Aham Reboot OTT Review: Sumanth's Solo Act—Did the Experiment Work?
Aham Reboot OTT Review: Sumanth's Solo Act—Did the Experiment Work?
Cast: Sumanth Writer and Director: Prashanth Sagar Atluri Music: Sriram Madduri Cinematography: Varun Ankarla Editing: Murali Krishna Manyam Visual Effects: Shashwat Kaurav Producers: Raghuveer, Srujan OTT Platform: Aha The film 'Aham Reboot,' directed by Prashanth Sagar Atluri and starring Sumanth , was initially completed some time ago and was intended for a theatrical release. However, due to certain reasons, it was quietly released on the OTT platform Aha on June 30. This psychological thriller has made its way to streaming. Did it manage to impress OTT viewers? Did it provide another success for Sumanth? Let’s find out in this review. What’s the Story? Nilay (Sumanth), who dreamt of being a football player, turns into a radio jockey following an accident. One day while in the studio, he receives a call from a girl claiming she has been kidnapped. Initially dismissing it as a prank, Nilay is eventually convinced by her words and decides to go live. The police, listening to the radio, start believing that the girl has indeed been kidnapped and begin efforts to save her. They assign the task of gathering information about the kidnapped girl to Nilay, who is in the studio. Who is this girl? Was she really kidnapped? How do the police save her? Who is the girl Nilay lost in an accident? Is there any connection between her and the kidnapped girl? You'll have to watch the movie to find out. How Did They Perform? In the movie 'Aham Reboot,' Sumanth is a one-man show. He is the only character visible throughout the movie; all other characters are just heard. Sumanth captivates with his performance, embodying a modern young man carrying an unspoken sorrow and striving to save a girl's life as a radio jockey. He effectively conveys emotions and carries the story on his shoulders. Visually, Sumanth presents a new look in this movie. How’s the Direction? Directing a movie with just one character is akin to walking a tightrope, especially when the entire story unfolds in a single location. In this challenging endeavor, director Prashanth Sagar Atluri has managed to achieve a notable level of success. The narrative begins with a phone call from a girl claiming she has been kidnapped. The director skillfully guides the plot from gathering her details to forwarding them to the police, who then initiate a rescue operation. This approach keeps the narrative tight and engaging. A twist at the end that links Nilay's life to the kidnapped girl adds an intriguing element. However, the film's reliance on only Sumanth's character and dialogue to drive the story might seem monotonous to some viewers. For those with the patience, 'Aham Reboot' offers a compelling thriller experience. Technically... On the technical front, the background music is a significant plus for the movie. Sriram Madduri’s BGM elevates the thrilling scenes further. With just one character, the editing needed to be crisp, which worked out well. The production values are commendable. Plus Points - Sumanth’s acting - Innovative storytelling - Background music Minus Point - The entire movie revolves around just one visible character Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Ranjith was a struggle of an oppressed class during the British era, highlighting racial discrimination. The world and characters created by the director transport the audience to a new realm. The people's attire and societal depiction are immersive. The journey of Thangalaan with the British in search of gold, and the challenges they face en route, build suspense. The scenes before the interval raise expectations for the second half, which, however, feels a bit detached as the story progresses. The pre-climax fight between the British, Thangalaan, and the tribal community leads to confusion, blurring the line between Thangalaan's dreams and reality. Yet, the director delivers a satisfying conclusion in the climax by revealing another dimension of Thangalaan's character. Technically Speaking Technically, the film is robust in many aspects. The costumes, makeup, and art departments have outdone themselves for this movie. The music by GV Prakash Kumar also complements the narrative well. The production values are high. Plus Points: - Story and narration - Performances by Vikram and Malavika - Fantasy elements Minus Points: - Pacing in the second half - Slow narration Telugu.YouSay.tv Rating: 3/5

Aay Movie Review: Another small scale hit comedy
Aay Movie Review: Another small scale hit comedy
Cast: Narne Nithiin, Nayan Sarika, Kasireddy Raj Kumar, Ankith Koya, and others Director: Anji K Maniputra Music Directors: Ram Miriyala, Ajay Arasada Cinematography: Sameer Kalyani Producers: Bunny Vas, Vidya Koppineedi NTR's brother-in-law, Narne Nithiin, stars in his second film, 'Aay'. After achieving a solid hit with the film 'Mad', this young hero is set to impress the audience this week with 'Aay', directed by Anji K. Maniputra and featuring Nayan Sarika as the heroine. The movie was released on August 15th. How is the film? Did it impress the audience? Let’s find out in this review. What's the Story? Karthik (Narne Nithiin) from Amalapuram joins a software job in Hyderabad. