Gopichand), who is acquainted with the child’s family, saves her multiple times from danger. There is a reason behind Gopireddy's acquaintance with the family. What is that reason? Why did Gopireddy distance himself from Samaira (Kavya Thapar) whom he met in Italy? Who really is Gopireddy? Why is he trying to save the child? What is Gopireddy's background? To find out, one must go to the theaters. Performance Actor Gopichand captivates with his settled acting and impresses in action sequences, proving his comedy timing once again with 'Viswam'. However, his role does not offer much variety compared to his previous films; it feels quite routine. Heroine Kavya Thapar doesn’t have much scope in acting but scores well on the glamour front. Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Sunil, and Rahul Ramakrishna bring laughter in the film, especially in the train episode. Other characters have performed well within their roles. Direction Having directed blockbusters like 'Anandam', 'Sontham', 'Venky', 'Dhee', 'Ready', and 'Dookudu', Srinu Vaitla had lost his track recently. Recognizing his strengths and weaknesses, he brought 'Viswam', a mix of action and comedy, back to the audience. However, choosing an outdated story for this film could be seen as a drawback. Punches and the comedy track are the strengths of the film, particularly the sequences involving Vennela Kishore and Prithvi that are sure to leave the audience in splits. The Italy track and the villain’s character feel weak. The hero-heroine love track also feels repetitive. However, the interval scene and the climax manage to engage. Technically On the technical front, Chetan Bharadwaj’s music is decent with two or three good songs, and the background score elevates the scenes well. K.V. Guhan’s cinematography is also commendable. Editing by Amar Reddy could have been sharper. The production values are high, giving each scene a rich look. Plus Points - Gopichand’s acting - Comedy - Background music Minus Points - Outdated story - Dragged scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

"Hide N Seek" Review: A Gripping Crime Thriller with Unexpected Twists and Turns
"Hide N Seek" Review: A Gripping Crime Thriller with Unexpected Twists and Turns
Cast: Viswant Duddumpudi, Shilpa Manjunath, Rhea Sachdeva, Tejaswini Naidu, Viva Raghav, Sumanth Varela, and others. Written and Directed by: Basireddy Rana Music by: Lijo K. Jose Editor: Amar Reddy Kudumula Producer: Narendra Buchireddygari Release Date: September 20, 2024 Viswant Duddumpudi, known from movies like 'Kerintha' and 'Manamantha', is now featured in the film 'Hide N Seek'. Produced under the banner of Sahasra Entertainments by Narendra Buchireddygari and directed by Basireddy Rana, this film has raised expectations with its teasers and trailers. Released in theaters this Friday (September 20), let’s see how much it managed to entertain the audience. What is the Story About? The story unfolds in the backdrop of Kurnool. Shiva (Viswant Duddumpudi) is a medical student aspiring to become an army doctor. He is in love with Varsha (Rhea Sachdeva), who studies in the same college. In the meantime, a series of inexplicable murders start shaking up the city. A delivery boy is inexplicably beaten to death with a rod. Similar baseless murders spread fear across the city. To solve these serial murder mysteries, police officer Vaishnavi (Shilpa Manjunath) steps into the scene. However, Shiva discovers clues that even the police can't seem to find, leading them to suspect him as the psycho killer. Who framed Shiva in these murders? Who is behind these serial killings? To uncover these mysteries, one must watch the movie. How Did They Perform? Young actor Viswant Duddumpudi delivers an excellent performance in the role of Shiva, showcasing his emotional depth well. Kannada actress Shilpa Manjunath looks convincing as a sincere police officer, carefully matching her Telugu dialogues. Rhea Sachdeva, playing the heroine, is limited to a few scenes. Actor Saksi Shiv adds great value to his negative character with his deep voice and compelling acting, making a significant impact. Other actors performed adequately within their roles. How is the Direction? Director Basireddy Rana successfully crafts this film as an investigative crime thriller. From the opening scene to the end, he manages to keep the audience glued to their seats. The screenplay is gripping, especially from the first murder to the climax, presenting unforeseeable twists. The way characters are designed and integrated into the story is impressive, with an intriguing link to ancient stories. However, placing this modern warfare in a small city like Kurnool doesn't seem entirely convincing. The film struggles to establish the extent of youth addiction to gaming, and sometimes the portrayal of human emotions falls flat. Overall, the film will appeal to fans of crime investigation movies. Technically Speaking Technically, the cinematography is commendable. Lijo K. Jose’s background music is a significant plus, enhancing the suspense elements effectively. The editing is adequate, and the production values are quite good. Plus Points - Viswant Duddumpudi’s acting - Novelty in the story - Thrilling elements Minus Points - Weak drama - Some unclear scenes Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5

Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam Movie Review: A Glimpse into the Struggles of Middle-Aged Unemployment
Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam Movie Review: A Glimpse into the Struggles of Middle-Aged Unemployment
Cast: Rao Ramesh, Indraja, Ankith Koyya, Ramya Pasupuleti, Harshavardhan, Ajay, Annapurnamma, Praveen, and others Written and Directed by: Lakshman Karya Music by: Kalyan Nayak Cinematography by: M.N. Bal Reddy Edited by: Bonthala Nageswara Reddy Presented by: Tabitha Sukumar Co-producers: Rushi Marl, Shivaprasad Marl Produced by: Bujji Rayudu Pentyala, Mohan Karya Release Date: August 23, 2024 Starring Rao Ramesh in the lead role, the film 'Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam' is directed by Lakshman Karya. Indraja, Ankith Koyya, and Ramya Pasupuleti play key roles. The film is presented by prominent director Sukumar's wife, Tabitha Sukumar. The presence of Allu Arjun at promotional events significantly attracted audience attention. Let's find out if the film was entertaining through this review. Plot Subramanyam (Rao Ramesh), a resident of Maruthi Nagar, was selected for a teaching job in 1998. However, due to a court stay, the job was put on hold indefinitely. Since then, he has resolved not to take up any other work and lives unemployed. His wife, Kalarani (Indraja), works as a clerk in a government office. They have a son, Arjun (Ankith Koyya), who falls in love with Kanchana (Ramya Pasupuleti) at first sight. Amidst hardships, one day, unexpectedly, Subramanyam's account receives ₹10 lakhs. Who deposited the money? Did Subramanyam finally get his government job or not? What did his son do to win his love? You'll have to watch the movie to find out. Performance There's nothing new to say about Rao Ramesh's acting; he perfectly embodied the character of Subramanyam throughout the film, utilizing his extensive experience. His son, played by Ankith, was quite captivating. After last week's 'Aay', he has impressed again in this film, and his antics provide a good dose of laughter. Ramya Pasupuleti, who played Kanchana, didn’t have much scope for acting but made a notable attempt at glamor. Indraja's role was limited; apart from being emotional in the beginning and dancing at the end, there wasn’t much for her. Other characters like Praveen, Harshavardhan, and Annapurnamma were satisfactory. Direction The director, Lakshman Karya, has woven the narrative around the unemployment struggles of a middle-aged man belonging to the middle class. His incorporation of natural scenarios with a touch of humor has been successful. The sudden change in Subramanyam's demeanor once money is deposited into his account, and the ensuing antics are the highlights. The second part of the movie, revolving around the problems after spending the money, is well-directed. Although predictable, Rao Ramesh’s timing and humor elevate the film. The plot twists in the climax add intrigue, but Ankith’s love track and some illogical scenes and unfunny comedy bits are downsides. Technically... On the technical front, every department has performed well. The cinematography is notably colorful, and the songs are pleasant to listen to. The background score effectively elevates the scenes. Editing is also decent. The production values appear quite rich. Plus Points - Rao Ramesh's acting - Comedy - Climax Minus Points - Ankith's love track - Predictable narrative Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 3/5

Simbaa Movie Review: Supernatural Thrills Meet Crime Drama in 'Simbaa'
Simbaa Movie Review: Supernatural Thrills Meet Crime Drama in 'Simbaa'
