Recently, the Devara team released several songs and unveiled the trailer on Tuesday (September 10), which has further heightened the anticipation and created a buzz around the movie. The trailer clarified that Tarak will be playing dual roles as father and son. Fans are now apprehensive since Tarak's previous dual role movies have not fared well, causing concern about the outcome of 'Devara.' Dual Roles: A Jinx? It is known that Tarak is playing dual roles in 'Devara.' He has played dual roles in several films before, such as 'Andhrawala,' 'Sakthi,' and 'Adhurs,' where he portrayed distinct characters. 'Andhrawala' was his first dual role film, directed by Puri Jagannadh, which turned out to be a huge disaster. His subsequent dual role in 'Sakthi' also flopped badly. These films have left painful memories for Tarak and his fans. However, his experiment with 'Adhurs' was somewhat successful, though it did not achieve commercial success, earning only a two-crore margin (grossing Rs. 28 crores) on a budget of Rs. 26 crores. It is known that Tarak is set to star in a film directed by 'KGF' fame Prashanth Neel, currently under the working title 'NTR 31.' In this film too, Jr NTR is expected to play dual roles. One of the roles is rumored to be a 75-year-old man, a character unlike any he has played before, and another as a mafia don. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this film is soon to go on floors. 'NTR 31' might also face the same sentiment issues if 'Devara' results in an unexpected outcome, as the working title 'Dragon' is also under consideration for this project. How's the Devara Trailer? Rajamouli is a master at grasping the pulse of the audience and crafting films accordingly. However, many directors have attempted to emulate Rajamouli's style and failed. They tried making films with similar themes to Rajamouli's and ended up burning their fingers.