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, he returns to his village. While working from home, he spends enjoyable times with his childhood friends, Hari and Subbu. During this period, he falls in love with Pallavi (Nayan Sarika) from a neighboring village. Pallavi, who is very active on social media and cares deeply about caste, initially likes Karthik believing he is from the same caste. When she discovers he is from a different caste, she distances herself and agrees to an arranged marriage. Karthik finds it hard to cope with this. Meanwhile, his friends Hari and Subbu try various ways to reunite them. Did their efforts succeed? Did Karthik and Pallavi get married? To find out, one must watch the movie. How Did They Perform? Narne Nithiin in the role of Karthik was captivating. This role, compared to his first film, offered more scope for acting, and his maturity is evident in his expressions and dialogue delivery. He was also impressed with his dance skills. Nayan Sarika, as Pallavi, charmed with her beauty and performance, perfectly portraying a girl from the Godavari region. The comedy delivered by Raj Kumar Kasireddy and Ankith Koya in their roles as friends highlighted the film, particularly Kasireddy’s performance, which is memorable. Mime Gopi and Vinod Kumar performed well within the limits of their roles. How's the Direction? Though director Anji chose a familiar story, the way he presented it is appealing. The backdrop of Amalapuram, the innocence and warmth in the people, and the bonds of childhood friends all these elements are well-blended into the narrative. The film picks up pace when the three friends reunite, and from the moment Karthik falls in love, the movie becomes more entertaining. The efforts and troubles his friends undergo to help with his love life bring laughs. The director managed to introduce a twist in the straightforward storyline to make the second half more interesting. He also delivered a good message by involving the elders of both families in the second half. The twist in the climax is surprising. However, the routine story, a love track dominated by comedy, and some illogical scenes are drawbacks of the movie. Technically Speaking Technically, the cinematography by Sameer Kalyani is a significant plus for the movie. His camera work showcasing the surroundings of Amalapuram and the rural setting is impressive. Regarding music, the songs breathe life into the film, with Ram Miriyala’s Sufi song being particularly enchanting. The production values are high, with the producers not compromising on the budget. Plus Points: - Performances - Comedy - Climax Minus Points: - Routine story - Predictable narrative Telugu.YouSay.tv Rating: 3/5

Simbaa Movie Review: Supernatural Thrills Meet Crime Drama in 'Simbaa'
Simbaa Movie Review: Supernatural Thrills Meet Crime Drama in 'Simbaa'
Cast: Jagapathi Babu, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Vashistha N. Simha, Divi Vadthya, Kabir Duhan Singh, Sreenath Maganti Director: Murali Manohar Music: Krishna Saurabh Producers: Sampath Nandi, D. Rajendra Reddy Release Date: 09-08-2024 The film 'Simbaa,' directed by Murali Manohar and featuring Jagapathi Babu and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key roles, falls under the supernatural crime thriller genre. This cinema has been co-produced by prominent directors Sampath Nandi and Dasari Rajendra Reddy and was released to audiences on August 9. Let's evaluate the film's impact and its reception among the viewers in this review. Plot In Hyderabad, a key figure from the Partha Group is murdered. During the investigation of this case, another individual from the same group is also killed. The police conclude that a school teacher, Akshika (Anasuya), and an investigative journalist, Fazil (Sreenath Maganti), are involved. They are arrested, but amidst their custody, another murder occurs in full view of everyone. A prominent doctor's involvement complicates the case further. What is the motive behind these murders? Why are individuals associated with Partha (Kabir Singh) being targeted? What is the connection of the Forest Man, Purushottam Reddy (Jagapathi Babu), to these murders? What conflicts exist between him and Partha? The film must be watched to uncover these answers. Performances Jagapathi Babu, in the role of Purushottam Reddy, captures the audience with his commanding presence and excels in action sequences. Anasuya delivers a compelling performance as teacher Akshika, embodying her character flawlessly. Divi, Sreenath Maganti, and Vashistha Simha also engage well in their roles, with Vashistha Simha's portrayal as the investigative officer being particularly notable. Senior actors Gautami and Kasturi add charm in secondary roles. Kabir, portraying the antagonist, was adequate. The rest of the cast performed well within their roles. Direction Director Murali Manohar has attempted to blend environmental themes into a crime and investigative story. The introduction of Anasuya’s character, the love track between Divi and Sreenath Maganti, and the dual murder events are well-handled in the first half. However, the police investigation scenes feel routine and lack logical progression. In the second half, Jagapathi Babu’s entrance as the Forest Man, emphasizing tree conservation and love for nature, brings thought-provoking scenes. Nonetheless, the lack of impactful dialogue means the director’s message doesn’t resonate strongly with the audience. The concept of 'biological memory' is intriguing in the film. A better presentation of the Forest Man episode could have enhanced the impact. Overall, although the movie's concept is interesting, the director fails to effectively convey it to the audience. Technically On the technical front, Krishna Saurabh’s background music is a highlight, elevating several scenes effectively. Krishnaprasad’s cinematography is commendable, and the editing is adequate. The production values are high. Plus Points - Performances by Jagapathi Babu and Anasuya - The environmental message - The secondary meanings Minus Points - Lack of engaging narrative - Dragged scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

    Shivam Bhaje Movie Review
    Shivam Bhaje Movie Review