Cast: Jagapathi Babu, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Vashistha N. Simha, Divi Vadthya, Kabir Duhan Singh, Sreenath Maganti Director: Murali Manohar Music: Krishna Saurabh Producers: Sampath Nandi, D. Rajendra Reddy Release Date: 09-08-2024 The film 'Simbaa,' directed by Murali Manohar and featuring Jagapathi Babu and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key roles, falls under the supernatural crime thriller genre. This cinema has been co-produced by prominent directors Sampath Nandi and Dasari Rajendra Reddy and was released to audiences on August 9. Let's evaluate the film's impact and its reception among the viewers in this review. Plot In Hyderabad, a key figure from the Partha Group is murdered. During the investigation of this case, another individual from the same group is also killed. The police conclude that a school teacher, Akshika (Anasuya), and an investigative journalist, Fazil (Sreenath Maganti), are involved. They are arrested, but amidst their custody, another murder occurs in full view of everyone. A prominent doctor's involvement complicates the case further. What is the motive behind these murders? Why are individuals associated with Partha (Kabir Singh) being targeted? What is the connection of the Forest Man, Purushottam Reddy (Jagapathi Babu), to these murders? What conflicts exist between him and Partha? The film must be watched to uncover these answers. Performances Jagapathi Babu, in the role of Purushottam Reddy, captures the audience with his commanding presence and excels in action sequences. Anasuya delivers a compelling performance as teacher Akshika, embodying her character flawlessly. Divi, Sreenath Maganti, and Vashistha Simha also engage well in their roles, with Vashistha Simha's portrayal as the investigative officer being particularly notable. Senior actors Gautami and Kasturi add charm in secondary roles. Kabir, portraying the antagonist, was adequate. The rest of the cast performed well within their roles. Direction Director Murali Manohar has attempted to blend environmental themes into a crime and investigative story. The introduction of Anasuya’s character, the love track between Divi and Sreenath Maganti, and the dual murder events are well-handled in the first half. However, the police investigation scenes feel routine and lack logical progression. In the second half, Jagapathi Babu’s entrance as the Forest Man, emphasizing tree conservation and love for nature, brings thought-provoking scenes. Nonetheless, the lack of impactful dialogue means the director’s message doesn’t resonate strongly with the audience. The concept of 'biological memory' is intriguing in the film. A better presentation of the Forest Man episode could have enhanced the impact. Overall, although the movie's concept is interesting, the director fails to effectively convey it to the audience. Technically On the technical front, Krishna Saurabh’s background music is a highlight, elevating several scenes effectively. Krishnaprasad’s cinematography is commendable, and the editing is adequate. The production values are high. Plus Points - Performances by Jagapathi Babu and Anasuya - The environmental message - The secondary meanings Minus Points - Lack of engaging narrative - Dragged scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

    Shivam Bhaje Movie Review
Cast: Ashwin Babu, Digangana Suryavanshi, Hyper Aadi, Arbaaz Khan, Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmaji Director: Abdul Apsar Hussain Music: Vikas Badisa Editor: Chota K. Prasad Producer: Maheshwara Reddy Release Date: August 01, 2024 The latest film starring Ashwin Babu, who is the brother of well-known anchor and director Ohmkar, is titled 'Shivam Bhaje.' Digangana Suryavanshi plays the lead female role. Directed by Abdul Apsar Hussain, the movie also features notable actors such as Hyper Aadi, Arbaaz Khan, Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, and Brahmaji in significant roles. The promotional materials, trailer, and teaser have significantly raised expectations for this film, which was released on August 1. Let's explore how the film fared and whether it succeeded in captivating the audience. Plot Chandu (Ashwin Babu) works as a loan recovery agent. During his job, he falls in love with Shailaja (Digangana Suryavanshi), who works in a chemical lab. Due to an incident, Chandu loses his sight. Following a dramatic event blessed by Lord Shiva, an operation restores his vision. However, after regaining his sight, Chandu begins to see various visuals. Whose eyes did Chandu receive? What are these visuals he sees? Why does a mere recovery agent end up fighting with enemy nations? What deed did Chandu perform with the grace of Lord Shiva? What role does Dogra (a dog) play in the story? To find out, one must watch the movie. Performances Ashwin Babu delivers a remarkable performance in the role of Chandu, showcasing great versatility across two dimensions. Digangana Suryavanshi captivates the audience as Shailaja. The chemistry between Ashwin and Digangana is effectively established. Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan impresses in his role as a police officer, and comedian Hyper Aadi elicits laughter with his impeccable timing. Seasoned actors Brahmanandam and Murali Sharma mesmerize with their performances, while other actors adequately fulfill their roles. Direction Director Abdul Apsar Hussain commendable intertwines mystery and devotional elements. Some suspense scenes in this crime drama are quite engaging. The storyline woven around international espionage also pleases, though the screenplay falters at times. The narrative could have been presented more effectively on screen. The subplot involving murders seems rather weak. Chandu's character could have been made more powerful. Some scenes lack logical coherence. The slow pace of the story and a lack of engaging elements in the first half are drawbacks. Unrelated scenes test the audience's patience. Technically On the technical front, Dasarathi Shivendra’s cinematography is impressive. He beautifully presents key scenes, especially in the second half. Vikas Badisa’s music is decent. Chota K. Prasad’s editing is also commendable. The production values are high. Plus Points - Ashwin Babu’s acting - Suspense scenes - Climax Minus Points - Slow narration - Lack of engaging elements - Irrelevant scenes Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5

Cast: Priyadarshi, Nabha Natesh, Brahmanandam, Vishnu, Krishna Teja, Ananya Nagalla, Muralidhar Goud, among others. Written and Directed by: Aswin Ram Music by: Vivek Sagar Cinematography: Naresh Ramadurai Dialogues by: Hemanth Producers: K. Niranjan Reddy, Chaitanya Reddy Release Date: July 19, 2024 The unique romantic comedy entertainer 'Darling' starring Priyadarshi and Nabha Natesh, and directed by Aswin Ram, has already captivated audiences with its promotional material. Produced under the banner of PrimeShow Entertainment by K. Niranjan Reddy and Mrs. Chaitanya Reddy, the film released worldwide on July 19th.. Plot Since childhood, Raghav (Priyadarsi) has dreamed of marriage and a honeymoon. Working as an agent in a travel agency, he finally seems poised to realize this dream when he becomes engaged to Nandini (Ananya Nagalla), a psychologist chosen by his father (Muralidhar Goud). However, his plans unravel when Nandini leaves him at the altar for another man. Heartbroken and on the brink of despair, Raghav's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Anandi (Nabha Natesh). The two quickly fall in love and marry, but on their wedding night, Raghav discovers that Anandi has multiple personality disorder, hosting five distinct personalities: Aadi, Maya, Jhansi, Papa, and Srisri. The unfolding challenges Raghav faces with Anandi’s complex condition promise a story filled with intrigue and emotion. To uncover the full story, one must head to the theaters. Performance Priyadarsi, once again, charms as Raghav, fitting perfectly into his role with his distinctive comedic timing, delighting the audience. Nabha Natesh excels in a challenging role with various facets, carrying the film on her shoulders with a career-best performance. She brilliantly displays the variations of her split personalities. The funny scenes between Nabha Natesh and Priyadarsi are engaging, though the dubbing for Nabha Natesh's role could have been better. Supporting actors like Ananya Nagalla and Muralidhar Goud play their parts within limits. Guest appearances by Suhas, Brahmanandam, and Niharika Konidela also shine. Direction Director Aswin Ram attempts to present the complex concept of multiple personality disorder in a humorous light. The first half is swiftly paced with sequences of wedding preparations, a halted marriage, a suicide attempt, and the quick marriage to Anandi all unfolding in an entertaining manner. While the first half thrills and amuses the audience, the story seems to dull down in the second half. The backstory of the heroine and the repetitive narrative might bore the audience. The climax is particularly confusing. Despite the innovation, director Aswin Ram struggles to keep the film engaging throughout. Technically On the technical front, the cinematography is a major plus for the film, providing fresh visuals. Vivek Sagar’s music, however, does not make a significant impact. The editing could have been tighter. The production values are high, with no compromises on the budget. Plus Points - Performances by Priyadarsi and Nabha Natesh - Comedy - Cinematography Minus Points - Second half - Screenplay - Music Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

Prabhas to Play Parashurama in Upcoming Mythological Epic 'Ramayana'?
