The Boy Who Wore 'Johnny' Headband for 7 Days Now Directs His Icon Pawan Kalyan: Sujeeth's Story
The Boy Who Wore 'Johnny' Headband for 7 Days Now Directs His Icon Pawan Kalyan: Sujeeth's Story
Young director Sujeeth (HBD Sujeeth) has carved a unique niche for himself in Tollywood. Although he has directed only two films so far, he has garnered a craze that many directors achieve only after many more films. Starting with 'Run Raja Run' as a director, Sujeeth caught everyone's attention at the pan-India level with 'Saaho'. Currently, he is directing 'OG' with Pawan Kalyan, capturing the mega fans' focus. Today, this talented director steps into his 34th year. Let's take a look at some secrets of his career. Making Short Films at 17 Sujeeth Reddy was born in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, on October 26, 1990. Initially dreaming of becoming a Chartered Accountant, his growing interest in films led him to enroll in the L.V. Prasad Film & TV Academy. He started making short films on YouTube at the age of 17 and has directed over 30 short films to date. Creativity in Short Films Typically, YouTube short films are made on a low budget and are not expected to meet high standards. However, Sujeeth's films like 'Run Raja Run', 'Prema Ishq Kaadhal', 'Thokkalo Love Story', 'Vesham', 'Yuddham', 'Prema Care of Drama', and 'Indian Idol' surprised the film industry with their richness and showcased his mesmerizing creativity. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sujeeth (@sujeethsign) Initial Family Resistance When Sujeeth expressed his desire to become a director, his family was initially reluctant. However, seeing his dedication to cinema, they eventually supported his decision. His mother even bought him his first camera with her own money, marking the beginning of his journey in the industry. Guidance from Puri Jagannadh Upon entering the industry with the aim to direct, Sujeeth initially decided to work as an assistant director under Puri Jagannadh. Meeting him, Puri recognized Sujeeth's abundant directorial skills and encouraged him to pursue directing. Director at 23 While trying for a directorial break, UV Creations recognized Sujeeth's talent and offered him a chance to direct 'Run Raja Run'. Thus, at just 23, Sujeeth became a director and achieved solid success with his debut film. Turning a Short Film into a Feature Interestingly, 'Run Raja Run', which brought him significant recognition, was originally a short film that Sujeeth transformed into his first full-length feature by making a few changes to the story. Before 'Baahubali' UV Creations, which produced Prabhas's 'Mirchi', planned a second film with him and accepted a story from Sujeeth, which Prabhas liked. However, 'Baahubali' has not been released yet. After 'Baahubali', Prabhas's fame skyrocketed, leading Sujeeth to make adjustments to the story, and thus 'Saaho' was made on a pan-India scale. Despite not achieving expected success, Sujeeth's work at such a young age surprised everyone. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sujeeth (@sujeethsign) From Fan to Directing Pawan Kalyan Sujeeth has been a fervent fan of Power Star Pawan Kalyan, mentioning in interviews that he went to see 'Johnny' with a band around his head and kept it for seven days. He also attended 'Gabbar Singh' release as a rally. Rising from that stage to directing Pawan Kalyan in 'OG' is no small feat. Love for Japanese Cinema Director Sujeeth has a special affinity for Japanese cinema, which he openly discussed in interviews. He mentioned that Japanese films also influenced 'OG', the film he is currently directing with Pawan Kalyan. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sujeeth (@sujeethsign) Traveling with Friends Whenever Sujeeth gets time, he loves to travel with his friends around the world, sharing pictures from their trips on his Instagram. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sujeeth (@sujeethsign) Passion for Cricket Sujeeth is a big cricket enthusiast, frequently mentioning Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar as his favorite players. Devotion Sujeeth is quite devout, often visiting temples whenever he finds the time. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sujeeth (@sujeethsign) Married to His Sweetheart Director Sujeeth had a love marriage in 2020, tying the knot with Pravallika in the presence of family members. https://twitter.com/Filmiparadise/status/1271319435127603205 Nominated as Best Debut Director For his first film 'Run Raja Run', Sujeeth was nominated as the Best Debut Director at the Nandi Awards. SHOCKING: 'Devara' Director Koratala Siva Under Fire - Blockbuster Sea Sequence Allegedly Copied from Korean Film; Shankar Hints at Legal Action Over Story Rights!