Cast: Ashwin Babu, Digangana Suryavanshi, Hyper Aadi, Arbaaz Khan, Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmaji Director: Abdul Apsar Hussain Music: Vikas Badisa Editor: Chota K. Prasad Producer: Maheshwara Reddy Release Date: August 01, 2024 The latest film starring Ashwin Babu, who is the brother of well-known anchor and director Ohmkar, is titled 'Shivam Bhaje.' Digangana Suryavanshi plays the lead female role. Directed by Abdul Apsar Hussain, the movie also features notable actors such as Hyper Aadi, Arbaaz Khan, Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, and Brahmaji in significant roles. The promotional materials, trailer, and teaser have significantly raised expectations for this film, which was released on August 1. Let's explore how the film fared and whether it succeeded in captivating the audience. Plot Chandu (Ashwin Babu) works as a loan recovery agent. During his job, he falls in love with Shailaja (Digangana Suryavanshi), who works in a chemical lab. Due to an incident, Chandu loses his sight. Following a dramatic event blessed by Lord Shiva, an operation restores his vision. However, after regaining his sight, Chandu begins to see various visuals. Whose eyes did Chandu receive? What are these visuals he sees? Why does a mere recovery agent end up fighting with enemy nations? What deed did Chandu perform with the grace of Lord Shiva? What role does Dogra (a dog) play in the story? To find out, one must watch the movie. Performances Ashwin Babu delivers a remarkable performance in the role of Chandu, showcasing great versatility across two dimensions. Digangana Suryavanshi captivates the audience as Shailaja. The chemistry between Ashwin and Digangana is effectively established. Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan impresses in his role as a police officer, and comedian Hyper Aadi elicits laughter with his impeccable timing. Seasoned actors Brahmanandam and Murali Sharma mesmerize with their performances, while other actors adequately fulfill their roles. Direction Director Abdul Apsar Hussain commendable intertwines mystery and devotional elements. Some suspense scenes in this crime drama are quite engaging. The storyline woven around international espionage also pleases, though the screenplay falters at times. The narrative could have been presented more effectively on screen. The subplot involving murders seems rather weak. Chandu's character could have been made more powerful. Some scenes lack logical coherence. The slow pace of the story and a lack of engaging elements in the first half are drawbacks. Unrelated scenes test the audience's patience. Technically On the technical front, Dasarathi Shivendra’s cinematography is impressive. He beautifully presents key scenes, especially in the second half. Vikas Badisa’s music is decent. Chota K. Prasad’s editing is also commendable. The production values are high. Plus Points - Ashwin Babu’s acting - Suspense scenes - Climax Minus Points - Slow narration - Lack of engaging elements - Irrelevant scenes Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5

Purushothamudu Review:  Raj Tarun's Journey from Billionaire to Common Man"
Purushothamudu Review:  Raj Tarun's Journey from Billionaire to Common Man"
Cast: Raj Tarun, Hasini, Ramya Krishnan, Prakash Raj, and others. Written and Directed by: Ram Bhimana Music: Gopi Sundar Cinematography: PG Vinda Editing: Marthand K. Venkatesh Producers: Dr. Ramesh Tejavath, Prakash Tejavath Amidst personal and professional struggles, young hero Raj Tarun's latest film 'Purushothamudu' has arrived in theaters. Directed by Ram Bhimana and starring actress Hasini as the female lead, this film tests Raj Tarun's ability to rebound. Let’s see if it has succeeded in giving him a hit in this review. What's the story? Rachit Ram (Raj Tarun) was born a billionaire, the sole heir of Aditya Ram (Murali Sharma), who heads PR Groups. After completing his education abroad, Aditya decides to entrust his son with the CEO responsibilities. However, Rachit's aunt Vasundhara (Ramya Krishnan) objects to this. According to company rules, a candidate for CEO must live incognito as a common man for 100 days. Rachit agrees to this and steps outside his comfort zone. He travels to a remote village in Andhra Pradesh named Rayapulanka. What twists did Rachit’s life take there? What adventures did he undertake to save the village farmers? And what is his love story with Ammu? That forms the rest of the story. Performances Raj Tarun delivers a commendable performance in dual dimensions as Rachit Ram, convincingly playing both a billionaire and an unidentifiable common man. Hasini Sudheer, as the village girl Ammu, shines beautifully on screen, and the love scenes between Raj Tarun and Ammu are pleasing. Praveen provides comic relief in the friend’s role, while other comedians like Satya and Brahmanandam shine throughout the film. Direction We've seen many films where a wealthy young man lives as a common man for various reasons. Director Ram Bhimana has crafted 'Purushothamudu' in a similar vein. The real story begins when the wealthy hero reaches the village of Rayapulanka. The introductions and romantic scenes with the heroine are engaging. The first half is entertaining with village backdrop comedy, and the hero's stance against injustices in the village makes for an appealing interval bang. However, the narrative seems to lose track in the second half, meandering predictably and boringly without any significant twists. The climax, although predictable, is somewhat saved by Prakash Raj's entry and his impactful dialogues. Director Ram Bhimana fails to bring any novelty to the story or narration. Technically Musically, Gopi Sundar’s contributions are just passable, with none of the songs being particularly memorable. The background score is decent. PG Vinda’s cinematography is impressive, capturing the essence of village life beautifully. The editing is adequate, and the production values are suitably high for the film. Plus Points - Raj Tarun’s acting - Some scenes in the first half - Chemistry between the hero and heroine Minus Points - Routine story - Predictable narrative - Lack of twists Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

Bharateeyudu 2 Review: Kamal Haasan Returns, but Does the Sequel Match the Original's Brilliance?
Bharateeyudu 2 Review: Kamal Haasan Returns, but Does the Sequel Match the Original's Brilliance?
