The main roles are played by Pavan Sidhu and Soniya  Singh, who have previously starred together in several short films and are rumored to be a couple in real life. How does the series fare? How captivating is their chemistry? Let's find out in this review. What's the Story? Madan (Pavan Sidhu) from Warangal lives with his brother's family and earns money through betting. He falls in love with Sasi (Soniya Singh) from Hyderabad. After losing a significant amount of money in betting, Madan encounters difficulties. When he learns that Sasi's family will be away for ten days for a wedding, he decides to visit her. However, on the night he arrives, the wedding is canceled, and her family unexpectedly returns. How did Madan manage to evade Sasi's family? What challenges did he encounter? How did he interfere with Sasi's arranged marriage prospects? Did Sasi's family eventually accept their marriage? These questions form the crux of the series plot. Performances The acting of Soniya Singh and Pavan Sidhu is a major highlight of the series. Their real-life relationship adds an authentic touch to their on-screen chemistry. They both delivered charming performances. Pradeep, who plays Sasi's father, excels with his comedic timing, while Ashok Chandra adds an emotional touch in the grandfather role. Keshav Deepak, as Madan's brother, and Roopa Lakshmi, as the family matriarch, among others, effectively contribute to the series. Direction Director Winod Gali successfully crafted a charming love story series, diverging from the usual bold suspense thrillers. Although the plot is conventional, he managed to keep it captivating. The intrigue surrounding what happens next, especially after the hero becomes trapped in the heroine's house, holds the audience's attention. The comedic tension that emerges as Madan attempts to hide with Sasi's assistance adds entertainment value. However, some scenes feel repetitive and the series suffers from a lack of visual variety because it is set in a single location. The screenplay could have been improved. Technically Musically, Sinjit Yerramilli did well, especially with two songs that stand out. The background score is adequate. The cinematography is also good, providing fresh visuals suitable for a love story. The production values are high. Recently, this movie has been dubbed into Telugu as 'Bhargavi Nilayam' and brought to OTT on Aha. How does the film fare? Does it engage the Telugu OTT audience? Let’s find out in this review. The Story 'Bhargavi Nilayam' is set in a small village near the seaside, where the titular mansion has been abandoned for many years. In this context, a writer named Basheer (Tovino Thomas) arrives in the village. Unaware of the mansion's haunted history, he rents it. How did her lover Shivakumar (Roshan Mathew) mysteriously disappear? How does Basheer uncover the mystery of this tragic love story? That forms the crux of the narrative. Performance Tovino Thomas excels in the role of the writer. His appearance and dialogue delivery are notably different from his previous films, bearing the weight of the movie on his shoulders. He leaves his mark in key scenes. The love pair, Reema Kallingal and Roshan Mathew, perform adequately. Shine Tom Chacko delivers a compelling performance as the villain, leaving a strong impact. Other actors perform well within their roles. Direction While Aashiq Abu has chosen a routine story for the movie, he succeeds in making the narrative engaging. The scenes depicting the tragic life of a couple, uncovered by a writer, are captivating. The segments where the hero enters the haunted house and the villagers scare him with dreadful tales are intriguing, maintaining suspense about what will happen next. The horror elements introduced occasionally do instill fear. The friendship between the hero and the ghost before the interval sets up an engaging second half. In the latter part, the director reveals the love story of Bhargavi and Shivakumar, and the villain behind their tragic fate. The climax shows Bhargavi’s revenge drama in an interesting manner. However, the routine storyline, boring love track, and standard horror scenes could be seen as negatives. Technically On the technical front, the cinematographer does an excellent job. His camera work effectively recreates the atmosphere of the 1960s. The background music also adds value to the film. The editing is adequate, and the production values are fitting for the film. Directed by Ram Bhimana and starring actress Hasini as the female lead, this film tests Raj Tarun's ability to rebound. Let’s see if it has succeeded in giving him a hit in this review. What's the story? Rachit