SHOCKING: 'Devara' Director Koratala Siva Under Fire - Blockbuster Sea Sequence Allegedly Copied from Korean Film; Shankar Hints at Legal Action Over Story Rights!
Directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr. NTR, 'Devara: Part 1' has created a storm at the box office, becoming the biggest hit of Tarak's career. The sea fight sequence in particular has thrilled audiences, and Koratala Siva's creativity has been widely praised. However, there's a growing controversy online suggesting that these were not entirely Siva's original ideas, but rather direct copies from a Korean film. Here's the video that's trending as evidence. What Actually Happened? The introduction and interval scenes in 'Devara' are so dynamic that they're bound to give anyone goosebumps. No one expected a Telugu director to execute such an elaborate action sequence at sea. The film features a scene where the hero, along with his gang, goes to a ship to steal weapons, dumping the gun-filled crates into the sea. Members of the hero's gang, already stationed in small boats, then retrieve these crates to smuggle them past the naval officers. Yet, netizens are surprised to find a strikingly similar scene in a Korean movie, accusing director Koratala Siva of plagiarism. Audiences are mocking the director for fooling them, urging everyone to check out the Korean movie scene. https://twitter.com/chiruthajsp/status/1849093752683716609 That Scene Too! It's known that Tarak plays a dual role in 'Devara.' Initially, as part of the villain's gang, 'Devara' participates in smuggling for some compelling reasons but later turns good. Meanwhile, he also instills fear among his peers against smuggling. The director showcases a sequence with chairs filled with knives along the coast. However, this scene has also been accused of being copied, with claims that it closely resembles a scene from the Hollywood film 'Vikings.' https://twitter.com/BackupBrainy/status/1833835236465029376 Is the Story of Devara Also Copied? There were extensive promotions before the release of 'Devara' claiming that its story was adapted from a copyrighted novel. Tamil director Shankar recently accused that he saw key scenes from his copyrighted novel being used in a film, stressing that creators should respect rights and avoid copying without permission, warning of legal actions. However, Shankar did not clarify which film he referred to. But, the buzz on social media suggests that the story of 'Devara' closely mirrors the Tamil novel 'Veera Yug Nayagan,' for which Shankar holds the rights. Similar Accusations in the Past This is not the first time Koratala Siva has faced plagiarism accusations. He was also heavily criticized during the release of 'Srimanthudu' with Mahesh Babu. Writer Sharath Chandra even took the matter to court, claiming his story was copied. The issue had created a sensation across the Telugu states back then. In 2012, Sharath had published his story 'Chachentha Prema' in Swati Monthly, and while he was planning to adapt it into a film, he accused Koratala Siva of making 'Srimanthudu' based on his story.