Cast: Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani, Vivek Director: Shankar Music: Anirudh Ravichander Cinematographer: Ravi Varman Editor: Sreekar Prasad Producer: Allirajah Subaskaran Release Date: 12-07-2024 Kamal Haasan and director Shankar's original film, 'Bharateeyudu', which debuted twenty-five years ago, became a sensation for its intense critique of corruption and bribery. The sequel, titled 'Bharateeyudu 2', was released in theaters on July 12. Alongside Kamal Haasan, the film stars Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, S.J. Surya, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam, and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. Has this film met expectations? Has Kamal Haasan once again captivated audiences as Bharateeyudu2? Let's explore in this review. Plot Aravindan (Siddharth) and his friends fight against corruption and injustices within the country. They spread awareness through social media videos and urge the return of Bharateeyudu. In response, the veteran freedom fighter Senapathi (Kamal Haasan), known for his previous anti-corruption crusades, returns to India. He takes decisive action against those deeply involved in corruption and motivates the youth. However, unexpected developments stir public dissent against Bharateeyudu. What exactly unfolded? Why did the public turn against Senapathi? What triggered their anger? Did Bharateeyudu succeed in his objectives upon returning? This forms the crux of the story. Performance  In 'Bharateeyudu 2', Kamal Haasan delivers a virtuoso performance, reprising the role of Senapathi with remarkable skill. Siddharth also stands out in a pivotal role. Rakul Preet Singh and S.J. Surya enhance the film with their performances, although their characters are somewhat underdeveloped. The rest of the cast delivers adequate performances. Direction Director Shankar seems to have merely repeated the narrative of Bharateeyudu. He updated an outdated story to fit modern times, focusing the sequel on showcasing how Bharateeyudu would eliminate corruption today. Shankar’s usual flair is missing in the direction. The screenplay is lackluster, and even Kamal Haasan's introduction isn't as engaging. While some scenes are well-executed, others fail to make an impact. However, Kamal Haasan's chase sequences and the fight scenes with terrorists are highlights. The social message adds some strength to the film, but the lack of father-daughter sentiment and uninspiring songs from the first film negatively impact this one. Overall, the sequel fails to mesmerize the audience as Senapathi did before. Technical Aspects On the technical front, the music by Anirudh Ravichander isn't memorable, though the background score is good. However, in some scenes, the BGM dominates too much. The cinematography is commendable, and the editing is passable. The production values are high, showing no compromise on spending. Plus Points Kamal Haasan's actingThe messageAction sequences Minus Points Outdated storyWeak screenplayLack of emotional impactDragging scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 2.5/5   Public Talk: What Are Netizens Saying? On Twitter, 'Bharateeyudu 2' is receiving mixed reactions. While a few comment that the film is good, many are posting that it's a flop, surrounding it with negative talk. Sasimadhanam Review: Watch out for fun Love Story
Sasimadhanam Review: Watch out for fun Love Story
Cast: Pavan Sidhu, Soniya  Singh, Roopa lakshmi, Pradeep Raparthi, Krithika, Ashok Chandra Director: Winod Gali Music Director: Sinjit Yerramilli Cinematography: Rehan Shaikh Editor: Anil Kumar P Producers: Harish Kohirkar Release Date: July 4, 2024 OTT Platform: ETV Win The latest Telugu romantic love drama web series, "Sasimadhanam," has premiered on the popular OTT platform ETV Win starting July 4. The main roles are played by Pavan Sidhu and Soniya  Singh, who have previously starred together in several short films and are rumored to be a couple in real life. How does the series fare? How captivating is their chemistry? Let's find out in this review. What's the Story? Madan (Pavan Sidhu) from Warangal lives with his brother's family and earns money through betting. He falls in love with Sasi (Soniya Singh) from Hyderabad. After losing a significant amount of money in betting, Madan encounters difficulties. When he learns that Sasi's family will be away for ten days for a wedding, he decides to visit her. However, on the night he arrives, the wedding is canceled, and her family unexpectedly returns. How did Madan manage to evade Sasi's family? What challenges did he encounter? How did he interfere with Sasi's arranged marriage prospects? Did Sasi's family eventually accept their marriage? These questions form the crux of the series plot. Performances The acting of Soniya Singh and Pavan Sidhu is a major highlight of the series. Their real-life relationship adds an authentic touch to their on-screen chemistry. They both delivered charming performances. Pradeep, who plays Sasi's father, excels with his comedic timing, while Ashok Chandra adds an emotional touch in the grandfather role. Keshav Deepak, as Madan's brother, and Roopa Lakshmi, as the family matriarch, among others, effectively contribute to the series. Direction Director Winod Gali successfully crafted a charming love story series, diverging from the usual bold suspense thrillers. Although the plot is conventional, he managed to keep it captivating. The intrigue surrounding what happens next, especially after the hero becomes trapped in the heroine's house, holds the audience's attention. The comedic tension that emerges as Madan attempts to hide with Sasi's assistance adds entertainment value. However, some scenes feel repetitive and the series suffers from a lack of visual variety because it is set in a single location. The screenplay could have been improved. Technically Musically, Sinjit Yerramilli did well, especially with two songs that stand out. The background score is adequate. The cinematography is also good, providing fresh visuals suitable for a love story. The production values are high. Plus Points - Acting by Siddhu and Soniya  - Confusion comedy - Music Minus Points - Routine story - The secondary love track - Some boring scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 2.5/5

ARM Movie Review: A Gripping Performance but a Predictable Plot.
ARM Movie Review: A Gripping Performance but a Predictable Plot.