Ram (Raj Tarun) was born a billionaire, the sole heir of Aditya Ram (Murali Sharma), who heads PR Groups. After completing his education abroad, Aditya decides to entrust his son with the CEO responsibilities. However, Rachit's aunt Vasundhara (Ramya Krishnan) objects to this. According to company rules, a candidate for CEO must live incognito as a common man for 100 days. Rachit agrees to this and steps outside his comfort zone. He travels to a remote village in Andhra Pradesh named Rayapulanka. What twists did Rachit’s life take there? What adventures did he undertake to save the village farmers? And what is his love story with Ammu? That forms the rest of the story. Performances Raj Tarun delivers a commendable performance in dual dimensions as Rachit Ram, convincingly playing both a billionaire and an unidentifiable common man. Hasini Sudheer, as the village girl Ammu, shines beautifully on screen, and the love scenes between Raj Tarun and Ammu are pleasing. Praveen provides comic relief in the friend’s role, while other comedians like Satya and Brahmanandam shine throughout the film. Direction We've seen many films where a wealthy young man lives as a common man for various reasons. Director Ram Bhimana has crafted 'Purushothamudu' in a similar vein. The real story begins when the wealthy hero reaches the village of Rayapulanka. The introductions and romantic scenes with the heroine are engaging. The first half is entertaining with village backdrop comedy, and the hero's stance against injustices in the village makes for an appealing interval bang. However, the narrative seems to lose track in the second half, meandering predictably and boringly without any significant twists. The climax, although predictable, is somewhat saved by Prakash Raj's entry and his impactful dialogues. Director Ram Bhimana fails to bring any novelty to the story or narration. Technically Musically, Gopi Sundar’s contributions are just passable, with none of the songs being particularly memorable. The background score is decent. PG Vinda’s cinematography is impressive, capturing the essence of village life beautifully. The editing is adequate, and the production values are suitably high for the film. Plot Prakash (Sai Chand) is a truck driver whose wife dies after giving birth to their child. Unable to take care of the newborn, Prakash leaves the child in an orphanage and goes away for work. Unexpectedly, he gets arrested and ends up spending 20 years in jail. On the other hand, a stockbroker named Srinivas (Sayaji Shinde) adopts the child, Johnny (Sudheer Babu). Since Johnny’s arrival, Srinivas's life has turned upside down, leading to financial troubles. He blames Johnny for his misfortune and harbors resentment towards him, while Johnny still loves Srinivas deeply and tries to pay off his debts while taking care of him. Performance Analysis In 'Maa Nanna Superhero,' Sudheer Babu presents a different side compared to his previous films. Known for showcasing his physique in action movies, this time, he impresses with his mature acting, bringing out the emotions perfectly and striving for recognition as a complete actor. Sayaji Shinde gives a good performance as the foster father, though his character lacks depth. Sai Chand, as the biological father, lives the role with his trademark acting. Most of the important scenes revolve around these three characters. Arna, as the heroine, doesn’t have much importance in the story but manages to make an impression with her glamour in some scenes. The rest of the cast has done a decent job within their scope. Direction For those who have watched Tamil and Malayalam films and wondered why such feel-good movies aren't made in Telugu, this film will bring joy. Director Abhilash Kankar chose an emotionally touching story. The plot revolves around the emotional journey of a father separated from his child at a young age and the complexities of a foster father-son relationship. However, the director took considerable time to establish Johnny's love for his father. Only after the emotional buildup does the real story begin. The first half focuses on Sudheer Babu and Sayaji Shinde's relationship, while Sai Chand's character comes into play in the second half, making it more emotional. The last 20 minutes are particularly heart-wrenching for the audience. The slow pace of the narration and lack of commercial elements are the negatives. Technical Aspects In terms of technical aspects, Jai Krishna's background score is a big plus for the film. The cinematography is also impressive. However, the editing could have been better. Trimming some lagging scenes would have improved the film.