In the Kannada film 'Kaatera,' where actor Darshan played the lead, Jagapathi Babu portrayed a villain. His exceptional performance in this negative role won critical acclaim, and the film achieved blockbuster success in Kannada. During the recent IIFA Awards-2024 event in Dubai, Jagapathi Babu was honored with the Best Villain award. Responding to this, he shared a video with the caption, "The more foolishly you act, the more awards you get," which has sparked controversy among netizens. Some suggest that if he dislikes receiving awards, he should return them. https://twitter.com/IamJagguBhai/status/1848652810327666783 What Promoted Jagapathi Babu's Remarks? It's well-known that Jagapathi Babu started his career as a hero and was particularly famous among family audiences for his roles in family dramas. Despite his success, he did not receive awards to the extent he expected. However, since switching to character roles and villains, awards have started coming his way, particularly for his performances as a villain. Films like 'Legend,' 'Nannaku Prematho,' 'Aravinda Sametha,' and 'Manyam Puli' (Telugu dub), and recently 'Kaatera' have brought him numerous accolades, including Nandi, Filmfare, SIIMA, and IIFA awards. His comment might have been influenced by the irony of receiving more awards for negative roles than positive ones. A Turning Point with 'Legend' Competing against stalwarts like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and Nagarjuna, Jagapathi Babu has had many hits. However, as the opportunities for lead roles declined, he shifted to character roles, impressing in roles like big brother and police officer, but still not achieving the recognition he desired. It was during this lull that he received an offer from director Boyapati to play a villain opposite Balakrishna in 'Legend,' which turned his career around. His powerful portrayal of a formidable antagonist won everyone over, and since then, he hasn't looked back. Future Projects Jagapathi Babu is busy with pan-India projects such as 'Pushpa 2,' directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun. His role is rumored to be a negative one, although details haven't been officially confirmed. He is also involved in the Tamil film 'Kanguva,' starring Surya, which is set to release worldwide on November 14. With these projects, Jagapathi Babu is expected to gain national prominence once again.

Jr. NTR's 'Devara' Shatters Records: A ₹300 Crore Triumph in 3 Days, Tarak Breaks a 23-Year-Old Flop Streak
Jr. NTR's 'Devara' Shatters Records: A ₹300 Crore Triumph in 3 Days, Tarak Breaks a 23-Year-Old Flop Streak
Jr. NTR's latest film 'Devara' has achieved remarkable success at the box office, raking in ₹300 crores in just the first three days and is now swiftly marching towards the ₹500 crore club. In this film, Tarak is paired with Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor, while Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist. 'Devara' has brought several intriguing aspects of Tarak's capabilities to the forefront, providing him a victory that even a global star like Prabhas has not achieved. Once again, Tarak has proven to be a boon for directors who have previously experienced flops. Hits with Flop Directors! It can be said that Jr. NTR has become a savior for Tollywood directors who have previously faced failures. Directors who lost their fame due to massive disasters have seen their fortunes revive when teaming up with Tarak. This was recently proven with 'Devara' as well. Director Koratala Siva, who faced criticism with the disaster of 'Acharya', achieved solid success with Tarak in 'Devara'. Tarak has also revived the careers of directors like Puri Jagannadh with 'Temper' after his series of flops, Sukumar with 'Nannaku Prematho' after the failure of '1: Nenokkadine', and Bobby with 'Jai Lava Kusa' after a flop with Ravi Teja. He also brought Trivikram back from the brink after the disaster of 'Agnyaathavaasi' with 'Aravinda Sametha'. In this way, Tarak continues to create new records by turning flop directors into hit-makers. The Only Unbeaten Hero: Tarak In any hero's career, hits and flops are common. Even big star heroes cannot guarantee that every film will be embraced by the audience. Even global star Prabhas faced flops with films like 'Saaho', 'Radhe Shyam', and 'Adipurush' following 'Baahubali'. However, Tarak has been unstoppable in the industry without a single flop over the last nine years. His last seven films have been blockbusters at the box office, including 'Temper', 'Nannaku Prematho', 'Janatha Garage', 'Jai Lava Kusa', 'Aravinda Sametha', 'RRR', and 'Devara'. Tarak stands out as the only hero of his generation to achieve this feat. With big upcoming projects like 'Devara 2', 'NTR 31' with Prashanth Neel, and a rumored film with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Tarak's winning streak looks set to continue. Breaking a 23-Year-Old Flop Record It is well-known that a film with director SS Rajamouli is bound to be a blockbuster. However, no hero has managed to hit immediately following a film with Rajamouli. But with 'Devara', Tarak has broken this flop sentiment. After 'RRR' with Rajamouli, Tarak immediately achieved a solid victory with 'Devara'. Interestingly, Tarak, who kick-started this flop sentiment with Rajamouli's first film 'Student No.1', has himself broken it exactly 23 years after the release of 'Student No.1'. Tarak in the Role of a Farmer! Under the direction of Prashanth Neel, the upcoming project 'NTR 31', produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, is generating buzz in Tollywood. Rumored to be a periodic action drama, the film is said to be set in Bangladesh and will portray Tarak as a young farmer who becomes embroiled in unexpected events, fighting for the locals. The film will reportedly showcase Tarak in two different variations, promising a next-level character portrayal and performance different from his previous roles. Rashmika as the Heroine? Director Prashanth Neel is currently busy with the pre-production work for 'NTR 31', focusing on casting the main roles. Reports suggest that Rashmika Mandanna is being considered to star opposite Tarak, which would mark their first film together if confirmed. 'NTR 31' is planned for release as a Sankranthi gift in 2026, with shooting expected to start soon. The music for the movie will be composed by Ravi Basrur, with cinematography handled by Bhuvan Gowda.