Cast: Tovino Thomas, Krithi Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh, Surabhi Lakshmi, Basil Joseph, Jagadish, Kabir Duhan Singh, and others Director: Jithin Lal Writer: Sujith Nambiar Music: Thibu Ninan Thomas Cinematography: Jomon T. John Editing: Shameer Muhammad Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has also gained recognition in Telugu cinema. His lead roles in ‘Minnal Murali’ and ‘2018’ have been successful in Telugu as well. His latest film 'ARM' has now been released, featuring Tovino Thomas and Krithi Shetty in lead roles. In Malayalam, the film is titled ‘Ajayante Random Motionam’ (ARM), which translates in Telugu to ‘Ajayan’s Second Theft.’ How did the pan-India release 'ARM' fare? Did it enchant the Telugu audience? Has Tovino Thomas scored another hit? Let’s find out in this review. Plot Ajay (Tovino Thomas) lives a simple life in his village, doing small jobs and living with his mother (Rohini). His grandfather Maniyan (Tovino Thomas) was once a notorious thief, which leads villagers to suspect Ajay whenever a theft occurs. Meanwhile, the Sreebhuthi Lamp (an idol) in the village temple, more valuable than gold, attracts the attention of Sudeva Varma (Harish Uthaman), who plans to steal it and frame Ajay for the theft. However, Ajay’s family has been protecting this lamp for generations. How does Ajay save it this time? What is the history behind the idol? What role does the legendary hero Kunjikelu (Tovino Thomas) play in this history? What about Ajay’s love track with Lakshmi (Krithi Shetty)? You have to watch the movie to find out. Performances Tovino Thomas impressively portrays three different roles. His portrayal as the heroic Kunjikelu, with significant battle scenes, is captivating. His performance as grandfather Maniyan is also commendable, showing great versatility across his roles, from heroic to serene in Ajay’s character. Each character variation highlights his depth in acting. Krithi Shetty delivers a fine performance as Lakshmi, embodying a 90s girl perfectly. Surabhi Lakshmi’s role is engaging, appearing in a dual capacity that adds to the narrative. Rohini and Harish Uthaman’s characters are pivotal to the storyline. Direction Despite being his debut, director Jithin Lal’s execution of a story intertwined across three generations is clear and engaging. The entry of the legendary Kunjikelu accelerates the pace of the film with his heroics and the boon he asks from the king after saving the kingdom, followed by revelations that add intrigue. The portrayal of Maniyan’s character by the director stands out, particularly how he discovers where the lamp is and plans its theft. The confrontational scenes when Maniyan and Ajayan’s paths cross are emotionally powerful. However, other characters lack impact, a weak love track, predictable plot points, and a feeble climax detract from the film. Technically Technically, the film is high-quality. Thibu’s background score and songs add a fresh flair to the film. Jomon T. John’s cinematography is captivating. The editing is adequate, and the production values are high. Plus Points - Tovino Thomas’s acting - Historical backdrop - Music Minus Points - Predictable storyline - Weak climax Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Raj Tarun's Bhale Unnade Movie Review: A Beautiful First Half Fades Into Predictability
Raj Tarun's Bhale Unnade Movie Review: A Beautiful First Half Fades Into Predictability
Cast: Raj Tarun, Manisha Kandkur, Abhirami, Ammu Abhirami, Hyper Aadi, Goparaju Ramana, Srikanth Iyengar, Krishna Bhagavan, VTV Ganesh, Singeetam Srinivasa, Leela Samson, Rachcha Ravi, and others. Director: J. Sivasai Vardhan Music: Shekhar Chandra Cinematography: Nagesh Banell Producer: N.V. Kiran Kumar Presented by: Maruthi Release Date: 13-09-2024 Raj Tarun stars in the recently released film 'Bhale Unnade!' with Manisha Kandkur as the heroine, directed by J. Sivasai Vardhan. Produced by N.V. Kiran Kumar under the Ravi Kiran Arts banner and presented by Maruthi's team, the film's trailer and teaser have already garnered interest. This is Raj Tarun's third film released within a month. After the previous two films failed to impress, Raj Tarun has high hopes for 'Bhale Unnade!' How does the film fare? Did it bring success to Raj Tarun? Let's find out in this review. Plot Radha (Raj Tarun) works as a saree draper in Visakhapatnam. Raised by his mother Gauri (Abhirami) after his father's early death, he helps her out. Krishna (Manisha), a new employee at the bank where Gauri works, becomes close to Gauri. Krishna enjoys the lunch boxes Radha prepares for his mother and falls in love with Radha's cooking without even seeing his face. Similarly, Radha falls for Krishna through the letters she sends with the lunch box without meeting her. As they prepare for marriage with their elders' consent, Krishna's friend reveals something shocking at the engagement. This raises doubts about Radha's suitability. What happens next? What test does Krishna set for Radha? Why does Radha keep a distance from women? Did their wedding take place? Performance Raj Tarun, as Radha, is captivating throughout the film. His acting has more scope compared to his previous films, and his emotional expressions are compelling. Manisha looks beautiful as Krishna, and their chemistry is well-portrayed. Abhirami, as the mother, captures the audience's attention. Even though Singeetam Srinivasa appears only in a few scenes, he leaves a strong impact. Ammu Abhirami, Goparaju Ramana, and Srikanth Iyengar play their parts within their limits. Hyper Aadi and Nellore Sudarshan provide occasional comic relief. The rest of the cast performed adequately within their roles. Direction Director J. Sivasai Vardhan crafted this film with a concept of how modern society and women perceive a man aspiring to be like Lord Rama. The first half flows pleasantly with the love track between the hero and heroine and the bond between mother and son, anchored around the lunch box as a medium of their love letters. The twist at the engagement concludes the first half. The second half takes Radha on a background of why he distances himself from women, although it drags compared to the first half. The tests imposed on the hero in a Kerala ashram and the antics of Srikanth Iyengar do not pan out well. The way Radha and Krishna break up also lacks novelty. The climax is another weak point of the film. Technically Technically, the cinematographer does a great job with vibrant and fresh visuals. Shekhar Chandra’s music does not leave a lasting impression. The background score is passable, and the editing is fine. The production values are high. Plus Points - Raj Tarun's acting - Story background - First half Minus Points - Lack of commercial elements - Second half Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Mathu Vadalara 2 Movie Review: Comedy, Chaos, and Satya’s Hilarious Performance