When you think of Prabhas, his physique is what immediately comes to mind for everyone. His stature has greatly aided his rise as a Pan-India star. When Prabhas performs an action sequence, it feels real to the audience. Not just action, his stature fits well even for mythological characters. Prabhas has already appeared as Lord Rama in 'Adipurush,' as Karna in 'Kalki 2898 AD,' and there's talk that he will be seen as Nandi in the upcoming 'Kannappa.' Amidst this, there’s exciting news related to Prabhas that he will also be portraying Parashurama soon. Let's dive into the details now. Prabhas as Parashurama! It’s known that a movie titled 'Ramayana' is currently being filmed in Bollywood, with Ranbir Kapoor playing Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The director, Nitesh Tiwari, wants to make the wedding scene of Sita and Rama a visual feast. In this context, the character of Parashurama is crucial, being the avatar that precedes Rama in the dashavatara (ten incarnations) of Vishnu. Nitesh thinks it fitting that a star of equal stature to Ranbir, who is playing Rama, should portray Parashurama. Hence, he is considering Prabhas for this role. There’s buzz in B-Town that Prabhas has been approached for this. Bollywood circles suggest that Prabhas has agreed to the role, with an official announcement expected soon. However, his role in the film is said to be brief but impactful. Star Couples as Villains Prabhas is set to work on a film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga (of 'Animal' fame), titled 'Spirit.' The script phase is already underway. Recently, there have been substantial reports that Kareena Kapoor will be acting in this film and that Saif Ali Khan will play a villain. The latest buzz is that Kareena Kapoor will also portray a character with negative shades in 'Spirit.' Real-life couple Kareena and Saif are rumored to be playing villains in this film, which awaits further confirmation. Police vs Mafia Don! 'Spirit' is rumored to feature Prabhas in a dual role, stirring strong buzz. The script work is said to be complete, with only the dialogues left to be finalized. If rumors are to be believed, Prabhas will be seen as a police officer in one role and as a mafia don in another, with the latter having negative shades. Fans are confident that if this turns out to be true, it will be a blockbuster at the box office. In celebration of Prabhas’s birthday on October 10, a special poster is expected to be released, with 'Spirit' set to go on floors by January 25 of the next year. Meanwhile, Prabhas has previously done dual roles in movies like 'Billa,' 'Baahubali,' and 'Baahubali 2,' and is rumored to be doing the same in the upcoming 'Raja Saab.' Periodical Love Story! Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi are known to be teaming up for a film. Recently, a puja ceremony was held concerning this movie, which is rumored to be a period action love drama. Set against the backdrop of the Razakars era, during the time of Hyderabad's accession to India, director Hanu Raghavapudi has reportedly crafted a beautiful love story. The film, tentatively titled 'Fauji' (meaning soldier), will reportedly feature Prabhas as an Indian paramilitary soldier.