ANR 100th Birth Anniversary: Celebrating Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the Pioneer of Dance in Tollywood
ANR 100th Birth Anniversary: Celebrating Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the Pioneer of Dance in Tollywood
Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), one of the foundational pillars of Tollywood, needs no special introduction. Recognized as a Dadasaheb Phalke Award recipient, Padma Vibhushan, and Natasamrat, he left an indelible mark on the industry. Born on September 20, 1924, as his centenary completes today, fans globally are celebrating his 100th birth anniversary. Although widely known as a legendary actor, not everyone is aware that he was also an excellent dancer. In fact, he was the one who introduced dance to Tollywood, a fact that might be unknown to this generation. Let’s delve into this special report to learn more about it. [toc] The Pioneer of Dance in Tollywood Looking back to the early days of Tollywood, dance was not a primary focus when the industry first began. Leading actors were not keen on dancing; their focus was entirely on how to act and express emotions to captivate the audience. This was particularly noticeable between the 1960s and 1970s. When heroines danced, heroes would often just stand by, a point of criticism at the time. However, Akkineni Nageswara Rao completely changed these dynamics. While many associate Tollywood dance primarily with Megastar Chiranjeevi, it was Nageswara Rao who laid the groundwork for dance in the industry, making it an essential skill for heroes, matching and even excelling alongside heroines in dance. At one point, seeing Nageswara Rao’s dance, contemporaries like Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, Superstar Krishna, Shobhan Babu, and Krishnam Raju also began to emphasize dance in their films. Audiences Mesmerized by Akkineni's Steps! In the 1971 film 'Dasara Bullodu', ANR’s performance in the song ‘Ettage Unnadi Olammi’ was mesmerizing. Similarly, in 'Bangaru Babu', his dance to 'Chengavi Rangu Cheera' electrified audiences who, until then, primarily enjoyed songs for their auditory appeal. Specifically, his dance in 'Prem Nagar' for the song ‘Nenu Puttanu Lokam Navvindi’ became a trendsetter. Additionally, his competitive dance with Sridevi in 'Premabhishekam' for the song 'Ne Kallu Chebuthunnayi' delighted everyone. He also matched steps with Megastar Chiranjeevi in the film 'Mechanic Alludu'. There’s a long list of such performances, some of which are linked below for a glimpse into his prowess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG_H1fNnWJA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWhPlHc0yoU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTt-kp2Lndc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA_uVs7H7G0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_p90nJNsB8 Inspired by Nageswara Rao... Even Megastar Chiranjeevi, known for his dance, was inspired by Nageswara Rao at one point. It’s said that Chiru enhanced the importance of dance in films after watching Nageswara Rao’s movies. In an event, Chiranjeevi made interesting remarks about ANR's influence, noting that after watching Chiru’s dance, one might wonder if his body actually had any bones at all. Over the decades, as Chiranjeevi became a peerless hero in acting and dancing, he carried forward the legacy initiated by Nageswara Rao, which now continues with stars like Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, NTR, and Ram Pothineni. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFTIlMls-98 Interesting Post by Balakrishna On the occasion of ANR's 100th birth anniversary, actor Balakrishna posted a touching tribute, expressing pride in remembering Nageswara Rao. He noted that ANR's iconic roles and invaluable contributions to Telugu cinema are unforgettable and serve as a guiding light to all actors. Balakrishna urged everyone to express their gratitude for the immense services ANR provided to the film industry, from theater to cinema. His journey is an inspiration to all. Tollywood's Emerging Directors: Redefining the Role of Heroines
Tollywood's Emerging Directors: Redefining the Role of Heroines