Mathu Vadalara 2 Movie Review: Comedy, Chaos, and Satya’s Hilarious Performance
Cast: Sri Simha, Satya, Faria Abdullah, Sunil, Vennela Kishore, Rohini, and others. Writer and Director: Ritesh Rana Music: Kaala Bhairava Cinematographer: Suresh Sarangam Editor: Karthika Srinivas Producer: Chiranjeevi (Cherry) Release Date: September 13, 2024 Sri Simha stars in 'Mathu Vadalara 2,' directed by Ritesh Rana. The film features key performances by Faria Abdullah, Satya, Vennela Kishore, Rohini, and Sunil. The movie captured everyone's attention when actor Prabhas launched the trailer, which was full of laughs, heightening expectations. How did the film turn out? Did it impress the Telugu audience? Let's dive into this review to find out. Plot Babu (Sri Simha) and Yesu Babu (Satya) work as delivery boys struggling with financial issues. Their inadequate earnings lead them to become special agents. A small mistake in a case they handle gets them into trouble. What is this case about? What was their mistake? How did they get out of it? How does undercover agent Nidhi (Faria Abdullah) help them? To find out, you must watch the movie. Performances As the lead, Sri Simha delivers a solid performance, captivating in comedy and action sequences. However, Satya, present in every scene, steals the show, making him the true hero of the film. With his punchlines and comic timing, Satya excels, especially with his expressions that guarantee a laugh riot. His antics as the "Sexy Siren" in the film are particularly effective. Faria Abdullah also lands a substantial role that is memorable post her character in 'Chitti'. Vennela Kishore adds his unique flavor of comedy, while Sunil and Rohini do justice to their significant roles. Other actors also performed adequately. Direction Director Ritesh Rana crafts stories revolving around drugs, guns, and money. This time is no different, blending kidnapping drama with humor to entertain the audience. He successfully uses star references including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Balakrishna, and Mahesh Babu to great effect. The characters of Sri Simha and Satya are particularly entertaining and well-developed. Every character appears fresh and funny on screen. The director keeps the first half a fun ride, though he struggles a bit in the second half where some scenes drag. The climax also feels predictable, a minor drawback. Technically On the technical front, Kaala Bhairava's background score is a major plus, elevating many scenes effectively. The cinematography is commendable, but the editing could have been tighter. The production values are high. Plus Points - Sri Simha and Satya’s performances - Comedy - Background music Minus Points - Some dragging scenes - Predictable climax Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Bench Life Series Review: A Relatable Tale for IT Professionals with Stellar Performances
Bench Life Series Review: A Relatable Tale for IT Professionals with Stellar Performances
Cast: Vaibhav Reddy, Ritika Singh, Charan, Akanksha Singh, Nayan Sarika, Rajendra Prasad, Tanikella Bharani, Venkatesh Kakumanu, and others. Writer and Director: Manasa Sharma Cinematography: Dhanush Bhaskar Music: P.K. Dandi Producer: Niharika Konidela Production Company: Pink Elephant Pictures OTT Platform: SonyLIV Release Date: September 12, 2024 After the recent release and success of 'Committee Kurrollu,' which featured new actors and a fresh storyline, Niharika Konidela received commendations. This set high expectations for her newly produced web series 'Bench Life,' centered around the struggles of software employees, directed by Manasa Sharma against an IT backdrop. The series stars Vaibhav Reddy, Charan Peri, Ritika Singh, and Akanksha Singh in leading roles and began streaming on SonyLIV from September 12. Let’s delve into this review to see if 'Bench Life' is another hit in Niharika's account. What’s the Story? Balu (Vaibhav Reddy), Ravi (Charan Peri), and Meenakshi (Ritika Singh) are employees at a prominent software company and also good friends. Balu has been in love with Esha (Akanksha Singh), a colleague, for nine years but has never confessed his feelings. Meanwhile, Meenakshi dreams of becoming a director and circulates her scripts among producers. In the meantime, Ravi plans a trip to Goa with his wife (Nayan Sarika) and two friends, prompting the three friends to go on the bench. What happens after they go on the bench? What role does Prasad Vashisht (Rajendra Prasad) play in the company? What causes discord between Ravi and his wife? Did Ravi confess his love to Esha? What happened to Esha’s dream of becoming a director? To find out, one must watch the series. How Did They Perform? Vaibhav, as Balu, delivers a commendable performance, generating plenty of laughs with his comedic timing. Akanksha Singh, as his love interest, played her part well, captivating as a reserved young woman unable to express her inner feelings. The highlight of the series might be said to be the duo Charan Peri and Nayan Sarika, whose performances along with their scenes together are highly entertaining. Ritika fits perfectly into the role of Meenakshi, a young woman struggling to break free from an unsatisfying job to pursue her dreams of directing. Tulasi justly fulfills her role, while Rajendra Prasad once again charms with his