Released on August 2, amidst these controversies, "Thiragabadara Saami" has generated significant interest. How did the film fare, and was it able to engage the audience? Let's explore in this review. Plot Giri (Raj Tarun) is a very timid person who is afraid of everything and generally unresponsive to his surroundings. In contrast, Shailaja (Malvi Malhotra) is bold and aggressive. She doesn't hesitate to fiercely deal with anyone who teases her. A romance develops between these two with very different personalities. But how does Giri cope with controlling Shailaja? What challenges do their love face? Performances Hero Raj Tarun has fully immersed himself in the role of Giri. Initially portrayed as an innocent, he later transforms into a lover who fights for his beloved against all odds, showing great variation in two dimensions. Particularly in action sequences, Raj excels, showcasing an intensity never seen before in his career. Malvi Malhotra perfectly embodies Shailaja, making a strong impression in her Telugu film debut. The on-screen chemistry between Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra works very well. Second heroine Mannara Chopra also delivers an outstanding performance. John Vijay, Raghubabu, Ankita Thakur, Pragathi, and Raja Raveendra do their roles effectively. Direction Director A.S. Ravi Kumar has crafted this film as a love and action entertainer. The first half smoothly progresses with the introduction of the hero and heroine and their love track, entertaining with comedy arising from Shailaja dominating Giri. Their chemistry ensures that the first half never drags. A twist at the interval heightens interest for the second half, which is filled with hero elevations and action sequences, keeping the audience engaged. However, some scenes might feel boring, and certain fight scenes seem over-the-top for Raj Tarun's persona, lacking logical connection. Emotional scenes also did not resonate as well. Those looking for a solid action entertainer will enjoy "Thiragabadara Saami." Technically... On the technical front, the background music provided by JB is a significant asset, elevating the action sequences to another level. However, the songs are not particularly memorable. Let’s delve into this review to see if 'Bench Life' is another hit in Niharika's account. What’s the Story? Balu (Vaibhav Reddy), Ravi (Charan Peri), and Meenakshi (Ritika Singh) are employees at a prominent software company and also good friends. Balu has been in love with Esha (Akanksha Singh), a colleague, for nine years but has never confessed his feelings. Meanwhile, Meenakshi dreams of becoming a director and circulates her scripts among producers. In the meantime, Ravi plans a trip to Goa with his wife (Nayan Sarika) and two friends, prompting the three friends to go on the bench. What happens after they go on the bench? What role does Prasad Vashisht (Rajendra Prasad) play in the company? What causes discord between Ravi and his wife? Did Ravi confess his love to Esha? Vaibhav, as Balu, delivers a commendable performance, generating plenty of laughs with his comedic timing. Akanksha Singh, as his love interest, played her part well, captivating as a reserved young woman unable to express her inner feelings. The highlight of the series might be said to be the duo Charan Peri and Nayan Sarika, whose performances along with their scenes together are highly entertaining. Ritika fits perfectly into the role of Meenakshi, a young woman struggling to break free from an unsatisfying job to pursue her dreams of directing. Tulasi justly fulfills her role, while Rajendra Prasad once again charms with his comedic timing and emotional delivery. Tanikella Bharani, though in a brief role, makes a significant impact at a crucial moment in the story. Niharika Konidela, Sangith Shoban, and Venkat make memorable appearances in guest roles. How Was the Direction? Director Manasa Sharma has crafted the series in a way that connects well with the youth, particularly software employees, developing each character with a purposeful arc. What’s the story? Arif (Hima Dasari) is a regular taxi driver who suddenly finds himself in need of money. In this quest, businessman Thomas (Osman Ghani) rides in Arif’s taxi. Realizing Thomas has the money he needs, Arif plans to get it by any means necessary. Unexpectedly, Thomas is murdered during their interaction, and Arif gets entangled in the case. Police officer Jyotsna (Pooja Reddy Bora) steps in to investigate. Who killed Thomas? How is Arif involved? What is the relationship between Thomas and Arif? Is Arif innocent? The answers unfold only through watching the movie. How did they perform? Although Hima Dasari is the main hero, it’s Osman Ghani who steals the show as Thomas. Performance Analysis In 'Maa Nanna Superhero,' Sudheer Babu presents a different side compared to his previous films. Known for showcasing his physique in action movies, this time, he impresses with his mature acting, bringing out the emotions perfectly and striving for recognition as a complete actor. Sayaji Shinde gives a good performance as the foster father, though his character lacks depth. Sai Chand, as the biological father, lives the role with his trademark acting. Most of the important scenes revolve around these three characters. Arna, as the heroine, doesn’t have much importance in the story but manages to make an impression with her glamour in some scenes. The rest of the cast has done a decent job within their scope. Direction For those who have watched Tamil and Malayalam films and wondered why such feel-good movies aren't made in Telugu, this film will bring joy. Director Abhilash Kankar chose an emotionally touching story. The plot revolves around the emotional journey of a father separated from his child at a young age and the complexities of a foster father-son relationship. However, the director took considerable time to establish Johnny's love for his father. Only after the emotional buildup does the real story begin. The first half focuses on Sudheer Babu and Sayaji Shinde's relationship, while Sai Chand's character comes into play in the second half, making it more emotional. The last 20 minutes are particularly heart-wrenching for the audience. The slow pace of the narration and lack of commercial elements are the negatives.