In cinema, both the hero and the heroine are crucial, like the two eyes of a face. Nowadays, heroines seem to have less scope for substantive roles compared to the past, with some directors focusing films predominantly around the hero. Often, heroines appear primarily for songs and to add a visual appeal. Recent movies like 'Liger,' 'Mr. Bachchan,' and 'Double iSmart' have drawn criticism for focusing more on heroines' exposure than their acting skills. However, some young directors in Tollywood are attracting praise for portraying heroines with dignity, following the example set by Sekhar Kammula. Who are these directors? What films have they made? How have they portrayed their heroines? Let’s find out. Sekhar Kammula When you think of a sensible director in Tollywood, Sekhar Kammula is one of the first names that come to mind. He is known for creating beautiful love stories and engaging family dramas. The heroines in his films and the way they are portrayed remain memorable to the audience. Kamalinee Mukherjee in 'Anand' and 'Godavari' is a prime example, portrayed as the girl-next-door in a dignified manner. In 'Leader,' Richa Gangopadhyay, and in 'Life is Beautiful,' Shagun Kaur, left lasting impressions. Particularly in films like 'Fidaa' and 'Love Story,' Sai Pallavi's roles won hearts without relying on exposure, affirming Sekhar’s significant contribution to her becoming a star heroine. His understanding of how to extract authentic performances from actresses makes many heroines keen to work with him at least once. Hanu Raghavapudi Similar to Sekhar Kammula, director Hanu Raghavapudi takes great care in the portrayal of heroines. His films 'Andala Rakshasi,' 'Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha,' 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu,' and 'Sita Ramam' make it clear that he focuses on the substance of his heroines' roles. Actresses like Lavanya Tripathi, Mehreen, Sai Pallavi, and Mrunal Thakur under his direction have garnered significant acclaim. Mrunal Thakur, in particular, received rave reviews for her role in the beautiful love saga 'Sita Ramam,' achieving star status in Telugu cinema. Her character Sita in the film remains special to her, as stated in various interviews. Hanu has announced a project with Prabhas, introducing a new actress, Iman Ismail, to the Telugu screen, whose appearance has already generated considerable interest. Vivek Athreya Young director Vivek Athreya also seems to follow in Sekhar Kammula's footsteps regarding heroine portrayal. His recent film 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' with Nani, featuring Tamil actress Priyanka Arul Mohan, showcased her acting without resorting to glamour. His previous works, 'Mental Madhilo,' 'Brochevarevarura,' and 'Ante Sundaraniki,' emphasized dignified portrayals over skin show, with actresses like Nivetha Pethuraj, Nivetha Thomas, and Nazriya Nazim earning recognition for their roles. Shouryuv Director Shouryuv made his mark with the film 'Hi Nanna,' capturing hearts and earning praise for his sensitive portrayal. In the film, Nani stars alongside Mrunal Thakur, who was previously known in Bollywood for more glamorous roles. Shouryuv presented her as a quintessential Telugu girl without compromising her dignity throughout the film. Despite opportunities for skin show in songs, he chose not to take that route, maintaining the integrity of Mrunal's character. This approach left film critics impressed and hopeful that he will continue in this manner in his future projects. Tharun Bhascker Tharun Bhascker, a young director, has quickly become synonymous with youthful films. He has gained recognition in a short time with content that resonates with the youth, without ever giving in to the temptation to showcase glamour unnecessarily. Starting with his debut film 'Pelli Choopulu,' this aspect becomes clear. Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma's pairing in the film highlighted substantial acting over cheap thrills. This film significantly boosted Ritu Varma's popularity. After turning actor in several films, Tharun Bhascker has returned to directing with 'Keeḍa Cola,' continuing his tradition of dignified cinematic portrayals.