comedic timing and emotional delivery. Tanikella Bharani, though in a brief role, makes a significant impact at a crucial moment in the story. Niharika Konidela, Sangith Shoban, and Venkat make memorable appearances in guest roles. How Was the Direction? Director Manasa Sharma has crafted the series in a way that connects well with the youth, particularly software employees, developing each character with a purposeful arc. The finale provided for the characters of Charan Peri and Nayan Sarika is particularly well-done. However, the endings given to Ritika Singh and Akanksha Singh's characters feel overly cinematic and lack naturalness. The comedy track between Rajendra Prasad and Vaibhav Reddy is a significant plus, as are the sentimental scenes involving Rajendra Prasad and Nayan Sarika. Overall, director Manasa Sharma has earned commendable marks, though the coarse language used by Vaibhav and the series’ appeal primarily to IT professionals could be seen as drawbacks. Technically... On the technical front, the cinematographer has done an excellent job presenting the software office environment effectively. The background music is also praiseworthy. Other departments like art work and production design have shown solid performance, reflecting high production values. Plus Points - Performances of the main cast - Directional skills - Comedy elements Minus Points - Occasionally bold dialogues - Appeal mainly limited to IT professionals Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 3/5

Bhargavi Nilayam OTT Review: Tovino Thomas Shines in a Haunting Tale of Love and Revenge
Bhargavi Nilayam OTT Review: Tovino Thomas Shines in a Haunting Tale of Love and Revenge
Cast: Tovino Thomas, Chemban Vinod, Roshan Mathew, Reema Kallingal, Shine Tom Chacko, Abhiram Radhakrishnan Director: Aashiq Abu Cinematography: Girish Gangadharan Editing: V. Sajan Music: Bijibal, Rex Vijayan Producers: Aashiq Abu, Reema Kallingal OTT: Aha This week, a Malayalam horror film has made its way to OTT platforms, aiming to captivate digital audiences. 'Bhargavi Nilayam', originally released in 1964, has been remade as 'Neelavelicham' in 2023 with several alterations. The movie stars Tovino Thomas, Reema Kallingal, Roshan Mathew, and Shine Tom Chacko, directed by Aashiq Abu. Released in April last year, the film greatly attracted Malayalam viewers. Recently, this movie has been dubbed into Telugu as 'Bhargavi Nilayam' and brought to OTT on Aha. How does the film fare? Does it engage the Telugu OTT audience? Let’s find out in this review. The Story 'Bhargavi Nilayam' is set in a small village near the seaside, where the titular mansion has been abandoned for many years. The very mention of the mansion sends shivers down the spine of the villagers. It is said that Bhargavi (Reema Kallingal) haunts the house as a ghost, attempting to kill anyone who steps inside. In this context, a writer named Basheer (Tovino Thomas) arrives in the village. Unaware of the mansion's haunted history, he rents it. Financial constraints force him to stay, leading him to befriend the ghost. He decides to write a story about her. What caused Bhargavi’s death? How did her lover Shivakumar (Roshan Mathew) mysteriously disappear? How does Basheer uncover the mystery of this tragic love story? That forms the crux of the narrative. Performance Tovino Thomas excels in the role of the writer. His appearance and dialogue delivery are notably different from his previous films, bearing the weight of the movie on his shoulders. He leaves his mark in key scenes. The love pair, Reema Kallingal and Roshan Mathew, perform adequately. Shine Tom Chacko delivers a compelling performance as the villain, leaving a strong impact. Other actors perform well within their roles. Direction While Aashiq Abu has chosen a routine story for the movie, he succeeds in making the narrative engaging. The scenes depicting the tragic life of a couple, uncovered by a writer, are captivating. The segments where the hero enters the haunted house and the villagers scare him with dreadful tales are intriguing, maintaining suspense about what will happen next. The horror elements introduced occasionally do instill fear. The friendship between the hero and the ghost before the interval sets up an engaging second half. In the latter part, the director reveals the love story of Bhargavi and Shivakumar, and the villain behind their tragic fate. The climax shows Bhargavi’s revenge drama in an interesting manner. However, the routine storyline, boring love track, and standard horror scenes could be seen as negatives. Technically On the technical front, the cinematographer does an excellent job. His camera work effectively recreates the atmosphere of the 1960s. The background music also adds value to the film. The editing is adequate, and the production values are fitting for the film. Plus Points - Tovino Thomas’s performance - Engaging narrative - Strong technical department Minus Points - Routine horror concept - Lack of thrilling elements Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 3/5

Thaman Hints at a Possible Mahesh Babu and Balakrishna Multi-Starrer, Sparking Fan Excitement
Thaman Hints at a Possible Mahesh Babu and Balakrishna Multi-Starrer, Sparking Fan Excitement
