What’s The Film Like?



Director Venkat Prabhu’s storyline doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Movies featuring a hero working in defense and the villain raising the hero’s son only to turn him against his father have been quite common. However, the scenes written about the son’s revenge seem interesting. The first half is mostly spent introducing the hero and other characters, with the story unfolding predictably until the pre-interval. The interval scene sets up an intriguing second half. Though the second half also largely unfolds as expected, the director successfully crafted an engaging climax. The twists in the second half will surprise the audience. The film’s comedy and dialogues are deeply infused with Tamil elements, which might not appeal as much to the Telugu audience. However, for Vijay's fans, this film is sure to be a treat.

Direction



Director Sudheer Varma opted for a routine story for ‘Appudo Ippudo Eppudo’ but managed to infuse his mark through storytelling and screenplay. Notably, he introduces the story from the perspective of a third person (comedian Satya), which adds interest. However, the two love tracks between the hero and heroines feel tedious. The introduction of the hero and his first love track make the first half feel slow, while the second half is somewhat better. The director struggles with key scenes, and the twists reveal poorly. Nevertheless, he manages to keep the film afloat to some extent with the comedy of Harsha Chemudu, Satya, and Sudarshan. The film lacks commercial appeal, and weak action sequences are additional drawbacks.

In 'Devara,' Tarak was paired with Janhvi Kapoor, and Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan played the villain. In terms of collections, the film has grossed ₹466 crore worldwide within these 10 days. The makers have released a special poster to announce this achievement. With blockbuster collections, the movie continues to perform well in theaters. In the Telugu states alone, the film grossed ₹193.55 crore, with Karnataka contributing ₹16.40 crore, Tamil Nadu ₹4 crore, Kerala ₹92 lakhs, and the rest of India, including Hindi regions, adding ₹29.80 crore. The Performances



Ashok Galla clearly worked hard for his role as Krishna, and his efforts are evident on screen. Compared to his previous film, Ashok has improved in both acting and body language. His performance in key emotional scenes is commendable. Manasa Varanasi impresses as the heroine, and her chemistry with Ashok works well. However, she falters in conveying deeper emotions in certain scenes. Devadatta Nage delivers a solid performance as the antagonist, while Devayani does justice to her role as Kamsaraju’s sister. Jhansi shines as the hero’s mother, while supporting actors like Sanjay Swaroop, Shatru, Sridhar Reddy, and Getup Srinu play their parts adequately.







The Direction



Despite a premise with potential, Prasanth Varma’s story lacks depth. While mythology is woven into the narrative, it feels disjointed and fails to sync with the storyline. Director Arjun Jandyala missed the opportunity to create magic in the screenplay, which falls flat and lacks intrigue. Certain scenes promote superstitions rather than adding value to the narrative. The love track between the lead pair feels underwhelming, and the action sequences between Krishna and Kamsaraju fail to make an impact. Some scenes intended to elevate Krishna’s character come across as overly dramatic. Overall, the direction leaves the audience bored at several points.



Technical Aspects



On the technical front, Bhims Ceciroleo’s music is a major asset. His background score elevates the action sequences significantly. Prasad Murella’s cinematography is impressive, capturing the essence of the scenes well. Editor Thimmaraju’s work is satisfactory. Performances



Actor Chandrahass has brought the same attitude to the screen that made him popular, proving to be the film’s strength. Despite this being his first film, his acting is captivating. He performed confidently, excelling in dances and fight scenes, and also impressed in romantic scenes. Vismaya Sri as Shailu looked adorable, and the other three women involved with Bunny were adequate. Muralidhar Goud, playing Bunny's father, contributed well with his comedic timing. Other supporting actors were passable.







Direction



Director Srinivas Mehta crafted 'Ramnagar Bunny' in a way that appeals to the youth, seemingly writing the story just for Chandrahass. He combined a simple story with an excellent screenplay to deliver full-on entertainment. He successfully portrayed Chandrahass not as a superhero but as a regular young man wandering the streets, which really worked. The film maintains a light-hearted tone throughout, with comedy scenes, a few emotional scenes, four songs, and two fight sequences, making it a perfect commercial film. However, Chandrahass's inexperience shows in dragged scenes and emotional sequences, which can be seen as a minus.







Technically



On the technical front, three songs were quite good, and the background music was engaging. The cinematography was also well-done. However, drone shots of Hyderabad city and selfie visuals in one song didn't quite work out. The editing was okay, and the production values were good.