Nani’s 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' Sparks Fan Concerns Ahead of Release
Nani’s 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' Sparks Fan Concerns Ahead of Release
Whenever one thinks of a self-made hero from this generation, Nani is the first name that comes to mind. Coming into the industry without any background, Nani has carved out a unique fan base for himself. Meanwhile, Nani's latest movie 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' is set to release this Thursday at a pan-India level. The trailer has already been received with great enthusiasm, boosting the confidence of Nani's fans about the film's success. However, new fears have recently emerged among Nani's fans, leading to their anxiety. What is bothering them? What could be the reasons? Let's find out in this story. Runtime Worries! The natural star Nani stars in 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,' directed by Vivek Athreya and produced by DVV Danayya. Priyanka Mohan is cast opposite Nani in this film. The movie has just completed its censor formalities and received a U/A certificate, with a fixed runtime of 2 hours and 46 minutes. This has led to concerns among Nani's fans. Their previous movie under the Nani-Vivek Athreya combination, 'Ante Sundaraniki,' had a runtime of 3 hours and ended up disappointing the fans. Now, with 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' also approaching with a lengthy runtime, fans fear a repeat of the previous experience. They believe that even if the story is good, a lengthy runtime could lead to viewer fatigue. Villain Takes the Upper Hand! In 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,' Tamil actor S.J. Suryah acts as Nani's antagonist, portraying a ruthless police officer. It seems that S.J. Suryah's role might overshadow Nani's, as the hero's role is expected to be quite subdued for the most part. Rumors suggest that the hero will have a significant impact only on Saturdays, with a more relaxed demeanor on other days. Film analysts predict that S.J. Suryah's role will leave a strong impression on the movie. Observing the recent trailer, while Nani's performance was commendable, S.J. Suryah, as the villain, had a more impactful presence. His acting prowess was striking, causing Nani's fans to express their concerns. They fear the situation if S.J. Suryah's performance eclipses their hero's. Revealing the Plot Too Soon! Actor S.J. Suryah is bringing new challenges to the 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' team. During promotional interviews, he has been openly discussing the plot, shocking everyone. He revealed why the hero only becomes active on Saturdays in one interview. At a recent promotional event, he even discussed the film's runtime before the censor was complete. This premature revelation of the movie's key points has led to fan unrest. Fans argue on social media about the loss of intrigue if everything is revealed beforehand. They are using S.J. Suryah's dialogue from the movie 'Maanaadu' – "He comes, he shoots, he repeats" – to ironically describe his current promotional tactics. You'll See the Dance of Shiva in Theaters At the recent pre-release event of 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,' Hero Nani made intriguing comments. "You will see Vivek's dance of Shiva in theaters on August 29. Everyone has worked hard for this film. It's a milestone. When I was feeling tense about the film, just listening to Jakes Bejoy's music took all that tension away. Bring extra bags of paper; Jakes has put in a lot of effort. Producer Danayya is a very positive person. He hopes for the best for the film. That's why good stories are always searching for him," said Nani, highlighting the collective effort and the anticipation surrounding the movie.