In Tollywood, among the heroes with a massive fan following are Balakrishna and Mahesh Babu. While Mahesh charms fans with his classy looks, Balakrishna energizes his fans with his signature mass dialogues. The very idea of these two stars in one movie is exciting! Recent comments by popular music director Thaman suggest that this multi-starrer might soon become a reality. Thaman's comments during a show became a hot topic on social media. What Did Thaman Say? On the popular OTT streaming app 'Aha,' the Telugu version of Indian Idol is being streamed, where Thaman serves as a judge, and singer Sreerama Chandra is hosting. During the semifinals of the show, host Sreerama Chandra posed an intriguing question to Thaman: "If you had the opportunity to direct music for both Balakrishna and Mahesh Babu's films at the same time, which film would you choose to work on?" Thaman's response turned into the talk of Tollywood. He revealed that not only is the multi-starrer film with both Balayya Babu and Mahesh Babu possible, but he also mentioned that he has heard the story of the film. This revelation had both the anchor Sreerama Chandra and the audience cheering excitedly. https://twitter.com/CINE_EXPLORERS/status/1832658977953607782 Fans Stirring Up Excitement! Thaman's comments about the upcoming class-mass combo multi-starrer are going viral online. Fans are asserting that records will be shattered if a film featuring Mahesh and Balayya materializes, reminiscent of the films of Super Star Krishna and NTR (N T Rama Rao). Fans are excited at the prospect of their sons also acting together. However, it remains to be seen whether Thaman's comments were made in jest or if there is a genuine plan in place. Currently, apart from speculation by the audience, there is no confirmed information about the film's story or direction. Yet, if true, it's certain that not just speakers but box office records are set to be broken. Maybe Not Anytime Soon! After 'Guntur Kaaram,' Mahesh is set to work with legendary director SS Rajamouli. With this commitment, Mahesh won't be available for any other movies for at least the next three years, which means a movie with Balakrishna might not happen anytime soon. Even if the story exists and both actors agree, it might take at least four years for the movie to get on the tracks. Mahesh is currently preparing his look for Rajamouli's film, sporting a significantly grown hair and beard for an adventure action thriller set on a global scale. Balayya Busy Busy Balakrishna is currently busy shooting an action-packed movie (NBK 109) directed by Bobby Kolli. The makers are considering releasing this film in December or for the Sankranti festival next year. Notably, Thaman is providing the music for this movie. The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. In this film, Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Urvashi Rautela play crucial roles. Balakrishna is fully engaged in the ongoing shooting of this movie, keeping him very busy.

Vijay's 'The GOAT': A Predictable Action Drama with Strong Performances and High Expectations
Vijay's 'The GOAT': A Predictable Action Drama with Strong Performances and High Expectations
Cast: Vijay, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Prashant Thyagarajan, Kokila Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, VTV Ganesh, Aravind Akash, Vaibhav Reddy, and others. Story and Direction: Venkat Prabhu Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja Cinematography: Siddharth Nuni Editing: Venkat Rajan Producers: Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, Kalpathi S. Suresh Tamil star hero Vijay stars in the latest action thriller 'The GOAT' (The Greatest of All Time), directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film also features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, with important roles played by Sneha, Laila, Prashant, and Prabhu Deva. This film is notable for its use of de-aging technology. With rumors circulating that this might be Vijay's last film before entering politics, expectations for the film were quite high. How did the film turn out? How much did it captivate the audience? Did it provide another unforgettable success for Vijay or not? Let’s find out in this review. Plot Gandhi (Vijay), a special anti-terrorism squad officer, conducts various successful missions with his teammates Sunil (Prashant), Ajay (Ajmal), and Kalyan Sundaram (Prabhu Deva). However, he keeps his job a secret from his wife Anu (Sneha). During one mission abroad, his five-year-old son dies. Believing her husband to be responsible, Anu distances herself from Gandhi. Distraught, Gandhi leaves the force. Years later, on a trip to Moscow, he encounters his son Jeevan (Vijay), whom he thought was dead, alive. Overjoyed, he brings him back to India. From then on, Gandhi’s acquaintances start dying one by one. Who is responsible for these deaths? How did his presumed-dead son come back? How does Gandhi stop the killings? These questions form the crux of the story. Performances Vijay delivers a dual role, excelling as Gandhi but the young Vijay’s digitally aged look as Jeevan might feel a bit off, not entirely convincing. Vijay shines again in action sequences and emotional scenes, proving his star quality. Meenakshi Chaudhary as the heroine doesn’t have much of a role, feeling more like a guest appearance. Prashant, Ajmal, and Prabhu Deva as squad members are adequate but not outstanding. Jayaram, as the head of the squad, captivates with his performance. Sneha impresses with her acting as Gandhi’s wife. Tamil youth hero Shiva Karthikeyan makes a mark in a cameo, and Trisha excites in a special song appearance. The rest of the cast performs adequately within their roles. Direction Director Venkat Prabhu’s storyline lacks novelty. The narrative of a hero working in defense and the villain raising his son to turn against him has been seen many times before. However, the scenes detailing the son’s revenge feel engaging. The first half is mostly spent introducing the characters, and the plot progresses as expected until the pre-interval. The interval scene raises curiosity for the second half, which, although predictable, includes some twists that surprise the audience. The comedy and dialogues are deeply rooted in Tamil culture, which might not entirely appeal to the Telugu audience. However, Vijay’s fans will likely find the film quite entertaining. Technically On the technical front, the songs by Yuvan Shankar Raja are forgettable, not leaving a lasting impact. However, the background music enhances the action sequences, elevating them to another level. The graphic department could have done better, especially with Vijay’s de-aging look. Editing is competent. The production values are high, showing no compromise in terms of budget. Plus Points - Vijay’s performance - Action sequences - Climax Minus Points - Predictable plot - Slow first half Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 2.5/5