Ties and Tangles: The Marital Saga of the Akkineni Family
Ties and Tangles: The Marital Saga of the Akkineni Family
Tollywood actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and renowned actress Sobhita Dhulipala are soon to be united in marriage. Their engagement ceremony was recently held in the presence of family members, a grand affair announced personally by Akkineni Nagarjuna, which quickly went viral. However, Naga Chaitanya was previously married to star actress Samantha. Due to disagreements, they separated. With Naga Chaitanya's recent engagement, the topic of his divorce has resurfaced. There is also a discussion online suggesting that marriages do not seem to last in the Akkineni family, with netizens recalling that nearly four couples within the family have gone through divorces. Let's now look into the details of these instances. The Akkineni Family Even before the divorce between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, four other couples in the family had already ended their marriages. The legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Annapurnamma had five children, among them, Akkineni Nagarjuna became a well-known actor. Their eldest son, Akkineni Venkat, produced several films. Their daughter, Satyavati's children, Sumanth and Supriya, are also well-recognized in the Telugu film industry. Another daughter, Nagasusheela's son Sushanth, is also making his mark as an actor. https://twitter.com/iam_strganesh/status/1821881385251991843 Nagarjuna’s Divorce Sumanth’s Divorce Sumanth, the nephew of Nagarjuna and son of Satyavati and Surendra Yarlagadda, was doing well in his career when he fell in love with actress Keerthi Reddy, famed for 'Tholi Prema'. They married in August 2004 but, for unknown reasons, divorced two years later. Keerthi Reddy settled in Bangalore, while Sumanth has remained single and is recently becoming busy with films again. Tragedy in Supriya’s Life Sumanth's sister, Supriya Yarlagadda, also faced a similar situation. She debuted as an actress in the movie 'Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi', starring Pawan Kalyan. Later, she distanced herself from acting and got more involved in film production. Eventually, she married an actor named Charan Reddy with the approval of her elders, but their marriage did not last long. Charan Reddy passed away due to health issues, and since then, she has been living alone. Cancellation of Akhil’s Marriage Before the marriage of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, Akhil Akkineni was ready to tie the knot. His engagement also took place with Shriya Bhupal, a relative of Ram Charan’s wife Upasana. However, this did not lead to marriage. For some reasons, Akhil and Shriya's wedding was canceled. Following the cancellation, Shriya Bhupal married another man, while Akhil has been striving for success in the film industry. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s Divorce In 2017, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha got married in Goa, after a love that blossomed following their acquaintance during the making of the movie ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ in 2010. After seven years of being in a relationship, they got married and were recognized as Tollywood’s cute couple. Unexpectedly, they divorced in 2021, shocking fans and the entire cinema world. At that time, Samantha was heavily criticized, with some blaming her bold roles in films post-marriage as the reason for their separation.

Samantha: Similarities to the Life of Legendary Actress Savitri?
Samantha: Similarities to the Life of Legendary Actress Savitri?
It is well known that Tollywood actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and star heroine Samantha got married in 2017 and separated in 2021 due to disagreements. Three years later, Naga Chaitanya is ready to remarry, this time to actress Sobhita Dhulipala. In this context, netizens are sympathizing with Samantha, intertwining her current situation and past incidents with the life of the legendary actress Savitri. They are drawing parallels between Sam's life and that of Savitri, posting about it extensively. Let’s explore what these posts are suggesting. What’s the Connection Between Samantha and Savitri’s Life? In 2021, during her divorce from Naga Chaitanya, Samantha was heavily targeted by the public. However, now that Chaitanya is preparing for his second marriage, netizens are expressing their sympathy towards Samantha on a large scale, comparing her situation with that of Savitri, who was a celebrated actress. At the peak of her cinema career, Savitri’s life was influenced by the already married actor Gemini Ganesan. By that time, Ganesan’s career was moderate compared to Savitri’s. Savitri, deeply in love, married Ganesan but later found him intimately involved with another woman. Unable to bear the betrayal, she fell into depression and became dependent on alcohol, which led to numerous health issues and prematurely ended her career. Netizens speculate that Samantha might have undergone a similar ordeal? They suggest that these struggles drove Samantha to divorce Chaitanya. https://twitter.com/vamccrishnaa/status/1822085950098505895/ ‘What’s So Special About Sobhita?’ If Samantha Does It, It’s Wrong… If Sobhita Does It, It’s Right? Samantha was heavily criticized for her bold roles in films, which some claimed were the reason for her divorce. Now, there’s a keen interest in Sobhita's screen presence as Naga Chaitanya prepares to marry her. Netizens are pointing out that Sobhita has acted in more bold scenes than Samantha, citing her roles in the bold web series 'Made in Heaven' and her intense performances in 'The Night Manager', where she appeared in bikini and intimate scenes. Recently, in 'The Monkey Man', Sobhita was again seen in bold portrayals. This has led to questions about why Naga Chaitanya would divorce Samantha for being bold in her roles, only to marry Sobhita, who has portrayed even bolder scenes. Did You Know This About Sobhita? Sobhita Dhulipala was born in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh. She became the Femina Miss India in 2013. She entered the Bollywood scene with the 2016 movie 'Raman Raghav 2.0'. Following that, she gained recognition with movies like 'Chef' and 'Kaalakaandi'. In 2018, Sobhita made her Tollywood debut with 'Goodachari', charming the Telugu youth audience. She then played key roles in 'Major' and 'Ponniyin Selvan 1 & 2', earning praise for her performances. Recently, she acted in the American film 'Monkey Man'. She is currently involved in a Hindi film titled 'Sitara', while Naga Chaitanya is busy with 'Tandel', directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Naga Chaitanya’s Reaction Is This! Vishal vs Tamil Producers Council Controversy in Kollywood!
Vishal vs Tamil Producers Council Controversy in Kollywood!
Tamil cinema's star, Vishal, is popular not only in Tamil but also in Telugu cinema for his action-packed films, which have garnered a massive following. Known for his direct approach, Vishal often finds himself in the midst of controversies. Recently, he has become the center of a new dispute with the Tamil Producers Council. In this context, he posted a defiant message on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Try to stop me." What prompted Vishal to post this? What is the nature of his controversy with the producers' council? Let’s delve into the details. What happened? Vishal previously served as the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC). During his tenure, he faced allegations of misusing Rs. 12 crores. More recently, Vishal indirectly targeted the Tamil Nadu government and some producers in his comments about the monopoly over theaters in Tamil Nadu. He criticized the control a few individuals have over movie release timings and their overarching control of the cinema industry. Aggravated by these remarks, the TFPC imposed sanctions on him and issued an ultimatum that films should no longer be made with Vishal involved. Vishal's Strong Warning! Firmly opposing the orders of the TFPC, Vishal posted an interesting tweet, making it clear that he will not stop making films regardless of the circumstances. He warned that those who call themselves producers will never be able to produce films if they try to stop him. He also attempted to clarify the allegations regarding the misuse of funds in his post, asserting that the funds were used for the welfare of council members, providing health insurance to the elderly and economically struggling. "Didn’t Mr. Kathiresan know this decision was made with your team? Just do your job properly. There's a lot to be done for the industry, including dealing with double taxation and managing theater expenses. I will keep making films. Try to stop me," he wrote in a lengthy post on X, which has now gone viral. It remains to be seen how the Tamil Producers Council will respond to these comments. https://twitter.com/VishalKOfficial/status/1816832712193573070 How is Vishal popular? Belonging to the Tamil film industry, Vishal, born to producer G.K. Reddy on August 29, 1975, made his film debut with 'Prema Chadarangam' (2004). Although primarily active in Tamil cinema, many of his films have been dubbed into Telugu, bringing him fame in Telugu-speaking regions as well. Films like 'Pandem Kodi', 'Pogaru', 'Bharani', 'Pooja', and 'Abhimanyudu' have made him popular among Telugu audiences. Recently, Vishal appeared in the Telugu audience with 'Rathnam' (2024), which did not make a significant impact. He is currently acting in 'Thupparivaalan 2', a sequel to the 2017 film 'Detective'.
